  1. There is a tie with the vote. We have now entered the revote phase. <strong>ShibataHeadbutt, Leion</strong> the two of you now must either come to consensus with your vote or both of you could risk elimination if you cannot come to agreement as to who you want to eliminate. Take your time, discuss your options and when you both come to a decision send me a PM with your vote. Once again if you have any questions just ask me. I might not be back until after 11pm EST, so I might not be able to get back to you quickly. I am writing this on an XBox and it is a massive pain in the butt to type on here.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

She will only vote at the end of the game. If there is a tie, the tie breaker is decided by a revote between you and Leion. If the two of you cannot come to an agreement in regards to who you want out, then Destiny and Michgcs become Immune and you and Leion will be up for elimination. I will then put your name and Leion's name on the wheel and either you or Leion will be eliminated by the random draw of the wheel.</p>
  3. Player List:

    1. Destiny

    2. michgcs

    3. ShibataHeadbutt

    4. Leion

    Jury:

    1.franticloser

    Episode Two: Final Four

Rules: Two players listed below have been selected by franticloser to be up for elimination. The other two players are Immune from the vote and will be the only two players voting this episode. This is because the two people on the block would have to vote for each other thus canceling out their fellow block member's vote.

In the event of a tie vote, the two Immunue players will have to revote. If they can not agree on who to eliminate then the two non-Immune players will become safe and the two original Immune players' names will be placed on the magic wheel and whoever is chosen by the wheel will be eliminated.

This is a blind vote which means that ShibataHeadbutt and Leion should PM me their votes. The result will not be posted in thread until I get both votes or if there is a tie.

franticloser chose Michgcs and Destiny to be up for elimination for this round.

Notes: Once again, if there is anything that is not clear about the rules just ask me in the thread and I will do my best to clarify it. There will be no time limit on this round as it ends when ShibataHeadbutt & Leion vote. Good luck players!

  4. And due to being a late sleeper I am now non immune sadness :(

Sorry franticloser you have been eliminated from the game. You are now the first member of the jury. You can now nominate two people for elimination for the next episode. Please PM me your selections. I will post them sometime after 11pm EST. that will be when the next episode will begin.

  5. Here are the results of the magic wheel (Not sure why I am calling it that.)...

    c1MK7y5.jpg

Leion is the first to gain immunity!

Okay Leion, you now must decide who you would like to give Immunity to.

    Immune Players: Leion

Non-Immune Players: Destiny, franticloser, michgcs, ShibataHeadbutt

Leion, once you select a name for safety, could you please add them to the list of Immune players and remove them from the above list of non-immune players? That is how we will keep the game going because I usually get online around 11pm EST, so the round might come to an end while I am not online.

Will there be a new thread or will we stick to this one?

I think the mods would get mad if I made another thread, so we shall stick with this one.

  6. Episode One: Never Break The Chain

Rules: One player will be selected by random draw to be immune. That person will then choose another player to be immune. This will continue until there is one player left that is not immune, that final player will be the first eliminated from the game. However, that person will also be able to nominate any two players for elimination in episode two before they leave the game.

Notes: Okay I think the rules for this round are pretty simple, that being said if there is anything that is not clear just ask me in the thread and I will do my best to clarify it.

There will be no time limit on this round as it has to end with four people safe and one up for elimination. From this point forward I will not have much to post in the thread as it is your game you will decide the outcome. I will post the results of the magic wheel in my next post and the game will begin from there. I hope everyone enjoys themselves and good luck!

  7. I will give it a spin

Thank you! With that, we have five. I will send out private messages to everyone informing them that the game will begin. From there, as per the rules of the first round, I will go on wheeldecide.com and input the names on the wheel. Whoever is chosen by the wheel will be the first Immune player.

Seeing how we have five, the first three eliminated from the game will make up the jury. The other two players will be the final two.

  8. <p>Last pitch for me.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Here are the rules for round one, so that people can see what this game might be like...</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="50597" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>Episode 1: Never Break The Chain</strong><p> </p><p> <strong>Rules:</strong> One player will be selected by random draw to be immune. 9. Hi everyone, while I have been living in sequester over the last couple of months I have been watching the web base reality show sequester. The show is basically a game where people are voted out each round. Every round has different twists that will impact how the voting process will work for that particular round.

After a certain amount of time (depending on the number of players) the game will enter the jury phase of the game. At that point, any player who has been eliminated will make up the jury. The members of the jury will decide the winner of the game between the final two.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would like to try a GDS version of the game. I cannot really replicate the game exactly on this site, but I can make a version of the game. All strategy will have to take place out in the open in full view of all the other players and the audience. In the actual game, players can go from room to room but that is just not possible to do on this site.

This game will have elements of Mafia in it, which would probably make it easier for former mafia players to play. You would not be required to have played mafia prior to this as the rules will never be too hard to follow.

I am not sure if there is any interest in this. If there is but people might not understand what they are getting into I can post the rules for round one (Not much of a spoiler, just so people can get a better understanding of how the game could be played). If there is no interest in this game then we can just allow it to fall to the ash heap of the site.

I am thinking twelve players would be a nice minimum (I am not sure I could get that many) but I guess I could swing it with as few as say five. I could also use a co-mod for the game as well if anyone is interested. Someone who could help with vote counts and maybe ideas for round rules. I have some basic ideas but without knowing how many players could possibly be in the game I cannot make concrete rules for later rounds yet.

So yeah, if anyone is interested you are more than welcome to join. If nobody is interested then that will be that.

    Player List:

    1. Destiny

    2. michgcs

    3. franticloser

    4. ShibataHeadbutt

    5. Leion

Edited to add: I will probably leave signups open for at least one more day. If I can get to five we could hold a mini-version of the game (It would not work with any number under five). Thank you to everyone who has signed up to play thus far.

  10. I was in Kindergarten for BB2, so not much for me to recall from then. :p:p Did my share of diving deep though as a Big Brother obsessive.

Damn I really feel old now, I had just graduated from college the year before BB2.

Agreed on Kim, I will just say that taking out Sandra is much more than we could have really expected from Denise. She is hidden in this cast every time you play it out, guarenteed. Just never going to be memorable enough, despite a great season she came from, with an awesome dynamic between her and Malcolm and hitting all the Tribals throughout that season. She easily faded into obscurity to most fans, though I remained a supporter of hers. Was just awesome to see her show off a savvy game move when I never thought she would bother. She truly is a survival kind of Survivor haha

That is why I like Denise she's a smart, low key winner. I will say this, I was shocked when I read she was like 42 when she won her first season. I thought for sure she was in her early 50's. Then again I am terrible at guessing people's ages.

You're not kidding! First, I'll note its funny to me that my girlfriend despises Survivor U.S. (and Big Brother) and has a hard time sitting through any episode, despite quality.. but she caught me watching Survivor AU2 with some Luke, and we watched a couple more seasons together in the days following. She loved it, and said she still wouldn't watch Survivor U.S. Crazy to me, but I get it. Much more dynamic in a lot of ways, but maybe I've just been burnt out by Probst and the formula at this stage. David Genat is definitely my favorite winner of all-time. This guy has everything I want in a player, personally, and a friend. :p I really connected with him, have a big man crush still hahaha, and enjoyed every second of screen time from the Golden God. He is the kind of character and player I watch this shows for. No doubt. Haha

Very glad you brought it up, I would recommend it to others as well! I have yet to watch New Zealand yet, though, have you?

I get why your girlfriend would like the Aussie version over the US version. The last season of the American version that I liked was Survivor: David vs. Goliath. The three seasons after, including Winners at War, have just not been my cup of team. Though I will say based on the theme alone David vs. Goliath had no reason to be as good as it was but the cast is what made it. Davie, Nick, Christian, Gabby, John Morrison/Nitro, Carl, Lyrsa, Natalie, Angelina, Mike White. That was just an awesome cast. Very unpopular opinion but I loved Angelina, she was such a great villain and it is not usually normal to have a Survivor season with a woman as one of the biggest villains.

On the other site that I post on which talks about Survivor, the people hated Luke. Seriously, I was probably the only one that liked him. I loved that he was chaotic and took such a lighthearted approach to playing the game.

Yeah man, it is tough not to like David Genat. The dude is the definition of charming and the thing is you would think someone with his job would be snobby and not relatable but that is simply not the case.

I have watched some of New Zealand, but I will be honest with you I was bored to tears. They had (I am not sure it is still up) the most recent season on YouTube. I think there were a couple of episodes missing. I am not sure if it is a cultural thing or just a casting problem but I found the Kiwi's to be bland.

I saw a few episodes of Survivor: South Africa and they were pretty good. But once again YouTube did not have complete seasons so that sort of took my interest out of watching it.

  11. EOE is not good. Not even a little. We have seen pretty much all there could be to see from it, positives-wise, and I'm good there. Never needed it, but I get it as a good lifeline to get big characters like Rob back onto the show (knowing he will be voted out guaranteed).

And then there is Tony. Someone I would've also said is to be voted out, guaranteed. Instead, he did it. To play at that level, for that length of the game, with such a high caliber opposition.. Greatest of All Time sounds accurate, at least as far as recency bias is concerned. :p Natalie's story was really shoe-horned in, it seemed. I didn't watch her on Amazing Race, but generally enjoy her just for the association with Jeremy both times she played. Love that guy. Agree on Michelle. Hated her coming into the season, and she came out with a big fan in me this time around. Every time something didn't go her way, I genuinely felt for her as I saw an honest thought process this time around. We never got that when she won (robbed Goddess Aubry) and I know I resented her all this time for that. Screamed in joy for her to kick down that puzzle for the second straight time trailing the entire challenge. I like her now. :p

If you're down, I'm a pretty big super fan so would easily be able to break down gameplay from pretty much everyone over the course of the entire season. If you're a fan like I am I figure that might be an appetizing proposition. :) Regardless, I'll say kudos to Denise this season (pre-merge), I really enjoyed Adam, my opinion Ben surprised me by getting even lower.. Hard boot to handle most weeks so overall it was a very enjoyable season. I think they have the advantage of it being such a quality season on paper, that it couldn't have shaken out terribly too often, if it were to play out repeatedly, in a vacuum. Yul Kwon was far and away my favorite to watch this season, what a welcome sight from the past that has been underutilized by casting. :D

Yul was my favorite winner ever (Earl Cole was a close second) and so I was kind of annoyed that he got voted out so quickly. I think casting has tried to bring him back prior but he has always refused. Because come on the dude belong on the Heroes Tribe if anyone ever did. I don't think I have ever heard anyone ever say a bad thing about him.

Adam was too neurotic for me. Oddly enough even though he is a recent winner I do not remember his playstyle all that well. I have this thing where I can remember as clear as day stuff that happened in the earlier seasons, but nothing in the more recent seasons. Same with Big Brother I can remember clearly stuff that Dr. Will did in season two, but if you were to ask me about Jackson the most recent winner I would not have a clue.

I was actually disappointed in Denise and Kim's play. They were two of my favorite winners and neither really did all that much. Sure Denise knocked out Sandra but other than that she was just there. Same goes for Kim, she was just sort of there all season long.

If you have the time and you have not already done so, I would recommend you check out Australian Survivor. The last few seasons of Aussie Survivor have been far superior to that of the American counterpart. Plus the last winner played one of the best games I have ever witnessed on any Survivor.

  13. I have recently gotten into reaction videos of people hearing different music for the first time on YouTube. I am not sure why I am interested in it, because more often than not the reactor offers no real insight but I do enjoy those videos.

One channel had these two college-aged guys talking about how they had never heard of the Rolling Stones. That completely flummoxed me, how could they have not heard of the Rolling Stones?

Yes, the Stones were last relevant in the 1970s but their music is still played to this very day in various forms of media. It is like when a buddy of mine saw a clip of the Beatles and he said, "Dude is that guy right there the old dude in that Kayne West/Rihanna song?" I seriously thought of strangling my friend right there and then. The jury would have probably found me not guilty due to it being a justifiable homicide.

After all, how does someone who is in their late 30's not know who Paul McCartney is? And the only way my buddy knew him was through the worst song Paul has ever been on. That song was trash and nobody could convince me otherwise.

My point I guess is, am I the person who is not normal? After all the Stones and the Beatles were big years before I was born, yet I knew who they were. Growing up I knew who Buddy Holly, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline were. Hell, I even knew who Louis Armstrong was and he was big way before I was born.

Is it that younger generations are not exposed to older music or am I just an exception to the rule?

I don't think the Ultimate Warrior...I mean Nighthawk, is the one to become a three-time winner. I think he will fall short, the question is will it be in this match or the next one (I don't think he will get to the fifth match.)

  15. That being said, try to have 4 episodes booked and written out before posting anything. Again, it tests your interest and commitment. Too many projects fade out immediately because of overexcitement.

Funny you say this because I had one of the longest-running diaries (At the time, I think it lasted two years or just shy of that.) and I wrote it one show at a time. For me, if I get too far ahead I might forget things I previously wrote. I also never have a set direction with which I want to go, I would rather keep it fluid that way if something happens I can pivot to something else.

Saying that I have a general idea and I tend to follow it, but I will never marry myself to one single way because you never know what might happen. I once had Ade Nelson debut in a diary as That 80's Guy. He was at a Wham concert in 1980 something and he slipped through a portal (Which was located in a bathroom) to the then modern times (Which was 2015 at that time). I created this backstory just so I could make a George Michael bathroom joke, but that character took off with reads and so I focused more on him. That is what I mean by never marrying myself to one straight plan because if people give a character positive feedback, you better believe that character is going to be featured as often as I possibly can.

My advice would be don't listen to the advice of others. There is no right way to write a diary, what might work for you might not work for others. It is one of those things you have to figure out by trial and error. Yes, this thread is a good idea and if one sees something they think can help them out that is posted in this thread then I would say run with it. But do not take anything in here as gospel because once again what works for me, might not work for you.

  16. I watched a little bit of the Mance Warner episode (Mance might be my favorite wrestler in MLW and I am not even sure why that is the case. He's just awesome) the other day and they had Salina de la Renta on it and it got me wondering what happened to her. The last time I remember seeing her was at the pay-per-view when she was driven through the table by LA Park. She sort of just disappeared after that.

Which is a shame because I thought she was fantastic. She was sexy, she was good on the microphone, she was just a good manager. Though I will say this when I found out she was a believer in the earth being flat her hotness factor did drop down a little. Come on this isn't 1450, we do know the earth is round.

  18. I just read that Jerry Sloan passed away. I always considered him one of the most underrated coaches, yes I know how could he have been underrated if he was the fourth winningest coach in NBA history. Well, he never coached a team that won a championship. It does not diminish how great of a coach he was, because he often would get a lot out of talent that was not great, but I feel in other eyes winning championships are all that matter.

First the great Don Shula and now Jerry.

  19. I know there used to be Survivor fans on here years ago, I am not sure if they are still around or not. If they are I was wondering how everyone felt about Tony winning Winners at War and how people felt about EOE.

Personally I was happy to see him win. I thought he played the best game out of anyone. Plus I cannot stand Natalie, going back to her days on The Amazing Race, so I was happy to see her lose. I felt Michelle should have gotten more votes in the finals and I wish she would have finished in second place.

I am not a fan of EOE, I hate the fact that someone can be the first voted out and still win the game. I hated it when Chris one the first EOE season as well.

  20. How many more people have to kill themselves before social media as an issue gets seriously confronted? When will people realize the hurt they can inflict by spouting nonsense on Twitter?

Twitter is a cesspool, I am so glad I got rid of it. A buddy of mine said to me about a year ago, "Get rid of Twitter and you will be much happier." Now I was never really active on Twitter but I decided to take his advice and he was absolutely right.

Same goes for Facebook, I got rid of it years ago after some crazy chick stalked me on it and told me she was going to show up at my house. That was enough for me and I got rid of it. That was one of the best things I have ever done.

If I can give anyone any sound advice I would say either delete your social media accounts or severely scale back your interactions on such sites, you will be better off for it in the long run.

  21. If you are into 1980's WWF (or even some non-WWF promotions) you can always check out earlier ECW as well. Granted that part of the promotion's history has not held up or aged well compared to after Shane threw the title in the garbage. But you did have the likes of Eddie Gilbert, the Dark Patriot, Terry Taylor, Pat Tanaka, The Warlord, Kevin Sullivan, Tito Santana, Jimmy Snuka, Nikolai Volkoff, King Kong Bundy, Don Muraco, and the previously mentioned Terry Funk.
