I'm not a fan of Anderson Silva's as I hate his cocky attitude but to have that happen to him sucks and we will never really know who would have won had that not happened. We will also have to face the reality that Silva will most likely never fight again and if he does it will be nothing short of a miracle. Whether or not he is able to fight again it wont change the fact that he is the greatest fighter of all time bar none (and again this is coming from someone who isn't a fan of him but I know a good fighter when I see one I just don't like his shenanigans in fights at times).

What a horrid sight that was. I cringed like never before.

And Miesha vs Ronda II was also quite the fight. Those are some nice judo takedowns. Looks like Ronda's intent on retiring. I've never seen someone booked to fight so soon after their last bout. Too bad for Cat, but this is the better matchup imo, though Sara could've used another top contender fight to set her up for a title fight somewhere in july. But Ronda's contract probably doesn't go that far.

Decent event altogether. Too bad about the ending. I expected more excitement from the Warmaster fight.

Thoughts on Fight Pass? Any of you US guys got on the free trial yet?

It's not available where I am until the 1st of March, so we're having to pay £5-7 to watch the 'International Fight Night' Fight Pass exclusive cards until then. A lot of people over here are up in arms about it, but I think it's perfectly reasonable. The main event and the Kawajiri fight in Singapore were worth a fiver alone.

If the video library gets sorted out, I can't see much reason to complain about FP. Seems like a great idea, especially for those who don't already own the Pride/WEC/UFC library.

I don't get their price policy to be honest. U.S., Canadian, New Zealand and Australian citizens can watch all the international fights for free throughout January and February and for 10 $ afterwards while the rest of the world has to pay 7 $ for a single event? That's just a rip-off. They even now want us to pay 0.99 $ for the post fight pressers while you can watch them for free on several youtube channels - that's just ridiculous.

Here in Germany, you are able to watch all the other events (even the ppv's) for free on ufc.tv, so I probably shouldn't be complaining. But the prices for the International Fight Night events are unreasonably high in comparison to those who can access the UFC Fight Pass.

By the way, I think the Fight Pass is a great thing and 9.99 $ a month is more than reasonable for that platform. If it becomes available in my area I'm seriously considering subscribing. Does anyone know if there'll be a free trial after March 1?

From what I'm told, no, there won't be a free trial. The trail is basically a live beta test. The expected uptake in places like the UK/EU is going to be so small, they're seeing it as a case of "Those who want it will buy it, those who don't, wont" rather than a revenue-generating product for NA fans.

If you look at the schedule, there's only one FP exclusive event before March 1st anyway (last weekend's), so it's not like they're asking people to pay £5 individually for 3-4 cards.

Also, the US office apparently wasn't aware that UK/EU fans were being charged for last weekend's event until the last minute.

I've heard conflicting things about what's going to happen with Germany with regards to Fight Pass and FP exclusive cards. It seems strange to keep the free UFC.tv service, then charge you for FP.

They're also looking at 2015 now for a Berlin event.

I signed up for it and there is already a ton of content. Haven't had too many technical issues and from what hear it'll be on Xbox One and PS4 soon.

I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or not. There's A LOT of fights available online so I mean I can't see myself ever running out of things to watch on here. The ability to just throw on world class MMA like that pretty much whenever I want to is pretty cool. That said, I'm finding my attention span for watching old fights isn't as high as I thought.

It's pretty cool though for us North American fans.

But do you have to watch it live? Choosing your own content should not be a free service.

UFC TV support confirmed to me that they'll remain free

As it appears, they've changed their mind during the last week. Last Night's Rockhold vs Philippou and probably all the other Fight Nights are 8.99 $ for us now, haven't figured what they want us to charge for the PPV's but I don't think they'll be the same price as the Fight Nights.

Well that was easy :-D - The decision has been made to charge $5.99/$8.99(HD) for all 'free TV' cards.

PPV's will remain free, as of right now.

Interestingly, the UFC have been given the right to challenge the legal ruling that has kept them off TV in Germany, so you could well have events back on TV at some point in the future.

I enjoyed Undisputed 3 a lot as well. Thoughts on EA's MMA? Because the early buzz is that this new game is closer in feel to EA MMA than the last few UFC games. I'm so excited though can't wait.

Seems only logical. I played that game back in its day (shortly borrowed from a friend's review copy), but I found it somewhat inferior to the UFC games. Obviously the fact that the fighters were relatively unknown to me had a part of that. Other than that it wasn't 'bad' per se. Story mode was unappealing (well, the concept of the story itself at least). Didn't play it very long, but just watched a KO montage and the striking still seems ok at the very least. We'll see, but I too can't wait.

The last known MMA game (Bellator) I let pass, as Kung Fu Factory's last MMA game was average and devoid of content, and I feared this one would be the same + Bellator licence.
