January 1997: A year focused on War

Getting ready to upload the latest of the data, ECW have working agreements with FMW and M-Pro, JC Ice and Wolfie D are in the WWF and part of the NOD, however Crush is not since he didn't join until mid january. Relationships changes have been done as well as adjusting some weight issues, will be uploaded within the next 5 minutes.

 

On that note, you have Savage in the nWo, but he didn't join until SuperBrawl, which is in February.

 

At least I'm pretty sure that's when he joined. He left WCW after Halloween Havoc 1996 and didn't come back until January. I don't remember if he was a heel or a face in January, but I'm pretty sure he joined when he helped Hogan at SuperBrawl against Piper.

Savage was hanging around with Sting during that time. He was "suspended -story line" unless he joins the nwo. He did turned and joined the nwo at SuperBrawl.

Well spotted, must have got ahead of myself putting him in the nWo early, he was still a face at this time and appeared most weeks with Sting until turning and joining nWo at SuperBrawl. Changed him to a face and removed him from the nWo in the newest data which has been put in the first post.

<p>Having a lot of fun with this mod (so much so that I'm considering using it as a diary game), having booked almost the entire month of January in 2 days! Royal Rumble was a fairly close recreation of the real thing (the only big difference being that I had forgotten to bring in the luchadors for the six-man tag). On the back of that show, however, I used the editor to reduce Shawn Michael's lifestyle percentages. I realised he had a pretty high drinking stat when his pre-match promo and post-match celebration only graded a C+!</p><p> </p><p>

I ended up signing Working Agreements with CMLL and AAA in order to bring in the likes of El Pantera and Perro Aguayo who were apparently wrestling on RAW during 1997.</p>

If I want to simulate Stings absence how exactly should I set-up his "injury file". I set him up to be available for angles but when I try to book him in certain angles (I think ones where he is on-screen) it says he is unable to be booked in that angle even though I have selected him from the drop-down menu. Is the only way to simulate it (if I am WCW) to keep him active and just not book him in matches. Will he develop ring rust if I use that tactic? Should I book him in some dark matches every now and then? My goal is to build to Starrcade like WCW did without him wrestling but being able to be on-screen and stalk Hogan late in '97 and get physically involved in angle a few times. All the while I want his momentum to keep escalating and hopefully for him not to have little ring rust... Is that possible in TEW?

For example, you couldn't use Major Concussion as it "Prevents Any Participation". However, after a quick look through, it appears the 1997 mod uses an injury file that only has "Can Be Worked Through" or "Prevents Any Participation" set. What you'll need to do is either import an injury from another mod, create your own or edit one of the existing injuries so that you select "Prevents Wrestling".</p>

I will try it again but the injury file I used is selected as "Prevents Wrestling". Would not having a push keep him from appearing on screen? That is the only thing I can figure since he already has an injury that meet the specs you noted above.

Yes, you'll need to give him a push (doesn't really matter what it is, but Road Agents are a pain to find in angles so I'd avoid that one). Thanks for helping out with how to simulate the Sting absence off television jhd1, and in regard to the avatars question I didn't create any because 1) I thought if anyone wanted to use one it would be their own which they created and 2) I honestly thought since we can now be people from in the game world that no one used avatars anymore, I certainly haven't and haven't had any requests to include them in mods but I may put some in the next one if they are wanted.
