  1. "Doctor, doctor, the patient is regaining full movement in their extremities, and their vitals look to be stabilizing. You were right. Removing the tumors labeled Hogan and Bischoff might just save WCW." "Keep an eye on those two tumors labeled Hall and Nash, but I might just have done it!" Now to see if you can do better than Halloween Havoc 1998 since that was on Retro Ups and Downs today, and even Simon, who loves WCW, hated the show.
  2. The only counter to that is that what you're describing is pretty much every territory in the 70s and 80s, just without the arenas being that big (in the 8-15k range with the odd Shea Stadium show by the WWWF). So, if you capped arena max size per level, I wouldn't be horribly opposed to that being in there. No human player is going to play a fed like that a ton (outside of Mammoth's upcoming 1970 mod and the C-Verse 1977 mod), and you can still sign nearly everyone once you're bigger than they are so it's not like they're going to hurt you. Is it ugly to look at? Yes. Is it something utterly gamebreaking? Not really. Also, what year are you watching in that mod? That mod starts in the 1920s so if you're pre-cable in the 1970s, that may be why they're stuck with essentially local tv, especially if the big networks are properly set to require large pop in nearly all the US regions to get on them which is impossible for a non-touring fed to do. Plus, as you noted, it makes no financial sense to go bust into another region to just get stuck on the same garbage local TV. But I haven't played or even downloaded that mod in this version or played the game much at all due to the angle pop issue that no one will ever present a solution for or Adam has patched. That just kills any chance of boosting anyone out of obscurity or really building anyone with the regular TV and big monthly event model. The bad thing is that it has also killed any interest in going back to 2016 too. It's about time to start suggesting that Arlie find another game designer to take this over. Adam seems burnt out (he's been doing this pretty much the entire new century so that's a justifiable thing. Sid Meier made 2 Civ games, Wright made 2 or 3 SimCity games and 1 Sims game, I think. Point is no one stays on one series this long.) and the game has exceeded what the programming language can do. I'd hate for Adam to go out on a dud, both from the glaring issues and the utter dearth of mods, but this is the first one that is functionally worse than its predecessor even with several great new features.
  3. Push Tito to the moon!!! One of my favorite 80s wrestlers who never gets mentioned when talking about that decade. Maybe he can become the Nikita Koloff buddy of Dusty once you put the belt on Magnum TA.
  4. <p>I now won't have to sue Gawker, brother!</p><p> </p><p> You didn't put him on permanent vacation? Once Adam added that lawsuit feature, I thought that was the best way to handle egomaniacs in TEW. Certainly cheaper than a $100 million lawsuit. You should be able to make plenty of money to eat that before bankruptcy though, I hope. Stupid Hogan.</p>
  5. As long as Magnum doesn't wreck his car, nothing is going to keep the NWA at bay, bay bay errr..baby. Especially since you already have Piper and Savage and Lawler.
  6. <p>"That's what you get for jobbing me out, brother."<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Hopefully, everything can be resolved quickly.</p>
  7. Oh if only WCW had ditched the NWO or just redid it like you're doing in this, we could very well be talking about who WCW was hiring and complaining about their booking right now. Sigh...what could have been.
  8. It will likely make WWE unplayable, but after their actions this week, Vince should get the Scumbag trait. It's just indefensible. I hope several of the wrestlers just sue. "You're not employees, but we're going to take your personal channels, most of your profits, attach that to your downsides, and since that won't make you want to ever use Twitch again, make you stream or be fired." I kinda wish Judge Judy hadn't retired just to see what she'd say about that. If any of it could make it to air. Much less how fast a real judge is going to toss Vince out.
  9. I've been here (mostly except when I got run off the board and then didn't have internet for a couple of years) from literally day 1 of TEW, and it has always had this problem to some degree. Why people think they have to be the gateway to anything going into the game instead of relying on Adam has frustrated me for a long time. And your offer of help off of the board isn't going to solve anything. The problems need to be out in the open so ADAM can see them to fix them. You, me, or anyone else, while helpful can't fix the code. And I would guarantee you that the dead board and the dead modding board are 100% correlated. Modding with 2020 is pure hell, which it really shouldn't be, and the converter is wildly inconsistent on certain things. Thus, the staggering lack of mods finished for 2020 and the most popular mods from previous versions were done by newcomers, which God bless them for doing it so we have something.
  10. Sigh...why can no one have any complaints about something in the game without someone or several someones come crashing down on them on some spectrum of rudeness? This has been going on for years, and it is actually harming the game. Why? Adam isn't a mind-reader, and it seems to me that he doesn't actually play the game very much (not sure how many creators actively play their finished games either so he's probably the norm). This means that if there is anything that pops up from regular long-term play, he's not going to see it if no one reports it. So, please list all the things that you wish were improved/tweaked/fixed or however you want to frame it, and please, for the love of everything, let people do it in peace. Disagree with their conclusion/suggestion? Make a CONSTRUCTIVE counterpoint. Adam is taking the feedback to heart. He's already seriously tweaked the game when the 2 people that actually made good points about pop gain made their voices very loud and clear. It went way overboard and Medium TV is now utterly nerfed despite it being the most common max size for American TV, but it's better than everyone hitting Big on tiny internet. As for the game itself, angles are completely broken/useless as the only suggestions I've seen in multiple threads to get guys gaining pop from angles is blatant cheating so that's seriously harming my desire to play the game. Pop gain makes no sense either, especially compared to how you could plan everything out in 2016. Now, it's "Will this match get the guy I'm pushing to gain any pop?" flip a coin. That makes long-term planning quite difficult.
  11. <p>After looking through NWA, I think a lot of the issues the mod has are the same that pretty much every other 2020 mod has, namely non-wrestlers having 0 experience. So, I'd say you will need to go over the mod with a focus there to give people the proper experience because B-show road agents need at least 40 experience and your top ones have to have 80+, or they start screwing up segments if they have more than 1 or 2 per show.</p><p> </p><p> On that note, nobody that is still an active, non-OC wrestler should be a road agent or have other non-wrestler roles ticked. There's a Future every role setting in the attributes which is where all of those should go. I'm sure this is a conversion problem because before now you had to set those roles and had options on the frequency they were used. This is two-fold. 1)If they're really good in those roles and mediocre pop wrestlers, their salaries are inflated. 2)Everything becomes extremely clunky. NWA has like 20 managers without clients, 15 road agents, and ticking the announcer/CC-only tab on announcers doesn't help nearly as much as it should.</p><p> </p><p> The final potential converter issue is some of the drug use made me go hmmm...Maybe all of them are exactly how you want them, if so, fine as it's your mod and an alternate universe so maybe Flair is a drug addict in 1994, for example. It's a super-hard thing to get right in the converter as I know from taking weeks and weeks editing Matt's 1985 mod for a personal game that the editor takes any percentage as "This person was buying drugs regularly so smack a big penalty on him/her." when previous versions were "1-10% didn't directly affect anything other than possibly down-the-road turning into an addict." so some people got set that way because they'd tried it once or twice.</p><p> </p><p> Two little things. You have to up NWA's production levels for one of their foreign deals so that probably needs to be upped in the mod. Also, Tony and Caudle have no announcer experience together which is just weird to me. You have to add Dusty to get medium levels.</p><p> </p><p> And some of the broadcasters aren't set to the proper type. Unless I've read everything wrong, my interpretation of the network types is Terrestrial is what you get from an antenna, which in the US means those 4-letter stations with a W or K (but not WTBS/TBS) or the 5 major networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and CW). Everything else in the US requires a box, at least before streaming became a thing, so should be cable. Honestly, it's not going to be a major issue. Just Terrestrial is about a 15 point higher show requirement for the timeslot than cable is. And I have no idea on anything outside of the US.</p><p> </p><p> I'm really, really, really intrigued by the mod, and I love the world and history you've created. Pretty much all of the issues are due to the converter. It's unbelievably time-consuming to fix them all, and that experience one is super-easy to miss. So, I definitely am not trying to be harsh or negative at all. It's just incredibly hard to get everything right straight out of the gate with any mod, especially a converted one in 2020. The stats and pop are excellent from what I've seen though.</p>
  12. Sigh...now I wish I had know this while doing a mass merge of the WOTI mod for WWF/E as they're all wrong as I just went in era order. But while on the subject of brand split improvements, PLEASE make brands sortable in the editor. It is so bad not having that.
  13. First, you need to bring enough eye bleach for all of us if you're going to use images like that. Second, the only solution is to go into the editor and set every non-basic match to not be a default match. The AI only uses default matches. I wish the AI was a hell of a lot smarter with that as I'm not sure what chaos that'll cause with ECW (you could set the more standard hardcore matches as default too but the auto-booker will grab them too and Hogan doesn't do thumbtacks, brother.) or GLOW.
  14. Oh shoot, I forgot to mention that. Actually, it's Steve Keirn that is labeled as the default Tommy Rich pic. The other couple of Rich pics are of him.
  15. Yeah, as a Doctor Who fan, I have limited knowledge of how British TV has worked over the decades, and it is radically different than how the US is. But yeah, subscription in the game is essentially Netflix or Hulu. There are some of the channel types in the game that I think Adam just left in because it was easier than taking them out because they don't exist irl. Like Terrestrial PPV. Also, looking at the attributes, I think you must have done the initial converting with one of the earliest betas that had the unfortunate issue of turning all drug and drinking use into Heavy as there are a lot of heavy drug users in the game that don't make sense. And somehow Buddy Landel has no drug use at all when that's a large part of why he never amounted to anything, though that's likely a legacy issue before you got to the data. Oh, and the current-ish day WWE is still really lousy compared to everything else. Rollins is great but most everyone else is way too low. I know I'd mentioned that in 2016 too. That can go on the backburner as I doubt anyone is going to play as them when you have so many historical feds to choose.
  16. Thanks so much for putting this out for 2020. I just downloaded it last night, but there are some major broadcaster issues in the US. TBS somehow got set to Cable Subscription channel instead of Cable Commercial which is literally how every cable channel in the US is. I don't know what kind of issue that would cause in a game since you've got Sat. Night set to Late Night on TBS and sub channels are strictly On Demand only. Posted it in tech support since the game isn't set to check that. Also, I know we're way weirder on how our TV is set up compared to the rest of the world. Terrestrial Commercial--These are stations you can get from an antenna. Those are ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW and also any of the 4-letter local channels you have in there along with WMC-5. So, if it isn't on this list, they're Cable Commercial. Cable Subscription--These really don't exist at least the way they are in TEW. You buy cable or satellite and you get a ton of channels set in 3-6 pay tiers. The closest one would be Playboy TV as you have to specifically order it on top of any cable package. I wouldn't even consider the movie channels that way because Sub channels are On Demand only which doesn't describe them. If you did like HBOMAX, that would work as that's like Netflix. Cable Commercial--Should be everything not Terrestrial that isn't Internet or PPV. That's how almost every channel is. I'm only going to play US companies and have 0 idea how TV works overseas so I'll assume they're fine but you probably need to do one more pass just to avoid another TBS missed drop-down selection as those happen. With the new editor, it only takes a couple of minutes to fix them so we can do them ourselves, but I thought you'd like to know. Again, thanks so much. This is always a blast of a mod to play.
  17. I was going to ask if you'd do one for TV (well 2 since I'd be interested in cable and terrestrial) since everyone knew Internet has been broken from the word go, but with the new patch, I'm not sure it's even worth it. Mainly, I'm reaching the conclusion that the game was broken early on in the beta, but it's been papered over very well with internet being utterly broken and PPV giving slightly higher boosts. That's why I've had so much trouble when I play as I'm playing mods that either don't have internet or I'm not on any internet companies. Just with worker pop gains, but now, if the nerf is accurately implimented, I guess I'll have company pop problems too which affects worker pop in 2020. I tried to do it myself last night, but I'd have to assign everyone to rosters and owners/bookers or they cancel the TV deals.
  18. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="51141" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>1. Stuff your roster with several guys in the editor with "White Hot" momentum. They have ONE job - "Major Defeat" in angles. Put them in storyline "unaligned" or "side 4", and stick them in, rated on "something" they're not awful at, and "Major Defeat".<p> </p><p> Worry about momentum first - when you have momentum, popularity will come by itself.</p><p> </p><p> 2. Give EVERYONE a skill that can be rated in angles at about 80+. Fighting requires either Brawling/Puro/Hardcore. Entertainment requires Charisma (but Mic Skills determine how long they can "go"). So, make sure everyone is rated 80 at something if they don't have enough popularity. But even if they're rated 100 in everything, having 70 popularity will contribute to 75 rated angles.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 3. Charisma/Star Power, Menace can only go on for 4 minutes. They are worthless and should rarely be used, except in "minor angles". Don't use them. This isn't TEW2016 where you can rate people on Menace or Entertainment and have The Rock or The Undertaker carry a 10-15 minute segment alone. They will NEED someone like Shawn Michaels to "sell, major defeat" in the same storyline while Undertaker gets "major win" and either "entertainment, fighting, selling".</p><p> Also - all angles rate on popularity MUCH higher than anything else.</p><p> </p><p> 4. "Not enough action in angle". Meaning, you need someone rated on fighting, selling, entertainment - something that "includes action". Also it's better if you can find a way to include folks in the same storyline using "Success" and "Defeat". I like to use a 5 person storyline with 4 "Major Success" and one "Defeat" to get momentum going. Once you have momentum going, popularity is easy. When you're not gaining pop, momentum might be the foul.</p><p> </p><p> You can use a storyline with 5 winners and one loser - as long as they're all in the same storylines, it will work. And if it's a hot angle anyway, you can even stick in a few folks from other storylines to pass them some heat, too.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> I have a few other tricks, but I fear saying them would cause them to be "fixed" (nerfed) and I don't want "a hard, competitive game", so saying too much would sabotage myself.</p><p> </p><p> Get momentum up first. Once you have momentum, popularity will come.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> 2 things--1)That's a lot of what I'd term cheating. 2)I never said I had any problems booking good angles (though clearly TC was so if that was for him, good tips). I'm fine on momentum even though I've been using mostly minor success/defeat instead of regular success/defeat as that makes more sense in my head for anything but beatdown angles.</p><p> </p><p> However, with a few days away from the forum due to being really busy, I have come up with a theory to explain all of this.</p><p> </p><p> Adam nerfed angle pop gain early on in the Beta. That's a fact. There was a post about it and everything. The problem is that almost every mod and the CV have easily-obtained PPV or Internet and most people play the biggest companies, and we all know that internet has been broken for forever. That's masking the true lack of pop gain from angles because you're getting it that way. What does it matter if your great angle gives you 0 pop gain when a single match on internet gives you 2 pop? </p><p> </p><p> It's only when you're running pre-internet Small and Medium companies on less than Big TV in mods that have TV as your only option that this issue rears its ugly head. That's when you get the one piece of advice I got in my first thread on this topic of "Oh, TV blows. You are way better off running weekly events." That's a massive hole in the game if that's the case. TV has always been the most important thing to pro wrestling since it was mainstreamed in the 1950s. Followed closely by angles because that's what sold tickets. If the combination of those 2 things aren't right, Adam needs to fix them quickly.</p><p> </p><p> That's why I think this issue hasn't been blown open before. There just aren't that many mods right now that fall into this window to see the issue. I just happen to have a few of them and play a few feds in others that are similar setups. It'd be easier if the AI booker wouldn't book angles only involving wrestlers in matches on TV. I think he went way overboard on nerfing angle pop gain, but he would need to balance out pop gain in other ways. Until then, good luck to anyone making a pre-1990s mod (hey Mammoth and Jaysin! and may explain why SoP is the first mod Genadi is doing).</p>
  19. <p>I'd love to know precisely how to get people over via angles on TV. Absolutely no one can tell me other than "Well, I've booked angles and gained pop" with no circumstances or info. I could boot up 2016 and book a 2-hour A TV (and note, I said TV NOT Internet since that seems to still be OP) show and know precisely if someone was going to gain pop. Haven't been able to do that once in any game in 7 different mods despite numerous angle grades and good gimmicks on the wrestlers involved. That's not fun in the slightest, and any game that isn't fun can't be good. It just can't.</p><p> </p><p> And fine, super-realism isn't the right term. Try super-grindy instead. Your top stars are never going to gain pop for months when starting at high-medium with the new caps. Fine, but when your well-known ones can't either in a month via angles, that makes the game an absolute chore. And seeing the patch notes yesterday, he's gone and nerfed 2 more things that make it even more grindy. Again, he's catering to his loud minority that want games grindy as hell where it's only rewarding if you play 2-5 years.</p><p> </p><p> I want to love 2020. Again, I like about 80% of the changes, but boy that 20% that is fast becoming 25% with the unnecessary nerfs makes it nearly impossible.</p>
  20. Sigh...every single time anyone posts on any topic "I'm using a mod." there's only one response, and it's completely unhelpful. So, please stop. There is no mod ever made in the history of TEW that would have any of those results the OP listed. Period. And a mod is just a different database. Some people I swear think there's an entirely different set of code in TEW that kicks in if you're using the CV. If Wrestler A has a Mic skill of 80 and has a promo argument with Wrestler B that has a Mic skill of 90, it doesn't matter whether that's in CV, a completely re-tooled for 2020 mod, or a freshly converted mod from 2016 (barring external factors like drugs). And the OP made a few good points but left out a few as I've been feeling the same way as have a few people I've talked to. The game has reached a point of being a chore. Adam told someone in the tech support forum that developmental growth for wrestlers now takes years. Is that realistic? Absolutely. Exactly how many people actually play 5-year games? 10-year games? 20-year games? I'm talking play, not sim to some point in the future then start, or use auto-booker to book 80-90% of every show. Every game developer has to make a choice when they're programming a game. How much of the game is going to be fun vs how much is going to be super-realism? 2020 has gone super-realism. That's what his core group of supporters wanted. They're tickled pink having to play for years to see a lot of wrestler pop growth. They love the new fed growth limiter. They love skills not improving a hell of a lot over a year. It's what they want in a game. Grind, grind, grind, grind, and grind some more. I could recommend a ton of survival games for these people to play that do the same thing. It's a viable game design choice. However, I'd actually like to see my booking decisions matter. Right now, I can book all I want to short of one wrestler beating another one with higher pop, and I get 0 rewards. Great angles after great angles, and according to the game, they were giant wet farts since nobody gains a single pop from them ever. Anybody that is at 20 pop (the ceiling you get from just winning matches in 2020) is stuck there unless you destroy someone else above them. TV is evidently utterly worthless for wrestlers which is the most ahistorical game decision I've seen in a long time (fed pop gain seems better in 2020 which with the new system is actually counter-productive because you'll cease having Major Stars soon). I just don't have the desire to book a year in the vain hope that any of my booking decisions will pay off or fight the completely obliterated developmental system where you essentially have to run a 2-player game if you have one, which now that developmental gains are severely nerfed why even bother. 2016 is still on my hard drive. It's actually FUN. I actually like about 80% of what Adam did with 2020. I just really miss the feeling of enjoyment from booting it up and knowing that if I had fun, I'd actually gain in the game too. I really do hope with every patch that things will be shifted more towards fun, but that light is dimming. It's just the decision Adam made with 2020, and you can't get upset with that. You just chalk it up to "This game series isn't for me anymore." and hope it is an aberration. After all, I've only missed 1 version of the game since EWR. It's by far the game I've played the most over nearly 2 decades.
  21. All but my Menace angles have been 6 minutes, and I think I had one Fighting brawl go 8. Almost all of my angles are either those 2 or Entertainment. I just don't understand when everyone else has success, and I've tried several mods with 0 results (including the CV1977). I guess I'll just have to power through it and likely just invent people to hire and job the hell out of to people I want to jump their pop like was suggested by thadian though I really hate cheating like that, but angles should be gaining me pop and aren't so... Though are they marked as minor success, success, or major success? I've always done minor success unless it was a beatdown because how much success can you truly have in an argument? Maybe that's my problem/game bug? I may try that to see. I thought that only affected momentum, not pop as they didn't in 2016.
  22. <p>First, these are all mods as I've given up on the CV after the 2010 or 2013 debacle when my TCW game was forcibly ended because there were only 6 wrestlers on the planet that could main event an A TV show at International (yay for severely nerfing the psych penalty!!!). Second, it shouldn't matter whether they're mods or not as booking angles for a wrestler is just data.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="bigtplaystew" data-cite="bigtplaystew" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="50930" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I think there's almost "levels" of popularity for each worker. If they have very little they gain popularity very easily. Promos definitely gain pop for a worker if they have little or none. So do losses. But they get to a point where they eventually have to beat wrestlers with more popularity than them to gain more popularity. <p> </p><p> There's ways around it like booking monsters in squash matches and what not but this is the long and short of it. A worker won't just be able to cut promos and get to main event level popularity on that alone in TEW2020. At least not in my experience.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm talking about people that are squarely in the midcard that I'm trying to push. I can get the lowest level people up to 19 on my B show which is on an even smaller network than my Medium-level ones, but that's with matches. I can understand those wrestlers needing to beat some people sometime to get a boost, but you should be able to put them in angles too. But these midcard guys are cutting 70's promos for weeks and gaining nothing. Then, I book them in a dominant squash match and gain a point or never gain anything. They can't be capped because then I run a match at the monthly event, and they gain a point even losing when it's not on TV or PPV. Maybe just TV is utterly worthless?</p><p> </p><p> I really would like to know if I'm doing something wrong because I like 95% of the changes to 2020, but consistently booking stuff with no results isn't any fun.</p>
  23. I've dreaded asking this question for a week and a half, but I'm to the point where it's thoroughly killing my interest in the game to the point I'd rather watch 3-hour gameplay videos for other games on YT instead of playing the game that I should be deep-diving into every chance I get like I have with every other game in this series dating back to the original. This is also not a "OMG, I want a return to 2016's 10-minute menace angles and other ridiculous exploits." post as I never used those. I'm fine with the new angle system other than Sex Appeal is utterly worthless (that's a game issue) and Overness can't be used for off-screen people so the one staple wrestling angle of "I'm coming to get you." "You're a terrible person for what you did." etc so they have to be Mic/Ent and NR instead of Overness so they can be 6 minutes which I find silly. This is a "Hey, I've run 4 weeks of Medium or better TV with a person in angles that are 20 points above his pop, and I've got absolutely nothing to show for it." post. If the game is simply a nearly-completely closed system meaning for every star you want to make you have to feed 2 or more well-known or stars to him/her, that's...well, that's a system. The Rock would love to have a word with you as would a lot of others that became huge because of their mic work. And these are with different versions of the game and different mods with different people being pushed with all of them being nowhere near the fed's pop cap (that's the only pop cap that would apply as they're nowhere near their worker pop cap) so they have real room to grow. I fully understand why a Major Star in a Medium or Small fed aren't gaining pop as they won't in 2020. So, am I just having massive bad luck? Is it a closed-system so I just have to accept that some of my top stars and major stars that I'd be pushing are going to have to be jobbed down to the midcard just so the guys I have to be pushing (due to age, SQ, whole package, etc) up the card can get there? Why in the world does a squash match on TV give a pop gain of 1 when 3-4 great angles give nothing? What am I missing as clearly I'm the only one having this issue as multiple topics have said that angles are a way to push people up the card? Is it a requirement for every mod to have about 30-40 people across the country that you can just hire and job out their remaining pop since again, angles are worthless?
  24. We just got the tag title matches out of the way since none of that is going according to plan. Since we had the steel cage anyway, we just added that to the World Tag Titles too. It worked better than I thought it would, but we're running into the big problem of no one gaining pop and all the top faces in other feuds. Or they're old and the thought of putting them in a match with rough workers is terrifying. The big 8-man tag likely would have been a standard No-DQ match if this had been run under the patch that lessened the weapons penalty as 8 men in a cage makes little sense so kinda view it that way or like a Hell in a Cell setup where there's an outside. Dundee took a stunt bump where DiBiase pulled out his black glove and hit him with it on the rebound from the cage, which the old veteran sold like a million bucks. The Hacksaws carried Bill out of the cage to the back after the match while Lawler turned redder than red paint which led to the angle later in the night where he swore vengeance on Ted, and if he had to put up the Southern Heavyweight Title to get him 1-on-1, he'd do it in a heartbeat. We brought Bobo Brazil and his son in to job out through our deal with WWA for not a lot. It helped boost Mando up a ton and Landell some in GL. Anything to build some of these people out of perpetual jobberville. If anyone has any tips on how to build pop for people, please share. The show helped some people out a lot and others a little, but that's a once-a-month thing. The Hennig vs Bockwinkel/Gilbert match was the typical cheating heels stuff. When Curt got the hot tag and started going to town, Eddie tried to use the brass knuckles, but the ref saw it this time resulting in the DQ to continue the feud. More cheating, this time uncaught, gave Combs the victory in the #1 contenders match as she put her feet on the ropes to get the win. The best match of the night wasn't a surprise. It was an active affair with both valets getting involved at various times in the match, but we made sure everyone got to showcase their wrestling ability since they have a bunch. The end came when Precious interfered by tripping Backlund causing Sarge to hop down and get into a war of words with Garvin which let Savage come off with the gorgeous flying elbow to get the win. Both faces were kept strong and it still got a 71. And Savage jumped like 8 points in GL! which is really all that matters. The main event was a much more straightforward affair. Obviously, Hart got involved at times, but this was more of the stronger heel trying to overpower the face. Superstar finally missed a splash attempt which gave Martel the momentum to win the match. Larry Z came out to close the show saying he's getting the title next month as his ducking of the Living Legend ends then. All in all, it worked pretty well, and it put us back in the black for a few days or week.
