Donte rocks him with some forearms, until he’s taken out by arm drags and a familiar looking double underhook powerbomb. “El Eet” delivers a beating, smiling an insincere smile and posing for the cameras, until Donte hoists him up for an airplane spin! 18 rotations! Big Lariat! 1... 2... Kick out. Dunn goes for Sunny Daze (Twisting Face Crusher) but Eet escapes and hits Natural Order... I mean a regular Leg Lariat. Instead of going for the pin, he goes for the all-new-super-special top rope leg lariat. Donte moves! Roll up! 1... 2... 3!

day it’s all down to Donte, and he just pulled off a big upset. I’ll give

him tonight to celebrate, but first thing tomorrow we’ll be back in the

gym, because the hard part’s still ahead of him. The ‘Chamber of

Horrors’ is one of the most difficult matches in CGC. You need fists

There aren't many people who follow college-level amateur wrestling these days, but those who do know exactly who Sean Deeley is. An Iowa City native who has been winning wrestling championships since he was eight years old, young "Shooter" was an animalistic force of nature on the mat, and a Coach's dream off it. Yet after becoming National Division I college wrestling champion in 2003 and 2004, Sean sensationally chose not to dedicate the next 3-7 years of his life to training for the Olympics. Instead, he signed for Canadian Golden Combat.

"i knew i was a great grappler. i wanted to test myself as an all around fighter."

Sean diligently worked his way through the ranks of CGC, impressing everyone with his technical abilities. Everyone except the Silent Threat; John Maverick, an accomplished grappler in his own right. Fans wanted to know which was the better submission artist, and in 2007 they finally clashed. Fans rejoiced when the youngster finally overcame the Silent Threat, but their joy was short lived as Adrian Garcia, seeing great marketing potential, seduced Deeley to replace Maverick in his Elite talent agency with promises of endorsements and corporate sponsorships.

It's hard to say whether being part of The Elite has ultimately helped or hindered Sean's career. On one hand, he was able to prove himself against top competition in Garcia's wars with Eric Tyler and the DeColt Family, and pick up numerous sponsorships and endorsement deals. On the other hand, he was frequently held back and used as a sidekick and gopher for Garcia's two main attractions; Eddie Chandler and Dan DaLay. Plus, those endorsement cheques don't look so big once Garcia takes his 'processing fees' and his '9.8%'. At his heart, Sean Deeley is a competitor, and he left The Elite and their cheating ways in October. What does Deeley's future hold? Perhaps a CGC World Title shot in the 'Chamber of Horrors'...

Deeley immediately goes for the arm, working over every joint, twisting it at unholy angles, until Zeus switches gears and rains down brutal left hands. Zeus attacks erratically, alternating between cruel strikes, furious slams and flashy submissions. Unsurprisingly, the submissions backfire, allowing Shooter to take control with brutal takedowns and animalistic slams. Zeus grabs Deeley by the throat and starts overpowering him towards the turnbuckle, but Deeley twists and turns and locks on the Seated Arm Stretch.

Davis Ditterich "He could have him here. Potion or not, Zeus has had troubles with the arm since the Ultimate Showdown Series!"

I was surprised that no one predicted Sean Deeley to qualify for the Chamber. I dunno, I thought he’d be a believable winner.

November is over to the loss of 64k. Not through lack of business. I fired someone and had to pay him off. You’ll probably hear about it in my End of Year reporting. Only 5 episodes to go. I always get excited in private games when I roll over to the next year, even though the way I book doesn’t seem to translate well into the Power500, and the whole mess makes me feel sad.

The Funtime Combat Kingdom have gone down to two shows a week for the winter months, so there were fewer skill increases there. It’s cool though. I’m not freaking out. Honest. Although now that you mention it, I am turning over a third of the development roster. Which is unrelated. I brought in a bunch of talented youngsters on three month deals, and now those deals are up. They’ll be replaced by some less talented (but taller) ex-models and bodybuilders.

Trent's face-run definitely isn't unsalvageable. I was fine with most of what he did until the assault on Faith, which was why I suggested the possibility of Faith actually working with Trent as a willing accomplice/sacrifice to help Joey.

That would have been a good idea. Maybe if you’d told Trent that a couple of weeks ago he’d already have the CGC World Title in his possession. If I could go back in time and change it, I know what I would have done... but it happened. Trent did what he did. I can only look forward now.

And hopefully (even though I'm sure you're not paying much attention to them) BHOTWG is still doing good business with the signings I made for them.

BHOTWG actually dropped to Cult back in October. Since then Dark Eagle has replaced Tasuku Iesada as booker. Of your developmental signings, Tsurayuki Kamachi seems to be doing the best, growing to D+ popularity throughout Japan and becoming a solid midcard act.

The thing is that Trent shouldn't have gotten the title when it came to the story anyways. We know Trent isn't the payoff unless you planned to give him a total personality change, and its no guarantee that you have another bullet in your chamber to make Trent an awesome face(I like to think you do though). If Trent kept his personality and got the title it'd lead back to him v DeColts and we already saw that, and its not like Elite when you can tell the same story a different way by reshuffling members.

Again, Trent is like a comic book rival to the Avengers/Justice League that sees a new kick-ass villain crew wreck the Avengers/JL, and hes kinda pissed that someone of his ilk completely stole his thunder, so he does bad things in the name of good so that he can be the only one to claim total mastery. Of course he fails because he can't properly exploit the enemy weaknesses, but he has to fail to give the heroes an opening or the story doesn't make sense, unless...........well I'm not gonna go further but someone can connect the dots.

For the record, my pick is Shooter Sean ending Poison's reign, but thats only because its what I'd do. I have my predictions on what you'll do Self but I've stolen enough thunder.

I'll leave a wall of text in the form of positive feedback on this diary in general later, as I only recently jumped on the bandwagon cause I didn't realize you were awesome.

It's just that I didn't think you'd stack the decks completely against Joey in the Chamber given who else has already qualified.. He already has 2 guys with personal grudges against his stable plus a DeColt protégé to deal with. Loving the fact that Warren Technique finally has something to differentiate him from your John Maverick character in FCK. Soothsayer & Poison vs Trent Shaffer & Christian Price The Trent/Price alliance will look strong to keep up the illusion that it will work......until the actual Chamber match itself, where Trent inevitably turns on Price. I think the identity of Soothsayer is going to be the key in determining who finally takes the belt off Poison. I mean, you had a segment where his masked was ripped off to reveal another mask. Either his identity isn't important and he's a deus ex machina to get Poison and Zeus heel or he's a big name. I vote for the latter.

I love the way you've been using Trent in general, he's been awesome and I hope that one day he gets the gold. Hey. Whoa. You want to talk about pawns? The guy who enlisted the

Soldiers of Fortune through fear? The guy who injected Zeus and

turned him from mighty hero into your whipping boy? Zeus, you do

know you don’t have to protect Poison in this match, right? You could

be champion yourself, if you wanted. </div>

Almighty Zeus pauses in his pacing, gazing at the CGC World Title in Poison’s hands. Joey quickly fumbles for a vial of potion.

Donte rocks the God of the Future with some forearms, until Zeus switches gears and lays him out with a Twisting Spinebuster! Zeus attacks erratically, alternating between cruel strikes, flashy submissions and furious slams, much to Joey Poison’s delight. Donte avoids a clothesline and hits some Jack-esque shoulder tackles! Airplane Spin! 15 rotations! Big Lariat! Joey's worried, but Almighty Zeus showcases Godly strength to power out of Sunny Daze (Twisting Face Crusher) and hit Thunder Bolt (Sit Out Bomb) 1... 2... 3!

Joey Poison is ecstatic, putting down his title to kick Donte while he’s down. The Almighty Zeus stares at the belt, face contorting with a thousand conflicting emotions, but settling on one. Desire. He reaches out for the belt, but Joey notices and frantically snatches it from his grasp. Zeus glares at him with pure rage, and a terrified Joey flees, hugging his CGC World Title tight.

Disgusted by the unstylishness of his opponent, Ozzie doesn’t want to lock up, or be anywhere near Ricky’s shiny head. Ricky gets angry and reckless, allowing Golden to counter a Running Bulldog into a back suplex. Ozzie delivers a beating until Ricky nails him with an epic dropkick, and starts throwing him around by his hair. “So over this” the pretty boy flees, but is wiped out by a plancha and thrown back in. DeColt 45 (Roll Inverted DDT)! 1... 2... 3!

Adrian Garcia “We'll see. Seems to me Trent Shaffer’s looking for a sidekick, not a partner.”

Price fails to guess the number Trent is thinking of, so begins the match. It doesn’t take a fortune teller to predict Price’s tactics, but he’s so big and strong he gets the better of Soothsayer. Trent occasionally tags in, but seems happy to let Price do most of the work. Soothsayer wriggles out of Price Check (TKO) and scores an Overhead Kick! Unfazed, unfeeling, unblinking, Poison takes Price apart with right hands.Price is too stupid to die however, and as the 16th minute approaches Poison begins to fade. Trent throws a handful of glitter into Soothsayer’s eyes, allowing Price to make the tag!

Poison charges, but Trent’s fast. Scary fast. He dropkicks the weak spot, and ruthlessly assaults it with sharp elbow strikes. Lungblower! Before he can make the cover, Soothsayer wipes him out with the Harbinger (Flying Flip Neckbreaker) but doesn’t see the Stud Stopper (Twisting Snap Powerslam) coming. Flying Forearm to Price from... yes... he’s Joey again. His eyes are clear and terrified as he grabs another vial of potion and-
