  1. <p>QAW was a big sleeper hit with me in TEW16. I didn't expect to get as engrossed in it as I did. Now, I tried to make a AAA replacement using Scott Sneer (Shane Sneer's custom son) and noticed the lack of depth. Once I fill out my roster (I only hire unemployed for my games), I notice that's it. Slim pickings.</p><p> </p><p> Looking forward to this and love the new logos and titles.</p>
  2. I'm totally jacking your style for my own diary. I can't do the pictures anymore. It takes way too much time setting up all the pictures.
  3. Can people help me and drop some good generic tag team names for a Southern Wrasslin' promotion?
  4. Product is Classic Southern Wrasslin'. Same as is listed in the inactive SCCW. I literally went down the alumni list of SCCW and hired every single person I could. Unfortunately, many of them have retired and left the business. The indy workers I hired are guys who are southern (Cockroach Carter and Jason Patterson) or who I think fit the Southern Wrasslin product (Texas Hangman). Even put Buzz Reid (Geogia Born working a Tough Southern Man gimmick) with Whiskey Jack as The New Tennessee Outlaws with Herb Stately managing them. I started at 22 pop in the south east because that was the last pop score of SCCW. I joined COTT because I think the description of SCCW in the database makes sense that they'd join. I really only use it to trade for other company's jobbers to job to my roster. No broadcast deal yet. Only running one event a month. Conflicted on whether to get one or not. My shows are heavily tilted towards the SCCW originals since they're almost all nearing retirement age. Guys like my current and inaugural reborn SCCW Champion Jack Griffith, The Maryland Express, Gareth Wayne, Whiskey Jack, Smokey Joe (AKA Lazy Joe), Tank Bradley and Little Bil Lebowski all feature heavily in the shows. I really want to give them all one last run before trnasitioning to the newer and more popular talent. Edit: My goal for them is to run a true southern promotion and make them a regional powerhouse. I don't really care about taking them national, I don't think that's the spirit of SCCW. Keep them profitable and help them have a long history of above average, southern wrasslin and maybe create a few local heroes along the way.
  5. Resurrected SCCW with "Scott Sneer", Shane Sneer's youngest and troublesome son. First show, I forgot to hire referees so I had Jemma Griffin refing every match.
  6. Since an event is weekly, there's less of a "need" or "FOMO" for people to rush to it since they know there is going to be another event the next week so therefore, ticket sales should be lower. Think of it this way, if you know your favorite band is playing in your hometown every week, there's no sense of urgency to see them, however if they only come once a year, you know you need to get tickets to the show or you'll have to wait another year.
  7. Yeah, you don't really need to use "exploits" you can always use the in game editor to change stuff. So making a harder "base game" while retaining the in game editor allows both fantasy bookers and people who want to play realistically, and those in between to be happy.
  8. I personally think that TV ASAP is a trap, similar to how growing to Cult was a trap. You really wanted to at least be C+ or B- in pop in your home region before jumping to Cult in old games. I think it's something similar here. I just add events. I'll have my main event, and then I'll have something like: MAW Presents: WRESTLING!, as a second monthly event which basically boils down to promos and squash matches.

  12. There used to be a "give me rules for my game" thread in the TEW16 forum where users would give very interesting challenges and goals to fulfill.
  13. Depends. I usually set restrictions on myself depending what company I play. I usually always avoid hiring indy darlings and only sign veterans when they're going to be putting over my workers. I'm currently playing an NYCW game where my goal is to try and keep the focus of the company on NYCW "originals" and become a regional powerhouse. I've played SWF games where my goal is to get over certain low level workers (you ever try and make Mark Smart a world champ?). I've played MAW where the goal is to try and develop as many prospects as I can and see if I can breed a world champion. I once did a TCW game where I set the matches but didn't set the victor for any matches and let the AI choose who won. My favorite owner goal that I often use in all my games is that I canonly hire people who are unemplyed.
  14. In case you have to contact Scott, he's VERY receptive and usually get bak to you within a few days (twice he got back to me he same day)
  15. I love the idea of "Primetime" Pryde actually being really insecure and nervous about everything since he's early in his career. Almost like a reluctant celebrity. Such a great take on him.
  16. The DiMeo family really disappointed me this save. The tag team is serviceable but Machine Gun Marino is kind of a bust and Sal DiMeo handed in his notice. I can hire him back right now, but at this point, I just don't want to. My plan of hiring Spencer Edmund as "Spencer DiMeo" has kind of fizzled out, so now I don't know what to do with them. The jobber idea I had last post has really worked well, so I think that's the rotation I'm going to do in most of my companies. Signing James Justice is really the main way I'm profitable based on merch sales. He still pulls in 20K and my next highest, McManus pulls in like $400. I'm in 2023, so we're really perparing for the next generation of NYCW grown wrestlers. I have 4 who I've hired that I'm actively grooming and I'm continuing to hire aging stars to feed to my upper card.
  17. January 2023 NYCW: NYCW Empire Title Doc "Scout" Hammond Transitional. I had him beat Riley after a two year reign to break up Riley's title run and eventually put him over. Riley McManus has been a great success in NYCW and wil definitely be in the title picture until he's 40 (so the next 4 years). NYCW Tag Team Titles The Boys From the Yukon x4 This is going to be their final title run. I have a few up and coming tag teams of young workers so I'm not sure who will dethrone them. NYCW Tri-State Regional Jay Silver w/ Cheerleader Nikki My current project. He's pretty good and 21. He's still young. This is going to be a short reign jut to give him a taste of gold. NYCW King of New York None I forgot to book the 2022 King of New York...

  19. What personality type and behaviors does he have. My first impetous is tha in the 90s - early 2000's he'd probably no-show and bail but in the modern day, he'd be likely to take the payoff.
  20. Just dropping a few name ideas I frequently use: The A-Listers MS-08 Team (Shamelessly stolen) Wolves Inc. (Think NWO but corporate) Birthright Flawless The Militia
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Editor6" data-cite="Editor6" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49963" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I"m always afraid of burning through money at lower levels. Wages and production add up.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Same, especially these production prices. I'm holding off until I can turn a nice profit.</p>
  22. So much bad chemistry. My tag team division is falling apart due to bad chemistry.
  23. It's now January 2022 and we're considered small. Rival company effects have hit and our shows which should average in the low 50's are now being rated in the mid 40's. The production updates I'd need to make are a big jump in money spent. I'm averaging about $15K a month in profit and upgrading the production values would end up costing me about 20-40k a month. I was running two shows a month and I've cut the second show. We're now being streamed on demand at WrestleWorld at 60% to NYCW. We make on average 2K a month form the broadcast deal, which is really nothing. I'm upgrading merchandise. I signed an aging James Justice who was unemployed to be a special attraction for us, and he pulls massive merch numbers, about 20K a month from him alone. For comparison, we're making 26K a month in merch, total! And he's signed to a $2,600 an appearance contract, so he was totally worth the money. My current plan is to grow nationally, 1 event a month until the merch money can upgrade our production at which point we'll grow and get a better TV deal. Focusing on East Coast Today as our next broadcast goal. One thing I wasn't ready for was workers handing in their notice, seemingly randomly. Rock Downpour did it and Sal DiMeo did it in the middle of a push. For DiMeo, I hired the unemployed Spencer Edmund, remaned him Spencer DiMeo and put him in charge of The DiMeo Family. I notice you can usually hire them back after a while, as I rehired Rock Downpour about 6 months later. I'm also hiring indy guys to 3 month contracts to job for me. This keeps their morale from tanking and gives me fresh jobbers to elevate my main roster.
