  1. Yippee!!! I'd tried your suggestion, and it had varying effects for some reason. I've got a good roll on a bunch of people in the converted version I'd set up so it'll be a while before I look into this. Probably will download the new pics though. Thanks so much for the mod. It's goofy goodness (celebrity version). I am wondering though if you'd ever tinkered with the thought of giving the celebs TV star or movie star and rock star for the pop stars? Would everyone leave so you'd have to scramble to add people to fill out the roster? I'd be afraid the pop boosts would become too crazy, but it might be a harder version of that mod. Plus, it might do wonders for ECW.

This is 2016, and the AI ditched anyone that would be on the time decline list, which should be him.</p>
  3. Sadly, you can't do that kind of edit in-game. I was wanting to do that in another database and found I couldn't, so if I missed something, let me know. You have to do it in the main editor before starting a game.
  4. Two things with CPW as I booted up and ran a show with them. 1)The Japanese woman that had the bad injury, then joined CPW as she's friends with Melissa has 0 stats other than a 50 in reputation. Meaning she's unusable and unfireable since it'll tick off your top heel woman. 2) Piers Holt has 20 experience so he can only road agent about 3 segments before tanking everything (and as I posted in the tech forum that seems to be locked in place once you get that warning). Oh, and 5% revenue is just too low for anyone. You make nearly nothing off of TV as it is in 2020 but cutting it from 20% or even the default 10% really hurts. So, so, so happy that this mod has returned. I get to try and bankrupt both SWF and CWF with some of the people on just Written deals as their counters are ridiculous.

We’ll fight. Lord knows you don’t want to wrestle us because you’re not in our league. What is a little shocking is that you, Nick, have decided to make him your pet project, but I guess when you can’t go anymore, you teach. 6. <p>I haven't looked at your 1.1 update, but did you go through and edit all the cable companies to cable instead of terrestrial? That was the main thing of me importing them since the converter auto-dumps every non-PPV, non-free-to-air into terrestrial commercial. If not, I'll just do the US and Canadian companies and go on.</p><p> </p><p> And 2009 was a terrible time for WWE Women's "Wrestling" so the best actresses and singers in the world being trained to do stunts and basic wrestling should pass them.<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Even with the only good women they had in their first good era sticking around long after Vince got rid of almost all of them so he could hire from Victoria Secret.</p>
  7. Yeah, it ended up with only 60 that didn't have pics assigned that took me very little time to reassign except for a few new? refs. I will say thank you so much for porting this over to 2020, but I'm quite sad that you nerfed WCW hard. It was just a fun, goofy mod that I could fire up with a roster full of talented people in the days of "everyone should be awful so the game is a grind" in 2016 modding. Is it fitting? Yes. Is it your mod to do with whatever you like? Hell yes. Am I going to copy the Broadcasters file into my conversion I'd already done to your 2016 version to save me from having to fix all the cable channels so I can play that instead? Absolutely. Are there a few products I could fire up with them to utilize them pretty well? Likely, though it's going to be slightly boring as they'll only be Entertainment segments with a few short SQ. Will I eventually download your non-celebrity version and enjoy the hell out of that? Yep. So again, thanks so much.
  8. As someone who loved your 2007 version for TEW16, I'm psyched for this. Question, if I've already put the 2016 picpack into the 2020 picture directory, do I need to download the new one? It's massive and looks to be the same size as what I have so it'd be great if I don't.
  9. Ugh...the whole you can't get the intent of the comment through on the internet because how you say something is way more than what it appears on the board. I was just asking why all the TV deals were structured that way. If it was "I've tested this a lot and everyone goes broke because the game needs serious help for any smaller feds." I'd just wish you'd be more vocal so Adam could fix the game. That's all. If it was for some other reason, fine. I'm thrilled that you've picked up the mod from iDOL. It was one of my 2 favorite mods from 2013. The stats are really good, and I didn't see anything glaring to mention other than the TV deals. That's a great thing in these early days of mods converting over from 2016 to 2020. It's just shocking that small feds need that big of a weekly bailout considering they're paying $20-50 plus travel whereas with 2013 you could understand as they were getting $200-400 or more. I'm doubtful original MLW ever had a bankroll the size of what they would have lost after one TV show if not for the payout.
  10. Okay, exactly what is the logic behind the smaller companies getting rather ridiculous TV deals? Yes, it'll keep companies like MLW alive (with their $100k/week payment from Sunshine Network for Underground), but if a small company can't make it without those deals while paying people $20-50 & travel per appearance, isn't that a major problem with the game itself? In 2013 (Since it didn't get posted here until very late in the cycle of the game, I never played it in 2016), almost all of those companies closed within a year or so, so it's not like they were doing well in TEW before the TV attendance nerfing. It made it a great Road to Glory mod if you didn't want to play WWE or TNA with all that free pop you could get. Right now, those TV deals just break any immersion I can get into the game. I mean TNA drawing 450 for their weekly PPV (because it's set to TV, I guess to have a lower show target) is just insane. I just don't know. I'm quite frustrated with the game right now, and this is adding to it because small companies should be able to make it on their own, which doesn't look to be the case. You need to get to 65 pop to have any company work at which point finances become ludicrous. I know you're doing your best, and the mod looks really good. Just not sure the game is in a state to showcase it.
  11. That's a TEW thing. It's in the handbook. Basically, it's really, really important for any mod maker to make sure their network requirements aren't too bad and bookers are pretty good because that penalty is uber-harsh.
  12. Since we didn't mention this, this is a direct conversion of Matt Shannon's 2016 mod that both of us painstakingly went through and edited to get it to work in 2020. Best wishes to Jaysin's conversion of this mod and everyone else converting mods from 2016 to 2020. It's a lot of work, and I'm sure we've probably missed a lot. Plus, we didn't really touch anything outside of the US. The crowd erupts as a returning Bill Dundee rushes down but Kamala is twice his size. Enter The Hacksaws, Jim Duggan and Butch Reed to finally open the door and stop the beatdown. All 4 of them are with Lance. Jerry does most of the talking. “Akbar! When you come for the King, you better not miss! Yeah, I may look a little messed up, but I’m still standing. Lance throws it to break as the back empties to end it. 55 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Banners/AWA%20Banner.jpg> Matilda the Hun w/Skandor Akbar vs Sue Green <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Matilda%20the%20Hun.jpg> vs <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Susan%20Green.jpg> Two of the new hires here in the women’s division hit the ring as the fans hit the restroom. Typical monster squash as we try to build a division with a bunch of nobodies. 27 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Banners/AWA%20Banner.jpg> Eddie Gilbert vs Larry Hennig <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Eddie%20Gilbert.jpg> vs <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Larry%20Hennig%2085.jpg> The first actual match of the show was a past vs future match. The Ax kept fending off the much younger Gilbert for 10 minutes, and you could see the frustration building. Finally, as the veteran started tiring, Gilbert struck with some brass knuckles to pick up the tainted victory. 57 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Curt%20Hennig%2085.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Nick%20Bockwinkel%201.jpg> That result brought Larry’s son, Curt, out from the back yelling at the ref about the brass knuckles. It also gave Eddie time to hide them so the ref’s check found nothing. Nick Bockwinkel came out with a mic saying, “It’s clear that the entire Hennig family are nothing but whiners. That Gilbert kid is a hell of a wrestler, and that scares you Curt because you’re going to be a loser like your old man.” Curt rips the mic out of his hand. “It’s fitting that you’d side with a cheater since you haven’t beaten anyone clean in years, and when that didn’t work anymore, you lost your title. Mr. Has-Been. You won’t even fight me in the ring.” Nick says he’ll see him next week as he’s leaving. 71 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Banners/AWA%20Banner.jpg> The Masked Superstar vs Tom Zenk <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/The%20Masked%20Superstar.jpg> w/<img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Jimmy%20Hart%2085.jpg> vs <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Tom%20Zenk%2085.JPG> The squashes return as the main emphasis of this match was on Jimmy Hart and his challenge to Rick Martel for an AWA World Title shot. 59 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Banners/AWA%20Banner.jpg> Rock n Roll Express© vs Adrian Street w/Miss Linda & Chris Markoff AWA Southern Tag Titles Match <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Belts/AWA%20Southern%20Tag%20Team.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Ricky%20Morton%2085.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Robert%20Gibson%2085.jpg> vs <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Adrian%20Street.jpg>w/<img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Miss%20Linda.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Chris%20Markoff%2085.jpg> This was an actual match but one with the winners not in a tremendous amount of doubt. Mainly to focus on the debuting (to the AWA fans) of the Rock n Roll Express and the Southern Tag titles which they’d won Monday night against The Nightmares. That factored into the finish as the 2 men who challenged them after that win, Rose & Somers, attacked them during the big comeback causing the DQ. 64 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Banners/AWA%20Banner.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Rick%20Martel%2085.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Larry%20Zbyszko%205.jpg> “We welcome the AWA World Champion to the interview area. Nice to meet you, Rick. Seems like you’ve got quite the target on your back with that title around your waist.” “I sure do Lance what with all the new faces around here. What’s up with that little man running around saying Superstar deserves a title shot?” “I’ve dealt with him for nearly a decade and can’t answer that, Rick. Best of luck with that. And that’s not the only problem you’ve got. Hello Larry, this is the champ’s time.” “Yeah, and that’s why I’m out here because this poser isn’t worthy of being the champion. The Living Legend is the only one worthy of that title here, and I’m not going to be put in a line to get a shot no matter how much Verne and everybody else wants to protect you, Martel. Your time as champ is up as soon as I get my shot.” “I’ve held this title since May beating all comers, and whoever gets a shot at this better know they’re in for a fight because I’m holding on to this for a long time.” 73 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Banners/AWA%20Banner.jpg> Road Warriors© w/Paul Ellering vs The High Flyers AWA World Title Match <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/Belts/awatag.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Road%20Warrior%20Animal%2085.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Road%20Warrior%20Hawk%2085.jpg> w/<img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Paul%20Ellering%2087.jpg> vs <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Greg%20Gagne%2085.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Jim%20Brunzell%2085.jpg> The main event was a tag title match everyone in the AWA was familiar with as these 2 teams had fought each other before, and it was the familiar Road Warriors match. Strength, brute force, and brutality with the hapless faces trying to mount some offense through speed and teamwork. That made it a somewhat equal match, but eventually, the Flyers couldn’t take any more. Ellering ordered some more though as the crowd started to boo. Mercifully, after a few more powerslams, they pinned Greg for the win. 71 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Stan%20Lane%20Fab%20One.jpg> <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/People/Steve%20Keirn%20Fab%20One.jpg> When it appeared they were going to continue the beatdown, The Fabulous Ones appeared on the ramp yelling at them to which Hawk and Animal just smirked and turned their backs. It wasn’t until they got close to the ring that Paul yelling “Chairs!!!” that they hurriedly bailed leaving The Fabs to check on the beaten High Flyers. 60 <img src=https://1985.ontew.com/img/TV/AWA%20All%20Star%20Wrestling.jpg> B-Show taped before Championship Wrestling Airing Saturdays Verne, Jarrett, and Watts welcome everyone to the new AWA Sherri Martel def Tracy Williams Lance Interview with Savage w/Liz About Attack on Sarge Terry Taylor def Iron Mike Sharpe Debbie Combs def Madusa Miceli Devastation Inc Promo Warning Anyone Who Helps Lawler Will Get Hurt Ted DiBiase & Dr. Death def Lanny Poffo & Tony Anthony Jerry Blackwell def Sheik Adnan Monday Night @Mid-South Coliseum Lawler Welcomes AWA Champ Martel to Memphis Randy Savage def Buck Zumhofe Sarge Declares Savage’s Showboating Not AWA-Like Candi Devine def Kat LeRoux to retain Women’s Title Candi & Combs Argue RnR Express def The Nightmares to become NEW AWA Southern Tag Champs Buddy Rose & Doug Somers Come Out And Insult RnR saying titles will be theirs soon Road Warriors def The Lightning Express Larry Z & Backlund Argue About World Title Worthiness Rick Martel def Adrian Street to retain AWA World Title The First Family attack and layout Martel Nick Bockwinkel Taunts Lawler before title match Jerry Lawler def Nick Bockwinkel in Steel Cage Match to retain AWA Southern Hvy Title Devastation Inc Attacks Lawler; Dundee & The Hacksaws Rescue
  13. The only thing I would suggest is to open TEW16 with this mod (meaning the 2016 version of the mod) and look at the sliders. Anyone that had pessimism (I think Grizzled Veteran pre-set it that way which is part of the problem) as their highest negative slider imported as Gloomy no matter what their other sliders were. That would help some. Won't fill in all the gaps but every little bit helps.
  14. Check what products they're running after the conversion. A lot of much pop feds are getting slid into Classic Sports Entertainment or something that is much more of an Equal fed. That will boost some people, really anyone that was a good wrestler. The booker skills won't affect match ratings. It just determines how smart they book people, but a Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart in 1996 or 97 is still going to rate X. Developmental is utter garbage in 2020. There aren't trainers anymore per se. There are other posts on here on how to do it so you can read theirs which will be better than anything I can say. Experience for non-wrestlers need to be high for road agents and over 20 for wrestlers so they don't get dinged for lack of experience if they shouldn't be legit getting dinged for lack of experience (rookies). I kind of judge it as how long have they been in the wrestling business. Managers that have been in the business for at least 3 years should have pretty good experience stats and grow from there. They're the group that the converter didn't do a good job plugging numbers in.
  15. If you just uninstalled the game, the license is still installed on your computer. Just re-download the full version of the game, and it should be good to go (minus whatever your issue was before unless re-installing fixes it like you're hoping). If you specifically unlicensed the game then did the uninstall (using the -unlicense tag with the TEW2020.exe as per the "How to unlicense the game" section in tech support), remember that email you got? Or the receipt that went into your TEW2020 folder that should be there? That has your code. It's the VT- whatever. Re-download the full game and run it. It'll ask for your license code and enter that. I'm betting you just uninstalled it though. Hopefully the re-install fixes everything for you.
  16. The booking committee was meeting in Memphis on New Year's Eve to discuss their cobbled together rosters. They'd shared a lot of wrestlers over the years but usually only with 2 of the 3 of them so there were a lot of gaps in knowledge. Jerry Jarrett had been working nearly non-stop picking both of their brains along with Lawler and Bill Dundee with Lawler also chatting up Bockwinkel. Jarrett had reached some conclusions that he was sure wasn't going to make either Gagne very happy. The cupboard wasn't as full as he'd like for a company getting ready to make a nationwide debut on ESPN in just a few days. They had just 1 Major Star (Sarge) on the roster, and he didn't have the World Title or Tag title. The World champ, while the #1 person on his personal Next Big Thing also topped out at "Probably not going to single-handedly sell out arenas or draw millions of dollars". The top heel was 50. We were going to have to come up with plans to make stars and make them quick. Bill Watts still wasn't exactly thrilled that none of the Mid-South titles were getting combined in this new AWA, but it did make sense that Jerry's titles were already named AWA. His simple request was that some of his guys get pushed to the top. Considering they were some of the most talented guys in the company, that wasn't too hard to guarantee. Verne really didn't like the news about Martel. He wasn't as sold on Sarge as the world was since he'd been in their 2 biggest competitors in the last few years, which Jerry viewed as a fair point. The world title wasn't going to end up there anyway if things went the way it needed to go. Verne also wasn't thrilled when told that The High Flyers weren't going to be in the mix for either of the tag titles. Greg and Brunzell were solid wrestlers, but neither really had the star power needed. They'd get used down the line as serious challengers but not now. Jerry shared his lists with them which were good but not great news. No future superstars, but the lists were full. (which almost never happens for me in TEW) Next Big Things 1. Rick Martel 2. Debbie Combs 3. Eddie Gilbert 4. Dr. Death Steve Williams 5. Brad Armstrong Hot Prospects 1. Curt Hennig 2. Debbie Combs 3. Rick Martel 4. Ricky Morton 5. Eddie Gilbert Here were the storylines they settled on for the next few months. World Title--Rick Martel vs The First Family, mainly The Masked Superstar, also Larry Z. Basically, we're placeholding here with the AWA stars adding Jimmy Hart to the mix to spice things up. Southern Heavyweight Title--Jerry Lawler & Friends vs Devastation Inc. Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee have been everything to each other in Memphis for nearly a decade. They're going to need some help from some Mid-South stars to fight off the talent of Akbar's group loaded with DiBiase, Dr. Death, and Kamala. They'll need some Hacksaws. Basically almost all the top stars from outside the AWA are here. Crowning the future--Randy Savage needs to seize the day and become the mega star the AWA needs. The best first step??? Take down the biggest star in the company. A former drill instructor vs The Macho Madness should be electric. We're also adding Jimmy Garvin w/Precious aligned with Savage and Howdy Doody errr...Bob Backlund with Sarge. If we can't get the fans to side with the hip duo of Savage and Garvin with 2 of the most beautiful women at their sides against those 2, we're doomed. World Tag Titles--This was meant to be the RnR Express vs Road Warriors. Everything was set up, and then, Watts informed everyone that the Express weren't doing it (and never did it in real life). So, back to the status quo of continuing their feud with The Fabulous Ones. Hopefully, we could keep it fresh and no one gets hurt or screwjobbed out of the company. Southern Tag Titles--So, the Express' reward for not fighting the Road Warriors was to fight the newly brought in team of Buddy Rose & Doug Somers over the 2nd tag titles. Their work in Portland had been good, and the Express can make anyone look dastardly. I mean look at Cornette. The Future & The Past Combine--Larry The Ax Hennig and Nick Bockwinkel are the AWA having been there with Verne since dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Unlike Larry though, Nick didn't have a son that looked to be 10x better than the father. Enter Eddie Gilbert. A brash, arrogant, good talker with excellent skills in the ring sounded to Nick like himself when everything was in black-and-white. So, we put this 4-some together to launch the TV title. Both kids have good mic skills and the look that TV viewers will love. Women's Title--This one was kind of dependent on who we could sign. Obviously, Debbie and Sherri Martel were going to solidify the heel side, but there were a few women out there to join Candi. Had to see who we could keep away from the WWF as they were also targeting every woman they could find.
  17. Part of this is a leftover from 2016 which I never mentioned. When you start a new fed, you have to then go blow a bunch of your money on upping production which just seems weird. You're going to build that infrastructure in so you should have the starting options tied to production levels. Now, with Merchandise levels being added to the game, you're starting at Level 1 even if you pick one of the easiest 2 levels. That makes no sense either and takes way too long to boost to where they should be, unlike production levels which are instant. If you want to take a bit of the starting money away to compensate, I'd be fine with that, but they need some starter level, especially on Merch. You don't just throw out a sizeable company into the void without any infrastructure. Look at what AEW did on the merch side.
  18. After downloading this and just attempting to recreate my Sex Appeal fed from the 2013 version of this awesome mod (don't try btw as that product is utter garbage), I noticed a few things in the broadcasts, which you mentioned you had just edited due to the PPV smackdown Adam gave them in the 1.02 patch. There are a few typos in the number of regions pop needs to be. They're 30 when I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be 3. HDNet is one of them. Scifi is another. Likely just didn't get the 0 deleted. Also, The WB should be a terrestrial commercial, not cable. It's what merged with UPN to become The CW. Should be much smaller than the Big 4 US networks as they don't get anything near the ratings they get or ever did. I'm not sure it's worth fiddling with, but it's an issue with the new pop system. Some of the old Regional-fed networks (all of those that were set to 40 pop) got bumped to Medium-sized feds. Makes starting a new fed at the 2nd easiest difficulty (where you get that 40 country-wide pop) a little harder as there are fewer networks available than there used to be. It's not a huge deal, but it does look weird to see a network that requires 3 regions at 40 pop but Medium size.

  20. The problem is that everyone is going to be swimming in cash, even with the overly-nerfed PPV buyrates in the 1.02, so you'd end up right back to before the patch with everyone gobbling the entire world up.
  21. Are you seeing any images on the forum? There's a box you need ticked in your settings on the forum to see images. Saw that when people were saying they had to be guest to see images.
  22. The problem with having Tony as Owner and Booker is that at times the AI will sign someone as Booker. Also, I imagine he's given Cody a good booking skill so AEW is booked correctly if you're playing as someone else while Tony's skill would be unknown so unless set high could have disastrous effects, same as a random person getting the book. As for Road Agent salaries, as noted, they're high now. I just turn off a bunch of people being road agents. Setting Christopher Daniels and Dustin as Future Road Agents and turning off Jake Roberts, who hasn't agented in his life, saves a ton of money.

  24. This could become incredibly interesting with the pop changes in 2020. Only 2 feds started at Cult in 2016, and now, if I'm remembering correctly, there could be a hell of a lot at Medium. That means written contracts so it'll be interesting to see how the feds work. Some in the 1985 mod I've been fiddling with go back to handshakes on renewals (starting everyone with random length writtens) while others are all out written deals, problematically Japan. It'll definitely be interesting.
  25. I've posted a couple of times that the lack of that there and being able to view the roster when making a tournament are 2 of the oddest decisions made in 2020. The only way to get to it is to click on pre-booking, so you have to exit the show (great that you can do that now) and go to pre-booking to pull up a screen where you have access to the notepad. I used my notepad almost exclusively to keep track of who couldn't go all out so I was editing it constantly during the show. Why it's the handbook there instead of the notepad, I have no idea.
