The C-Verse Re-render Project

First, thank's to everyone for the honest feedback. I don't expect everyone to like all of my work. In hindsight I don't even like everything I've done. Getting honest and realistic feedback is the only way to improve.

Second, @the-619: I agree. As I said, I don't even like all of my renders. It wasn't until I attempted Big Smack Scott that I learned the proper use of lighting and surface modifications and I think that was at that particular point that my technique started to improve and my personal style started to develop.

Self has done one half of this.

Yes, but that half leaves someone wanting to give CGC the "character" it deserves with just another inexplicably bland and generic young Canadian in a company that, by all rights, should be USPW North.

Just a simple suggestion to yall render-making types, it'd be awesome to finally see Puma Boy after 6+ years.

Great Roxy Kitten's Sockpuppet. I think the pink haired one is my favorite.

Out of interest, do you do your work as full body rendered shots as well, or just 150x150?

Unless I'm doing a full body render, I do a full screen from the shoulders up then reduce the image size in Photoshop before I overlay it on the C-Verse background.

Ah okay, I was just curious since I've taken to doing 150x200 cuts for 9000-verse dynasty purposes, and have been considering doing a pack of c-verse stuff. (Plus the upcoming CBH game may see someone putting c-verse characters into a mod eventually :D)

I have to ask:

Why has no one here taken the time to re-make Grimm Quibble AND use that opportunity to throw his "Puma Boy" mask back on him?

Masks have never been my strong suit. I've experimented recently, with my Black Sheep and Badger Mask and now with some of the superhero stuff, but at the time I did Grimm masks weren't in my repertoire. Maybe I'll have a crack someday, but I'm not entirely sure what a Puma is (cat?) let alone have a concept for the design. More of a British farmyard animal sorta bloke.

P.S. Love the Roxy Kitten. Really struggled with her when I re-rendered the BSC girls. Great job.

These are awesome, the red/yellow haired one is my favourite and the last one looks exactly someone I know/knew.

It's a big cat (alternatively called a Cougar) that exists in America, looks a bit like a Lion without the poncey mane. Here's more info courteousy of a well known internet encyclopedia....

You can set the C-Verse background to be the background in Daz to save overlaying the image later on.

Pumas, are also known as Cougars, Panthers, Mountain Lions, Catamounts, even Painters.

But the wiki-link brings you to the proper animal (as I believe Panther is also applied to black leopards). They're almost the only extant big cat living in North America, with the exception being a handful of jaguars deep in the American Southwest.

Personally, I think we a need a character known as "Jaguar Mask", then we can start forming a stable based on North American cats. Unfortunately, Lynx only works in Australia, a continent that has no Lynxes, rather than any of the serveral that do.

So, obviously, "Puma Boy" would likely be similar to "Cougar Mask". Could make for an awesome tag team.

Besides, I heard a rumor that DD _might_ be getting an Annie Social makeover. :D (I was originally thinking Luna Vachon but I have other plans....*insert evil laugh here*)

Okay, thinking about it, that's a more versatile choice.

This is what the Yankees pay A-Rod $32 million a year to do.

Hit home runs.

That one there is a moonshot, steroid era Bash Brothers level. :)
