Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Would someone mind giving me a quick blast session on booking a lucha fed, specifically OLLIE.

Looking for some advise on the do's and don't of booking.

Thanks in advance.

OLLIE is the most traditional of traditional lucha feds. They have two Key Features Lucha Libre and Traditional nothing else is even heavily feature. Mainstream is Medium and everything else is low or none.

So they are a very basic company that still adheres to kayfabe. Their stories are pretty one dimensional good versus evil plotlines. Nothing over the top, even their monsters are kind of blandly evil. They don't do anything to risque and although their matches are moderately intense (55%) they are't actually dangerous (20%) even though they are fast paced.

They have a 90% match ratio which means they'll most likely only have a few interviews or promos during a show. Maybe an occasional attack. Its also a family friendly show as its known as "The People's Promotion" so there will be the occasional comedy match or segment for the kids.

OTOH, I always thought of that as there was no 'face/heel divide.' I placed emphasis on the 'divide' part. Your gimmicks will be face or heel regardless. But the workers using face gimmicks and the ones using heel gimmicks are not divided.

My product requires gimmicks. And it seems the workers with higher face skill get better rated gimmicks when they are suing face gimmicks. So it's like the audience knows they are faces, but don't care if they fight another face.

You workers with good face skill aren't getting good scores in face gimmicks because the audience knows their a face. They're getting good ratings because they are good at playing a face.

Why the default gimmicks that wrestlers have end up being Awful despite the fact that there shouldn't be any problem that afect them? Does it really have to do with the product?

Is that in the HEEII Mod, while playing SCW whenever i hire for example Balls Mahoney, it's Extreme gimmick usually begins with a Very Good rating.

However, after creating my custom promotion, DOA, with a similar product type, it ends up being Awful.

Question about broadcaster and alliances

I am playing a "sandbox" game where I started my own small company with $50 million, created my own broadcaster, then entered into an alliance with All Canada Pro Wrestling.

Next, I created a weekly show to air on my broadcaster. My question is this, is it possible to get ACPW a show on my broadcaster too? I'm just goofing around, but would like to see if I can help to increase ACPW's popularity by airing their shows on my broadcaster.

I haven't been able to find any information about this, and can't seem to find a way to do it either when looking at "own broadcaster" or when editing the data. Thanks!

What am I missing, or is this a bug on my end?

Just wondering if anyone knows this? I asked a few days ago but got no repsonse.

Just had an idea for improvement for gimmicks on the next TEW.

What if certain gimmicks gave boosts or if they made certain stats matter less.

Like the Undertaker gimmick... originally a part of his gimmick was no selling. It meant that he didn't need to know how to sell well to put on a good performance as the character. The Undertaker is impervious to pain... to cover for the lack of selling. etc.

Why are companies that are not even running shows in my region (neither broadcast on tv or appearing there) factoring into regional battles and winning them for that matter? That just seems extremely odd to me that shows that don't even happen near me or being broadcast with me can beat my shows.

Never tried more than 3, iirc, hence why i said to not quote me. Do you have any penalties of running so many shows in one week? We are talking about TV and not events, right? Cause events are unlimited. If TV, are you having any penalties or are your grades doing well?

How is running shows in Pennsylvania affecting shows being put on in Michigan? If there is TV coverage then that makes total sense because the audience actually has something to compare it to. But how are they comparing shows that they haven't seen?

They've become so popular people from out of town are now driving to come to their shows. This is how you gain popularity in that region. If you gain popularity in a region because of a show - which you do every show you gain a percentage of your popularity gain in your spillover regions.

Pennsylvania is in the Tri-State regions so you're popularity is 40% of your tri-state popularity in New England, The Mid Atlantic and The Great Lakes, and 20% in Ontario and Quebec. There for it means people hear about your shows in those places. They go do your shows, they like your shows, and therfor you count as being a part of the regional battle when you would reach the level for doing so there.

So, I remember seeing a post a long time ago explaining how the auto-push distributes push levels in rough percentages of the roster, but I can't for the life of me remember where or by whom. Does anyone remember those percentages (and/or know whether those still apply, as I believe that was for a previous version)?
