<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “We’re only halfway through the 2014 WrestleFestival, and so much has happened already. Jack DeColt alone has completed the Labors to take on Almighty Zeus. Trent Shaffer has turned on Christian Price. And Soothsayer has done something to Ricky DeColt, making him attack his older brother in last night’s main event. Why? How? I don’t know, but I don’t think we’re going to have to wait long to find out.”</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/banner5_zpsbd5b49b7.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

Who Rule?</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;">DECOLTS RULE!</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/AlexDeColt_S_zps33bed42d.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

ALEX DECOLT storms down to the ring, quickly picking up a microphone.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>ALEX DECOLT</p><p>

Soothsayer! You did something to my brother, and I want to know </p><p>

what! Get out here now! </p><p> </p><p>

Strange Chimes announce the arrival of SOOTHSAYER.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>ALEX DECOLT</p><p>

Where’s Ricky? I want to see him now!</p><p> </p><p>

SOOTHSAYER</p><p>

You’ll see him soon enough. I don’t know if this is any consolation to you, </p><p>

Alex, but you were right. There was something ‘different’ about Ricky</p><p>

once he drank my potion. Something dangerous. Something dark. </p><p>

Something the future could use. After all, that’s why I let him drink it.</p><p> </p><p>

ALEX DECOLT</p><p>

What have you done to him?</p><p> </p><p>

SOOTHSAYER </p><p>

I’ve prepared him. Prepared him for the future. So that when the sands</p><p>

of time finally wash away all of the relics of the past, Ricky DeColt will</p><p>

still have a place in CGC. As a loyal, subservient, instrument of my</p><p>

Champions. If you have a problem with that, you’re welcome to fight me.</p><p> </p><p>

ALEX DECOLT </p><p>

You’ve said yourself that pinning you solves nothing. I want more</p><p>

than that. I want to know who you are. I want to finally see under that</p><p>

veil of sorcery and look into the eyes of the man trying to destroy</p><p>

my family. I want your mask. </p><p> </p><p>

SOOTHSAYER</p><p>

Then come and get it.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

MASK VS HAIR MATCH</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>SOOTHSAYER VS ALEX DECOLT</strong></p><p>

<span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/Soothsayer_zpsada3052a.jpg</span><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2_zpsf88031f9.jpg</span><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/AlexDeColt_zpsb86889da.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “Last time a DeColt recklessly put his hair on the line against Soothsayer, we ended up with a bald Ricky. This may not be a smart move on Alex’s part.”</em></p><p> </p><p>

Alex surprises with the pure fury of his attack, as he assaults Soothsayer with less-than-precise punches. The masked mystery flees, but Alex follows him and the action spills into the crowd. Soothsayer manages to use obstacles (aka ‘fans’) and DeColt’s own recklessness to his advantage, but can’t keep Alex down for long. Precision punches countered by supernatural precognition countered by careful strategy countered by amazing agility countered by good old fashioned fury. </p><p> </p><p>

A sidestep sends Alex careening into a wall, allowing Soothsayer to pick him apart and bring the fight back into the ring, countering any and all comebacks with supernatural precognition. It doesn’t take Alex long to come up with a new strategy, going berserk with right hands and shoulder tackles, then switching to high-risk, high-intensity offense. Soothsayer anticipates the DeColt Driver (Straightjacket Drop) with an Overhead Kick and springs up top for the Harbinger (Flying Flip Neckbreaker) but Alex catches him! Delayed Suplex! DeColt Driver! 1... 2... 3!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>ALEX DECOLT WINS (14:54)</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “Alex did it! Soothsayer must unmask! We… We’re finally going to know who he is.”</em></p><p> </p><p>

The lights go out…</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/ricky5S.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

… and when they come back on, RICKY DECOLT is in the ring, staring at his brother with cold, dead eyes. On Soothsayer’s signal, he hits Alex with a Ripcord Lariat!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>SOOTHSAYER </p><p>

I’m a man of my word, Alex DeColt. I said you’d see your brother. Here </p><p>

he is. I said that my hands would bring CGC into the future. They did.</p><p>

I said I’d unmask if you beat me. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/SamaelBach_zps36bb05cf.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

SOOTHSAYER</p><p>

My name is Samael Bach, and I am nowhere near done with you, Alex DeColt.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/JoeyPoisonS_zps4b2c35df.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Microphone in hand, JOEY POISON heads to the ring, keeping his distance from the cold, dead eyes of Ricky DeColt and approaching Bach, looking at the now unmasked non-mystery with confusion.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>JOEY POISON</p><p>

Whoa. Hold on. First you bow down to that pretender God when he</p><p>

stole my title. Now you bring in Ricky DeColt? I thought I was the</p><p>

Champion of the Future! </p><p> </p><p>

SAMAEL BACH</p><p>

You were. When I looked into a future I saw a monster that would </p><p>

bring CGC to its knees. That job is done. This place will now be </p><p>

rebuilt... and you’ve become a relic of the past.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>JOEY POISON VS RICKY DECOLT</strong></p><p>

<span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/JoeyPoison_zps38e450f6.jpg</span><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2_zpsf88031f9.jpg</span><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/ricky5.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “Oh my word, what has ‘Samael Bach’ done to Ricky?”</em></p><p> </p><p>

Joey attacks, but nothing seems to work. A flurry of strikes doesn’t faze him. Flying Forearms are shrugged off. An attempted Antidote Web (Complex Cradle) is easily powered out of. Ricky takes Joey apart with right hands. Press Slam! Spear! He goes for the DeColt 45 (Inverted Roll DDT) but Samael shakes his head No. Obeying, Ricky hits the Ripcord Lariat! 1... 2... 3!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>RICKY DECOLT WINS (7:56)</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “Bach has a new monster, and it looks like Joey Poison has outlived his usefulness.”</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/banner5_zpsbd5b49b7.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

<strong>FESTIVAL GROUNDS - FOOD COURT</strong></p><p> </p><p>

EDD STONE is asleep in a Bumper Car (that somehow found its way into the middle of the food-court). The sun is shining. The birds are singing. The Bold Gendarmes are watching him. STUART KENT kicks the vehicle, waking Edd up.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>STUART KENT</p><p>

Look what we have here. Public drunkenness. Loitering. </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Sneering, GORDON MANN knocks over a nearby trashcan. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>GORDON MANN</p><p>

... and littering. You’re in a lot of trouble Mr. Stone. I’m afraid</p><p>

we’re going to have to run you in.</p><p> </p><p>

STUART KENT</p><p>

Of course, there is another option. Tonight CGC are holding a 20-man</p><p>

battle royal to determine the next challenger for the Canadian Title. If </p><p>

you were to help one of us win, maybe we could drop the charges. Send </p><p>

you back down to TCW without any ‘problems’. </p><p> </p><p>

GORDON MANN</p><p>

I trust we understand one another.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The Gendarmes walk away, leaving a baffled and still half-asleep Edd in his bumper car.</p><p> </p><p>

STRAIGHT SHOOTERS</strong></p><p>

John McClean & Sean Deeley</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “The visit from these TCW superstars has reunited Buff with an old tag team partner.”</em></p><p> </p><p>

The Shooters try to use their technical expertise, but the Texans are too big, isolating McClean with a flurry of axe-handle strikes. Pete works him over with body blows, while Buff overpowers him, eager to show Faith what a ’real man’ looks like. This proves to be his undoing. McClean makes the tag and Deeley attacks with brutal takedowns and animalistic suplexes on his larger foes. He latches onto Pete’s arm, twisting it at an unholy angle. Buff tries to help, but McClean cleans his clock! Texas Pete taps!</p><p> </p><p>

Gazing intently at the wonderful array of food trucks and eateries on site at the WrestleFestival’s food court, EDD STONE is hunting for spare change under benches, when ADRIAN GARCIA approaches, EL EET at his side. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>ADRIAN GARCIA</p><p>

Look, I know you’re under contract with TCW, but if you’re ever looking</p><p>

for an agent, I hope you won’t hesitate to call. Normally prospective </p><p>

GOLDEN PROFILE</p><p>

“The Starmaker”</p><p>

TROY TORNADO</p><p>

Age… 36 Height… 6’2 Weight… 252lbs</p><p>

Los Angeles, California</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCrare/TroyTornado_zps8c4c1a02.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Specialty Moves:</strong> Starmaker (High Velocity Flying Forearm)</p><p>

<strong>Combat Connections:</strong> Stevie Grayson (Ex-Partner)</p><p> </p><p>

For Troy Tornado, music is his life. Wrestling is a means to an end. Trouble is, he’s not much of a musician, and despite sending out hundred of demo tapes in his youth, his ‘unique’ brand of self-important emo-rock wasn’t selling. Luckily, he had two things he could use to pay the bills. A natural ability to kick ass, and a friend called Stevie Grayson who would help him make it to Total Championship Wrestling and, as the All-American Boys, become a merchandise sensation.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>“Selling all those baseball caps got me enough to buy my first tour bus.”</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Troy never forgot his dreams of being a rock star, however, and when wrestling/rock group ‘Painful Procedure’ were looking to replace Jack Bruce as their lead singer, he was quick to ‘audition’ by smashing a guitar over Stevie’s head. However, bringing in Tornado was the beginning of the end for the group. He became immediately drunk with power, and his lust for the spotlight, frequent mood swings and explosive Diva-like tantrums shattered the group. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>“In a band there’s always a star, and the star calls the shots. They</em></p><p><em>

forgot that.”</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

With his new solo album “Downpour” due to hit stores worldwide in April, Tornado has climbed aboard his gigantic tour bus, and made his way to a new territory; Canadian Golden Combat, to try to break the Canadian markets... and have a reunion with a certain ex-partner he hit with a guitar on his road to stardom.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/banner5_zpsbd5b49b7.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

<strong>TROY TORNADO VS STEVIE GRAYSON</strong></p><p>

<span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCrare/TroyTornado_zps8c4c1a02.jpg</span><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2_zpsf88031f9.jpg</span><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/StevieGrayson_zps673dbffd.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “They broke into this sport together as the All-American Boys, until Tornado smashed a guitar over Stevie’s head. That was many years ago, but tonight Stevie gets a chance for revenge.”</em></p><p> </p><p>

Stevie peppers his former partner with hit & run tactics, but his Tornado DDT is countered with a Northern Lights. Tornado rocks out, using his old partner’s body as his own personal drum kit, until Stevie ducks, dips, dives, dodges and hits the Tornado DDT! 1... 2... Kick out. Tornado answers with a eye-rake and a Starmaker (High Velocity Flying Forearm)! 1... 2... Kick out! Troy can’t believe it! Ignoring the referee, he grabs his electric guitar and swings for the fences... but Stevie ducks! Shades of Grayson (Moonsault Press)! 1... 2... 3!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>STEVIE GRAYSON WINS (12:44)</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Victorious, but far from finished, Stevie Grayson picks up the electric guitar, considers his options, and SMASHES IT OVER TORNADO’S HEAD! </p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Davis Ditterich</strong></em><em> “He’s been betrayed by every partner he’s ever had, but perhaps Stevie Grayson can finally put the first betrayal behind him.”</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/banner5_zpsbd5b49b7.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

EDD STONE finally has a hotdog. Tummy rumbling, he prepares to take a bite... but TEXAS PETE slaps it out of his hands, grabs him around the neck and slams him into a wall!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>TEXAS PETE</p><p>

Listen up, Pipsqueak. I know some of the CGC guys have tried</p><p>

recruiting you, but remember who you work for. These local varmints</p><p>

been making a mockery of TCW tonight, and I reckon it’s time we got</p><p>

I reckon it should be me. You’re gonna help. Got it? Good. </p><p> </p><p>

Several groups try to coax Edd Stone into joining their side, but the party animal drops to the ground, hugs the bottom rope, and holds on for dear life as 19 warriors start wailing on each other. Benson is tossed over the top rope, but holds on and, laughing his head off, springboards back in with a huge dive which wipes out most of the field. Except for Vin Tanner, who recklessly charges and pays for it (<strong>Elimination 1</strong>: Vin Tanner).</p><p> </p><p>

Seeker dropkicks Destiny in the back (<strong>Elimination 2</strong>: Destiny) Thomas sneaks up on Skip (<strong>Elimination 3</strong>: Skip Beau). I.Am.Buff powers out Black (<strong>Elimination 4</strong>: Nathan Black) Fate falls victim to Benson’s wacky antics (<strong>Elimination 5</strong>: Fate).</p><p> </p><p>

Sticking together, the Bold Gendarmes use trickery, deceit and teamwork to their advantage (<strong>Elimination 6</strong>: Warren Technique) (<strong>Elimination 7</strong>: Toma Toma) but meet their match in Prime Energy. Nelson keeps Mann busy long enough for Seeker to outmaneuver Kent (<strong>Elimination 8</strong>: Stuart Kent) only for El Eet to sneak up and dump Seeker (<strong>Elimination 9</strong>: Thrill Seeker)! Whippy plays the luchador for a fool with tumbling and mime tricks until Bobby Thomas saves his ex-partner by Super Kicking the clown out (<strong>Elimination 10</strong>: Whippy The Clown).</p><p> </p><p>

The massive Brett Fraser goes on a No Nonsense spree (<strong>Elimination 11</strong>: Shane Nelson) (<strong>Elimination 12</strong>: Akima Brave) (<strong>Elimination 13</strong>: Gordon Mann) until everyone else left in the ring gang up on him and throw him out (<strong>Elimination 14</strong>: Brett Fraser). </p><p> </p><p>

<em><strong>Donte Dunn</strong></em><em>"What the WHAT???"</em></p><p> </p><p>

Some of the TCW fighters are equally confused. Key word? Some. Edd SUPER KICKS Texas Pete! Benny SUPER KICKS I.Am.Buff! Hogg dominates Chandler with drunken thuggery, before DaLay and Lead size each other up and kick off a Test of Strength for the ages. To DaLay's shock and Garcia's horror, the drunken biker seems to be winning... when Chandler rushes in for the cheap shot. DaLay takes great pleasure in bullying the apparently stronger man around the ring, while Chandler grinds him into the mat, thrusting his hips to make the manly biker panic. A sudden belly-butt gives Lead the space to make the tag, and Grease Hogg unleashes the drunkenest thuggery every witnessed, battering the Elite pillar to post. Grease Spot (High Knee) to DaLay! Chandler lays him out with a backcracker! Lead hits the RPM Bomb (Spinning Crucifix Toss) on Chandler and- BACKFIST! Lead Belly is out cold. Hogg lines up for another Grease Spot, but Garcia holds onto his leg, allowing DaLay to hit a big boot and hoist him up for the Elegant Demise (Assisted Belly to Belly Piledriver)! 1... 2... 3</p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Which TCW star made the biggest impact? Benny Benson, Edd Stone, Texas Pete or Troy Tornado?

Both Benson and Stone. The ending to the battle royale sealed it, they helped Thomas become the new man.

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?

I'd have never pegged it to be Bach, given how early the character was introduced. My jaw hung slightly when I seen it was though. I'm looking forward to this new venture.

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated?

Stevie Grayson finally getting his own back was pretty freaking sweet. It's like if Sting had a spine. :p

Awesome Wrestlefestival this time around. It is good to see the DeColt family seem vulnerable and it is a pleasant surprise to see Sammy as Soothsayer. I don't comment as much as I used to, but I am really liking the direction you are going. A shame that Joey is going away, but you have enough talent to make up for it.

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?</p><p>

I don't have the most knowledge of the C-verse, but I didn't think it was Sammy Bach at all. I'd like to see where you take this since he traditionally has a rock star gimmick (I think).</p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated?</p><p>

I thought WrestleFestival was great. I'm glad Zeus retained and the DeColt's are still chasing. It will be interesting to see if they will overcome (as they traditionally do) or another face rises up to challenge The Future. I also like how WrestleFestival is a two day long story. It's a supershow. EDIT: Also as MichiganHero said, having Stevie crack Tornado over the head was a great touch.</p><p> </p><p>

I will miss Joey Poison, he was a great addition to the story. Hopefully he can keep up in NOTBPW. I'm assuming his skills have increased in CGC since he was paired up against the DeColts a lot, but he's probably not the strongest in the technical categories.</p>

Tie between Edd Stone and Benny Benson since they determined the outcome of the battle royal. Did not see that coming btw.</p><p> </p><p>

Bach is talented and all, but I'm shocked it wasn't someone with a personal connection to the DeColts. A threat like that, I felt like it was a vendetta. But, I'm interested to see how it ends up.</p><p> </p><p>

I loved Ricky laying Alex out at the end of Day One because it's truly a turning point for the promotion. I miss Price/Trent dynamic duo, but I didn't hate the turn.</p>

<em>To choose just one, Benson's was the more shocking to me, since it was pretty clear that you were planning something big for Edd, so while I didn't exactly expect his alliance to be with Bobby Thomas, I expected him to be in some major plot twist in the battle royal (just that I thought Edd would be the leader/central character instead of Bobby). There was nothing about Benson's scenes or character prior to this to indicate that his appearance was going to be more than that exhibition match.</em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?</p><p> </p><p>

<em>More on that later.....</em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? </p><p> </p><p>

<em>The Stone Trainees Stable reveal. 4 men trained by the House of Stone joining forces and going after a title held by the DeColt trainee, there's a sense of "invasion" from the rival company despite not having a single actual NOTBPW worker in the stable. Love it. And the fact that Bobby Thomas is finally more than just a hired gun and jobber-to-stars (even though I do love his role as the all-business hired gun).</em></p><p> </p><p>

Or a moment you hated?</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Not exactly a moment I </em><em><strong>hated</strong></em><em>, but Soothsayer reveal, which seemed to be the vital central plot for months, felt underwhelming and under-hyped (which is my reply for Question 2). I don't think it's the results, nothing wrong with Bach being the man, but like someone else stated previously, I was surprised this wasn't heavily hyped before the event if it was scheduled to happen on the biggest event of the year. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

I'm not just talking about the match not being announced beforehand, but how sudden the angle itself came about. Yes, Soothsayer's identity was a constant mystery, but the onscreen speculation about his identity has been dropped for a while, and I was rather expecting it to be at least constantly brought up again in the weeks leading to the reveal, so it felt to me like the match and the reveal came out of nowhere. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

And there was no mention from Alex or Soothsayer abut the former putting his hair on the line. </em><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

QUESTION: Which TCW star made the biggest impact? Benny Benson, <strong>Edd Stone</strong>, Texas Pete or Troy Tornado?</p><p> </p><p>

Edd Stone only because he orchestrated the entire ending to the battle royal which I really liked.</p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?</p><p> </p><p>

I like it and I can't wait to see where it will go. He was the last person that I thought it would have been because I thought it would have been interesting if it was George DeColt himself but I guess I was wrong this entire time.</p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated? </p><p> </p><p>

Favorite moment had to be the reveal of Soothsayer. As for a moment I hated well I really didn't hate anything but my least favorite was that El Eet didn't win the battle royal.</p>

Brett Fraser & Vin Tanner vs Dirty White Boys

QUESTION: Which TCW star made the biggest impact? Benny Benson, Edd Stone, Texas Pete or Troy Tornado?

Edd made the biggest impact, but I think the story with Tornado was my favourite one. I like where you're going with Stevie Grayson, who I have never ever cared about in the history of ever, so kudos there. Grayson getting some measure of revenge for all the betrayals he's faced should be fun. If only you can steal Wolf Hawkins now. :p

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?

I was surprised you went with the reveal and surprised at who it was. I had originally thought it was going to be someone like Jacob Jett, but I was obviously wrong with that one. Looking forward to seeing where it goes, loving the way Ricky has become corrupted and I genuinely thought Joey Poison was about to turn face... shame he's heading to NOTBPW, but at least he'll be making lots of cash there.

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated?

Edd Stone, as always, was awesome. I liked Stevie getting revenge on Troy from back in the day, looking forward to more of that. Ricky turning evil was awesome too, though I kinda assumed he would eventually anyways. Even so, great to see. :D

It's a cult thing. I started with a Cult company and when TCW fell down to Cult I was able to steal a lot of their guys for that same reason offering the lowest Written contracts I could.

<p>CGC Canadian Title Match: <strong>Bobby Thomas</strong> vs Donte Dunn ©</p><p>

<em>- I can almost see Thomas not winning this after his rather brilliant Battle Royale reveal, but he needs to be seen as a Strictly Serious Bobby Thomas so give him a belt.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Brett Fraser & Vin Tanner vs <strong>Dirty White Boys</strong></p><p>

<em>- Definition of an old school slobberknocker.</em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Which TCW star made the biggest impact? Benny Benson, <strong>Edd Stone</strong>, Texas Pete or <strong>Troy Tornado</strong>?</p><p>

<em>- Stone for his midway antics... just the vignettes made me grin.</em></p><p><em>

- Tornado for laying down for Stevie and making Stevie one of the two faces to come out of WrestleFestival on a winning note. (Price being the other.)</em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?</p><p>

<em>- I don't share the disdain for Bach's overuse, as I don't read as many dynasties, but simply redubbing him Samael means I'll give it a chance. Goth rock star to delusional prophet? Not a large leap at all. It is where the Future goes from here that will decide how Bach in CGC is remembered.</em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated?</p><p>

<em>- Favourite moments? Day 1, DWB's over the Gendarmes - because DWB's clips on getting to the show were fantastic.</em></p><p><em>

Day 2 - A tie between the ending to the Battle Royale and Price's midgets to the match with Trent. Right now, CGC needs some strong faces. Currently Grayson and Price have the most momentum.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Hated? Probably the fact that it seemed every match on Day 2 seemed to end in swapping finisher after finisher. A bit more... variety to the endings? A struggle to hit a certain move or something. I'm nit-picking, but I was nearly burnt out after reading both days.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Having said that, it was an excellent (if exhaustive) set of shows and CGC really needs at least an extra half out to flesh out all the undercarders so that characters have chance to resonate with the readers... and give you more options for 'step-up challengers' for main events. (Like Thomas or DWBs.)</p>

<p><strong>QUESTION: Which TCW star made the biggest impact? Benny Benson, Edd Stone, Texas Pete or Troy Tornado?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

If this were a question of 'favourite', my answer would be very different, but it's not. So I'm going to make a bit of a different answer, and say Troy Tornado. Why? Because he put over Stevie Grayson, live on PPV. Stevie is often dismissed as a has-been, ditched by his former partners who then go on to greater things. Now he's claimed both a world title and beaten as top-level star from the #2 American promotion. Putting over guy like that? That's a big impact.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

A bit ambivalent. He'd been under the mask for long enough that I'd have made his identity more of a thing. On the other hand, I love Sammy Bach, I love his creepy cult-leader persona, and I have no doubt that being revealed will do nothing to lessen his status as one of the best villains currently being written.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated?</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Not hated as such... it sucks that Poison's leaving. My favourite moment is actually the battle royal - I'm a sucker for a well-booked battle royal.</p>

Brett Fraser & Vin Tanner vs <strong>Dirty White Boys</strong></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Which TCW star made the biggest impact? Benny Benson, Edd Stone, Texas Pete or Troy Tornado? Edd Stone and Benny Benson. I'm really looking forward the House Of Stone 2001 class reunion and Edd is always Edd!</p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel? Good. A great choice in Sammy Bach, that leads to a feud between the two CGC greatest minds, him and Alex DeColt, or more expanded, The DeColts versus The Future Gods. </p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated? Thumbs up: Stevie Grayson getting over Troy Tronado, Soothsayer unmasked, Price vs Shaffer. Thumbs down: Joey Poison leaving a big hole in your babyface side.</p><p> </p><p>

Some extra thoughts:</p><p> </p><p>

It's time to push Deeley, The Reel Deel.</p><p> </p><p>

Bach's future will fall under the hands of... Edd Stone or... Ricky DeColt. </p><p> </p><p>

Elite, even with the Tag Gold in their hands it seems, momentum wise, a third string heel stable, behind Bach's Orchestra and the Stone Graduates.</p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">The vignette's you did with the DWB have been awesome, and while Fraser is cool Vin Tanner is just old.</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Which TCW star made the biggest impact? Benny Benson, Edd Stone, Texas Pete or Troy Tornado?</p><p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">I'm going to go with Troy Tornado here because I enjoyed his douchebag rockstar persona and more importantly he ended up putting over Stevie Grayson. I love how you've pushed Stevie Grayson as a top guy and even put the main title on him, even if it was only to set up Zeus's return.</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Soothsayer has been revealed. How does that make you feel?</p><p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">I don't know, the mysterious Soothsayer gimmick was getting a bit old, so it was about time for a change and I'm looking forward to seeing where you go from here.</span></em></p><p> </p><p>

QUESTION: Do you have a favourite WrestleFestival moment? Or a moment you hated?</p><p>

<em><span style="font-size:8px;">Stevie Grayson getting revenge on Tornado would have to be my favorite moment. I didn't hate anything, but I am sad to see Joey Poison go. Now we can't have the story arch where Joey turns face and realizes he didn't need the drugs; he had the power within him all along.</span></em></p>

Lighting bolts strike all four ringposts. The CGC World Champion, ALMIGHTY ZEUS has come, positively twitching with barely contained power. RICKY DECOLT follows in a trance. Expressionless. Emotionless. Staring ahead with cold, dead eyes and obeying the orders of the unmasked soothsayer, SAMAEL BACH, to the letter.

SAMAEL BACH

My name is Samael Bach, and once upon a time I was lost, adrift in

a sea of decadence and excess. Until one day I looked up to the sun

and the stars and I saw the future. I saw CGC. I saw what it was

destined to become. The future whispered to me through the sands

of time and asked me to be its Soothsayer. By my hands, the relics

of the past would be washed away, and new champions would rise

in their place.

I hid my face because my face wasn't important. Only the message.

"The future is coming". Now the future is here. Joey Poison brought

CGC to wrath and ruin and will forever be remembered as a martyr

to the cause. Almighty Zeus shall rebuild CGC as the future foresaw.

Ricky DeColt shall serve the future as its most loyal soldier.

WHO RULE?

DECOLTS RULE!

Here come the other DeColts. JACK DECOLT paces, beyond furious, while ALEX DECOLT is far calmer, carefully watching his spellbound brother in the ring.

JACK DECOLT

Ricky, I know you’re in there. I know you can hear me. You have to fight

this. You’re a DeColt! No potion can control you.

ALMIGHTY ZEUS

You speak as though the Soothsayer’s sorcery has changed your

pitiful brother, when it has merely unleashed his true nature. Ricky

has always bowed and worshipped at your feet. Now his eyes have

been opened, and he bows to a true God. Ricky! Bow to your

Champion.

Expressionless, emotionless, and without objection, Ricky bows.

ALMIGHTY ZEUS

Good. Now kiss my feet.

JACK DECOLT

Don’t you dare! You think you can get away with this? You think you

can use your magic on a DeColt? Think again! You want to take this

war to the next level??? You’ve got it. Tonight! Me and Alex against

Zeus and Samael!

SAMAEL BACH

That’s a lovely idea, Jack, but I’m afraid that’s not how things work any

more. Your brother Ricky is a part of the future now. If you want to fight

Zeus and I, you’ll have to fight him too.

That shut Jack up. He can’t bring himself to-

ALEX DECOLT

If that’s the way it has to be, so be it. You can bring your new monster,

and we’ll find our own partner and make it a 6-man tag. Last year you

put Joey Poison under your potion’s spell, and at the end of the day we

found a way to beat him. This isn’t going to be any different. See you

in the main event.

Age… 38 Height… 6’1 Weight… 239lbs

Hamilton, Ontario

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/BobbyThomasSt01.jpg

Title History: 5x CGC Tag Team Champion. 1x CGC Canadian Champion

Specialty Moves: Specialist Touch (Single Arm DDT) St.01 Ankle Stretch, Super Kick

Combat Connections: Nate Johnson (ex-partner) Art Reed, Benny Benson, Edd Stone (old friends)

In the year 2000, the Stone Family held an intensive training camp to create the next generation of world class wrestlers. Unlike most of the students, who came from a variety of athletic fields, Bobby Thomas was already a professional wrestler. Just not a very good one. For two years he had toiled on the Canadian independent scene, working hard but lacking knowledge. Knowledge he would pick up under the Stone's banner.

“I knew the Stones wanted fresh clay to mould, so I kept my previous

experience secret. Until an offer from Canadian Golden Combat made

that impossible.”

The Stones took the lying as a sign of disrespect, and as torturous as the workouts were for the other students, Bobby's were doubled. When he won the CGC Tag Team Titles (in the beginning of an illustrious tag team with Nate Johnson) they tripled. The initial jealousy from the other trainees soon gave way to pity, then respect, for a guy who could have walked away at any moment.

“I couldn’t have survived without the others. Art Reed was the first to join

me in doing the extra “Champion workouts”. Benson could always make

me laugh just when I wanted to throw in the towel. Plus a certain teenage

Stone would sneak me water when his brothers weren't looking.”

After he split from Nate Johnson, Bobby took on a very blase attitude towards the sport, proclaiming it 'Just Business' and doing pretty much anything for money. Besides a short Canadian title run in 2010, he’s gained little in the way of glory. With his old training school friends once again banding around him at this year’s WrestleFestival, could all that be about to change?

DONTE DUNN ©

Davis Ditterich “Bobby won this title shot at WrestleFestival, thanks to some help from his old friends.”

Black trunks. Black boots. Black hearts. The Brotherhood of St.01 are out in full force. Art Reed whispers tactical advice in Bobby’s ear, while Benny Benson cackles insults at Donte. Edd Stone absently fiddles with his gear, unaccustomed to the plain black trunks.

Donte attacks with forearms, until an Art-istic distraction allows Bobby to attack his leg with a methodical barrage of stomps. Donte fires up! More forearms! Sunny Daze (Twisting Face Crusher)! Benny distracts the referee to prevent the count, so Donte shoves him off the apron and tries the airplane spin. He only manages 2 rotations before his leg gives way. SUPER KICK! St.01 Ankle Stretch! Donte screams in pain. He fights. He struggles. He taps!

NEW CHAMPION: BOBBY THOMAS (7:45)

Do whatever you want to Zeus and Samael, just leave Ricky to us.

We can still get through to him, I know we can.

STEVIE GRAYSON

Davis Ditterich “Jack DeColt clearly doesn’t like the idea of fighting his younger brother, spellbound or not, but Alex agreed to this match. Time for the DeColts to get some payback for WrestleFestival.”

Alex & Jack quickly isolate Bach and with classic double teams. Stevie lends a hand, but is cheap-shotted by Zeus. The Future go to work. The CGC World Champion beats his former partner down with utter contempt, while Bach stops any-and-all attempted comebacks with supernatural precognition. Ricky tags in. Unfeeling, unblinking, he obeys Bach’s commands and destroys Stevie with right hands, as his brothers fail to get through to him from the apron.

Stevie ducks, dips, dives, dodges and makes the tag! Jack goes berserk on Zeus with right hands and shoulder tackles. He Punches! Bach! In! The! Face! but can’t bring himself to strike his little brother, who presses Jack overhead, drops him hard, and impales him with a Spear! Alex pushes emotions aside and throws precision punches at Ricky’s right collarbone. No effect. No weak spot. Press Slam! Ricky spears Alex out of the ring!

One-against-two, Stevie ducks Bach’s Harbinger (Flying Flip Neckbreaker) and slips free of Thunder Bolt (Sit Out Bomb)! Shades of Grayson (Moonsault Press) on Zeus! 1... 2... 3!

ALEX, JACK & STEVIE WIN (15:17)

Davis Ditterich “Stevie just pinned the CGC World Champion. I know technically he’s a former champ himself, but I call that an upset! Zeus will not be happy!”

The return of Golden Profiles. I’d do more of them, but I’ve genuinely lost track of who I’ve done them for. I was halfway through writing a Stevie Grayson one... when I got the strangest deja vu. If I ever figure out who needs profiles (and with 3 Brotherhood members and Soothsayer’s unmasking, the list is already pretty long) I may do more.

Notices an issue with Ricky DeColt's new picture. Background is a different shade of blue. No clue how that happened. I didn't play with the hue or saturation at all.

I like it and I can't wait to see where it will go. He was the last person that I thought it would have been because I thought it would have been interesting if it was George DeColt himself but I guess I was wrong this entire time.

I would have loved that. It would have been cool if Soothsayer was revealed to be someone intrinsically connected to the DeColts, but... he wasn’t. It’s not a Black Scorpion deal where I decided who he was when I unmasked him. I guess in theory he could have pulled off the mask and been Edd Stone, but Bach did all the hard work for the past year. It literally was him performing under the mask... and Edd struggles to tell time, let alone predict the future.

I like where you're going with Stevie Grayson, who I have never ever cared about in the history of ever, so kudos there. Grayson getting some measure of revenge for all the betrayals he's faced should be fun. If only you can steal Wolf Hawkins now. :p[/i]

Hmm. I do have a deal with TCW.

It's a cult thing. I started with a Cult company and when TCW fell down to Cult I was able to steal a lot of their guys for that same reason offering the lowest Written contracts I could.

I checked. They were indeed Cult for a while, but no longer. TCW shot back up to National just days after signing Edd to a PPA. I may have been really lucky with the timing there.

Having said that, it was an excellent (if exhaustive) set of shows and CGC really needs at least an extra half out to flesh out all the undercarders so that characters have chance to resonate with the readers... and give you more options for 'step-up challengers' for main events. (Like Thomas or DWBs.)

It's hard enough finding material for 60 minute shows. I think adding 50% runtime would at least double the amount of time it takes me to get these shows finished and posted. While I don't think I've nailed it yet, I still believe in the revolving door of relevancy. Where certain characters become relevant for a few months, then drift off to vacations/pre-shows for a while, then come back in fresh and fun. Like the Elite Prospects. Fraser & Technique aren't relevant right now, but I had fun with them in that story, and they'll likely become relevant again. I can't write for all of the guys all of the time. I'd get sick of them.

It's time to push Deeley, The Reel Deel.[/center]

No it’s not.

Elite, even with the Tag Gold in their hands it seems, momentum wise, a third string heel stable, behind Bach's Orchestra and the Stone Graduates.

They just finished a feud with the DeColts! Granted, it wasn't my best writing (very disappointed with what I wanted to be a heated, rivalry to fundamentally alter both Ricky and Chandler) but they were consistantly involved. I do admit The Elite seem to suffer more than most when it comes to the above-mentioned revolving door. They're 'supposed' to be main characters, right? So any time they're not there, it's odd.

We'll just see who the third string heel stable is.

Looking forward to seeing where it goes, loving the way Ricky has become corrupted and I genuinely thought Joey Poison was about to turn face... shame he's heading to NOTBPW, but at least he'll be making lots of cash there.[/i]

Stevie Grayson getting revenge on Tornado would have to be my favorite moment. I didn't hate anything, but I am sad to see Joey Poison go. Now we can't have the story arch where Joey turns face and realizes he didn't need the drugs; he had the power within him all along.

Joey turning babyface did seem like a logical direction for his character to go (especially given the roster imbalance) but frankly he’s been a rather cowardly little shit for the past year. I’m not sure whether he would have been able to drum up the inner strength to do it. I’m not just saying that to badmouth the competition (Sean McFly is poopy) but to me, Joey’s cowardice was as important as aspect as Jack DeColt’s anger, or Trent love for the CGC Title. It was never at the forefront of what he was doing, but it’s something I enjoyed thinking about when I wrote his scenes.

That's the real bummer about losing Joey. Not that he had B+ popularity. That I felt I understood him. The first thing he did in this project is turn from Eddie Chandler in disgust (homophobia is fear). He's clearly in love with Faith, but is too afraid to do anything about it. He drinks the potion out of fear he can't compete. He had a good chance to turn when Zeus replaced him... but didn't, because he was surrounded. Could Joey have eventually overcome his fear? I don't know. I guess we never will.
