What's going on in your game?

Damn Wolf! He was the most over guy in the world at 100's across the board in the US. Now he gets hit with a scandal and dropped big time. Ugh..I was close to changing him to my figurehead too. Glad I didn't

<p>I've just done the 1999 Royal Rumble in my Montreal Aftermath save; Ken Shamrock loses the IC belt to Paul Wight, but still retains against Vader, and Austin has won his second Rumble in a row (I was thinking The Rock could win on this year, but I changed my mind).</p><p> </p><p>

A major storyline I've got going is a "power struggle" sort of thing between Vince McMahon and Commission (Sergeant) Slaughter, culminating in a match between the two at WrestleMania and a brand-split immediately after Mania, leaving Vince to put Shane in charge of SmackDown, while Slaughter takes Raw.</p><p> </p><p>

After watching the first part of WhatCulture's How They Should Book The Brand Split, I've decided to split the roster in a similar fashion, with most of the more experienced veterans (HBK, Legion of Doom, Undertaker, Vader) being on Raw, and most of the newer breed, as in the people who have come into WWF just years prior (Rock, Shamrock, Foley, Kurt Angle, Jushin Liger, Kane), being on SmackDown.</p><p> </p><p>

There will be a couple of newer people in the Raw roster, most notably Paul Wight, the IC champion at that point, so the titles stay balanced on both brands, and an old guy or two on SmackDown (Jushin Liger is by a technicality a 10+ year pro, but counts as a new talent due to just arriving last year).</p><p> </p><p>

However, the WWF title (who will be on the Rock by the time this first Draft comes around) will not stay on one brand and have an equivalent on the other; like the tag belts, it'll float between brands. Raw gets the European title and, later on, the Women's title when I revive the division later, while SmackDown gets the Intercontinental and Light Heavyweight titles.</p>

I'm running the Montreal Aftermath mod with WCW and my save is fun so far.

Hogan lost to Sting at Starrcade in a more reasonable fashion. Basically, I just had them fight a regular match. Got a 95 rating. No stupid ref switch in sight.

Hart and Sting are in a feud over the Big Gold Belt. Just had a double count out, in a last man standing match, at Bash at the Beach. Got a 97 rating.

Flair is pissed about being pushed down the card, but I have plans for him, I'm just letting him stew in the upper card for now, making guys look good. He's going to get the world belt back at some point down the road, just waiting for Hogan to play himself out as figurehead or piss enough people off that I can drop him.

Savage keeps putting on the best matches of his career. He carried Lex Luger to a pair of 92 match ratings. I almost have to do something more with the Macho Man. I might have Hart take the title off Sting and have Savage go after Hart.

Another guy putting on great matches is Meng. The guy is a total monster who was always underutilized. I'm considering putting the US title on him. He's had multiple upper 80 ratings with people who aren't so great.

This mod is awesome. The mod squad really came through.

<p>I'm at 2020 in my cornellverse RTG save, USPW and 21CW have the most coverage after Reverie expanded and 21CW have put shows out in the US and Australia, however, SOTBPW seem to have the most star power, having picked up Remo, Rich Money, and Nicky firetruckin' Champion. We seem to be locked into a three-way dance between 21CW, USPW and SOTBPW for international dominance. SWF and TCW seem to be treading water; SWF fluctuates above and below SOTBPW in the company war rankings, but TCW remains consistently under all the other major promotions in the world. </p><p> </p><p>

Meanwhile, my tiny little Great Lakes promotion keeps chugging along.</p>

<p>Into May 2003 with ROH, the worst has happened....the man who I had planned to win the ROH World title at my June show, ROH: Ironman, Samoa Joe has just signed with the WWE. I am heartbroken, Joe was gonna be my figurehead. Also, Tony Marmaluke from the FBI, my jobber tag team, just asked for a pay raise. He is currently being paid $650 per appearance, and wants $2,400. I said no and now I'm just waiting for him to hand in his notice. Until then, Marmaluke is on ultimate jobber duty. I've never tried to bury somebody but this guy's career is on a one way ride to the graveyard.</p><p> </p><p>

Elsewhere, I stripped Chris Kanyon of the WWN Global Championship after OVW made Samoa Joe drop the title to him. I was getting ready to put the title on CM Punk, when suddenly I got a notification that OVW had put the title on Chuck Palumbo, another guy who is on a developmental contract so I cant loan them. I stripped Palumbo of the title, and tried to expel OVW from the alliance but the alliance blocked it. Now I'm basically just sitting around hoping OVW doesnt try to give the title to another jobber.</p><p> </p><p>

My tag team division is popping right now. Monty Brown and B-Boy have sided with Homicide and are on a rampage through the division. Brian Kendrick and Paul London are also putting on consistently great performances but my favourite team has to be Team Friendship, Chris Sabin and El Generico. They were jobbers until Generico fell for Cheerleader Melissa, and then Generico's performances improved to impress her. The two have gone from enhancement talent to midcarders in no time and are in line for a shot at Corino and KENTA. I'm thinking of having them lose their first match and then finally get the win further on down the line at Final Battle.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, in my main fueds, CM Punk and Colt Cabana are going at it over the WWN Global Championship when I was FINALLY able to give Punk the strap. Both guys are pulling out B+ performances every match so this fued has been great. Thinking of having Punk keep the belt for a few months before dropping it to Cabana so he can go after the World title. Homicide is getting a huge push towards the World title and will replace Joe at ROH: Ironman against Devitt. Still heartbroken over Joe, I'm thinking of breaking up KENTA and Steve Corino because those two are incredibly over for a tag team, maybe one of them could replace him.</p>

<p>Next event is Saturday Night Main Event 3. </p><p> </p><p>

Main event is: Randy Savage, Razor Ramon and Owen Hart vs Roddy Piper, The British Bulldog and Big BossMan</p><p> </p><p>

Hollywood Blonds vs Road Warriors </p><p>

(Blonds interfered just as Marty Janetty had Saggs down for 2 3/4. The Blonds laughed their way to the back. Once they got there, Jack Tunney was acting tough and said he had a surprise for the Blonds on Raw. The surprise is a match with Road Warriors.)</p><p> </p><p>

Nasty Boys vs The Rockers (no dq)</p><p>

seriously thinking of a title change. </p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart vs The Genius</p><p>

(Bret working his way towards the Perfect Summerslam)</p><p> </p><p>

Mr Perfect vs Terry Taylor</p><p>

seriously not thinking of a title change here</p><p> </p><p>

The Warrior has not been seen since Wrestlemania. Will he show up?</p><p> </p><p>

Sreve Williams vs Jimmy Snuka</p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho vs Virgil </p><p>

( I changed my mind at the last minute and had Jericho beat a jobber on his debut. Virgil interfered in the match and botched interference. Jericho had this to say ''I already told you. Virgil has no game. I see his moves coming before he has even thought of them.'')</p><p> </p><p>

The real main event </p><p>

<strong>The second Ted Dibiase poker invitational</strong>. Players including</p><p>

Hulk Hogan </p><p>

The Undertaker</p><p>

Tito Santana (lol)</p><p>

Sean Mooney</p><p>

Mean Gene</p><p>

Haku</p><p>

Shane Stevens</p><p>

(Jericho has not been invited to this game because he dared to be great. Jericho has been seen passing on tips to Shane and he is impressed with his game. He had this to say about his poker protege ''Look at it this way. We all know he doesn't have to be here grinding. He could easily be on the cover of esquire magazine. Face like that. Matinee idol looks. He will win the second Ted Dibiase invitational'' OK then.)</p>

<p>Just finished 1986 in my WWF Risky Business game. What a year!</p><p> </p><p>

First things first, the awards:</p><p>

Wrestler of the Year- Toshiaki Kawada</p><p>

Tag Team of the Year- Demolition (Held the WWF tag title from July-October, went 33-13 overall.)</p><p>

Company- WWF (2nd year in a row, also won most improved)</p><p>

Young wrestler- Mitsuhara Misawa</p><p>

Veteran wrestler- Antonio Inoki (Not bad after making racist remarks the year before)</p><p>

Show of the year- WWF Summerslam (97 rating, main event was Hogan beating Andre the Giant for the WWF title)</p><p>

Match of the Year- Legion of Doom defeated Demolition (Finals of the WWF Tag team Classic, a one night tag team tournament I hold every August)</p><p> </p><p>

Overall, a pretty good year for the WWF.</p><p> </p><p>

Hogan lost the World title to Andre the Giant the month after Wrestlemania 2. Andre held the title for 4 months before Hogan returned the defeated the Giant at Summerslam, sending Andre off TV until December. Hogan lost the title at Survivor Series to Big John Studd after Ric Flair interfered.</p><p> </p><p>

Flair debuted for me in April. Been able to keep him away from Hogan for the entire year. Building to the main event at Wrestlemania 3. Backed by the Heenan Family, Flair has gone 17-2 so far in the WWF.</p><p> </p><p>

Despite helping Studd win the title at Survivor Series, Flair would cost him the title at my December supercard in the rematch with Hogan. Hogan will be stripped of the WWF World title by new president Gorilla Monsoon. Flair will win the vacated title at the Royal Rumble, than face Hogan at WM3.</p><p> </p><p>

Over in the Intercontinental division, Randy Savage held the title from December 1985 to May 1986, dropping the title to Mike Rotundo. Rotundo held the title until September before young, up-start Scott Hall would upset him for it. Hall's been defending the title almost every week since than. His next challenger will be Mr. Perfect, who has yet to lose since joining the WWF in May 1986, racking up a 28-0 record. Can Hall be the first to beat him and keep his title?</p><p> </p><p>

The WWF Tag Team title division has been quite active, with the titles going from The Hart Foundation to LOD to Demolition back to The Hart Foundation before The British Bulldogs finally got their hands on the titles when they beat the Harts. The Bulldogs have been chasing the titles all year long before finally getting the upper hand in December. But, with both Road Warriors back from rehab and Demolition wanting the titles again, and the Hart Foundation being pissed they lost them, can they hold on?</p><p> </p><p>

In other news, I dropped Stampede Wrestling as my child company, keeping WWA as one and forming the WWF Japan, a touring company, to be my other child company. I have quite a few young prospects in both companies, being trained by veterans I have no interest in using but don't want JCP to have.</p><p> </p><p>

Outside of signing Flair and Mr. Perfect, I also got my hands on Kerry Von Erich, Jim Ross, Tama and Haku (who later suffered a major injury, causing me to sign Fatu), Tully Blanchard (severed his spinal column in JCP, I than botched the surgery, not sure what I'm going to do with him, going to either be a manager, a trainer, or a road agent), and Rick Martel (who was sent to rehab after getting hooked on pain killers). I tried to sign Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin but Vince wouldn't let me spend enough money. Jerk. </p><p> </p><p>

Roddy Piper asked for his release in May after being unhappy for months thanks to his drug problem. Going to try to bring him back now and see if I can keep him happy. </p><p> </p><p>

Ted Turner took over WCCW after Fritz Von Erich died. Nine companies went out of business.</p><p> </p><p>

Overall, a pretty fun year. Got tons of ideas going forward that I'm excited for.</p>

I would keep him. At least he has interesting connections. :D Burt seriously, i'd try keeping him.

I don't think the world was ready for it. The other idea I came up with for Jericho has worked well so far. I created a gimmick called ''the kid'' with the description ''he will raise your bluff''. It rates above average. Improving after the last show.

Virgil was furious about taking a loss to Jericho on his debut. That did amuse me.

I could always sign up Shane Douglas and make him the lifeguard.

This needs to happen. :D

<p>King of The Ring sneaked up on me. I was happy about that because ppvs just feel bigger. Well, they used to and in my world, they certainly do. Anyway, the king of the ring of 1991 is....... The Mountie. </p><p> </p><p>

The Mountie defeats Bret Hart in the final after a distraction from Pillman and interference from Perfect. This is all to build to my Perfect vs Bret match at Summerslam. Mr. Perfect didn't like some of the questions he was asked on a recent Canadian radio show. </p><p> </p><p>

The Mountie has been taunting Ultimate Warrior ever since Wrestlemania. Warrior finally shows up at King of the ring and destroys the throne, etc. I might even do a 20 second squash at Summerslam. Depends how I'm feeling on that day. The Mountie is a good hand. Once again, with the restrictions on and WCW taking everybody (latest steal was Earthquake) , I'm forced to do things a little bit different. </p><p> </p><p>

Lance Storm has been brought in to back up Jericho. They are called Royal Flush. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I just had to. They defeated Haku and Barbarian at King of the ring. Botched interference from Ted and Jericho rolled up Barbarian. I'm all in on this Jericho push. I'll stop now. Anyway, Million Dollar man gets in Haku face and is only stopped when Ted shows him the money.. ''you will make this right'' Barbarian was furious and on that day, I was all out of cares to give. </p><p> </p><p>

Since my last update, The Rockers beat the Nasty Boys for the tag team titles, but lost them at King of the ring in their rematch. I think I go a little overboard with interference, this time it was Paul Roma and Warlord (power and elegance. Yes, I actually named them that after Hercules went to WCW.) Shawn hasn't shown any heel form yet, although I feel a few more losses will start to push him towards becoming the Lifeguard. hahah Imagine that. Nah, he is becoming the heartbreak Kid. He will wrestle Jannetty at Wrestlemania 8. Sorry, Tito. Don't be sad, Tito. You're invited to the next card game. </p><p> </p><p>

Hulk Hogan took a loss on TV. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ''You know something, Mean Gene. Gordon Gekko is a true poker extraordinaire. I was making all the right plays, the power of Hulkamania was making me focus like I have never focused before. I had that stinky Gekko right where I wanted him, Dude. And then he catches me on the river. Everybody gets lucky once, Jack. Now whatcha gonna do when I see you at the next Ted Dibiase invitational and Hulkamania, the prayers and the vitamins run wild on you!!!!!!!!</p><p> </p><p>

3 things are certain in life</p><p> </p><p>

Death, taxes and Hawk being drunk/high or both during a match. He is away to rehab. Goodbye any plans I had for Road Warriors. At least for now. He will be gone for 8 months.</p><p> </p><p>

Doesn't matter now WCW came in. I did find it funny that Warlord accepted an extension. Of all the people to show some loyalty. It will be a problem because one of my owner goals is getting Hawk up to a certain popularity level. Will Vince realize it is his fault that I could not offer more money? Only time will tell. </p><p> </p><p>

I did sign up Ric Flair and he will make his debut very soon. Some things you just have to repeat. I'm going to make this a more sensational debut.</p>

<p>Thanks to Ted Dibiase and Gordon Gekko. They did some dastardly money schemes. Friends of Storm and Jericho have been left unemployed, or something like that. Going to have Dibiase beat Jericho at Summerslam. I've been concentrating on the character building more than wrestling, but Jericho is now up to midcard. Dibiase will use underhand tactics and Jericho will come back stronger. </p><p> </p><p>

Undertaker vs Hogan is happening at Summerslam. Going to put Hogan out of action for a while after a post match angle. The plan is to have Undertaker win . Flair will help out like he did at Survivor Series. Not sure Hogan will lose, though. I might have to follow the example of Dibiase and Gekko and just turn off creative in the database. </p><p> </p><p>

Savage will retain against Piper in a wild brawl. Going to turn Savage face soon. Have the famous feud with Roberts over the WWF title. Not sure what to do with Piper next. </p><p> </p><p>

Ric Flair will make his debut against The British Bulldog. </p><p> </p><p>

There is nobody brave enough to fight Steve Williams at Summerslam, according to Jim Cornette. I brought in Ken Shamrock as a heel to be Razor Ramon bodyguard. Long term plan is Shamrock vs Williams. I made a TV title to give Williams something to do. He will win all his matches by stoppage.</p><p> </p><p>

Jim Duggan had his gimmick changed. His new gimmick is called ''stoner motion.'' It got an initial rating of great and it all made sense. Duggan was wrestling on soft drugs the previous event. I've had enough patriot gimmicks to last many lifetimes. Duggan is sort of a backstage guru that will hand our nonsensical advice, but more often than not, there is truth in his ramblings. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm decided that I'm going to give The Rockers a run with the tag team titles. They will beat Nasty Boys and eventually lose to Hollywood Blonds. That will be what sets off the Shawn heel turn.</p><p> </p><p>

I brought Nailz in because I wanted to do that angle with Big Boss Man. One of the angles I fondly remember from my childhood. So happy that Boss Man came back to get him. About 3 days after Nailz is signed, he is caught with steroids. Prestige took a little hit and is down to 66. Nailz was fired.</p>

<p>1998 is done and dusted and here are the big happenings of the year (I am WWF)</p><p> </p><p>

WWF faced a mass exodus of toxic and unagreeable talent as HBK, HHH, Chyna, Billy Gunn, Brian Christopher, Barry Windham, D'Lo Brown, Ken Shamrock, The Road Warriors, Marc Mero and Vader all left the company over the year. Most notably, HBK signed for WCW instantly, and after a 4 month sting in ECW (where he won the ECW Title) HHH joined his best friend in WCW.</p><p> </p><p>

Luckily a new batch of talent (and a few overlooked men) took their places at the top. Owen Hart & The Rock officially burst into the main event both winning the world title at Wrestlemania & Summerslam respectively. Farooq joined up with Bradshaw early, forming the APA (standing for the ass-kicking protection agency) and winning the Tag Titles from a drugged up Billy Gunn and an unfortunate Road Dogg (Yes, Road Dogg seems to be the clean healthy one).</p><p> </p><p>

In the midcard stars such as Mark Henry, William Regal, TAKA Michinoku, Edge, Christian and Kurt Angle have all solidified what looks like an amazing future in the company. Meanwhile hungry lowercarders like the Hardyz, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Aguila and Gangrel are waiting in the wings for their chance at the spotlight.</p><p> </p><p>

There are rumours of a second A show called Smackdown debuting following the coming Wrestlemania along with a renewed focus on a brand new women's division that is starting to take shape. and despite WCW's shot of starpower they acquired this year, the strange decision to have the company headlined by Lex Luger as the champion heading into the new year over the red hot Shawn Michaels, has left their competition thinking that the war may be over.</p><p> </p><p>

As we start the new year...</p><p> </p><p>

WWF Champion: The Rock (due to lose it to the rumble winning Stone Cold at Wrestlemania)</p><p> </p><p>

Tag Team Champions: The APA (will likely lose it to the heel turning Edge & Christian at No Way Out)</p><p> </p><p>

Intercontinental Champion: TAKA Michinoku (scheduled to be trampled by The Big Show in Show's first title match since his debut in november, at the rumble)</p><p> </p><p>

European Champion: William Regal (will hold it for the foreseeable future until i decide to bring Mark Henry back from his kayfabe injury, also known as stint in developmental)</p><p> </p><p>

Light Heavyweight Champion: Christian (Will lose it on the first RAW of 1999 back to Aguila of the 'New' Truth Commission) (The Commission consisting of Gangrel, Aguila, Kurrgan and Big Show)</p>

Took over as ROH in 2016 and trying to mimic the success I had in 2013 with Tama Tonga and I have strapped a rocket to his back, he will eventually go over Michael Elgin before he is released. Then when he is at Upper midcard I'll have him take the TV title before marching towards the World title and losing (thus ending an unbeaten streak) and eventually turn him heel when he loses the TV title. Hopefully this will culminate in him changing into "The Warlord" heel character from my TEW 2013 save.

Also I have hired quite a few more over guys to flesh out my main event. Going to try and turn Ring Of Honor into a roster of the best free agents. Sort of a super indy and take on TNA at some point later in my game.
