Highly intelligent and made it through a long career making decent money and few injuries despite working in one of Japan's most dangerous companies before fading away to what many expected was retirement. After so many years and approaching fifty only a madman would return to the ring.

I wanted to give him a special start to his five years in prison by letting the last thing he saw of his precious company be my mug on an episode of Shockwave proclaiming my purchase. So I challenged the sale, claimed that Chief bought it under duress, made up some bull story of Trillion pressuring him as the feds closed in on TrillCorp, anything I could possibly do to make sure that the company was mine for the taking. </div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<p>Semi New to TEW</p><p> </p><p>

Hi all! While only having casually played TEW's 2005, 2010, and 2013, all of the new and updated features in 2016 have me hooked. By casually I mean I havent really looked at forums past mods and never even thought of posting a diary... Now, however, I really have an urging to do so. I have NEVER done such a thing, public gaming in general. If anybody has any tips for presentation that would be great! Anyway I plan on posting a Mid Atlantic Wrestling Diary starting with default rosters and database. Again any tips would be extremely helpful, mostly out of TEW programs, such as formating a show card in GoogleDocs or Word, etc.... Thanks so much in advance!</p>

If there is any part of other people's presentations that you like ask them how they do it, I know that's what helped me when I first started. There's a lot of different ways to format the show I suppose so it really depends how in depth you want it to be but I think MAW are a really good promotion to start with.</p>

<p><em>Disclaimer: This isn't really a diary preview as there is pretty much 0 chance I will decide to run with this and start a diary, it just felt weird working on it and just deleting it so thought I'd might as well post it. I know it's pretty much the opposite of what this thread is for but I didn't want to bump up one of my old threads to use for it.</em></p><p> </p><p>

The general idea behind it was that my user character was put in charge of a B show for USPW. It was more of an entertainment show loosely based around USPW, using it's characters as opposed to an actual wrestling show. The plan was for it start out as a B show that nobody wanted to be on but slowly build it up to the point where USPW pretty much existed just to create characters for this hit show. USPW would slowly change it product to like 20% angles and it would be more producing athletic athletes instead of wrestlers. Anyway I got the initial stuff written up but sort of went off the idea. If I was ever going to have posted it the format would have a bit more to it and some pictures but anyway here is what would have been the first 4 posts or so.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>The Fairly Distant Future</strong></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

You know Jack, it feels like a long time ago you first walked into this office. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

It had been a long time. And a lot had changed.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Do you know what often bothers me… People call me a visionary, even a genius. Pretty much all people with my sort of money and power get this. But I can tell you now there is a hell of a lot of millionaires, even billionaires who are blind and stupid. I’ve been fortunate to have my wealth since a very young age, I’ve spent my entire adult life around them. No not many of them are visionaries or geniuses, and I’m no different. You want to know what we all have in common? We bet on the right horse. And I’ve got to admit Jack, you… well you’re my favourite horse!" </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

We both let out a small laugh but in reality I couldn’t help but feel proud. I mean this is the man who made my life what it is. I first met him a 22 year old rookie with no job, but now I’m not only a multiple time champion, the head booker of the biggest wrestling company in the world but I’ve been able to do exactly what I came here to do, change the business. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"I often think about all those complaints I’d get, all the boys who outright refused to be a part of your plans. A lot of people thought we were ruining the business you know! "</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He was right. People still think it. Allen doesn’t like to surround himself with negative people. Don’t get me wrong he can take constructive criticism but he also has a great knack at being oblivious to a lot of the hate. But hey when you’re on top of the world and only going up do you really need to hear it all. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Do you take any pleasure in that Jack? I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Do you know the amount of people who laughed at the idea of Dream? Swear to God laughed me out of the building. I sometimes wonder where they are now but the truth is I don’t have a clue. I’m sure they know how I’M doing though. A lot of people laughed you off at first. Now the same people practically beg to be on your show. "</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I laughed off his question but the truth is… I think I do take pleasure in it. The difference between me and my boss is he is motivated by his own determination to be the best, whereas I’m motivated by everybody else's insistence that I CAN’T be the best. I’m not as relaxed as Allen. I still read all the comments online, I still hear the naysayers who think I’ve ruined the very business I love. And I know my detractors still exist but I think it’s pretty clear that I’ve come out on top. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The conversation soon moved on from our shared past to the plans we’re setting in motion for the future. But my mind was stuck on memory lane. Thinking about the journey that I’ve taken, the impact we have had. But I should be more like Allen and focus on the positives and not worry about what my legacy will be. After all you know what they say, history is written by the victors. No I shouldn’t worry about the past, I should get busy writing it.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<div style=" border: 2px solid black";"></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>January 2016</strong></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Come in Jack, sit down. It’s nice to finally meet you."</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I was astonished that Mr Packer even knew my name, never mind the warmth he was showing so some random new rookie. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"I meet any new signings on their first day to officially introduce myself. My name is Allen… "</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Mr Packer there isn’t any need to introduce yourself!" </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He looked taken aback by the interruption so I just carried on going. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"It’s a real pleasure to be here, I mean it really is a dream come true sir. I promise to be the most hard working man here. "</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Relax kid, you ain’t here to sell yourself. We’ve already signed your contract… quite a long one as well! No, we have confidence in your abilities Jack. This is just a chance for you to ask us any questions you may have or give any suggestions you might have." </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Suggestions? Is the billionaire owner really asking a 22 year old nobody for their opinion. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Don’t look so surprised. I’ve learnt in my career that the best new idea often comes from the most unlikely source. Well… my door is open if you think of anything." </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Well… there is one thing." </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I couldn’t tell if he looked impressed or annoyed that I actually had a suggestion. I don’t know what gave me the balls to speak up. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"I read that you’ve recently bought out Titanic Productions?" </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I think he was expecting me to come out with some idea for my characters booking or something but I think he was intrigued enough by my question. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"That’s correct… I’m looking for more original content for Reverie. If we’re going to truly get people to cut the cable we’re going to have to start producing our own content. Same reason I bought this place. The success that American Wrestling has seen has encouraged us to branch out. Zombies… Cop dramas… Westerns… You name it we have plans for it to be on Reverie. Why do you ask?"</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I’ve had this idea in my head for some time, I never thought I’d end up pitching it to one of the most powerful people in the world. Here goes nothing. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<div style=" border: 2px solid black";"></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I was only 2 week into my stature with USPW but I’d must have been in this office a dozen times over that period. It didn’t go down too well with all of the boys, but what can I say me and Allen hit it off. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Ok Jack I feel like we’re ready to give this whole thing the green light. Get some adverts made up and start drumming up some interest. I can’t promise you the world. But I’ll provide the platform for you to test the waters." </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I still couldn’t really believe it. ME, the head writer of a USPW weekly tv show. And not just any TV show, we had a lot of ideas to make sure this stood out. This was never going to be your standard wrestling show. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Now I’m sure you’ve heard the rumours. Let’s just say plenty of people aren’t too keen on your idea. Don’t let that worry you, on the contrary, I have a list of people here who have volunteered to be your guinea pigs. Their words not mine." </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I took the list from the desk and gave it a quick scan. It was positive. Some big names. Mostly people currently struggling to get a good spot on American Wrestling but that made sense. Allen made it clear from the get go that this was to be a little side experiment until we got some proper ratings, with that in mind the list was great. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Now as we talked about yesterday I can only give you 30 minutes but I’ve got plenty of hope we’ll get some eyes on it. Have you thought anymore about the problem we talked about?"</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The show was planned to be set within the world of USPW without necessarily being a wrestling show. Using Titanic Productions we’re taking the larger than life characters in USPW and getting a bit more creative with them. Problem was, we still wanted some of it to be set in front of the fans in the arenas. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"I think I might have, as long as we limit ourselves to only having live matches as the last thing on the episodes. What we do is film and edit the on-location stuff throughout the week. Then on Wednesdays when we’re already at arenas for American Wrestling we take advantage of that crowd. We call it a special screening of the episode or something like that. So before American Wrestling kick offs we get the crowd in 30 minutes earlier put Reverie up on the Jumbotron. We air the episode and if we want it to end with an in ring match then we do that live in between the screening and American Wrestling. "</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Allen sat back in his chair. I know my plan sounded convoluted. After all I’m still not certain myself how everything is going to come together. But it meant we could do everything we had planned but still have some of the show filmed live in front of the USPW audience. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

"Well… I’ll pass the idea on to the boys at Titanic, if they say they can work with that. It’s got my approval." </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

We’d past most formalities by now but we still shook hands at the end of our meetings. I got up ready to get to work. I couldn’t help but feel excited about what was to come.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<div style=" border: 2px solid black";"></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I was warming up for my match on the pre show of American Wrestling when I first properly met James. They say wrestlers are often most believable when their character is simply their own personality turned up to 11. Well James Justice is a walking example of this. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

‘Hey man… I’ve heard this thing you got planned is a go, I think that’s really groovy yeah,I think it will be a lot of fun’. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

As a young boy I watched this man tear it up in TCW as Liberty. Nowadays his spot on the card is starting to be questioned, but he’s still undeniably great. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I got a lot of ideas about where we can take everything with you. I want you to be focal point of the show. I’m thinking maybe we..</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Whatever works for you Jack, they say the times are changing fast around here. So I’m happy to go with the flow. If this is the next big thing then consider me in 100 and 10 percent. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

That means a lot man thanks. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Justice was opening the show tonight, losing against the young talent has become somewhat typical for his character which I think is a shame, the man can still go at the top level so that’s where he still belongs in my eyes. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

As James left I pulled my new mask out of my bag. Lil Mexico was my new gimmick. Terrible if you ask me, after all there’s plenty of actual Mexicans who could play the role. But hey I don’t write the A show stuff. My in-ring career wasn’t going so well but I’m perfectly fine paying my dues first. Especially when it lets me focus on the new show. I’d been in talks with Titanic all week about the advert that was airing next month. We didn’t have any actual footage of the show filmed yet so it’s quick and to the point let's just say, it won’t give too much away but hopefully it gets some talking.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<div style=" border: 2px solid black";"></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

All that can be seen on the screen is a small TV showing highlights of James Justice’s career. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Flashing between championship wins, big moments and important promos, the camera pans out to show the TV is one of many in a shop window. A small child is watching intently in the bitter cold outside, punching the air along with his the fighting. The child is pulled away by his Mum as the camera pans back in to show an old clip of Justice on the turnbuckle with the USPW title. The camera pans out for a second time, this time to reveal James himself in a modest but beautiful home. He smiles at the memory, grabs his motorbike keys and exits. As the revving up of the bike can be heard in the background the camera zooms back into the screen. It’s showing James being crowded by USPW fans at signing event. The camera pans out slowly one last time. The sound of James’s bike is replaced with the crackling of fire. All that can be seen are walls of flames. A fireball flies from behind the camera into the TV, causing it too to burst into flames. The camera continues to pan out to reveal a large throne occupied by an imposing figure. It’s Tyson Baine. He cackles deeply. The camera turns around to properly reveal his face. </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Attendance had dropped and financial difficulties followed. With Dan joining me in retirement, Duane Stone was the last member of the family still in active competition. This meant we had to create new stars, and while the intent was undoubtedly there, bad luck and unfortunate timing made for a difficult end to 2015. 2016 began no better, with Damien “The Natural” Carvill suffering a broken ankle, while at home with his family over the new year period.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> Then we lost Steve DeColt.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> Probably the biggest heel in the company, when his contract came up he informed me of his intention to join USPW for money we simply couldn’t match. Again plans were changed, and with some sections of the fans not getting behind Tim Westbrook as Champion, we set up a triple threat which allowed my brother-in-law, Sean McFly, to win the Championship. Probably the best in-ring performer left in the company, the decision was made to play it safe. We may not have been creating a new star, but Sean was well liked by the fans and guaranteed us the level of Main Event that they have come to expect. Soon after, disaster struck.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> In a non-title exhibition match at the Ed Henson Memorial against Sean Deeley, Sean McFly suffered a broken neck. He tried to continue the match, but it was called off as McFly collapsed to the ground. After 24 hours of fearing the worst, the diagnosis from the Doctor - while devastating for the company - came as a relief to the entire family. We were told Sean would make a full recovery, but his wrestling career was over. While Sean insisted that he would eventually return to the ring, plans going forward would have to be made with McFly out of the picture. This included vacating the Canadian Championship (something we’d never been forced to do before). A tournament would be ran to crown the new Champion, but the larger issue - a lack of credible challengers - remained. It was during this time that the situation really hit me. Like myself, Dan and Sean, Duane would not be around forever. Neither would Johnny Bloodstone, or John Maverick. Of the men put into the Championship tournament, half of them were over 40, and even the lower card was dominated by men who have been working - at this highly intense level - for two decades. NOTBPW has never been about having the biggest names, and when some suggested we brought in “stars” from south of the border, everything became clearer. The key to success in this business isn’t about having the biggest names, like Steve DeColt - who will jump ship at the drop of a hat - it is about creating an identity and a culture, a family of performers who help themselves by helping those around them. That loyalty spreads to the fans, and while the personnel may change, their love for this company will not.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> Throughout the best times and the worst times, one thing had remained constant with NOTBPW, and that was the standard of producing excellence from the “House of Stone”. With Dan now committing himself full-time to the training school, the levels were ready to reach another level. It was in turn my responsibility to mould them into the next generation of stars. For a decade the same faces had dominated the same positions at the top of the NOTBPW card, but there was a clear feeling that those times were coming to an end. Of all the family, Duane had always been the most studious and knowledgeable of the wider wrestling business - a curiosity which led him to work in Japan for 5 years. In recent times, the company has favoured sending House of Stone graduates out into the wider world (with some exceptions) giving them the chance to find their identity as performers. Of course, the effects of this are twofold. The idea is for them to eventually return “home” to NOTBPW as more rounded performers. However, as we have seen, many of them fall by the wayside - with the lax “standards” and unprofessional atmosphere of many independent promotions instilling bad habits in talent from early ages. These habits can be hard to train out of a worker who feels they have already “paid their dues”. One promotion which has proved beneficial to many of the Stone-graduates has been ACPW, with whom we enjoy a healthy relationship.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> Given Duane had been involved with scouting and discovering many of the young talents coming into NOTBPW in recent years (going as far as attending some ACPW and 4C events within the last year), I asked him to source some “tapes” of the graduates, to be studied by Sean (McFly), in order to keep him busy during his recovery. It has becoming increasingly clear since his injury that nothing will keep Sean way from the business. Given his contribution to NOTBPW over the last 15 years, there will always be a place for him in this company. Even if his wrestling days were over, a mind as sharp has Sean’s could be vital in bringing the next generation to the required level, offering his expert advice and eye for the small details. This wouldn’t just be limited to our homegrown talent, but any of the independent talents who Duane deems to have the potential to work with us. With Duane’s focus switching to spearheading the company on-screen, his role as talent scout would conveniently be transitioned to Sean McFly over the next year.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> Unlike myself and Dan, many of the business’ young stars work in a style more in the image of Duane and Sean McFly, rejecting the more methodical approach in favour of an “exciting, all action” style. This approach inevitably leads to increased injuries but, caught early enough, that potential can be channelled and refined, creating a new generation of performers in the NOTBPW image. This is one of the major plus points of Dan’s new role at the “House of Stone”. There we can mould performers from day one, as they learn from one of the greatest minds in the history of Canadian wrestling. While foreign talent can undoubtedly provide interesting seasoning to the roster, it is my belief is that only homegrown talent can truly understand the traditions and identity of a promotion. From a young age, Canadian wrestlers were inspired and encouraged by those who they saw on our Television show, and it is that respect and reverence for the promotion which can not be replicated by those from the US, Mexico or Japan (with some exceptions). This is why the House of Stone - and the rest of Canada generally - is the world leader at producing elite level “Pro Wrestlers”. With Japan a close second, the American “entertainers” of recent years struggle to even come close to rivaling our in-ring quality. TCW may have tried, but from a pure wrestling standpoint they are still some distance behind.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> With those foundations in place, NOTBPW’s prerogative has not been to engage in revolution, but rather evolution. Looking to the products of our own training school, and the plethora of talent at our disposal in this country, it would be financially irresponsible and story sighted to look to “stars” from the US to boost our company’s profile. Instead, while a temporary downtime may be a necessary evil, investing in our own talent will give us the best chance of creating that next “golden generation”, which I believe will benefit the business as a whole.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> This makes April 2016 a key moment in the history of NOTBPW. While the current crop - undoubtedly the most talented in the history of our sport - may not quite be ready to “ride off into the sunset”, it is essential that we look forward to tomorrow. To do this, we must take the men and women who grew up watching these iconic figures, and allow them first hand experience at the hands of their heroes and idols. It is this “passing of the torch” which will provide both the knowledge and the motivation to build a new golden generation of Canadian Wrestling. With the current crop still very much at the top of their game, we are provided with this unique landscape, and it would be both reckless and foolish to fail to utilise this opportunity. </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Palatino Linotype';"> From the time I entered the business, there was not a show that went by without a peer of my father’s recounting a classic story, or a contemporary of mine sharing their memories of watching my father’s generation as they toured the country. For us it was normal, but to hear of how our father inspired others - in the same way he inspired his own children - filled all of us with immense pride. More recently, the trend changed. Instead of talking about working with, or watching our father as children, increasingly we are told about watching myself, Dan Jr. and the rest of the family. To realise that these youngsters view us, with the same respect that we saw the previous generation, is humbling, but also speaks to the great responsibility we have. Now more than ever, we must harbour that hunger and passion, those same feeling we felt at the beginning of our journeys, to provide a bridge to the next generation. Different in numerous ways, given how the world has changed around us, there is one thing that binds one generation to the next. That is the traditions and the culture of North of the Border Pro Wrestling. I do not deny that great talent can be found all over the world, nor that great wrestling can come in many forms. But for The Stone Family, and the future of our company - Excellence Begins at Home!</span></div></div></div></div></div></blockquote>

Although I've not really been active enough to properly follow it, it would be a shame if it's the end of USWL but I do like NOTBPW and the bits of Canadian Classic I remember. I know even in 2013 they had the same problems as your post talks about and so now 3 years on they are in a pretty desperate state. I'm 18 months into my current save and they are still putting on good shows but using the same old people so surely it can't last. So the whole focusing on building up a loyal new era is interesting.

Makes me think it's a shame the loyalty system is only in Japan. Obviously the current system only really suits Japan but you could still have a stricter criteria where every so often Western workers gain loyalty

TNA A new War

TNA Impact Wrestling

THE NEW WAR

What would you do if the company that was your baby, that was once considered a true competitor to the biggest wrestling company in the world. Jeff Jarrett now finds his way back in to TNA as a majority share holder. While a company holds the actual ownership of TNA they have given the reigns back to Jarrett in running day to day operations with strict rules that he is not to appear on television at any point in time. So with that Jeff Jarrett set out to resurrect the company he had started. With the financial backing of a multi-billion dollar company Jarrett finally has the money and man power to make one last run at the competitor.

Jarrett’s first step was to start a developmental territory, successfully starting ELITE Pro Wrestling. With owner Tom Pritchard and head booker Scott D’Amore it is sure to build the success of young talent from across the globe. Jarrett and his board of directors have brought in the best of the best to build through the years with an obvious plan set in place to be around for a long time.

Jarrett has offered big money contracts to two of NJPW top stars, Kenny Omega and Tetsuya Naito. While we don’t expect both men to be stars right away, we could see these two someday lead the company as both are penciled in to debut very quickly once they sign.

Will Jeff Jarrett be able to be competition again, or will he fail where he once failed setting a stage for a bigger mockery of his career? Only Jarrett can help with that, and he has his sights set on taking out the WWE once and for all.

I know this is not a TEW 2016 thread but since the special dynasties section doesn't have a preview section....

GDS- BATTLE OF THE BOOKERS

THE PREMISE

Basically, it’s a wrestling fantasy draft. Each competitor(probably around 8 or 10) draft wrestlers from any time in wrestling history - living or dead - in order to create super cards. After drafting their rosters, individuals are then placed in a tournament to try to defeat their opponents to become King of the Bookers.

However, unlike the dynasty section of GDS, this draft will not utilize TEW 2016. Individuals will not have to worry about creating companies, fitting to company settings, worrying about stats, etc. I know mods like War of the Immortals exist(which is a good mod to check out, and one of the more fun ones), but I feel like individuals still wouldn’t have the freedom to truly construct the rosters without limitations. Plus, my intention for this would be for bookers- whether they are new to GDS or bonafide dynasty writers and mod makers - to lean back and have fun without working within TEW.

Feel free to check it out in the Special Dynasties section, and if you want in, feel free to give a shout! We've got some spots left!

Also if this should be moved, just let me know!
