<p>I didn't even catch it the first time I read it, knew exactly who you meant. but then in re-reading it, got to thinking about what the possibilities could be. </p><p>

tough loss if Murdoch is truly gone. He's a real ring veteran and will be missed. Sad to see problems with the Buddy System too. I had high hopes for them so hopefully each man will find a partner more to their liking</p>

The Rat Pack in the WWF!!!!! that's big news right there, and can't wait to see where this leads. I think you're looking at the next tag team champs and Dibiase is bound to come around to rejoin his stable. If they are half as dominant as their time in MidSouth, things are heating up fast

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

New York, New York

"THE DYNAMITE EXPRESS" RICK MCGRAW & SCOTTY MCGHEE vs REX & SPOT "THE MOONDOGS"

The Moondogs have been rather quiet on the Tag scene in recent months... Do they begin to remake a name for themselves against the upstart Dynamite Express who have pulled off miraculous upset wins over The Buddy System & The North/South Connection in recent weeks

B. BRIAN BLAIR vs ADRIAN ADONIS w/ Jimmy Hart

It looks as if the era of the North/South Connection has come to a close... Adrian Adonis breaks off into singles action against the always tough B. Brian Blair... A win, will catapult one of these guys up the WWWF ladder

DINO BRAVO vs GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE

The Canadian strongman has recently returned to WWWF action, he is trying to jump right in and go after one of the WWWF big dogs in the Hammer... A win would probably be considered an upset, a win by Valentine keeps him right in the thick of WWWF Title hunt

Non Title Match-up

BARRY WINDHAM & MIKE ROTUNDO "THE US EXPRESS" vs ERICK & PIERRE "THE YUKON LUMBERJACKS"

Windham & Rotundo make their first venture into MSG as champions... The Lumberjacks can shoot themselves straight to the top of the tag tea challengers with a non-title victory... Do the Lumberjacks have what it takes to score the "W" and earn themselves a title shot or does the US Express just steam roll through into bigger competition..

TED DIBIASE vs "BIG" JOHN STUDD w/ Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Some might say Dibiase is elevating himself into a main eventer, but does this become a trap match for Dibiase... With bigger aspiraions, to look forward to, Big John Studd is no pushover... He's also THE biggest man in the WWWF and he would love to re-establish himself as a perrenial contender

Intercontinental Title Match

(Champion) RICKY "THE DRAGON" STEAMBOAT vs (Challenger) THE MASKED SUPERSTAR w/ Gary Hart

Two of the best in the World face off... Gary Hart paid alot of money to acquire the services of The masked Superstar and it was with intentions to bring titles to the Hart Camp... Steamboat is proving himself as quite the worthy IC Champ... His reign is now entering into its 8th month..

Leather Strap Match

"SUPERSTAR" BILLY GRAHAM vs THE MAGNIFICENT MURACO

Once good friends, two of the biggest stars in the history of the WWWF have seen their rivalry escalate through the use of both men taking turns and whipping the other with leather belts... This Saturday Night, they will be attached by a 15 foot leather strap... Blood will seep from the welts courtesy of the strap... One man, has to beat his opponent down so they can touch all four corners...Who takes control of this battle of legends

TITO SANTANA vs "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER

This rivalry has been simmering as of late and this Saturday it may take to the next level... Piper has had his way with several WWWF Legends... Scotty McGhee & Rick McGraw vs Moondog's Rex & Spot

seems like a step down after defeating the former tag champs. Moondogs are just another notch in the belts of the surging Express.

B. Brian Blair vs Adrian Adonis

I could see Adonis being the next big challenger for Steamboat's I/C title. Those two could put on a helluva match

Dino Bravo vs Greg Valentine

While wouldn't be surprised to see a Bravo victory, I don't think Hammer is ready for the pasture just yet so a win is needed to keep him going. Hoping Valentine gets to wear a title belt before too long

Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo vs Erick & Pierre "The Yukon Lumberjacks"

decent challenge for the new champs to help them establish their reign.

Ted Dibiase vs "Big" John Studd

hard to see a clean finish in this one. Maybe the Rat Pack makes their presence felt here

You know I agree with Olympia on this one, I did not think Scotty and Rick had a chance against the Buddy System but I was wrong so let us see how well they do against the Moondogs.

Piper then tosses Tito to the outside and Orton puts the boots to Tito... After seeing this Pedro Morales comes down to ringside and he decks Orton several times... Orton eye rakes Morales, then charges at him and Pedro hits Orton with a backdrop on the floor... Piper pulls Tito up into the ring and suplexes him back in and gets a 2 3/4 count.. Piper goes into his tights and pulls out the chain again, but Pedro from the floor grabs Piper by the legs and trips him up... Marella threatens Morales, but Piper dropped the chain and Tito picked it up and wrapped it around his fist... Tito lays in with several right hands with his fist wrapped in chain... Tito backs Piper into the corner and blasts away.. Marella tries to stop Tito but Tito shoves him aside and Joey Marella calls for the bell as Tito continues to rail away on Piper, busting him open with the chain...

THE TIME: 14:36 YOUR WINNER: AS A RESULT OF A DQ: "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER ... RATED: B-

Tito wouldnt let up with the punches and Bob Orton had reached under the ring and grabbed what looked to be an even bigger, thicker chain, almost resembling a long, thick dog collar and he blasted Pedro Morales with it, knocking him down and out... Orton got in the ring, with the large chain and Tito kicked him in th estomach causing Orton to drop the chain and Tito began hammering away at Orton... Piper picked up the LARGE chain and wrapped it around Tito's neck... Orton then began kicking away at Santana... Piper then with chain wrapped around Tito's neck tossed Tito up and over the top rope and continued to hold the chain as Tito was now being hung over the top rope with the chain... Tito squirmed for a bit, but Orton and Piper pulled back on the chain as they choked the life out of Tito Santana... Tito tried desperately to seperate the chain from his neck so he could breathe, but he began turning a bit blue....

The entire locker room emptied as Windham, Rotundo, Blair, Dibiase, Davey Boy Smith, Jacques Rougeau, Scotty McGhee, Rick McGrawRicky Steamboat rushed down and stopped the carnage by Piper and Orton... Tito grasped at his throat... EMT's headed down to ringside as well... Orton and iper left the arena through the crowd and up the stairs of the arena... A hush overcame the crowd as the treated Tito, while the wrestlers surrounded him, all with concerned looks on their faces as Tito was quickly stretchered out of the arena

A long leather strap was attached to the wrists of both participants.. An inside look at whats going on in the world of professional wrestling

WWWF:

Much of the buzz coming out of the WWWF This past Saturday in Madison Square Garden is the severity of the injury to Tito Santana at the hands of Roddy Piper... Santana was rushed to a local hospital and had emergency surgery performed to fix that crushed trachea he had suffered from Roddy Piper's post match hanging... Piper, who in recent months had been pulling a small chain out to use against his opponents had placed a large dog collar like chain underneath the ring and after his victory over Santana, Piper used the larger chain to wrap around Santana's neck and hang him over the top rope. This occurence is what caused damage to Santana's trachea as well as his Larynx as well... Santana is said to be out indefinately due to this injury... There has been no word yet out of commisioner Pat Patterson's office on whether Piper and his bodyguard Bob Orton would recieve any disciplinary action..

Gary Hart has brought in the tag team of Matt Borne & Jim Duggan, known as The Rat Pack... The Rat Pack has been a team known for the reign of terror in the Mid South Region in recent years... Hart is hoping that bringing in Duggan and Borne, will help him in his recruitment of Ted Dibiase, who was a former member of the rat pack when he wrestled in the Mid South Region! So far, no luck for Hart in his plan, as Dibiase came out to aid Ricky Steamboat after Steamboat had succesfully defended his Intercontinental Title against The Masked Superstar.. Following the match The Superstar with Duggan and Borne went on to attack Steamboat until Dibiase came out for the save...

NWF:

The National Wrestling Federation owned by Linda McMahon has been putting on severl shows as of late... Recently, Butch Reed defeated Nikita Koloff to capture the NWF North American Heavyweight Title.

GCW:

King Kong Bundy has made his arrival in Georgia championship Wrestling, proclaiming to be wrestling's True Giant... Bundy makes his claim as Andre The Giant still is on the sidelines after suffering a major injury to his back and put him on the shelf for most of the year.

MACW:

Wahoo McDaniel has finally left Mid Atlantic region to focus solely on defending his World title in the AWA

ah!! The return of the Iron-Anvil!!! (think that's the name we gave them back in the old Mid-South) Maybe they can derail the surging Dynamite Express and give Windham-Rotundo a run for their money!!

nice to see you picking up ratings on MSG and also some good results in different territories. How soon before you are back to Cult status (and has the money situation improved?)

Roddy Piper is getting set to do PIPER'S PIT, when camera's cut back to the studio to Gorilla Monsoon, who has commisioner PAT PATTERSON joining him in the studio in the co-host chair

STUDIO:

GORILLA: Welcome back to the studio's here on primetime wrestling and many of you may behave been getting ready for Piper's Pit, but that is being pre-empted today to talk with our Commisioner of the WWWF

PATTERSON: Yes Gorilla, we are pre-empting Piper's Pit for good reason, due in part to the dispicable act, that he and Bob Orton did to Tito Santana a little more than a week ago in Madison Square Garden... We here at the WWWF do not feel it is the right place to allow Piper to brag about such devious act and in fact, we are going to keep Piper off of television until further notice as a disciplinary act.... What I also want to do, while Im here is let everyone know that Tito is home in Tocula, Mexico resting and recovering following surgery for the injured trachea, he had as a result of Piper and Orton's act... Tito is unable to talk at this time as he also suffered some damage to his larynx and no timetable has been set up for his return, if he is ever able to return..

GORILLA: Well certainly this has turned into a very serious situation as perhaps the career of one of the most popular fan favorites Tito Santana is in jeopardy... For those of you who want ot send cards or well wishes to Tito, here is an address on your screen to do so... Thanks Pat, and we look forward to hearing more information in regards to Tito as it becomes available
