Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Recommended Posts

sorry this might have been asked before, but there's so many posts here I thought I'd ask again just in case anyone else is wondering. When a wrestler comes back from a touring with their band (in my case Steve Austin of all people formed a band!), how long can I expect him to stick around? Is there some sort of restriction on how often he can tour? Or within a certain amount of time? I don't want to put the WWF title on him for him to again change my booking plans if he goes off to tour so soon after getting back, if that makes sense.

From my experience in dealing with musicians they tend to spend about 50% off the time away with their band. Obviously it varies a bit in each game, but I have tended to have a worker for 5 months then they head off for about 5 months. :)

My developmental shows are having 70+ main events but overall scores in the mid-high 40's. Is there a reason this would be happening consistently?

It's all about Production Values. Companies at a similar level that have lower production values suffer penalties, with each level of difference causing larger penalties. They can't be changed by you as the parent company unfortunately, so you have to rely on them opting to increase them on their own. :)

Ok, cheers for that. If that is the case that really changes my game up, because I don't want to hotshot the title every 5 months. :)

<p>Is there a way to improve road agents' skills (I believe this is Psychology + Respect)?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I have 6 at the moment, working up to 9 shows a month and I'm just over a year into the game. Over that time, 3 of them have moved up a single grade in Respect, none of them have moved in Psychology (possibly 1-2 percent, I'm in PM mode and don't have numbers switched on...)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The two with the weakest Psychology scores have contracts about to expire, and I know that the only real benefit from having more than one road agent is to insure against poaching... but it seems like the two with the lowest Psychology ought to have improved in that time.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Do non-wrestlers have potential caps, the same as in-ring workers?</p>

We've had no drop in company pop, our attendances haven't suffered and Austin already has the pop back that he initially lost when the scandal broke. The company is still making money hand over fist, and in March we actually made MORE than February, even though Austin has been toxic since mid-February.</p><p> </p><p> So in effect, absolutely nothing has happened. Weird.</p>

<p>Just wanted to hear if someone could confirm or deny a rumour...</p><p>

Is it true that a worker in a tag team can get upset at his partner (meaning develop a negative relationship) if the partner gets more falls/wins in their tag matches over a long period of time? Say Wrestler A gets the pinfall every match, and Wrestler B gets upset after a certain amount of time?</p>

I've wondered about these "independent shows". What are they exactly? They pop up every once in a while, fx. "Mexican Independent Show" and so on. Are they shows held every once in a while for workers without jobs?

Exactly, once a month there is independent shows held in each region that just uses unemployed stars. I figure it uses more than just the wrestlers themselves. Essentially to boost pop, and help unemployed guys grow still. If you goto the new article and filter by companies you can see the independent promotions.

basically, yes. also you can use them to kind of scout workers by seeing who has great matches

in my game, there are lots of new characters with insane basics, safety and selling, but s--- everything else. those 3 stats are all in the 90's, and these characters seem so much more worth the effort of building them up then the characters with real-life backstory's. I feel like this is unfair, is this what is meant to happen?

I am running a UK fed currently at Cult. 2 regions are national but I need another 2. My top guys all average mid to late 60s pop but don't seem to be budging any higher for a couple of months. I am bringing in Sheamus on loan for 1 appearance to job to my main guy, but what else can I do to get my guys to that next level? More of the same? Hire people with more pop in the UK to job to my main eventers?

<p>Facing workers with higher hardcore skills will train them (which begs the question of <em>what</em> they're doing in regular matches to build hardcore skills...)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I would think that working hardcore matches will help too, although all the more so when against skilled hardcore workers.</p>

<p>Do certain road agent notes help wrestlers learn faster or slower?</p><p> </p><p>

Lets say I have a not so good wrestler that I'm trying to have get better, so I put him in a match against a good veteran. </p><p> </p><p>

If I put 'Call in the Ring' as a note, the match will not be good because he's not good enough to do that. But does putting that note and taking a hit on this match rating help them learn faster than if I put the 'Script' note? </p><p> </p><p>

Same question with 'Keep it Simple' or 'Protect': Will doing things to make this match better/safer result in less psychology/stats gains than letting him 'sink or swim', having a bad match but having him 'learn' more from the match?</p>
