  1. I'm not sure if you're asking if you want to change user characters? But I went in the in-game editor, and changing the start date for a random worker worked just fine. If you're in January, you need to set it to February. The reason for this is because they can only debut on the first of the month.
  2. If you have a tag team with an enormous gap of popularities between the two workers, which team type is best? I am booking the team in like a main eventer and sidekick sort of way to get the sidekick over. If I choose Individuals, and have the main eventer get the pinfalls, what would the popularity gain be compared to if I choose Unit?
  3. I book most of my shows via pre-booking, simply for organizational purposes. I find it rather annoying that you can't delete the pre-booked matches in PM mode. I understand that this is so you can't delete them with pre-book requirements on, but I don't use pre-book requirements (and I'm sure the majority of the player base doesn't either... it's not even default.) Can this be tweaked to allow you to delete pre-booked matches with pre-book requirements off? And for anything that says that this could be exploited, you can turn off every other User Preference in PM mode.
  4. I don't like having too many fighters in my promotion, thus I don't run too many events. I run a PPV every month and probably six TV shows a year. I don't think the default game world is deep enough to fill your roster with poached talent from other promotions, and I don't like just hiring a bunch of garbage fighters.
  5. Please. Please. Please. I'm not kidding when I say this... it's incredibly hard on the eyes. It's disorienting to have to look the list, click a team, dart your eyes to the pictures, dart your eyes to the list, click on a team, dart your eyes to the pictures... I love this screen, but it takes so freaking long to use, and my eyes hurt.
  6. <p>Pretty much every single entertainment company in history has, in TEW terms, "penalized" technical wrestling. Just because you're fond of Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero doesn't mean that the masses might have liked Hogan vs Piper more. Just because you like Angle vs Benoit doesn't mean they didn't blow their loads at Triple H vs The Undertaker. </p><p> </p><p> That is not to say that they didn't enjoy these vanilla midgets rolling around in holds. But they like the big stars more because that's the style of wrestling they enjoy. </p><p> </p><p> The same could be said about New Japan running a cinematic match in a swamp. Would that be a hit?</p><p> </p><p> This is essentially like saying "What the hell?! Moonlight and Avengers has the same Rotten Tomatoes score. Moonlight won Best Picture, why don't people want to see Moonlight?" Well it's because in America the masses would rather watch mindless popcorn entertainment than dramas about homosexual black men. Doesn't mean that they wouldn't like Moonlight, but they would rather see Avengers. </p><p> </p><p> I think TEW does a good job at finding the right balance between good wrestling carrying a show and stars carrying a show, depending on the product.</p><p> </p><p> Edit: An important thing to realize is that the match ratings aren't about the quality of the match, but how the audience responds to the match.</p>
  7. I always gravitate towards tag team main events. Not tag wrestling, but 4 main eventers wrestling. I find it difficult to make singles matches for the title, so I do that for something different. It's an easy solution but I would never want to watch that in real life, unless there was a massive hook. Another thing I do is put the tag titles on really over singles guys, practically in every save. It's easier than building teams, even though it's always a pain in the ass getting the titles off them.
  8. <p>I've been having some success now with USPW. </p><p> </p><p> I like that you have to be forced to adapt with the new product system. Since the matches and angles should be short, and the matches don't have to be as long to be good, you kinda need to fill the show with more stuff. </p><p> </p><p> In the past I always did the same format. Start the show off hot, cool it down, bring it up in the second half, bring it down, end hot. </p><p> </p><p> That didn't really work for me here. There was just too many things that could go wrong because the roster is "terrible." Since I had to fill the show with more midcard stuff, there was too much of a gap between the good stuff and the bad stuff, so the crowd would frequently get disinterested, and it would be much harder to get them interested in the main event, resulting in some poor ratings. </p><p> </p><p> Now instead of starting off hot, I start lukewarm. The first 30 minutes of the show (I book 90 minute shows instead of 120) is basically filler, with maybe one good midcard segment thrown in. Then I have a block of time where I do some good main event level segments back to back. Then I cool it down slightly, and end the show with my stars in big TV matches, main event vs midcard matches that usually score okay, or huge main event level angles. </p><p> </p><p> So basically I offload what I once used to get the show hot at the beginning to the very end of the card.</p>

Be the BEST version of yourself.</p>
  10. This is probably going to get me **** but I'll try to infuse a little positivity to this take. I have two suggestions: One that results in you not writing diaries, and one that does. To be honest, I don't think writing fan fiction about wrestling based on a video game is a worthwhile hobby to invest your time into. You could get more from your life by reading, or most importantly, since you're interested in writing, learning how to write. This is much more impactful on your life, has so many resources in how to get into it and grow as an artist, and you'll be able to get feedback and love from people if you share your work. The second suggestion is that you write a diary but learn about storytelling, screen writing, story arcs, acting, dialogue creation, and whatnot, in the meantime. Basically you leverage writing fan fiction into learning about a craft.
  11. Okay. You can do this rather easily. Go look up a video, or read a tutorial, about Photoshop Actions. This is an essential tool in Photoshop that you should learn if you do editing on the regular. It's incredibly powerful for limitless situations. You could create an action to crop the images to a specific dimension. Photoshop Actions are separate from doing this all at once on multiple files. For this you create the action, then go to File... Automate... Batch to do it on multiple files at once.
  12. Which image editing program are you using (Photoshop, etc.)?
  13. Yeah. I don't get it. I have been playing TEW since the first one and can only remember playing a 2000 mod in the EWR days. For 2016, we had various 80s mods, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, two 97s, 98, there was a 99 one but I don't think it made it out of the gate, there's two 2001 mods, 03 I think, 04, 05, 06, and so on. No 2000? 2000 WWF is the pinnacle of actually good professional wrestling. Nothing has come close to it in quality in 20 years. I'm not quite sure why there's no 2000 mods. 1999 was a terrible year for the WWF in quality of the show, but it was super popular and I could recognize it for that. Don't understand why people haven't hopped onto that, either.
  14. I would suggest the 2005 mod, yeah. It's the C-Verse at its most ridiculous, I feel. It seems like most of the fans have piggybacked off those early years.
  15. Just use your imagination. It's really not a big deal.
  16. If it's the release one, no. If it's the other one, you edit his contract in the editor.
  17. Keep Strong is basically like watching a hockey game where Team A leads in all metrics-- shots, scoring chances, hits, possession-- but the score is tied and Team B scores in double overtime off a fluke goal. Team B won... but everyone knows they shouldn't have. It's a big wet fart.
  18. Short videos like that aren't even rated highly and, unless you're using Consistent Focus, probably wouldn't even be in the show calculation anyway.
  19. To preface this post, I like the Momentum system and think the Perception system is the game's best addition. When the game first came out, I was amazed by these two features. I created a SWF game, and was so excited. "Oh my God!" I said, "SWF only has three major stars! And momentum put one of them to a Major Star!" How cool. After playing a year into a TCW game, the effect these two have on each other is a bit of a bummer. This is not me creating a system of exploits, and cheesing the game. This is me playing about a half hour a day and mindlessly booking one show at a time... Currently my promotion has 10 Major Stars. I have 6 Stars. I have 9 Well Known wrestlers. Whaaaaa? Of my 10 Major Stars, all of them have White Hot momentum. White Hot Momentum is the key here, because the effect it has on the Perception system. It puts wrestlers in Perceptions that they don't quite belong in yet. This is particularly a problem in the top of the promotion. There's two main issues... 1. White Hot momentum lasts waaaaaaaay too long. Like I said, all of my Major Stars have it. Obviously I am not using all of these people to the absolute best of their ability. With the addition of performance to the calculation, and the lag between it going up or down, this is an issue. But not as bad as... 2. The "plussing" effect White Hot momentum has on Perception is just too strong. Of my 10 Major Stars, only three of them are over my promotion's popularity. The majority of them are being helped significantly by their White Hot Momentum.
  20. It means "If a tree falls in the forest..." If you don't have enough reach in audience, you won't grow as much.
