<p>In 1996 we saw a group of wrestlers invade WCW and nearly destroy the company. What few people realize is that this was based on an idea Dusty Rhodes had in 1987, an idea that we never saw come to fruition until now. Prepare yourselves for a NWO invasion in 1987!</p><p> </p><p>

<p>And now for something completely different</p><p> </p><p>

I have finally learned enough about TEW2016 to feel up to writing a gameplay diary. My premise is simple: Vince McMahon is 71 and there are other wrestling promotions in the world. Trump will be in the Whitehouse to nip anti-trust legislation in the bud, so the time has come for:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The Supreme Wrestling Federation could be forgiven for thinking they had seen off their last great competition in the form of the Hollyweird Grappling Company, latterly TCW. But with the SWF seemingly poised for world domination a new threat arises, in the form of USPW, backed by a billionaire tycoon</p><p> </p><p>

Richard Eisen's appetite for competition is beginning to wane as he ages and with Jerry Eisen unproven as head booker, Richard knows that choppy waters may lie ahead for his empire. To steady the ship he turns to one of his most trusted lieutenants. A man he knows will command respect and loyalty in these turbulent times. A man who knows wrestling.</p><p> </p><p>

Mauro Ranallo: "Here we are in 2019 and after successfully defending his ROH World Heavyweight Championship 15 times since winning the belt against Will Ospreay in 2018. "The Villain" Marty Scurll is about defend it against the former champion at the biggest show in ROH history. It hasn't been easy for Ospreay after checking into rehab twice in the past year but he returned and earned the trust and admiration from the fans once more. But "The Villain" wasn't happy at his limelight being taken and offered Will his old demon; painkillers. The fans' hatred for the champion and is palpable, lets see how things play the Sunday at Ring of Honor's Death Before Dishonor!!" </p></div><p></p><p></p>

Shane McMahon returned to WWE in early 2016 as his father's company was dealing with a number of key injuries on the road to WrestleMania. He was promised a top match at the PPV but also hoped to gain some control he previously had before the left in 2009. </p><p> </p><p>

In the past year things didn't go as Shane hoped and was only given an on-screen position of power. As 2016 came to close, news broke that Shane was leaving WWE once again but what no one but the people in high ranking positions knew what went down. </p><p> </p><p>

Shane was able to convince his father to sell him rights to the WCW name and all things WCW in exchange for Shane's remaining stock in the company. Now Shane is on his own hoping to build a small company and turn it into something more.</p>

The name's James Heatly. I'm the hottest wrestling manager in the world. Or I was. Or never was. It's a little confusing. You see one day I'm managing the Starlights in 2009 and the next I'm waking up in a hospital bed in 2015. They told me that I was in a coma for seven years, but I know better. </div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Being in a coma doesn't completely nullify four years of work history. Being in a coma doesn't change a huge part of the world's history. And being in a coma definitely doesn't replace hundreds of people with hundreds of other people!</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

January 1991...

"The Black Scorpion was a disgrace. It was a black mark on my legacy. Jim Herd knew that it would be. Maybe that guy is pushing me too far. Maybe I should give Vince McMahon a call. Or maybe it should be Ted Turner. If Jim Herd stays, I go." ~ Ric Flair

World Championship Wrestling...

"WCW is in need of a new leader. If Jim Herd stays, we lose Ric. Ric is more valuable to the company than the pizza man. We need a creative head that is not going to leave us overnight. We need someone who knows the business. We need to move forward. We need to become the number one promotion in the world. But who will get us there?" ~ Sting

Looking back to the beginning of Pro wrestling 1920 (Effganic+)

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d46/stuartmwilson/tew/New%20World/Intro%20to%20the%20new%20world_zpsht2qj7xm.jpg

Starting in 1920 with the Effganic Mod plus adding in workers, companies, locations and broadcasters etc from many real and other verse.

I will be documenting the rise and possibly fall of the wrestling world with annual recaps before aiming to start a live company directly once we hit 1980.

Who knows what the industry will resemble by then?

Which Country will become dominant?

Which Company will go international first?

What styles of wrestling will be in favour in 6 decades time?

so many variables!!

Join me as we dive into the unknown history to chart the rise of this unique industry

<p>I ran a sim game with Genadi's 2001 WCW lives on mod, til 2020, and it's ended up in a place where I'm sorely tempted to jump in and see how what effect I have. </p><p>

Essentially: WWE are flicking between International and Global, Vince is dead and Shane and Steph are running the company</p><p>

WCW is firmly stuck at Cult, but still the second biggest in US</p><p>

ZeroOne is the only international competition to the WWE, having dominated Japan.</p><p> </p><p>

My idea for a story is: A consortium, using Triple H as a figurehead, buys out WCW, and installs Triple H as acting manager. As Steph's ex-husband (they divorced in 2016) he has every reason to try and knock WWE down a peg, while they focus on their international competition. </p><p> </p><p>

Would anyone be interested in reading if I started this?</p>
