I don't know about controversial, but those are some very well established characters. my only comment would be that maybe you could lighten the grey tuft of hair on McFly since it's such an integral part of the original render.

 

The little spike probably isn't necessary, but a little more white/silver would make it pop more.

 

His face is top notch though; he looks tough and chiseled.

I think there's more talented artists now than at any other point in TEW history, and that's with some well established artists basically laying low.

This is probably my favorite Sean McFly yet. Those Rip Chords are top notch as well.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I've picked Sean's in particular to quote as it was exactly the look I was going for, and the fact that you (and PeterHilton) picked up on that is a huge compliment (for me, perhaps not for Self!).

Heh very well deserved and excellent look. She requires significant investment to get her to the point where she's useful (as a ref OR a manager/personality) but this render makes it a lot more attractive of an option. She actually kind of resembles WEW's ref, Isis.

Sara Silver's hair looks a bit messy to me. I can see how it's styled, and it's nice, but from that angle is looks all over the place. It's mainly that strand in the top right of the picture.

Yeah I can see that - it's only a free hair prop so it's far from perfect. Still, shouldn't take a second to erase that one strand, I'll do it later on today. Thanks for the suggestion Self.

I think I can take credit for that. Like 87% sure. Back when I was first doing alt pics, I enjoyed dressing up the NOTBPW guys, trying to give them personallity (this was before I realised they were supposed to be bland) and one of the things I did was put McFly in a Policeman's hat. I also dressed him up like a cowboy, but that never made it into the game. Quality was an issue back then.

I haven't had the best of luck via PM, so I'll try and go directly to the source. I'm working on a CVerse mod starting January 1st (see here) and I would like to include some of the new renders created by the marvellous artists in this thread but I'm not about to do so without the renderer's consent. Graphics aren't the main focus of the mod, the updated database is, but I feel that some updated pictures would add a great deal, especially with future versions of the mod in mind.

 

Jhd1 has kindly agreed to let me use his work already (thank you for that!), apart from him, the artists whose work I would most desperately want to use are J Silver, jtlant and Ewanite, so if you gentlemen read this, I'd be very very grateful if I could include some of your work!
