Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

Recommended Posts

I played it over again like 10 times and never got higher than 77. Didn't try with a different match type though. Weird, they got a 96 on King of Wrestling with the same settings (althought that was an hour, this was just 35 minutes)

Other key things to check are the storyline heat and perhaps their success in the storyline(cant recall if this second bit is just fluff without impact)

Also the company pop, industry pop and location pop can all affect as well I think (certainly for shows)

How can a match where the workers have 98 and 96 rating be dragged down to 75 by COMMENTATORS in a PERFORMANCE based company?!

Commentary penalties are universal; whether you're a performance or popularity based promotion is irrelevant to them, just as they're irrelevant to your production values, etc.

Just because your fans are tuning in for good wrestling rather than angles doesn't mean they are going to accept a poorly presented product.

You just have to look at the number of people who were turned off by the poor English commentary on some of the real life NJPW shows to see this in effect.

Personally I like Kevin Kelly and Don Callis, they're actually calling whats happening in the match and the names of the moves, as well as interacting with the wrestlers. Unlike say Michael Cole who are not allowed to speak freely and whose only job is to put out punchlines and promote the soap opera that is WWE.

If I can plug my own, it's similar to an RTG in that we start as a local -- though with slightly more than 0 popularity, I play as Robert Oxford so I'm not playing as a worker. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=542231

I think you can get a quick boost by dropping a weight class as well.
