Yamato and Endo's striking worked beautifully with the graceful high flying of Ariwara and Chikanatsu, with Mystery Pink and McGee responding in kind for the opposition while J-Ro and Davis held their end of the match together to prevent it from turning into a spotfest without logic, pace and reason. This was the story told in the ring, an exciting clash of styles between the fast, high flying luchadoras and the rough, hard hitting technical joshi team. Estrella Blanca almost cost her team the match when she slipped while trying to ascent to the ring post, but she more than made up for it later on when she hit her Northern Lights Suplex on Takasu to score the pin and finally give the GDR team what they'd been looking for, a win over the trios champions for a chance to reclaim the gold and bring it back home to Mexico.</p><p> <strong>Winners: Águila Azul Celeste, Estrella Blanca & Pinky Perez</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Northern Lights Suplex</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="7EqFCw6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7EqFCw6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="Vqy378I.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Vqy378I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> WINNOW Rising Champion title match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mSoHzQS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mSoHzQS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="l9oAwcE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/l9oAwcE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "The Dragon's Daughter" Ginko Kuroda © vs "The Pain from the Ukraine" Karen Bilous</strong></p><p> Bilous' style is a perfect fit for Japan and this match showcased just that. Her mix of stiff strikes and big technical slams went down in a storm with the audience, who was wowed by her moves but also sumpathized with Kuroda who really took a beating in the ring. The only singles match on the card, it felt like both women were really trying to steal the show from their counterparts in the highly anticipated main event. Even when the champion managed to take her opponent to the mat, she kept the pace fast as she slid between complex and painful-looking submission holds as she chased a tap out, before switching it up and hitting Bilous with the Dragon Suplex with a bridge for the pin.</p><p> <strong>Winner: Ginko Kuroda (Defences: 3)</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Dragon Suplex</strong></p><p> <img alt="7EqFCw6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7EqFCw6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="mSoHzQS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mSoHzQS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Kuroda took the time to celebrate her win in the ring, providing a much needed breather before the main event.</p><p> <img alt="GegwXV8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GegwXV8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Kt2aza1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Kt2aza1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Kt2aza1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Kt2aza1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> WINNOW Duet titles match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="0zz5IM2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0zz5IM2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yAQaSOo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yAQaSOo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vhgBwyi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vhgBwyi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GtkXUah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GtkXUah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Hostile Intent © vs Hunter-Killers</strong></p><p> The defending champions knew very well what they were in for in this match and proceeded to brutalize their opponents right out the gates as they sought to win this through sheer physical dominance. Fans ate up the brutal gaijin team as they cheered for Assassin and Makiko, who put their natural understanding of each other's style to great use as they frequently teamed up to counterbalance the size and power advantage of both Morris and Young. 6. <p>I've started a ton of saves in the 2+ years I've owned TEW16. Not many survived past the first few in-game months. Of those who did, most were turned into diaries and again, not many of those went on long or well enough, but I do have two saves/companies I'd put out top 10 DVDs for.</p><p> </p><p> First one is Piledriver Wrestling, a dojo that started a promotion with $50.000 to help its graduates get some exposure and experience. It went on to join the COTT, buy out MAW and straight-up kill RIPW month in and month out, now in 2020 and heading towards the annual Sam Keith Classic Tag Team Tournament.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43928" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>1. Frederique Antonio Garcia vs Masked Patriot for the COTT World Heavyweight title at War for Territory #24, December 2019 (Rated C+)</strong></p><p> Piledriver's mission statement is to showcase young talent and its graduates especially. While he did not exactly pass the torch or the title in this match, Garcia brought in a lot of eyeballs to the company thanks to his star power and popularity, which is exactly what a COTT champion is expected to do.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>5. Masked Patriot vs Syd Collier, Piledriver/Mid Atlantic title unification match at MAW The Sam Keith Classic VIII, July 2018 (Rated C)</strong></p><p> After the MAW/Piledriver merger, a match to unify the two promotion's top titles was only a matter of time. This one's set in the '97 CVerse and began as a Road to Glory save, though in time I fell in love with my homegrown promotion and decided to stick with it. Last show I ran/posted was NGW Hard Times, dated July of 2013, so this game's been going on for 16 in-game years. Choosing just 10 matches is no small feat, but here goes:</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43928" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>1. "The Gothic Grappler" Fusae Etsuko vs Geena the Warrior Princess for the NGW Womens title at NGW Terror Rising, July 2013 (Rated B+)</strong><p> Geena was there in the early days of NGW. She was a young lion champion and set to win the top prize, before NOTBPW and CWWF pulled her back to Canada just days before her big title match. Fusae Etsuko cut her teeth in BHOTWG's short-lived sibling joshi promotion, before spending several years without a job until NGW hired her. She has since been undefeated, winning the top championship before weight and gender divisions were introduced. Without flinching, she vacated the title only to win the newly minted Womens title. Round that time, Geena's contract ran out and she chose to return to NGW. Before her on-screen return, Etsuko suffered an injury and had to vacate the title, which Geena won upon her return. By the time Etsuko had healed up, she returned to reclaim the title she was never defeated for. After a DQ and a countout finish, this match finally ended the two women's feud, with Etsuko choking out Geena to win the title back.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>2. The Cream of the Crop (Nelson Frye & Christopher Lister) vs Violent Mood Swings (Adam Matravers & Robert Howard) in a 30 minute Iron Man tag match at NGW Back to the Future, December 2011 (Rated B+)</strong></p><p> Two teams with amazing chemistry and experience in a great match that went down on a random episode of NGW's weekly TV show. Ironically, all four men would later join "Captain Hero" Stig Svensson to form the promotion's iconic babyface stable, the League of Heroes, while after the introduction of weight classes, they would switch partners to equal success as Frye teamed up with Howard and Lister teamed with Matravers.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>3. Tommy Cornell vs Nelson Frye for the NGW Championship at NGW's November show, November 2003 (Rated B+)</strong></p><p> Your eyes do not deceive you, "Rough Justice" Tommy Cornell is indeed an NGW alumni and former champion, with this being the match where he won the gold. Note the date; at the time, Cornell was just a rookie who had flopped in SWF while NGW was a small-time promotion that still hadn't come up with fancy names for its monthly shows.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>4. Violent Mood Swings (Adam Matravers & Robert Howard) vs Fitness Fury (Petter Eriksson & Viper McKenna) in a Ladder match for the NGW Tag Team titles at NGW's October show, October 2007 (Rated B)</strong></p><p> Back when NGW would hold intergender matches, Fitness Fury were its first ever tag team to be heavily featured. This was also where Violent Mood Swings got established as a team, winning the titles in an epic ladder match.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>5. Christopher Lister vs Adam Matravers for the NGW Cruiserweight title at NGW Terror Rising, July 2013 (Rated B)</strong></p><p> Two long time friends and partners going one on one for the title. No hostility, just a clean fought contest between two athletes and competitors, a showcase for NGW's Cruiserweight division.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>6. Champagne Lover vs Edward Cornell vs Wael Hossam for the NGW Heavyweight title at NGW Fallout, February 2013 (Rated B)</strong></p><p> NGW's prime time player, the Mexican ladykiller defeated both Edward Cornell and the Egyptian mat master Wael Hossam in an epic triple threat for the NGW Heavyweight title. As members of the oldschool, ultra serious group "The Real Deal", Cornell and Hossam teamed up a lot and sought to shut down the cocky champion, but Lover found a way to pull out a victory and retain.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>7. Shiro Akuma vs Hardcore Hernandez for the NGW Cruiserweight title at NGW Walk Through Fire, April 2013</strong></p><p> Shiro Akuma (f.k.a. Marihito Masuko) and James "Mainstream/Hardcore" Hernandez really set the bar for what a high flying spectacle of a Cruiserweight match can and should be with this one.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>8. Stig Svensson vs Golden Scorpion for the NGW Championship at NGW's January show, January 2006 </strong></p><p> A classic from the older days of NGW, Stig Svensson defeated the villainous Golden Scorpion in this bout to win the title and establish himself as the promotion's lead heroic babyface.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>9. "The Gothic Grappler" Fusae Etsuko vs Jeri Behr for the NGW Womens title at NGW Battle for Europe, October 2012 (Rated B)</strong></p><p> If Etsuko vs Geena told the story of wild American wrestler versus precise joshi striker, this one told the story of a Swedish high flyer against a Japanese mat magician trying to keep her grounded. It's matches like these that have many fans believe that unlike most promotion's that feature a women's division as a secondary side show, NGW is actually headlined by women who deliver some of the best matches, with the men (at least as an average of all the matches) being a distant second.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>10. Marat Khoklov wins the 20 man Starmageddon match at NGW Starmageddon, June 2013</strong></p><p> Already a multi time NGW Heavyweight champion by this point, Khoklov had been busy with leading his Eastern European themed group and not involved in the main title picture for quite some time. In NGW's gruelling annual Starmageddon match, Marat set his eyes on gold once more, winning the King of the Ring title to punch his ticket for a title match that will headline December's season finale, NGW End of the World.</p></div></blockquote>
  7. I looked at my notes one more time, trying to wrap my head around everything. So many things were happening and with social media being a thing, it wasn't just about making sure there were no booking clashes any more. It was about consistency and keeping the product believable. In her excitement, Sato had gone public about her pregnancy so on top of postponing that match, I had to give her a send-off and aknowledge it on stage. Vinny Cruz getting engaged to Jillian Jarvis was a simpler deal in comparison. Cruz was no active competitor and Jillian only showed up once or twice for our shows when she held the COTT Women's title. Speaking of which, that was taken of Lora and put on Zoe Ammis. I wasn't mad at all, in fact I even voted in favor of it. AAA and QAW were a bit shy about booking title defenses for a belt that was mainly introduced for them, so having the champion around might be enough to give the title some more focus. Zoe was a great wrestler, Lora had hit the top with us and needed to be broken down a bit so she could face new challenges. I hadn't exactly planned for it all, but I wasn't just rolling with the punches either. Wrestling's golden rule, pretend that this was the plan all along, right? *ring ring* The phone only showed a number on the screen, but no name. No one on my contact list. Probably someone who got hold of my number and is looking to get booked, I thought. I had no idea what was coming my way. "Heya Sheik! Just making a round of calls to introduce myself to the rest of the C-O-T-T, thought I'd start with you, being neigbours and all, plus I guess you're at the helm after merging with MAW?" Someone had to be conning me. That never happened. I was the one conning other people. And I had no idea who this voice or number belonged to. "Who is this?" I said in the most neutral tone of voice I could muster. "Right, introduce myself, sorry about that. It's Ed... Ed Monton? I took over New York now that Larry retired." Ed Monton... Yeah I was surprised to hear from him. When Larry announced he'd be leaving the business, everyone thought he'd leave Steve Flash at the helm. Apparently Ed conned him too. "Ed... yeah, uhm... congratulations, I guess. NYCW is in good hands with you." I deliberately made no mention of George Wolfe, the son he'd named after George DeColt. I was praying he'd do the same. "Thanks. I'm pretty excited, to be honest. But I'm gonna need everyone's help to make it, NY was almost broke and I had to put in a hundred grand to keep us afloat. Hope it'll keep us around 'till we start turning in some profit..." Well, there goes my dream of buying them out and expanding towards the East Coast. COTT rules prevented us from running shows in each other's home territory. I'd have to go back to the Rainbow Bar & Grill in Florida to pick up from where I left off after the merger. If NYCW kept putting up inferior shows to those we and RIPW did, maybe Ed would run out of money somewhere down the line and I could go ahead with the merger once more, but for now that had to be postponed. Oh well, at least I'd hit the money goal Lee had set for me. "Sure Ed, let me know if there's anyone from our roster you'd like to have around..." He didn't mention George. I tried to keep it that way and not mention the many people Larry had signed from us or before we could either. Scythe. Lenny Brown. Masked Patriot. Cali Slick. Riley McManus. Spencer Spade. Casey Valentine. Ekuma. Atlas. Ernest Youngman. I wrapped up the conversation and hung up the phone, then picked up my notes once more. War for Territory. How fitting.
  8. Seek and Destroy 2020 Seek and Destroy 2020 Saturday, Week 4 June, 2020 Live from the Centerpiece Bridge, SC Annihilus, Reaper & Xavi Ferrera vs Riley McManus, Quentrel Garner & The Avenger A decent six man opener to kick off the show, this match was servicable in terms of in-ring action but the fans didn't sound all that excited to see The Avenger making his in-ring debut after months of mystery and hype. He did however have some good moments feinting and using his speed to get the better of Annihilus, until Ferrera got the tag to bring the athleticism that matched the Avenger's speed. Freshly crowned tag team champions McManus and Garner also had a couple of double team spots, until Reaper got in the ring to clean house. In the big finale, the Avenger slingshot himself into the ring, got caught mid-air but reversed a powerbomb into a roll up for a near fall, before choking out the big man for the stoppage. Winners: Riley McManus, Quentrel Garner & The Avenger, by stoppage Piledriver United States title match Jebediah © vs "Killer" Carl Bernard Moving on to singles competition and the night's only title match, a classic hoss fight between two time champion Jebediah and the 2019 Golden Graduate Cup winner, Bernard. The rookie challenger put in a great performance to prove he's a competent singles competitor and a man who can do a lot more than just squash small jobbers, punishing Jebediah with vicious physicality. The champion's experience shone through though and he wisely threw his opponent to the ropes again and again, exhausting the Killer and taking advantage of his own athleticism to tire him out and hit the Sundown Splash to retain. Winner: Jebediah, by pinfall Jebediah makes defence number 2 of his Piledriver United States title "Ice Cold" Claire Winters comes down to the ring and cuts a promo about War for Territory #30, calling out Eri Sato. Her former tag team partner comes out to the ring and Winters tells her the two of them aren't done. Tonight, they were supposed to have one last match between them to settle the score, but that'll have to wait and instead she'll be teaming up with "American Woman" Lora Washington in a 3 vs 2 handicap match against Sawyer Sports Services. The reason for that, says Winters as she points to the screen above the entrance ramp... Fans burst into cheers and in a rare kayfabe-breaking moment, Sato cracks a smile and Winters gives her a hug, but we're soon back to normality once the two shake hands and Winters pulls Sato closer, maintaining control of her wrist with one hand while bringing the mic close to her mouth with the other. Winters says she doesn't want to cause any harm to Sato's unborn child, but once she's done with all that and returns to the ring, she'll make sure she gives her plenty of time to spend with her newborn baby... at the hospital! w Lora Washington & Claire Winters vs Sawyer Sports Services (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer) Though, as admitted, this match is a last-minute replacement for Winters vs Sato pt.III, it still features some great talent and an ongoing rivalry that prevent it from becoming a bathroom break. Sawyer Sports Services (or S3, for short) are really coming to their own as a group, with Bitch and Trigg working like a well oiled tag team machine in their brawling ways and Svelte on standby to pick apart any leftovers. This is made even more evident by the fact that Washington and Winters are all over the place with their timing, two individually great competitors but not that effective working together. Between that and the numbers advantage, it's an uphill battle and a predictable finish, with Emma Bitch hitting the Payback on Winters for the pin. Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by pinfall Backstage, Brooke Tyler has some strong words about the Piledriver Women's champion after that performance. Tyler says she pushed Washington to the limit when they wrestled and despite losing, she's been working hard day in and day out for another shot at the title. Meanwhile, what did the "American Woman" do? Lose her COTT Women's title and a series of matches to Sawyer's group. With Sato now on the sidelines, it's high time she's given another chance at gold and this time, she's pretty confident that the outcome will be very, very different... Four Corners Tag Team match Winning team receives a match for the Piledriver Tag Team titles The Mid Atlantic Express vs The Heartbreak Express vs The Good Ol' Boys vs The Boys From The Yukon With McManus & Garner winning the tag team straps, it's time to once again look for a new challenger and this match is it. Collier starts it off with a fun spot, scolding the referee and other three teams, saying this has to be a tag match with rules, not some chaotic hardcore brawl, so everyone involved better make sure it doesn't break down into a free for all. Liotta is all to happy to shut him up with a forearm smash and the match is on, with the two Expresses going back and forth, conjuring memories of Needham and Liotta against Collier and Jones, the Dynamite Express, in MAW. Cruz and Bowen are at ringside, both keeping their teams fresh and away for the action so they can take advantage of the situation (and possibly brutalize each other) later on in the match. This inaction gives the two Expresses enough space to put on a solid match, with Collier and the Architect slowing down the pace thanks to their technical prowess until Needham taps out to The Blueprint. At that point, the Good Ol' Boys hit the ring and clean house, bringing some high impact excitement back into the match. The Boys from the Yukon enter the ring as well while the Mid Atlantic Express is recuperating outside the ring and off to the races we are as Collier's early warning is thrown to the wind and all four big men slug it out with big strikes. The ring shakes with each move and almost breaks down once Whitehorse Whittaker gets hit with the Iowa Harvest; Bowen rushes in for the save but Fitzpaine picks her up and holds her between himself and Howlin' Mad Mort, thus blocking both from interfering as Langton scores the pin, bringing the match down to the Mid Atlantic Express and the Good Ol' Boys. Former champions are a bit too slow to realize that and spend too much time and focus on the Yukon Boys, shoving them out of the ring, taunting them and celebrating their win, only for the Architect to rush from behind and dump Fitzpaine onto Cruz while Collier shoots for Langton's legs from behind, taking him to the mat for the Texas Cloverleaf. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to (also with the Architect outside the ring pulling the bottom rope away from him) Langton struggles, but eventually is forced to tap. Winners: The Mid Atlantic Express, by submission Buck Winchester vs Robbie Wright After defeating The Architect in his Piledriver Wrestling in-ring debut, Robbie Wright is in the main event of Seek and Destroy against a dangerous opponent in Buck Winchester, who's looking to bounce back and stay afloat after his loss to Jebediah at Fatal Force last month, the very same show in which Wright announced that he'd joined the company. It's not exactly the hottest feud (or even a personal feud at all) but both competitors have the moves and charisma to draw fans in, making for an exciting match as Wright uses his energy and athleticism to maintain a fast, cazy pace. No stranger to such a setting, the wild brawler from Texas plays along and the result is a solid match, although by the time it reaches the final sequences both men seemed gassed out and it's a bit anticlimatic, taking something away from the overall experience and Wright's impressive Wright Move [Gutwrench Powerbomb] finisher. Winner: Robbie Wright, by pinfall After the match, Robbie Wright grabs a microphone and openly challenges Cali Slick for the Piledriver Championship. The former GSW star comes out with the belt on his shoulder to respond, saying Wright's earned nothing and he should get in line. Which in turn, brings out... ...both the former title holder, Logan Diaz, who has a legitimate rematch claim due to the way he lost to Slick, as well as Masked Patriot, who's gunning for the title. The four men stare down each other in the ring and it looks like things could explode at any moment... ...which is just what El Masked Sheik and "the Network" won't stand for, as the man fans love to hate comes out screaming on the mic. Showing zero understanding of the situation, Sheik gets in the ring and fans get on their feet as it feels like either or all four wrestlers are an inch away from smacking the loudmouthed network representative... ...but they're all prevented by the company's owner Lee Wright, who comes out just in time for the "save" as he orders his employees to not lay a hand on the Sheik and risk the upcoming TV deal. On his side is the legendary Gorgon, current head trainer at the Piledriver Wrestling School as well as acting Commissioner and Matchmaker for the company. Once Lee Wright has managed to avoid a beatdown, he says he has an announcement to make, a new signing that should also be considered when there's talk about matches for Piledriver Wrestling's top prize and that man is none other than... ...former USPW star and defensive tackle for Kansas and Oklahoma, Julius Moor! Still, it's a hard fought and pretty open contest that goes to the third tie-breaking round, with Boriken Love Machine Jr. barely edging out a win to end Demon King's reign with the Campeónato de Mexico EMLL.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Boriken Love Machine Jr.</strong></p><p><strong> Boriken Love Machine Jr wins the Campeónato del Mexico EMLL title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="vxsmsWk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vxsmsWk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CN2D8Vs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CN2D8Vs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="Yiz66EE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Yiz66EE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Flamenco Fabuloso (1-1) vs Máscara Delfín (1-1) (with Carolina)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Revisiting their "shadowboxing" comedy clash at Killer Instinct two months ago, Flamenco and Delfin deliver another nugget of spectacular silliness, this time engaging in a kung fu-esque contest where each man pulls off moves reminiscent of their 'spirit animal'. This basically means Flamenco Fabuloso does a lot of strutting around with his chest puffed out before cawking out loud, while Delfin's into flips for flips' sake before <em>somehow</em> winning this match with the Delfinisher, because it's a great name and it fits the style of the whole match, right?</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Máscara Delfín</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="m5c1lfe.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/m5c1lfe.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="6RV66V0.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6RV66V0.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Fray Valiente Jr. (1-1) vs Snake King (0-2)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The young luchador's hit a few rough spots since joining the EMLL roster, but true to the heritage and spirit of his mask, keeps on fighting with resolve, grit and determination against his snaky, sneaky, slithery opponent in this match. It's a very straightforward "good vs evil" story told, with the confident former champion toying with his opponent for most of the match. Valiente has his moments and makes a bit of a comeback but Snake King is quick to shut him down and get the job done before finishing Valiente off with a Snake-Bite.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Snake King</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="utTMmtw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/utTMmtw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="lpm1WCl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lpm1WCl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> DeCipher (1-1) vs Guerrero Muerto (1-1)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> An interesting change of pace from the previous matches, this one's a clash of minds as much as bodies, a technical grapple contest that plays out a lot like a chess match with hold and counterhold back and forth. Wade and Snow kept that theme going throughout the match, talking down their opponents in English and gesturing at the Japanese audience to earn themselves some real heat. In return, Morris got cheered for mauling both members of the A-List, who would call for timeouts and roll out of the ring to avoid her and disrupt the flow of the match. Once Deborah Young gave chase at ringside though, the champions were forced to do some actual wrestling and they delivered some great action, proving they aren't holding those belts by accident. Though Wade was a bit sloppy in a few spots, she has the skill to roll with the punches and her long experience teaming with Snow helped her hide those shortcomings. Morris had a big spot when she hit the Missouri Plough on Snow, who found a creative way out of a pinning predicament when she spat at the face of Morris from close range to force a break and have fans hate her even more. By the time "Dangerous" Deborah Young got the tag, the crowd was roaring in anticipation of seeing the local champions take down the disrespectful A-List, but that overexcitement caused Young to be lured into a beautiful sequence of an enzuguiri into a neckbreaker/drop toe hold combination finished off with a rear naked choke that put her out.</p><p> <strong>Winners: The A-List (Defenses: 1)</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Rear Naked Choke [stoppage]</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="7EqFCw6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7EqFCw6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mSoHzQS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mSoHzQS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8sEkkAa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8sEkkAa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="l9oAwcE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/l9oAwcE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Meqzwhu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Meqzwhu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Ginko Kuroda & Eri Sato vs Karen Bilous & Thea Davis</strong></p><p> A standard "Japanese vs Gaijin" tag matchup, this one allowed all four participants to showcase their skills and entertain the audience in a hotly contested bout. Davis really used her height and long reach to keep the hard hitting Sato at bay, controlling most of the early part of the match until Kuroda got the tag and relentlessly sought to take the Englishwoman to the mat. Davis didn't make it easy for her and as soon as she had the opportunity, tagged in Bilous who took the match into MMA territory as she mounted Kuroda for a close-range hail of strikes. Kuroda got herself out of a tight spot when she managed to grab one of her opponent's arms and roll into an armbar, before releasing to tag Sato back in. From there it was a strong style striking contest between the two hard hitters that took a heavy toll on both women, leading to a stalemate when they both hit running lariats. Crawling to their corners, Sato was first and Kuroda rushed to pull Bilous away before she could make the tag. The WINNOW Rising Champion got a bit too confident though and went for the Dragon Suplex early; Bilous had it scouted and made the switch, digging deep down inside to finde the courage to lift Kuroda off the ground and into the Butterfly Lift-Lock to get the pin as well as the right to challenge her one on one for her title.</p><p> <strong>Winners: Karen Bilous & Thea Davis</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Butterfly Lift-Lock</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="7EqFCw6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7EqFCw6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="vhgBwyi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vhgBwyi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GtkXUah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GtkXUah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="HoQz6hP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HoQz6hP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GtoYkcW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GtoYkcW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Hunter-Killers (Dragon Assassin & Huntress Makiko) vs Mexican Pink (Mystery Pink & Pinky Perez)</strong></p><p> WINNOW's freshly formed and highly dangerous veteran pairing of Dragon Assassing and Huntress Makiko was up next, fighting against the high flying luchadoras of GDR in Mystery Pink and Pinky Perez. The entire match was built on the clash of styles between these two teams, with Mexican Pink pulling out all the stops for some high flying action while their opponents sought to ground them, either with Assassin's deadly martial arts strikes or Makiko's technical excellence. The chemistry between the two veterans was undeniable and they looked like they've spent their entire careers next to each other, though Assassin almost cost them the match with an overly ambitious headkick counter she botched trying to hit Perez as the latter was coming off the top rope with a splash. She did however make up for it, as Mystery Pink had her isolated on the corner and came from all angles with high velocity attacks, only for Assassing to make one last desperate push and throw Mystery Pink off balance as she was climbing the ring post before exploding out of the corner with a Lariat that almost took the head of the shoulders of Pinky Perez.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Hunter-Killers</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Lariat</strong></p><p> <img alt="vPM9lw6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vPM9lw6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="vhgBwyi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vhgBwyi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GtkXUah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GtkXUah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> After the match, Makiko and Assassin got on the mic to call out Hostile Intent, saying they're not worthy of carrying the Duet titles and representing WINNOW, a hint at the team's loss to the A-List in the opening match. The duo then repeated their challenge, saying they are out to take the gold from the two gaijin, before dropping the microphones and making their way back to the locker room.</p><p> <img alt="gUMXSOo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gUMXSOo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Triple Threat match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="zPaHPzb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zPaHPzb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="qIYQtpx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qIYQtpx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="RCvIapy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RCvIapy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Chitose Ariwara vs Estrella Blanca vs Rei Chikanatsu</strong></p><p> Estrella Blanca is arguably one of the best luchadoras not just in GDR, but all of Mexico and this match showed the Japanese fans just that. Her first match in WINNOW without teaming with anyone else, Blanca was able to let loose against two of the finest high flyers on the roster, the result being a spectacular three way match. Every competitor gave 100% of herself in that ring and Blanca even threw in a comedy spot when she had both Ariwara and Chikanatsu on the mat and couldn't decide which one to pin, the announcers pointing out the fact that things are simpler in Mexico with only one singles, tag and trios belt, so Blanca couldn't decide whether the Grand Champion or Pure Heart title is more important to go after. This doubt may have cost her the match as it gave her opponents time to recover and once back on her feet, Ariwara caught her with a surprise Sunset Flip to score the pin and win the match.</p><p> <strong>Winner: Chitose Ariwara</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Sunset Flip</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="8x5Bau7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8x5Bau7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><span>http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n230/jhall2129/TEW%202013%20Title%20belts/GenericWomens.jpg</span></p><p><strong> Four Way Elimination match for the World Women's Alliance title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="G79LIV1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/G79LIV1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NVsHmIw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NVsHmIw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Xc4Zgz2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Xc4Zgz2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rP9LuoR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rP9LuoR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Juana Huracán © (QAW) vs. Joanne Rodriguez (AAA) vs. Águila Azul Celeste (GDR) vs. Romi Yamato (WINNOW)</strong></p><p> This was the opposite of the match that preceded it: a slow paced contest between four wrestlers unfamiliar with each other, leading to a lot of feeling out in the early part and some pretty cautious tactics from all sides. Every woman had a stake in this match and a lot of it went beyond the WWA Championship title. Huracán was also representing QAW and trying to lay the foundations of a global career for herself. Rodriguez was trying to balance out working for both WINNOW and AAA while living up to the standard Japanese fans had for her from her tours with 5SSW. Aguila was the last GDR representative and hoping to score a win for her side in a night of losses. As for Yamato, fresh out of being regarded as a young lion, she had a point to prove and kicking off her 'proper' career with a great performance and even a title win would be huge.</p><p> </p><p> Rodriguez and Yamato got the better part of the opening 7 or so minutes as the luchadoras had little room to move around and pull off their big moves. Huracán had a bright moment when she hit Yamato with a tornado DDT, only for Rodriguez to kick her out of the ring and Aguila to follow with an over the top rope suicide dive to the outside. With the luchadoras out, Rodriguez and Yamato had some space to wrestle each other and the youngster really brought the fight to J-Ro until Aguila crept back into the ring looking to hit her Aguila Press finisher. Yamato was able to interrupt before she could complete the move and hit Aguila with the Yamatotal [Cross-arm bridging German Suplex] for the pin to take her out of the match and shatter the dreams of team GDR for a big win on this show.</p><p> </p><p> Now with fewer bodies in the ring and stamina coming into play, Huracan picked up the pace and brought the crowd alive with her aerial maneuvers, topping them off with some great technical skills, especially a spot where she went for a rana only to roll through and effortlessly slide into a crossface. Yamato saw her opportunity to strike and charged in for the penalty kick but Hurancan had it scouted and used Rodriguez as a human shield, maintaining the grapple after the kick had connected with J-Ro's head to roll her over and make the cover.</p><p> </p><p> Huracan and Yamato reset, giving each other a nod before circling around as they sought for the opportune moment to make a move. An eager Yamato went straight for the Yamatotal and for her trouble she got dumped on her head when the champion reversed it into a lucha arm drag, before pressing the offensive by climbing on top of her in an oldschool camel clutch. Fans really loved seeing a luchadora who had a solid technical foundation and didn't just rely on flashy high flying and Yamato was a great opponent for Huracan to showcase just that. As the match reached its dramatic climax, Huracan used a combination of submission holds and slams to break Yamato's body and spirit, before slapping on an beautiful standing guillotine for the tap.</p><p> <strong>Winner: Juana Huracán (Defenses: 3)</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Guillotine</strong></p><p> <img alt="8x5Bau7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8x5Bau7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="G79LIV1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/G79LIV1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Xc4Zgz2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Xc4Zgz2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="qIYQtpx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qIYQtpx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GtoYkcW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GtoYkcW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Juana Huracán celebrated her victory as Águila Azul Celeste, Estrella Blanca and Pinky Perez made their way to the ring. Looking to make a mark for themselves and put the spotlight on themselves once more, Sawyer's ladies showed a lot of fire in this match, with Trigg especially trampling everyone on her path like a raging bull. Winters also had a few good moments, both trading blows with Bitch and grappling on the mat against the frantic Selina Svelte, while Washington was of course the target of many shady moves and three-on-one attacks (four, when Sawyer would chip in). Miss Atlantic Wrestling jumped into the fire more than once to help her fellow patriot, but she paid the price for it when Svelte caught her and slapped on an armbar, pulling so hard she popped her opponent's shoulder of its socket, forcing referee Alvin Lavin to stop the match as the show kicked off with a bang.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Sawyer Sports Services, by stoppage</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="FHUEpiU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FHUEpiU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="oSBICFE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oSBICFE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2FjO0qV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2FjO0qV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uN4bdE9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uN4bdE9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Masked Patriot & James Diaz vs Reaper & Xavi Ferrera</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> A match booked in the aftermath of what happened at War for Territory #29, with Slick and Logan Diaz moving on to fight each other in tonight's main event for the Piledriver Championship, the interfering Reaper teamed up with Ferrera while James Diaz filled in for his cousin alongside Masked Patriot. Things began with Patriot and Ferrera in the ring, a standard start to a match with a mix of basic strikes, simple holds and some crowd interaction as they revisited their ongoing storyline of Ferrera being unable to best Patriot, especially clean and in one on one matches. Things slowly began to pick up and as Ferrera seemed to slowly be losing ground, Reaper blind tagged himself in to bring his intimidating power into the mix. Patriot wisely kept his ego in check and retreated to also tag in his partner, with James Diaz showing no fear whatsoever as he charged his opponent. It's not often Reaper finds himself in the ring with a man less experienced than himself but he took full advantage of that to control the match as he signalled to Ferrera, who proceeded to pull a table from under the ring apron and set it up at ringside. Reaper looked like he was going to hit his finisher to Diaz and send him over the ropes to crash outside and he even managed to get the big rookie off his feet, but Diaz kicked and shifted his weight just enough to avoid the worst, instead recklessly hitting Reaper with close range knee strikes and headbutts. With Reaper groggy but still holding on, Diaz leaned back onto the ropes and in a spectacular moment, launched Reaper to the outside and through the table as the heels' plan backfired! Fortunately, Ferrera was able to make a desperate tag before the move was fully executed and he flew into the ring with a High Impact Frog Splash on the fallen Diaz, with the youngster somehow kicking out of the subsequent pin at two to tag in Patriot. The former champion got to work on the cocky Puerto Rican and with no one to tag in, Ferrera eventually fell to the Patriot Slam.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Masked Patriot & James Diaz, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="Je0e6AN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Je0e6AN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Je0e6AN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Je0e6AN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Piledriver Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="SJYcxhu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SJYcxhu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vunGiRs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vunGiRs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="OMuDnHg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OMuDnHg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4LTspFc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4LTspFc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="7rS8uzo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7rS8uzo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Riley McManus & Quentrel Garner vs The Good Ol’ Boys © (with Vinny Cruz)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Though not a regular tag team, McManus and his protege Garner did manage to win a Four Way Elimination match to land in this title match and they really gave it their all to make the best of the opportunity. Garner came hot out of the gates to unleash a thunderstorm of strikes on the champion pairing, setting the pace for what would be a fast paced, action packed contest. His youthful enthusiasm was his advantage as was his downfall, with the experienced Iowa natives eventually turning things around and double teaming to cut the ring in half and beat down the rookie in a classic display of textbtook tag team wrestling. Garner withstood the assault and barely escaped the Iowa Harverst to roll across the ring and tag in his partner, much to the crowd’s excitement who cheered on the Georgia native who’s been with the company since its first show without ever missing a beat. McManus brought his trademark mix of southern brawling and crisp technical wrestling to build up some offensive momentum, but the numbers game eventually caught up with him and with Cruz directing traffic from ringside, the Good Ol’ Boys picked him up for the Iowa Harvest, when the music of Cruz’s former clients hit the speakers…</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="5Lv79RL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5Lv79RL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> ...and out came Lisa Bowen, strutting to the ring with a smile on her face. They lost fair and square at War for Territory #29. No, their problem is the state of wrestling, in this company and the Mid Atlantic area, the home of true professional wrestling. The home of MAW. For the two loyalists, Rip Chord would be turning in his grave if he could see what was happening. Just look at tonight’s show: a match stopped due to injury, garbage wrestling shenanigans and going through tables, two simpletons holding the tag team titles before losing them in a finish that even SWF wouldn’t put up with… and what about tonight’s main event? A ghetto thug from Southern California, a hardcore weapon swinger who can’t wrestle, getting that chance and potentially becoming the face of Piledriver Wrestling! Well here’s the thing… that’s true… because he’s better than Jack Bruce! Slick sought to make this a crazy, chaotic match like the ones he used to have in California with GSW, but a snap suplex from the champion quickly put the breaks on that plan as Diaz used his amateur wrestling background to keep Slick on the mat and slow down the pace. After the rope break, the two men reset and without ever losing the calm expression on his face, Slick nodded to his opponent, signalling that he understood that this was how this match was going to go down and was alright with it. To his credit, he proceeded to prove himself a competent wrestler who can also get along without the mayhem of a hardcore environment, pushing Diaz to his limits to make for an exciting match. Both the physicality and the intensity of the bout kept climbing with every spot, including an exchange where Diaz wrapped his arms around his opponent’s waist to attempt the Belly to Belly Suplex, only for Slick to avoid it by choking the champion to force a release; Slick tried to go from there into his Slick-Back chokeslam finisher but Logan responded in kind as he powered out of it, pulling Slick’s fingers away from his throat with both hands. Before fully giving up though, Slick did rake the eyes and that got him a warning from the official. As referee Alvin Lavin was checking up on Diaz, Slick pulled something out of his tights and once the match reset, blasted Diaz in the face with whatever it was he was holding, falling on top for the cover while the audience booed him with palpable hatred.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Cali Slick, by pinfall after using a foreign object</strong></p><p><strong> Cali Slick wins the Piledriver Championship title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="12RJue4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/12RJue4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Slick raised the Piledriver Championship belt high up in the air, defiant of the heat he was getting from the audience. A classic stable clash between the four Japanese stars and their four gaijin opponents, the match was servicable for what it was and even ended in a somewhat surprising fashion as Bilous was able to put Kuroda in the Butterfly Lift-Lock, forcing her not only to submit but also give Bilous legitimate claim to a title match for the WINNOW Rising Championship.</p><p> <strong>Winners: Connie Morris, Deborah Young, Karen Bilous & Thea Davis</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Butterfly Lift-Lock [Double Underhook Lifting Lock]</strong></p><p> <img alt="8x5Bau7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8x5Bau7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="NVsHmIw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NVsHmIw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> After making her entrance but before her opponent did, Joanne Rodriguez got on the mic to cut a promo. In accented but passable Japanese, much to the delight of the crowd who cheered her for her effort to speak their language, Rodriguez hyped up her title match as well as the upcoming Tsunami Relief charity show, revealing that both the singles and tag team titles of the Women's Wrestling Alliance would be defended there, for the first time ever in WINNOW or on Japanese soil altogether!</p><p> <img alt="7EqFCw6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7EqFCw6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9GCKJ3d.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9GCKJ3d.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>WINNOW Pure Heart title match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="RCvIapy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RCvIapy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NVsHmIw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NVsHmIw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Rei Chikanatsu © vs Joanne Rodriguez</strong></p><p> This match was everything it was meant to be and proceeded to tear down the house, even if the Hall of Nagahama was no longer sold out due to the economic crisis following the tsunami disaster. Chikanatsu and Rodriguez pulled out all the stops and set out to steal the show, delivering the best, most spectacuar and dramatic performance they could. The two of them looked like they were always meant to fight each other, every woman feeding off the intensity and aggression of the other as they elevated their competition to a whole new level. Rodriguez showed great athleticism and reflexes when she rolled through an attempt at the Blue Crab Surprise, while Chikanatsu got hit with the J-Rocker, twice, both times barely managing to get a shoulder up before the referee's count of three. It took a bit of inspiration from the defending champion to win this but she finally did it when she switched up her game and changed her set up move, using a huracanrana to roll over and apply the Single Leg Boston Crab. Rodriguez crawled to the ropes making the best of her power advantage over the diminutive champion, but with a roar that mustered everything she had in her, Chikanatsu managed to drag her back into the center of the ring, where she was forced to submit after a full minute and half in the hold.</p><p> <strong>Winner: Rei Chikanatsu (Defenses: 1)</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Blue Crab Surprise [single Leg Boston Crab after a backward roll]</strong></p><p> <img alt="8x5Bau7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8x5Bau7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="RCvIapy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RCvIapy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NVsHmIw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NVsHmIw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The match over, Rei Chikanatsu walked over and offered her hand as a sign of respect to J-Ro for putting up a great fight.
