Adam Ryland
I love how they have the audacity to tell you the CPU is on level playing field with you It's not being audacious, it's the truth - the AI and human use exactly the same piece of code for working out what happens, and the game has no knowledge of who made what selection. There's no cheating, no "blocks", no "game refuses to let me do X" - they simply don't exist! It was the same in WreSpi1, and it will be the same in WreSpi3. The Calculations button has been added precisely so people can see this and, hopefully, better understand how probability works.

DiablomanConQueso
wrespi III Methinks I am excited for Wrespi III, Wrespi II brought me into the GDS fold so I am excited for this one coming out. Also wanted to throw out a little wishlist * Botched Move probability * Bump options (bump hard, oversell , overprotect) to add to the co-operative portion of wrestling * Optional Match Goals (Get B quality match in 13min, lose via finisher, use 80% power moves ) * Road Agent feedback on match quality to provide tips to improve. TLCJR4LIFE
I mean this in the nicest possible way, but when others can understand the calculations behind Wrespi 2 and have success in the game... Perhaps you should start thinking "maybe it's me?". It's not like I lose all of my matches. I win about 80 percent of them it's just the 20 percent I lose is usually the computer spamming Enzuguri Kicks(Im Misawa in D.O.T.T...everything has Enzurgi Kick or some reason) and other moves at empty momentum and somehow hitting them after countering all of my attempts to gain momentum for a finish. They basically turn into Hulk Hogan and go into an unstoppable 3 moves of death. (Enzuri Kick to the Arm) (Filler) (Enzuguri Kick, Japanese DDT) To be fair I found that spamming safe finishers/HIGHs right back works too....but I know if I miss the Enzuguri Kick like the computer does I'm getting hosed so. Anyway....I'm hoping for gimmicks and the ability to automatically set persona changes based on time period. And the booking needs to be a bit better....guys are wrestling the same guys like 17 times in a row.

Wolfie
Hopefully this game with the shown calculations isn't as completely full of crap like WS2 was. I love how they have the audacity to tell you the CPU is on level playing field with you while you fail 3 finishers at very high momentum for them to come back and hit a string of 4 HIGH impact moves from poor momentum onward to beat you while your character is better in every way. It's glorious. Or better yet when you know the game refuses to allow you to hit any moves to build your momentum so you go for some 85 percent low move with a average against poor momentum swing and he simply moves out of the way and hits you with a HIGH psuedo finisher and pins you. This is simple percent, the way it works is that way. you have an 85% chance, he has a 15% chance, just cause you have the 85% dose NOT mean you should be able to hit it. Roll a six sidded die, a guy can get 5 6's in a row, he is not cheating this happens a LOT in a lot of stuff with chance
Blackman
I hope there's the option of working competitive matches, so the game would feel like an actual 'game', instead of a simulation. In the previous game, I believe you could only work a standard entertainment match. Let's say I play a worker from PGHW, would it actually be a competitive match where the focus is on trying to win? Or will it be: "all right, we've won 4 straight: I think I'll job to this guy because the boss says so or because I like him a lot." It'd be awesome if the 'league' was expanded on as well. That was the best part of the game (kind of how the simulations in WMMA3 are the best part for some people).
Capelli King
I preferred to see a new WMMA, however Wrespi making a comeback would be nice. The thing with this game is that it has huge potential. Wrespi (the previous versions) were basically WMMA where you actually controlled the fighting. If this is going to stay a Wrestling focused game, then relationships and "jobbing" need to come into the game.
D. Boons Ghost
... If this is going to stay a Wrestling focused game, then relationships and "jobbing" need to come into the game. Jobbing, nada. If your wrestler stinks, so be it - but why should there be an obligatory curtain jerking period in a career? If Adam maintains the leveled intro wrestlers, couldn't you just pick the lowest leveled schmoe? As I am old enough to have lived through it, I tend to look at wrestling as it was in the territorial era. WreSpi is almost the perfect kayfabe vehicle. After all, the matches are portrayed, as you said, like WMMA fights. The fights, however, are not the end-all in wrestling - no matter the era; angles and story lines have always driven that short bus. Previous games in the series used Feuds as a nice substitute. I am hoping that one of Adam's future announcements revolves around expanding the concept. Perhaps allowing run-ins to increase feud 'heat', for example; or allowing random matches to generate their own feuds. "After embarrassing Palooka Joe last match, he has demanded a series of matches against you." I am very interested to see what surprises Adam still has in store. DanielBryan
I'm buying it as soon as it comes out. Wrestling Spirit is my favorite series, even though its not nearly as deep or rich as TEW or WMMA. There are some additions I really hope this game gets, though. 1) Better backstage relations and a dozen more ways to interact with people. and 2) Good use of booking, storylines, etc, it should be more than two disconnected minigames, I should be able to be in my own storylines as if I were a professional wrestler in a big-time promotion When I saw the sub-board for Wrestling Spirit 3 when I logged in this forum, I literally gagged in excitement, that's how much I CAN'T wait for this game

BobbyRogers
I do hope that the tournament modes get expanded this time around. I loved the modes, but would rather have full control over the seeds and who gets selected (as opposed to basing it on Popularity). Would also like to have Exhibition Matches saved in a database to bring up stats as well, or at least have that somehow related to Torny Mode. crayon
The previous WreSpri didn't do much for me, but I like the potential and the journal sounds good so far, so I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Hopefully there's a good bit of depth to what's going on outside of the matches as well

Travis
I recently bought the last game and I've enjoyed it quite a bit other than the fact its not very stable(atleast for me). I have to save every(in game) day and it'll give me RTE's and crash right after having great matches almost 50% of the time. Its frustrating that I've just stopped playing it and am holding out for the new one since I figure WreSpi2 is long and buried for new patches. Kinda a waste for $20, but I kinda expected that for a game that was made around 7 years ago when XP was king.

When only one person is getting them, it almost always indicates an issue with their particular set-up rather than the software. Not being in admin mode would result in regular errors. Failing that you will need to post in the Tech Support forum about what exactly the errors are (as you didn't include the numbers above).</p>

Yes, some characters act like Hogan at the end of a match; their finishers have a high percentage of accuracy and power in the DOTT mod. At the end of a match, it's probable, both you and your opponent are both in Danger and the Computer will spam finishers, just like you should be doing. If you're winning 80% in DOTT, I don't see what the problem is. Adam has killed the chance of wrestling the same guy 17 times in a row with the Storyline addition. I had a few problems installing a mod as it kept saying I didn't have the proper authority to rewrite the files, which is weird because I never had a problem doing TEW mods. It has nothing to do with the game, my computer just randomly started to not let me make changes in some folders no matter how often I changed my permissions to allow everything. Ricky CBK Hawes
Wonderful news...Reminds me of how ambitious the original was...Adam truly stepped outside the box and hit a home run with this series and I am glad to have been a part of it
RKOwnage
I loved WS2 but I never got it back after my computer crashed. I had a Charlie Haas 2001 diary going either on here or EWB that I really got into writing but I was never able to finish it so I'm ready to jump back into something like that once this one comes out. All of these updates look awesome. Can't wait.
