Man, that is inspirational, especially as that's what I am (half failing, half achieving) attempting to do too. Started designing websites at a young age and them logos for this, and now I'm doing the odd web and graphic design job while I care for my daughter, just to help pay bills. Recently got done with a redesign of a website for a fairly big firm here in the UK (they work with X Factor, O2, even the WWE for their TV recordings here), so I'm on the right track I guess!

Hearing someone else went through pretty much the same route that I'm attempting to go is a great relieve in knowing that it's achievable.

Glad to hear its working out for you. I think Ze Frank once did an episode about being forced to constantly put your work out there rather than holding on it. These forums were my version of that I guess. You can't learn from your mistakes otherwise. So it really is a case of better every day.

Also I'm a big fan of the 'starting your own promotion' route and I know personally a good logo is often enough to get me excited about starting a new game, just as much as a good re-render makes me instantly want to sign them. So what I really want to do is get together some suggestions for a handful of promotions that would fit within the C-verse world, which would be interesting to play for a lot of people. Logos that would be beneficial for the whole community basically. To be clear, these would be suggestions, not a request thread nor a first come first serve basis. I'm not sure what format would be a better way to go about this, I could let people suggest things for a while and then put them all into some sort of vote site. That way we end up with a top 3 or so logos that more people really want. What do people think? (ideas about the format)</div></blockquote> Can definitely understand why there is limited appeal to doing custom requests. One possible approach would be stealing from what was done for the ThunderVerse mod, which is to do a few generic logos with random acronyms. Stuff that it would be easy to come up with a few different promotion names for.

Controversial, because of the initials involved that is.

It's called Wrestling World Empire. It's an idea that I've had for a while now, that I always wanted to put into place, should I ever become the undisputed, number one in the world, supremely dominant global promotion. Sadly, I haven't had that happen yet, but still the thought is there so I thought I'd mention it.

I've been trying to come up with a few other CornellVerse possibilities, but I think this is the only one I have for the time being.

Well then I guess it's probably time we open up this thread for suggestions then!

As previously stated this is not requests, it's not first come first serve, just suggestions for logos/promotions that would fit within the C-verse world which people might want to play as.

The suggestions will then be put into some sort of online vote system and the most popular ones will (probably) get made.

There's no hard rules on what you can suggest or how many, let's just keep it civil. Feel free to describe what the promotion is, or how you see a possible logo, but I do reserve the right that if it gets made I may end up going in a different direction with the art style.

One suggesstion would be National Championship Wrestling. It was the name of an efed that I was a part of, and the product of that fed was more of an ECW/DaVE style product, but it's similar to WCW in that its an accessbile name that wouldn't have to be changed when growing to a National or higher promotion.

Seriously though, I think the best suggestion would be to do a bunch of "generic" logos with common abbreviations for user created promotions.

Something I had planned on doing for the community was putting out several different templates and then they could just tell me what to fill in for text, colors and graphics.

So like, one template would be something like:

Initials: blue "BCW" moderny text

Top Text: blue text with "Big Championship Wrestling"

Bottom Text: "4 Life" in blue

Side icons: Choice of stars/skulls/middle finger etc.

Main Logo: Silver

Inner circle: yellow pokdots

I'd have all the illustrator templates ready to go to make it a quick process.
