Blackman
MMA is turning into the biggest trolling sport. If I oaud money on it, Id be outraged. Seems that their peak has passed now that the field has broadened. No more stars = no more pop gain. If they dont change their policy that is. Blodyxe
Elkins/Bektic fight was everything pro wrestling should be. Also Reem dropped Hunt with a legit GTS
Synticha
Damn Mighty Mouse is good! There really is no question about the current p4p #1!
Celuwyn
Joanna is really scary. She's the indisputed queen of the division. To me, Andrade was the only one who can beat Joanna, but to see Joanna get up from every BIG takedown from Andrade, and pick her apart with shots, body shot, head kick. She even tasted two - three power shot from Andrade like it was nothing.
Blackman
It was a nice fight to watch given the danger Andrade brought. She unfortunately fell into the trap instead of committing to brawls early, especially if you saw her close the distance easily on several occasions. If you take into account the punishment she endured during the fight, she could've realistically knocked her out in one of those wild exchanges. A pity for her, but she's still young. The main event was lackluster as it was just another Dos Santos cagerubbing KO. Unfortunate. It seems to be a problem/tendancy that is hard to mitigate through training. Stennick
Does he give up any winnings from the fight? I feel like that Jones/Brock fight might have been the biggest UFC buyrate of all time.
Blackman
Didn’t watch the show, but I wonder how they’ll treat Holm now. Her record now overshadows her status of Ronda-killer. She shouldn’t main event in a while.

I am excited about the new game though. Career mode looks a lot more polished and diverse so I can stop playing UT single player and play that several times. Just one month now and we should have 2 new Mma games.
Blackman
Didn't watch the card last night, but Dana White is blasing Yamasaki that he screwed up in the Shevchenko fight. Typical to move the blame to him. Why in God's name do you have arguably the best bantamweight fight some unknown girl I never heard about in a lighter division? If anything that makes her even more formidable. If we were to make this match in WMMA5 we'd have the athletic commission stop it from happening. Like I said: I didn't watch it, but as long as a fighter is still "in it" it shouldn't be stopped, even if they are out-landed 230 to 3. A match like that has no purpose except to keep fighters busy.

As for Machida: I still think "aura" in the game should be something like what Machida radiates. His opponents are sometimes (unjustly?) afraid to come at him because of his status as counterstriker.

That Shevchenko fight was just uncomfortable to watch, I have never gotten to a point while watching a fight where I am uncomfortable so this is an odd feeling for me. I do agree with you, it should have never even been booked but Dana is right Mario should have called it a lot earlier.

gingerdilligaf
Theres actually some very good fighters in ufc I think once people get over this Rousey,Mcgregor & Jon Jones hype they might realise it. Max Holloway,Yair Rodriguez,Poirier...the list will always go on & the ufc will always go on. Its time people realised the ufc is about matching up good fighters & who is on a winning run. It only lost its way when it became the 'notorious' roadshow.
gingerdilligaf
And the biggest worry is Mayweather wanting to fight in ufc with standup rules?Christ I hope its just a rumour because if a middle aged boxer only agrees to fight mma on his boxing rules I guess we see Mike Tyson as the new heavyweight champ of ufc by nxt year
gingerdilligaf
Derick Lewis. Boring yet devastating. If he does become heavyweight champion dont expect big ppv figures

Blackman
It feels bad that Khabib looked as the bully here, but obviously McGregor's pre-fight antics have gone way too far here, diving into political and religious themes. Masterful trashtalk, but it really wasn't necessary.

Blackman
ESPN reported that Tito Ortiz is going to face Alberto Del Rio at some point this year... Excuse me, this is the MMA thread, not the TNA thread. The UFC 239 card was good, but I'm not excited for the MMA summer. Holloway vs Edgar & Pettis vs Diaz seem to be the only fights I would be somewhat interested in.

It's so unprofessional given the frequency of fights and the amount of buildup the opponent basically did for nothing as the fight is obviously off now. It's not rocket science. I get trying to get the literal "biggest" advantage possible, but if you know you can't make it, you just go up. It's that simple. They're allowing for one pound above the cap, but some geniuses seem to consider THAT the actual weight limit and are cutting down to that amount, only to end up surprised if randomization knocks on the door. Unbelievable.

The Diaz fight was intriguing, even without the ridiculous "BMF" belt, but guess what happened? It's turning into a bigger circus than the WWE.
