milamber
Batman: Arkham City. wildly addicting stategic game. who else loves it? Bought myself a new PC with 2 GTX 680s earlier this year. Playing Arkham City maxed out in 3D is so much fun. Also just picked up FIFA 13. Spent a bit of time tweaking the sliders but I'm having fun. This is the game FIFA 12 should have been. Looking forward to Far Cry 3 and Dishonored.
bigtplaystew
Batman: Arkham City. wildly addicting stategic game. who else loves it? Great game all around! I love the stealthy stuff. I think it's amazing that they managed to tell a better Batman story than DC Comics has in years.
bigtplaystew
FIFA 13 is o.k. It's basically Fifa 12 with a few new things. In Manager Mode you get international team offers, and can manage your international club right through manager mode on top of your club team. I love that part. Blackman
PES 13 is awesome. But for some reason it isn't getting the love it deserved. Not that much added but good enough for me. Seriously, some goals I really have to hold in as it's so damn sexy. Almost took my package out to start whackin' it during the replay, but changed my mind as it would be inappropriate. bigtplaystew
Just popped in Forza Horizon. It's got great graphics. The technical presentation here is truly impressive. My only realy gripe so far is all the terrrible cutscenes furthering an unnecessary story. It's fun though. I'm not a hardcore car guy so I don't want to mess with tunings, but you never really had to in Forza. You could always just play that game straight up, on easier control settings if you wanted a bit more of an arcedy expereince, and that's basically how this game controls. I haven't seen any real tuning options, but it's as sim or as arcade as you make it. I can not stress enough how beautiful this game is. Jaysin
I know I'm pretty late to the game, but holy crap Dead Space is awesome. I was playing it in total darkness last night with my dog curled up in a ball under my blanket with me and when stuff started getting freaky, we both kept jumping. I don't scare easily, but man this game is pretty intense.

Fleisch
I've been playing Hitman: Absolution recently and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed. Sometimes it seems as though you have no option but to "run and gun" but once the enemies cut you down, you'll notice a different approach. It's a challenging game, but not so much that it becomes ridiculous and over the top in difficulty. I've also (late to the party I know) started Borderlands and have Borderlands 2 for after I finish the first. I like it, but I find it bloody hard to get to grips with. bigtplaystew
In my humble opinion, Borderlands (1 and 2) is only fun with other people. By one's self, it gets to be a boring, repetitive grind with rather dumb enemies that only increase in difficulty by taking more damage and dealing more damage. Though the "Boss" fights in Borderlands 2 are pretty cool. Bordrlands 2 is not a bad game by any standards, it's just not GREAT. I have a real hard time with it winnign so many end of year awards lately. Sure people have fun with it, but only if they play with friends. ANY GAME is infinitely better if you have the option of playing with people you like. So my suggestion would be to find at least one buddy who is looking for another playthrough and do it that way. For your sanity's sake. Hitman is a great game. I was really impressed with the visuals and the level design. But I always dug the Hitman formula: an intriguing puzzle to figure out the best way to kill someone lol. I just personally get a kick out of that. There's a PC game out called "Lucius" here you play a 6 year old possessed by the devil who must murder people along the way at the devil's orders. It's kinda "Hitman For Dummies" The puzzles are rather simple to figure out, I just got a kick out of the twisted storyline and the rather crazy death scenes. If you're into Hitman check that game out. It's got fairly low PC specs for a game released this year, so most PCs should have no problem playing it. Blackman
I can relate. I just played Borderlands 1, and it doesn't want to make me play the second one. Like bigt says: a repetitive grind without an interesting storyline to tie it all together. Plus: around that time I also played Fallout 3, which has the same setting and it just way better in all aspects. Anybody has some hints on good console games, lately? I completely lost track the last few months. I think I missed Halo 4, Dishonered, Dark Souls, Resident Evil 6,... Any of those worth getting? They are still kinda expensive at 30£. I guess I'll play the Skyrim DLC for now, and obviously TEW when it arrives.

bigtplaystew
<p>I have mixed feelings on Halo 4. For one, it's nintendo hard on legendary solo. Those glowy bastards appear squad deep and shoot you from all over. It's a sick challenge. And it has a killer story. If that's your bag, Halo 4 is worth it.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Ont he other end, I feel like the enemies aren't as intelligent as they were in Halo: Reach. They're just far cheaper. That disappearing and reappearing crap is just cheap on legendary, where those two shots that come from nowhere are enough to kill you.....</p>
Blackman
<p>I would only get it for the co-op experience of playing it with a friend. That's it. I don't care much for shooters. Perheps it's better for my wallet if I just get one of the earlier halo's. I played them all from 3 onward, but I forgot what happened anyways. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> But I guess I'll get Dishonered then. And can you believe I forgot AC3 in that list? Meh, who am I kidding, it'll probably lick balls.</p>
bigtplaystew
Assassin's Creed 3 is great. My beef with it is I don't feel liek that series has evolved too much in the last several releases. But I guess they go with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" format. Which makes sense, the game is solid and has a great story (assuming you've paid attention to the games previous)
Eidenhoek
WWE '12: I just simmed Rock vs. Austin in a 60-minute, pins only (considering there were no successful submissions, and easily 10 or so attempts, I assume), KOs allowed, no DQ, Falls Count Anywhere, with the computer on Easy. 33-31, Rock won. AND IT WAS IN THE NXT ARENA. Best main event ever.

Blackman
I presume he means 13. If the game means so much to you that you're on a wrestling board playing 60min matches, you'll shell out 20$ for it. And with the whole attitude theme, Rock vs Austin seems likely. And I actually liked the AC story. Haven't played the previous one so far (last one was brotherhood). Dunno if I'll ever play it, as it's starting to bore me. But the story alone, interesting as it may be, might not be enough to warrant a purchase. But I always wait till the next game goes for 15€ before I buy.
