  1. Yes. Very much so. There's more title reigns, but not TOO many, and wrestlers are phased in and out of the main event quite frequently.
  2. Yes and no. Storyline success is simply cosmetic to show how the storyline is going for a particular worker and display any imbalances. Every character naturally has "wins" and "losses" tied to their momentum and will get boosts and dips when they "win" or "lose" in angles, and of course match results. The higher the momentum, the more they get over. Performances do play a role as well.
  3. I think this feature could use some blocks to make it more realistic. I am playing as MAW, and a while ago Miller Fforde left my promotion. He worked for no other promotion but MAW. Since he left, he has worked one match, on a small independent show. Now The Architect has chosen to leave, and he is hired by no one else. Wouldn't it be possible that he also wouldn't work anywhere else? If wrestlers are employed by only one promotion, it makes no sense for them to leave, and it screws up the game world. If other promotions were interested in them already, they would already have hired them or stolen them. This feature would be great if they could hand in their notice if they had any job to fall back on, but it makes no sense how it works now.
  4. There's some issues with the AI such as its handling of stables and a couple weird main events sometimes, but in terms of feeling like a living world, this is such a huge leap forward. I am in year 2022 and there's so many moving pieces, and seeing the new champions constantly is really good.

  7. Yes, the game penalizes you for heel vs heel. Face vs face is a little less. In the Products page you could change how severe the penalty is. You could turn off the penalty if you want and still keep a face/heel divide.
  8. MAW has a limit on the size of the promotion (that you can turn off). Not sure if that affects the popularity growth. It's really not that big of an issue though because very few people actually have the ability to stick with a small promotion for significant growth anyways. It takes a really long time. Also on the AI hiring rules that you don't have to follow but I think you should are the rules that you can't hire anyone over 30 year old, and they have to be unemployed. MAW is meant as a place for the next generation of stars to work their way up to the big leagues. Look at their alumni page. That should be your focus.

  12. I would also suggest having them "win" in angles, too, and keeping track of their angle and match wins through the storylines screen. And use Keep Strong in matches in some situations at first to not get in a situation when to fix someone you have to tank someone else's momentum, leading to the same exact situation.

  14. I am not a modder, but there's two confirmation boxes to delete a database. I don't see how it's an issue. You could also download a backup software to continually backup your files. Not sure if it'll work when you're playing the game, though. I like SyncBack Free.
  15. It really doesn't hinder it that much. It could be exploitable when used in ways that are unintended. When I was doing a MAW save in 2016, you could bring in much more popular guys through alliance loans, have your top stars beat them with Keep Strong, then just continue down the chain using Keep Strong to preserve the top popularity. The small decreases in show rating is worth it in the long run.
  16. I'm playing as MAW and having a difficult time. My company is 32 pop and nearly my entire roster is either Recognizable or Unimportant, and they mostly fall in the 17-21 popularity range with only a few exceptions. I don't see much of a problem with their momentum, but they don't seem to be gaining any popularity. What's the best way to build up people on a one show per month model? I don't want to use exploits like Keep Strong and stuff like that.
  17. It may feel like a lot of writing, but what I do is sort of map out my feuds beforehand and improvise from there if things get offtrack. You don't have to be really specific. It could be as simple as... 1: The Rock + Austin - 2. Austin + The Rock - 3: Rock = 4: Austin = The Rock 5: Austin + vs. The Rock - Then a lot of the times I'll actually write what happens, like... 1: The Rock costs Austin a match against D'Lo Brown 2: Austin beats up Rock backstage 3: The Rock cuts a promo on Austin and tells him he slept with his wife 4: The Rock and Austin brawl outside and the police are called. 5: Austin beats Rock at the PPV. This took about a minute to write but you're coming up with a story and motivation for characters, which I think is what TEW is best used for.
  18. You just reinstall the game. You download the Full Download and put in your license. Your license number should be in your e-mail.

  21. I did. It wasn't too bad. The show was about 3 and a half hours, and all the first round matches were 3-7 minutes.
