Official "Booking Committee" Thread

Recommended Posts

Playing as SWF in early May 2016 and I've run into a pair of conundrums due to bidding wars.

First, I'm about to lose Zimmy Bumfhole (bidding war to USPW, didn't expect them to go for him), but I had my tag division pretty firmly planned out into Supreme Challenge in July. After just coming out of a triple threat tag feud also with The Awesomeness and Platinum Blondes that started at the beginning of the year, The Bumfholes were going to continue to feud with the Blondes for 2 months, then combine that feud with the new tag title feud (Awesomeness vs. Hero Squad) for a fatal four way at Supreme Challenge. My options for this one, as I see them, are:

1. Give Randy Bumfhole a new tag team partner that he builds up as a replacement for Zimmy.

2. Randy feuds with the Blondes for a month, who then insert themselves into the tag title picture and Randy is directionless for a month before entering into the "use most of my guys" Battle Royal at Supreme Challenge.

3. Randy feuds with the Blondes for 2 months as revenge for them taking out Zimmy, and uses that to look like a huge singles star. I'm just not sure how to book this one, but he has been having some of the better performances in the ring.

The second issue is kinda the opposite. I didn't put Brandon James into my booking plans after this month because I expected to lose him to USPW after losing Paul Huntingdon and Zimmy. However, USPW randomly dropped to Cult during the bidding war and now James signed with me for 5 years. The biggest issue I have now is I signed a few potential replacements and I have no idea what to do with them. I gave Christian Price (as Chris Ca$h) the same manager as Brandon to help him get over, and also brought in Sayeed Ali, who hasn't debuted yet. Both are auto-pushing to Enhancement Talent right now, so I'd need to get them over. Here's the options I'm looking at:

1. Make Ca$h and Ali a tag team running interference for James.

2. Just make Ca$h an interference runner/fall taker, pair Ali with Monty Trescarde as the new bodyguard/enforcer for my group, The Enterprise.

3. Turn Ali face and feud Ca$h and Ali as they work their way up the card.

Any other ideas or thoughts, or opinions on which routes to take?

For whatever Jimmy Uso has a drinking problem and he showed up 2 weeks in a row drunk. I fined him the first time. Second time I sent him to rehab. Him, Naomi and Roman all hated me for it.

He came back clean, but started showing up late for appearances. I canned him and Naomi. I decided to go with Jey Uso as a singles wrestler.

Any good name suggestions for him and maybe what gimmick would be good for him?

What would be interesting, is if you had him come out every month as each of the gimmicks his family went through. He could be Jay Meng, Headshrinker Uso, I mean, His dad went through like 6 gimmicks himself.

Instead of one gimmick, have him be EVERY gimmick.

Playing as WWF on the TGA 1987 mod.

Still in the first month and planning on what the WWF will be exactly after WM3, kept most of the default feuds. With Undertaker v Bruno Sammartino as a new feud.

Im looking for what to do with Sting, I'v currently got him on Vacation untill after Mania 3.

Looking to build him up to the Main event over the next year.

Looking for interesting things for Sting to do whilst he gets built up?

My initial thought for him is: I'm introducing the US title as a true Midcard title. A Heel will win it due to shenanigans and will go on an open challenge every week untill Sting comes in makes his debut and wins the title on his first match.

It may effect the title's prestige by being on Sting, at 30/40 pop.

Build up a vicious heel for Sting to come in and defeat on his first night then have them feud. Sounds pretty solid to me, man.

I haven't really gotten into my 1987 game, but I may roll WWF just to do it. Bring in Sting and Warrior. Easy. Keep them a tag team. Build them up. Eventually, tension starts to simmer. But at the same time, another face team is going through the same problems. Lead up to survivor series, both of those simmering tag teams get paired up along with 4 whatever heels, not important.

Its the Hart Foundation and Blade Runners, Neidhart and Warrior turn on their partners, Sting and Hart become a new tag team and feud with their former partners. Once all that is over, I have two faces ready for the Championship.

Big Smack Entertainment

http://i.imgur.com/Ui6yxjt.jpg

I'm trying to set up Big Smack Entertainment and give it the right product settings. Would this be the right settings for Big Smack Scott? I kind of see him in a product where size matters, and bigger workers can thrive together with those hot valets. I've also added som hiring rules so that the "Vanilla Midgets" can't be hired. I don't want a family friendly USPW product, but rather a more AMW, SWF and XFW inspired product, but tweaked so that BSS can rule supreme. Should it have some more attitude and less comedy?

So quite the decision in a few areas with my annual send off coming in 2 weeks on the 4th of july.....

fed is set where pop=performance

-----------------------------------------------------

World title picture

At the end of the prior year, Marshall Dillon (heel) stole the title from Ross Henry (face), who carried the company, holding the title 15 months, raising the prestige to 100 and turning the tide in regional wars, which I've not lost since signing him. The plan had originally been to drop to Danny Patterson, but he became obese, stamina went down, he won't drop size, so I scrapped those plans.

Dillon was there at the right time and his reign was intended to be 3-4 months, but he's taken off and is as consistent as Henry. The two of them routinely put up 96-100 angles and Dillon just scored my first 100 performance in a match (just his part, the overall match was a little lower)

Add to that recent newcomers Wade Orson (face) who has been on the same tear as these two and Hell's Bouncer (heel bodyguard/ally of Dillon), who has done a good job as well, though not quite on their level.

Out of my 105 workers (yes, I still like obnoxiously big rosters), the only two that it says are fit to be figurehead are Orson, and my user char Jack avatar - with whom I started the process a few months before signing Orson. None of these guys have positive or negative chemistry with each other and none of them have the psych or selling yet to not get penalized in a match against each other. I can no longer put Holmes in the title picture as he's rapidly lost all of his skills and Avatar set to win a different title at the event to solidify him as figurehead.

Per the creative team my top 5 in order are Orson, Avatar, Henry, Dillon, Bouncer

Top 5 talkers are Avatar, Henry, Orson, someone not in the hunt, Dillon. Avatar is the only one in the 5 hottest (ranking number 2 behind Patterson). All have very positive momentum

The title is definitely not going to Bouncer, so trying to figure out who to add for the psych/selling, and then which guy walks out. Also in the picture as the possible acquisition of DWN if I can steal him from TCW when he is free about 2 months after this show. He just lost the TCW world title a month or two ago.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tag titles

Henry Bennett and JOJI (face team) won these as part of the reward for the first Keith Classic tournament after I bought out MAW. Despite a lack of great teams for most of this time, they've kept the titles (set to floating) in the range of 85-90 prestige for 10.5 months

The heel teams they are feuding with are not worthy, but have potential. I'd like them to have more than one run, and Bennett is now starting time decline, so I'll have to keep that in mind. One is emerging that could do it, but I'm still working to build their momentum. The best replacement is a face team, but I was going to put the X title back on one of them, and don't want the other's head to get too big before I can sign written - he's starting to take off in terms of pop.

I also have the Keith Classic about 7 weeks after the main show and was toying with the idea of either having the face team win to give them a reason to face the champs (they team up a lot, don't want to turn either), but this would set one of the workers popularity further than what I'd want to pay him for, unless I make it to cult first, which is doubtful. Or I could have the best heel team pull an upset and have a short run at the main show, or after winning the tournament to build up some momentum and popularity.

A final option would be to have them drop the titles to Patterson and whoever I stick with him, and then either they, or the other face team win them back after winning the tournament. The only thing I don't like here is Paterson has no chemistry with anyone for teaming, and all of these guys are way smaller than he is.

As a whole, my tag division is taking off, so it should be strong in a matter of time. a year ago, I struggled to put together 8 teams, actually hired some just for the event. Now I'm considering adding another round

-----------------------------

Last but not least .....

Oscar Mcfly......

My first dojo grad. Had strong entertainment, otherwise stunk it up. Had some personality issues to the tune of a bunch of fines. When that didn't work, I took a step that nobody else has pushed me to, and had someone bury him, which he is still mad about per his morale (no negative relationship toward anyone)

Then came fox mask, who took him under his wing. All of those bad traits; gone and replaced, now he is very positive. (do they stay if fox mask leaves or retires, or does he revert back?)

He toiled the undercard for a while, I found two undercard partners with good chem and he's begun to take off with one of them, gaining 32 pop in the past year in my main region. When carried by someone with good psych, his contribution to the match is not good, but match grades are fairly good.

Scouting levels are still limited (4/10), but he only shows improvement in 1 area, with performance going from average to strong and rumble and technical remain very weak and high flying only average.

With fox mask passing down tips to speed things up, should I push him up the card where he can face better workers to train up his skills, or bounce him back and forth so that he never gets too popular for his worth, but might have slower skill acquisition.

He costs me $120 per show currently, which is awesome.

Hey, i'm looking for TNA rules starting after this year's Slammiversary.

Thanks in advance ! :)

I'll give you a few :) Some are a little silly but should be an interesting game.

 1. Lashley wins lol - Big Bobby has to remain TNA World Champion for over a year and he must win another title during the year.
 2. You can't cross a burnt bridge - Absolutley no ex-TNA Talent can be brought back into the company, you need new faces (one night appearances don't count)
 3. International Exposure - You want to boost TNA's appeal in foreign markets, sign one person from each area in the game (you can sign more than one if you want)
 4. Sign Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes & Bad News Barrett - One you must push all the way to top (i.e. #2 behind Lashley), one you must make part of a team with an existing TNA talent and one must be given a dancing fool gimmick complete with Silly renaming.
 5. Mountains are slippery - The King of the Mountain title must never be successfully defended. It must change hands in every match it is contested in.

That said, what kind of workers should I send there, and who should be my flagship signings?

That said, what kind of workers should I send there, and who should be my flagship signings?

Avalanche Takano can make an immediate difference stateside, and he is fairly over in Japan. Buddy Garner is very over in Japan and can pull a decent match if he isn't deep on Time Decline. I'd consider Super Ninja [Fumihiro Ota], Sozen Ishinormori and Billy Russell too. Notice none of these guys really need to be in development -- that's because a developmental territory doesn't really get the main company over in another country -- however, a touring developmental territory with BCG's size allows for workers to gain skills quickly -- their peers will be very skilled and the workers will have multiple weekly opportunities to wrestle.

As far as "who should you send", the "rawest" prospects need this treatment the most. Rookies or close to it and rough workers will quickly gain skill in Japan. As far as "popularity" is concerned, you need to run your main shows in the country, or buy out and disband other failing Japanese companies [keep an eye on WEXXV and/or SAISHO].

One more thing: keep an eye on expiring contracts and workers being available in new areas -- it may be very possible to poach a big name from Burning Hammer or PGHW if they are willing to work in new areas.

Could use some creative advice. I'm playing an SWF game where I want to turn Skull DeBones. One last run as a monster heel.

The way I've been thinking about turning him is by having some evil genius play mind games with him, planting the idea that he's gone soft, or suggesting that the cheering fans don't really love him because deep down they know he's a monster. Initially, Skull seems to reject these mind games... but when the son of his old nemesis joins the SWF roster, the big man snaps, brutalizing poor Matty Faith, turning back into Vengeance.

Sound plausible?

To play my evil genius, I've been thinking Professor Nero, whose name "still conjures fear around Texas, even now." Of course, Skull and Nero were in the Texas Wrestling League together, so they've got history. Now if Nero makes sense to you, do you think it's legit for me to hire him for just a show or two to plant the heel turn in Skull's head? I'm concerned because Nero has no roles listed -- not even Personality -- so I don't know if he's in the database just for completion's sake, as opposed to someone I can legitimately use for this purpose.

Bonus question: Since I can't hire Christian Faith (out of the business), who's the logical superstar to heroically avenge Matty? Would it be Valiant? Jack Bruce? Captain Atomic? Big Smack Scott?

Hi

im Running a game as 21CW and i have been Planning a big Heel stable with Jonathan Faust and Grave Digger as his right Hand/ Monster and a few other guys.

I have a development League wich trains Mainly the Wrestling Stats.

And his overness and stats are now ready to be called up to the Main Roster...thats good cause i have everything planned so he can have a nice impact as heel Monster. i have hired him in a development contract wich goes 2 more years.

My Problem: in the Develpment league they made him Face as Supernatural...the turn was just a few Months ago..so how is the best way to turn him to Monster heel? try my luck with a normal turn? i really dont want to mess up this storyline cause its one of my key ones soon.Or should i just release him and rehire him?what is the best way to get a good gimmick rating in this situation?

Sounds like a cool storyline. What about playing up DeBones days in DAVE?

That opens up Nemesis, Eric Tyler, Laramee, Joey Minnesota, Brandon James, Emma Chase, etc who all have significant history in that promotion. You can backfill in how each of these characters crossed paths with DeBones throughout the years...

Finally signed Jack Bruce now that his toxic period is over...and on the day I sign him he announces he is retiring in 3 months, so I've only got him for a little while. He'll have plenty of chances to appear on my shows given my show frequency. The question is how best to use him.

In the three months I have him, the All American Title, World Title, and Tag Titles are not likely to be changing hands as they all recently have changed hands. For the main promotion titles that only leaves the X divison Title.

So what is the better way to use Jack, as a world title feud to put over the champ, or give an immediate short X-title run? (I see he is middleweight, but have no idea of his character or persona really from prior versions. Never signed him before). He could put over my user character for the AA title, but that seems beneath him.
