I tend to use it. Voted for MLT to beat me, but only because I"m honest: my team is just AWFUL this year. Any time you're seriously considering John Kuhn, you know something has gone awry...

I've got a league running on Arian Foster and Peyton Hillis power.

 

I actually drafted Foster. Not only that, I started him week 1 and traded away Jamaal Charles for Anquan Boldin because I was so sure he'd be awesome. I haven't been disappointed yet.

Also, anyone want to explain why the West is so mediocre in our league as well? Or how Gator is in 1st place despite the fact he's being outscored and hasn't adjusted his roster in weeks (seriously..he has no K and his defense was on a bye and he still won) wtf???

He had no Kicker when he played me. I asked him about it and he said that the kicker doesn't really matter. Guess he was right. I can't seem to win in that league. I am however 5-0 in the other GDS league.

I sincerely disagree. It doesn't matter where you DRAFT a kicker...but there's no logical reason to throw points away for any reason...as a for instance Gator's one tie came because he had no DEF and no K.

 

If he loses out on the division because of that one game he'll regret it later.

True enough. I still think you're rationale on the K is faulty (even if a K misses a couple FG, at least he has a chance at scoring,whereas not having one on your roster gives you NO chance) but it's all for fun.

Kickers only lose points if they miss extra points or kicks under 20 yards and, in that case, I believe they only lose 1 point. Kicks made are at least 1 (XPT's) and 3 or more for field goals. 50+ yard field goals are 5 points, I believe. That's more than a passing TD. The chances of your kicker losing points overall is... slim...

 

Why have a RB or WR on your roster that you'll never use when you can just start an extra player? I have guys like Matt Bryant and Sebastian Janikowski in leagues who score 8-15 points every week. The worst you can do is a steady 5 points a week.

 

It's really a non-argument to say you don't want to lose points. You're losing points by not starting a kicker! If a guy manages to go out and miss 3 XPT's and not make a single field goal, then yeah. You lose 3 points. Has that EVER happened?
