Will there be any Bishima and Shinya Momochi action going? Meaning will they be in the mod.
I'm gonna take a shot at it. Problem is you can't see much of his face to begin with, so I don't know how much younger I could make him look without a whole new render, and the problem with that is I don't have a keffiyeh (i think that's what it is) like he has on. That said, I'll give it a shot. :D
You're a godsend for doing all the renders/youngifying the older workers. Like really.

I'll leave it at that for now, except to say that Momochi's concussion in the early 70s was not his last. But yes, both are in.
You're a godsend for doing all the renders/youngifying the older workers. Like really.
Thanks! I'm having some fun with it. And here's Sheik Mustafa, 20 years younger. Not a huge difference, but it actually came out a bit better than I thought it would... Those are definitely some class renders :). I've got SWF set up now with just a few adjustments to do and have worked out a popularity chart of sorts to hopefully balance the gameplay so it's fun to play but remains realistic, the testing of it is looking good so far. From the looks of it, there might even be a BHOTWG in the beta with jtlant doing some cracking work on it :). I plan to get USA done in the next couple of days then I'll start on Canada.

Thanks for the good words guys. Got a couple more that I've brought back in time a bit. This time it's the Vessey Brothers. Bryan won't debut for a few years in the mod, but I figured I might as well do him too after I did Larry. Couple new renders for tonight. This will be the last from me for a few days, as I'll be out of town until monday night. Just to update everyone, BHOTWG and GCG are essentially done except for some stat/pop tweaking and maybe an addition or two, and the rest of Japan is shaping up nicely. Anyways, on to the renders... Rahim and Jabir. Sons of The Sultan, they wrestle under masks as their fathers henchmen/bodyguards. Rahim Jabir

Couple of new ones for the women's scene. Probably won't see too much more from me for the next ten days, as I'll be crazy busy with work. Nyoko Tosh!tala, 5SSW champion and loyalist Dixie Diamond, one half of JWW's tag team champions [IMG]http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii145/jtlant/TEW%20-%20Full/DixieDiamond.png[/IMG]

Got a new re-render, this time Hito Ichihara... Actually, I'm kinda looking for opinions on which of these people prefer. I wasn't totally happy with the re-render so I also de-aged him a bit in GIMP. Any preferences? Two new ones and a redo on a previous render. Jennifer Payne of JWW Junko Hayakawa, who works for all three women's promotions and a different take on Nyoko Tosh!tala... wasn't happy with the first

I've had PC problems so haven't had the chance to do alot of editing but all sorted now so back to full steam ahead with the mod :). Jtlant is doing a great job with the Japan data and I'm getting through the USA and Canada data so I reckon the first release will include those regions initially so people can play and see what they think.

 • 3 weeks later...
Giving this a bump with a couple new workers (with profiles added) since it had slipped pretty far back there... Brute Alexei Alexei Tolstova, known in wrestling circles as Brute Alexei, is a big menacing Russian who has seen action in both Japan and the United States. Weighing in at over three hundred pounds, Alexei is an extremely physical brawler who tears into his opponents with thunderous strikes. Despite not being particularly agile in the ring, his size and toughness have made him a popular competitor in Japan, where the crowds love to watch him toss his smaller foes around the ring. He has been a part of the last three tours with BHOTWG, and it is rumored that they may be close to offering him a full time spot on their roster. He has also proven to be a good draw in the States, terrifying crowds with his menacing look and raw physical strength. Sayuri Inozuki Sayuri Inozuki is one of the brightest stars in women's wrestling, already having reached the highest peak of the sport at a young age. The daughter of former GCG star Ryo Inozuki, Sayuri grew up in the industry and began her training very early on in life. She debuted for JWW in 1980, losing a hard-fought match to star performer and then-champion Nakamura Miharu, and has done little wrong since that time, quickly ascending the ranks of the promotion. She earned her first world title run in 1985, and it looks to be the first of many for this talented young woman.

Looking at the TWL roster, i was wondering. Whither Frank "The Milkman" Milliman? Or as he's known in the C-Verse, Leo Davis. I'd get C-Verse 97 and see if there was an answer there. But I've been having a bear of a time getting file compression programs to co-operate with me lately. Would the rookie Davis have started in TWL or would he be elsewhere beginning his reign as King of the Jobbers?

I suppose he could be a free agent as well though, as he would've only debuted in late '85, and that's only if he began wrestling at 18. Either way, I'm sure he'll be jobbing somewhere in the US. :D Just as a preview, here's what I've been working with as my main event and upper mid for BHOTWG.... Hooded Kudo Sam Keith Motoichi Arakida Yoshinaka Toshusai Dread Seison Yamanaka Kazuo Mitsushi Elemental Optimus Dick The Devastator Ryoji Hashimoto Shikimara Mibu Dragon Agakawa Tatsumaki Mibu I'm planning on doing a promotion profile for Burning Hammer in the next couple of days to give everyone a better idea of how it is going to look.

I do hope yall make Blackjack Robbins a free agent from the start... as the local expert on his career (yeah, I said it) he probably should be unemployed at the beginning, and debuted according to the current data in 1982. And, I for one, would love to start a company with which I could build a new company around a 22 year old Blackjack Robbins! FINALLY, a game where he isn't about to retire at any given moment.

Just wondering are we going to see any wrestlers who are not in the 08 game or the 96 game in any way shape or form(owners, managers ect ect) Or as they say in the music business those one hit wonders or those wrestlers that maybe just totally left the business no matter how good they were.

With that said, I'd say Blackjack is a pretty safe bet to be unemployed at the start when everything shakes out. :D

Always wanted to build a company around him, but in the default database he's just too damn old, sadly. And I guess I COULD use the 1997 mod to try that, but... I dunno, just doesn't feel right. Maybe something to do with him starting with XFW. Keep up the work on this one! I'm desperate to try out it and the 1975 mod... just a shame that neither of them are finished. 97 just isn't far enough back in time for me.

I had planned to have Blackjack Robbins working for the Texas Wrestling League but he'd have only been a opener at most. It's not a big thing if I put him as unemployed as I can easily find someone to replace him in TWL :). I've not had the opportunity to do much editing as i've had PC problems but I plan to really push on with it over the weekend. Like jtlant says, there will be new workers created as most of the promotions wouldn't have enough active workers to start with plus having a few workers starting unemployed can only be good for the player and AI to pad out rosters.
