He's good and his numbers are insane but he's gone no where every year. The Chargers are put at the top of many peoples lists but the fail every year. He's not a good head coach and was regarded as not a good head coach before the Chargers ever hired him. I share Rex's opinion, a good coach would have won a ring with that team already. He doesn't really turn the ball over. He's also got an impressive TD: Int ratio.</p><p> </p><p> Tebow's accuracy is also tied with the receivers. The receivers have been alarmingly dropping balls in the past two games. Decker had a horrid game against the Jets. Both facets need to improve.</p><p> </p><p> I believe that on the TD drive, Tebow knew where to go pre-snap. If you watched the replays/recaps, he looks to the left a handful of times pre-snap, the Jets' blitz comes, they lose contain, and Tebow scampers into the endzone. Tebow is not dumb and he can throw. I think it takes time for him to get use to the system he played in. They need a true RB will Willis getting older and Knowshon pretty much being a bust. They need a WR other then Decker. I'd much rather have draft position than a meaningless late-season win. But that really sucks for the other teams in the NFC wild card picture. They've been concentrating so much on helmet-to-helmet that they take their eyes off everything but the runner and miss some blatant holds, trips, and personal fouls. I'm hoping they straighten this out before February. Otherwise, we're going to see yet another Super Bowl XL. And as a Broncos fan, what should've been a 'Suck for Luck' season is turning out pretty damn good. I don't care about his mechanics, I don't care about his style, what I care about (and what I think others should care about) is Ws. Having Christian Ponder (or a player like him) sure hasn't helped the Vikings' W-L record much. The kid's improving in the "traditional" aspects of the position....while putting up several cardiac style wins. Tebow's style covers up a lot of the Broncos' deficiencies (not the least of which is a rather ordinary O-line that would probably turn ANY traditional quarterback into David Carr) and allows that defense to gel at the right pace (peaking at the end of the season). True, Von is a beast but all the attention focused on Tebow allows Von to avoid having to answer questions like why he's so rubbish in coverage. It allows him to work on shoring up that part of his game without having to deal with being an ant under a magnifying glass. And oh yeah, I'm willing to bet the Colts trade Peyton before that $28 million bonus comes due in March, especially if they wind up with the number one pick. I'm predicting Washington as the destination. Kyle Shanahan would cream if that happened. One last thing: if Andy Reid refuses to fire Juan Castillo, Andy Reid should be fired. I mean, jeez, that defense went from good to awful and the only major change they made (scheme wise) was bringing in an O-line coach as DC. I mean, why are they not playing more Cover 0 with arguably THREE shutdown corners? Asante is a better corner than Antonio Cromartie and the Jets run Cover 0/Cover 1 constantly. The worst thing that happened to the Eagles was Jim Johnson dying (and Sean McDermott trying to make himself a hot head coaching prospect). There is nothing even close to exotic about this defense and with the talent they have in the secondary, they should be doing a lot of things to help those young linebackers develop. I hadn't realized the win/lose wouldn't move them up/down, but momentum is a good thing. Now they go on with their last game being a loss by oneida their heads. It's just my opinion though. Anyway, the Vikings managed to hold onto the number three spot in the draft. I really, really hope they draft Robert Griffin III. Let Ponder play out 2012, take their time bringing AP back, stockpile another top 10 pick, and then go all out behind RG3 in 2013. If by some minor miracle Ponder pulls a Drew Brees and turns things around next year, great. After all this is the same team that was involved in Spy Gate and also that one Field Goal back in the 70's where the plow driver cleaned the field just for them. The sideline is always pretty hectic, but if it was as frantic as Baltimore has been claiming it was, then they should have called timeout and regained their composure some. Also, Cundiff needs to just own his screw up and stop blaming scoreboards. Take a note from the Niners Kyle Williams and make no excuses.
