<p>If you click on the link in the Fighter's Only report (where it cites WO) it actually takes you to a dead BloodyElbow (part of SBN) page. I'm guessing that it was a troll fan post or fan shot that got deleted, and someone at FO bit without checking. D'Oh! :-p </p><p> </p><p>

Their assistant editor here in the UK is a pal of mine, I'll give him a shout an see what's up :-p</p><p> </p><p>

EDIT: The story was apparently deleted from the WO a short while ago, with the BE story pulled just after that.</p>

<p>And they're sticking to the "I'm the WWE Champion" tweener attitude....</p><p> </p><p>

Boy...Mysterio must have been eating a lot of fast food during his time off. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Amazed at how Daniel Bryan manages to keep himself relevant. The transition to NO! was very smart, to a point where during the main-event, he even broke the Cena chants. It takes a lot to do that. Him getting in the fans' faces was just the cherry on top.

Good amount of matches on Raw, and apparently after dark featured a massive tribute to Shawn Michaels where Punk broke kayfabe to pay his respects, and even Vince/Taker showed up(along with the whole locker-room). I hope it gets on Youtube very soon.

Raw was awesome. Cena vs Bryan was a great match and the crowd went nuts for Bryan. And the social media was finally used to good effect (Jericho filming Ziggler, Sheamus in ADR's car).

What does everyone think of the new SD GM? I'm surprised they didn't recap it on Raw.

I thought he would get involved but i really didn't think Riley would actually win. So...Michaels is getting involved in the feud. We should expect to see him getting dismantled by Lesnar next week or so. Always good to see Shawn involved in any kind of way, even if it means he's Lesnars punching bag. Punk finally completed his transition, and i loved his bit in the end, before being hit by Show. Good stuff. Still, i'm a bit disapointed that they placed Orton vs. Show so behind in the card. </p><p> </p><p> As for Booker as GM, i like it. Didn't see that coming, but it was cool. It suits him better and he will clean his image aftet that stint as colour commentator. He was actually becoming better at it, but he looks way better as a GM. They refresh the scene, as Long was there for years, why keeping Long relevant and putting Booker in a role that makes him look good.</p>

The Lesnar story is a complete fabrication and was never reported by the Observer at all. It's become the standard practice for trolls or the copy and paste sites that, when making stuff up, they ascribe it to 'the Observer' or 'Meltzer' to make it seem believable. They're counting on people to take it at face value and not make any attempt to find out if the story is really true. And they're usually right. This wouldn't be the first Lesnar story that was complete bullshit but got legs from using the same method.

From an interview for Grantland.com (I never heard of them either)

"When Benoit and Guerrero hugged [at the end of WrestleMania XX], that was the end of the business, has business been the same since that WrestleMania? Has it come close to the Austin era? Has it come close to the nWo or the Hogan era? You put two f***ing guys that were great workers that were the same height as the f***ing referees, and I'm sorry, man. Are you going to watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch d***? Even if you're not gay, you will not watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch d***. That's not the standard in porno films. So you put a 5-foot-7 guy as your world champion."

- Kevin Nash

What I get from this is:

1 - Kevin Nash doesn't think smaller wrestlers should main event

2 - Kevin Nash can't let go of 1997, when his career actually mattered

3 - Kevin Nash doesn't think highly of guys with three inch d***s

Well if certain websites would stop posting "complete fabrications" as fact then you'd have a lot less confusion. But it's not the websites that are the problem unfortunately...

Kinda surprised that FO didn't verify it themselves before posting it, or at least say that they were awaiting verification. I'm guessing with it being wrestling that they simply didn't care enough - but that's no excuse.

My guess is that the story probably wasn't true (or nearly as dramatic) and that the story went out on WO by mistake. It's happened to me before - I've had a story up and accidentally put it live before I was ready too. So then some sad act who's constantly F5'ing the WO page sees it and fan-shots it on BE, then it's taken down from WO. FO saw it and went a bit cavalier, posting it without checking out the story.

With that said - according to someone on twitter it never showed up in their WO RSS feed, which it would have even if it was deleted 5 seconds later. If that's true then the BE fan post was a troll job and FO bit.

Fighters Only have since taken the story down.

The greatest moment in Raw history was totally Triple H getting a pop after he came back from an injury, yep. Also, Roddy Piper had all the best moments in history according to Roddy Piper. The Ultimate Warrior thinks he was screwed, and the Iron Shiek hasn't dropped his character in 40 years. This is pro wrestling.</p>

While I don't agree that it's solely responsible for the downturn in wrestling... I see Nash's point about the size thing. I do. I say this as a 5'8 dude who enjoys watching smaller wrestlers perform, and struggles to relate to giants. When you're trying to sell 'Best Fighter In The World', size does matter. It's not the only thing that matters, but it does. Hard to be taken seriously when a certain portion of the crowd thinks "I'm bigger than him. I could kick his ass".
