I saw the seasons are nice and short. That's right up my alley. But I just caught up to Justified and since I'm always late to the party I decided to try to watch "Lost" finally lol. so at this rate I should start watching Sherlock a good ten years from now :-)

They ran a Talking Dead like show after Sherlock over here and I have to say it is so odd to see Steven Moffat talk about anything other than Dr. Who.

Speaking of which I wonder if the fans are going to take to Peter Capaldi. The reason why I say this is because the newer Dr. Who fans tend to be younger and so they were more apt to associate with younger Doctors like Matt Smith and David Tennant (I guess Christopher Eccleston was slightly older but he was only around for one season and people did not really get into the new series until Tennant came along.). The newer younger fans have never really been exposed to an older (Though 55 is not old in my book, to someone in their teens or 20's well that is damn near ancient.) actor playing the Doctor. I wonder if the generational gap will hurt.

I have an excellent book on Arnold Rothstein somewhere. Can't argue he had a profound impact when you consider the 1919 World Series.... essentially ended the likes of Shoeless Joe Jackson's careers.

Currently watching a number of DVDs - House of Cards, Under the Dome, and believe it or not, old Cheers and Frasier episodes. Tops.

After going on a British TV kick after getting into the new Dr. Who it seems British TV is a lot less interested in looks then American TV audiences. In fact I would almost say a lot of British TV seems to go for the real people look over the model look of American TV. Which does concern me about how well the new Dr will go over in America. I know so many girls who talk about how cute Smith is and a lot of them seem to feel that way about Tennant too. I could see having an older Dr. causing some American Female fans to leave.

That was one of my favorite things about Luther. They made these people look like crap when they were on the trail of a tough case. They looked exausted, tired, pissy, in desperate need of a shower at times. Whereas you watch Lost and these people are supposedly without amenities for a length of time but they all look like supermodels somehow.

Nah, us Brits are just fugly :-p

I gave Arrow a go last week, and to be honest I'm really enjoying it. Didn't expect to at all, only started watching it as I'm in the middle of re-watching The Shield (how awesome is that show?) with the Mrs and I've not seen her for a week, so wanted something to plug the gap. Pretty impressed.

I never really read the comics, so didn't have any preconceptions about what the character 'should' be. It's not a great show by any stretch, but it's an enjoyable way to spend 40 mins if you're willing to switch your brain off. Mostly I like it because it's so, so much better than Agents of SHIELD, and has restored my faith that comic books can be adapted on the small screen. AoS is quite possibly the worst TV show I've ever watched.

But yeah, I'm about 15 episodes in, where he's just done the island mission with Deathstroke/Wade. Very much enjoying it.

BH I prefer Arrow to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well. Both have their fair share of cheese, but "Agents" is more dialogue heavy whereas Arrow is more action oriented and keeps a much faster pace. And this second season keeps having "holy crap!" episode cliffhangers. It's got that perfect balance of a little something to throw to the geeks while also telling a story within it's own universe so casual fans don't feel left out.

Manu Bennett is killing it as Slade too. That's one character I'm like, "They're never going to get this right" and sure enough that show has proven me wrong. Very badass. This is how you build an ultimate confrontation, TV show writers.

Next Monday is the long awaited How I Met Your Mother finale! Oh man it's going to be fun and sad at the same time. Hasn't been the same in three or so seasons but still a good show. Stretching the wedding for an entire season was not that riveting though..

The Blacklist continues to be great and the series is really starting to hit a strive. The leading lady acts better than the start of the season and they've even managed to build agent Don a bit. Mostly still just great story lines and ruthless criminals, but it works.

Also watched all of the episodes of the ridiculous Banshee series. It's a totally over-the-top, adrenaline, fight and sex filled but when I was sick had too much free time in my hands and ended up watching it. The setting and the story lines aren't much good but the characters are bad ass.

Wondering if any regular television watchers want to suggest any new shows? I usually watch sit coms but open to suggestions as long as it doesn't have any supernatural stuff. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Have you seen Brooklyn Nine Nine or Last Man Standing? Last Man Standing is a traditional style sitcom with Tim Allen. It's pretty fun and I like it a lot. Brooklyn Nine Nine is a comedy with Andy Samberg as a cop. It's hilarious.

Melissa & Joey is another traditional style sitcom I really enjoy, but it starts out really cheesy funny before really finding it's identity and being entertaining without the cheese factor.

Definitely going to check those out probably at an early convenience (tomorrow or the day after) since I have a lot of spare time on my hands now that school is over.
Mixed bag for me right now.

I'm very excited that The Walking Dead's season finale is sunday night... Only bad thing is, The Walking Dead's season finale is this sunday night, which means I'll have to go quite some time without any new Walking Dead episodes. The horror... the horror....

At least I know that Falling Skies will soon be back, so I'm of course looking forward to that.

I also liked the debut of Surviving Jack. It was set in the early 90s, and I'm kind of a sucker for that, so....
