Diary Preview And Questions Thread

Recommended Posts

I am currently about 10 months ahead in-game of my diary (NJPW 2019 - Long Term), so I am thinking of slowing down (in-game) so that my writing can catch up to it a bit.

In the meantime I am considering starting a new dynasty on the side with NXT UK, I understand to do this without booking the entire WWE product I'll need to edit the relationship with WWE and make it a working agreement instead of a developmental/child company agreement. Do you think it's possible to run a successful federation this way? We would still have the WWE Network broadcasting deal for the TV Show/Events and all the workers contracts would have to change from developmental to written/PPA. I think the hardest part would be that basically no workers in the Fleisch mod have any pop in the UK, even Pete Dunne has like E pop in the British Isles I believe, so it could absolutely stink and fail.

I'm also contemplating a PROGRESS dynasty or perhaps Dragon Gate. Thoughts?

I'd be a little concerned with AI Vince dumping the working agreement and going to war. You might be better off putting NXT UK into an alliance with WWE. I imagine you'd be running a product that doesn't rely overmuch on popularity, so the low pop might not hurt you too much. Could probably work but I'd do a quick test run first once you've made edits to see if any problems crop up.

<div style="font:15px Roboto Slab;width: 800px;text-align:justify;">Full match card is available in the thread for predictions to be made and as always, feedback to be given :) thanks again for the support!

I also have a Twitter account now that I'm going to be using to support the diary with tweets here and there regarding matches being announced - the usual stuff you'd see posted on Twitter from the likes of WWE, AEW, etc. You can see that here - <a href="https://twitter.com/Elliottt93">@Elliottt93</a></div>

Hi all, apologies if this is the wrong thread but since it says questions I figure I'm in the right place. I was just wondering, if I want to use a picture pack for a diary (putting in worker's pictures for matches, etc.), would I need to get the pack maker's permission first?

Thanks y'all, let me know if I'm in the wrong spot for this.

I believe the answer is no but I have never run a Real World diary so I do not know for a fact.

Asking this ahead of time because I actually plan on doing a long term diary for 2020. The company I want to play as was made a couple months after the start of a mod, and I’m wondering if I should edit the mod to make it more current for the events of the next few months (something I am 100 percent willing to do) or keep it in the same time as the mod. The advantages to not editing were that some cool guys who would sign to bigger companies within the next couple of months are still on the table, but some people who were big players for this company in real life are also still signed. What should I do?

Just a quick post to give a bit of reasoning for the recent lull in shows - I've been working on a big project to run alongside the diary. Just something I've wanted to do and allow the diary to grow beyond the usual restrictions. The next episode of SmackDown will be coming soon, just been trying to focus my time into this project to get it complete ready for a launch in the near future. Thanks for the continued support.

<p>A Shameless Plug</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>I thought I might join in the fun and shamelessly plug my diary. You might too. Here's the latest post. Why not check the diary out if you have time, etc etc...</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/GBW.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/Chapter_8_Post_Show.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Sabrina Casaraghi, known to the world of Great British Wrestling as Jokey, was an enigma. A fangirl favourite with a vocal online following. The first female member of a company that would go on to feature some of the finest womens wrestling talent on the planet. She showed courage in being the first in GBW to fight her male peers, making a mockery of gender boundries and the old, sexist attitudes that have dogged wrestling for generations. Yet she was also dangerously under-trained, not particularly talented and at times a genuine risk to the safety of others. She was all of the above, and so much more. A dream and a nightmare in one small, plucky Italian frame. </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

The time had come for me to make a decision. Unfortunately there was no right answer, no 'good guy' move to use and no moral high ground to call upon. No matter what actions I chose, whether I let her stay or showed her the door, I'd come out looking like crap. In the end I did neither. Will history judge me as wise or stupid for letting things happen the way they did? Even now, all these years on I have no clue. I write these memoirs of GBW's history to try and kill some of the rumours and bullshit that's been said about my company. But I look back on this time with unseasy ambiguity.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

I want to make it absolutely clear that despite being the least talented member of an uninspiring roster, I never once criticised her for her performances, or put pressure on her in any way. It was entirely her decision to leave, as she was homesick for her friends and family back in Italy. It made sense - the rainy, freezing cold, dog-shit covered streets of England must've seemed like a poor substitute for the sun-drenched plazas of home. </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

</span></span></div></div></div></div><span>http://www.twistededge.org/Jokey2.jpg</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

She was annoyed that I made to attempt whatsoever to stop her from going. So she waited until I was surrounded by the entire GBW roster before dropping this little bomb on me: </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>she made me promise that her replacement could not be a man.</strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> I was absolutely cool with that. The whole of Great British Wrestling witnessed that promise, and I would be true to my word and keep it. It was only the later subsequent promises which would turn a nice gesture into a catastrophic pain in my arse.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Jokey's tag partner Eddie Vega had eventually agreed with my suggestion that he be pushed as a solo competitor. But he sorely missed his "muse". He needed someone to bounce his twisted ideas off. A partner in crime; an accomplice in his war on the mental wellbeing of GBWs younger fans. He made me promise, in front of a whole bunch of witnesses, that </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Jokey would be replaced immediately with a new signing who would genuinely scare the crap out of people.</strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Eddie was travelling all the way from Scandinavia every month and basically working for crumbs. I'd hired him on promises of tag team glory, which I'd suddenly just ripped away from him. I couldn't exactly say "no" to the guy, could I? So I made a promise, and thanks to everyone hearing it, I'd be forced to back it up or look like a total prick.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Then after the show I kicked myself in the nuts again with another shitty promise. Nathan Cruz had been an unofficial spokesman for the locker room since day one. He was their voice, their go-to guy - the most influential member of the roster. I had to keep this guy sweet, especially considering he was the one who'd raised the whole Jokey issue in the first place. He blindsided me and made me promise that </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Jokey's replacement could not be another woman.</strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> This was nothing to do with bigotry or sexism. Cruz and his followers had no problem at all sharing a ring with female wrestlers, would happily take losses to women and were fine with putting female superstars over. But Cruz and the locker-room collective had looked carefully at the sutuation. There'd been a number of occasions where Jokey's lack of skill had left her male counterparts with everything from concussions to fractured ribs. She wasn't just bad, she was dangerous. There were some </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>hugely</em></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> talented female wrestlers on the scene at the time who I'd have </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>loved</em></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> to welcome to the GBW family. But all of them were either tied up by commitmentments elsewhere, or put off by the fact we were a microscopic little fed in the middle of nowhere with zero prestige and even less credibility. Plus all the top female wrestlers sought financial parity with their male competitors, which in laymen's terms meant they were </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>really, really expensive</em></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">. There were local drunken hobos in nearby alleyways with more money than GBW, and everybody knew it. So if I was forced to hire a woman, the roster feared it would be someone of Jokey's ilk - cheap and terrible. Cruz and the rest of the male GBW crew would happily embrace a top class female fighter. They just knew I was too much of a punk to get them one. Frankly nobody wanted the risk of getting their necks broken by someone who wasn't talented enough or safe enough to hang with them.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

So I had one hell of a dilemma. Thanks to my big mouth I now had to hire a replacement for Jokey immediately or I'd forever be seen as an untrustworthy arsehole liar. That replacement had to be a woman, otherwise I'd look like an untrustworthy arsehole liar. But the replacement could not be a woman, or else I would have made myself out to be a total untrustworthy arsehole liar. And also whoever I did manage to get had to be terrifying, otherwise I'd look like a total shitbag liar. What a pickle. </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Fortunately I did the best possible thing in that situation - I got incredibly drunk. It was my tangled, booze-soaked, intoxicated little brain that solved this connundrum, and many more after it. I made a hiring that broke no promises whatsoever. It was a masterstroke. It was genuis. It was brilliant. Screw modesty and all that crap. Screw down-playing my achievements. Hell, it was the most creative hiring in British wrestling history. And anyone who disagrees certainly had to admit my next move was unique in all of wrestling. And best of all, the fans of GBW wouldn't have to wait long to see what my devious little brain had come up with.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

When TEW 2020 is released, would it be possible to have our diaries in this section of the forum moved to the new 2020 Dynasties section? I intend on continuing my save with the new game and don't really want to start a whole new thread.

I'm pretty sure it has happened with previous versions.

Ever feel like you're stuck in a rut?

YqJhvcS.jpg

"I'll say."

Beaten down by the same daily grind, almost like every day's just like the last?

YqJhvcS.jpg

"You better believe it, I've been reliving 2016 for like four years now, and I'm not even a Yank!"

Well friends, there is hope.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Hope?"

There is change.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"How much we talking here?"

Because it's 2020, and that means we're in the future.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Heck yeah, where's my flying car, Musk?"

It's time for a new breed of diary.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Can it be a pomeranian, love those little guys..."

A new adventure with the Cornellverse's most colorful cast of characters.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Don't get much more colorful than me, a black and white skeleton man!"

With a new twist.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"More of a thriller dance man, myself."

Everyone has super powers.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Say what?"

You heard me, everyone has super powers in ZEN in this diary.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Really!?"

Go ahead, try it out.

Halloween Knight lifts his hands and a zombie pops out of the ground.

EwkRl99.jpg

"Braaaaiiiinnssssss..."

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Holy smokes, AND he has a red background! Hmm..."

Knight starts gesturing his fingers, laughing maniacally as legions of the undead rise from the ground...and start doing the thriller dance.

YqJhvcS.jpg

"Oh THIS will be fun, NYEHEHEEHHEHEHEHE~! THRILLAAAAAAA~! THRILLER NIGHT~!"

ZEN: WHEN IN DOUBT, RIPOFF COMICS AND ANIME

With everything going on with the COVID19 virus and being housebound for the foreseeable future, I am thinking about running a short-term diary to run until the new game comes out at the end of April. I am thinking about either a USPW diary or a WWF 1991 diary that tries to make it as close to WrestleMania as possible. Thoughts? Anyone interested in another angel diary before the new game arrives?

I have kind of an odd question, but this is the questions thread. I was unable to access this account when I bought a new computer and forgot my password for my email account. I created a new account to start posting a diary I was working on...being this: Link

Should I continue writing it on the new account or take over from this one? I honestly don't know what makes more sense o-o Or should I make a new topic as a continuation?

ANY help is appreciated <3

Just a quick update from me - hope everyone is staying safe!

Had the unfortunate timing of moving house during this time and as the UK is on lockdown, cannot get any internet or TV during this time due to engineers not being allowed. So I’m stuck with no connection, meaning updating the diary is difficult. I’m hoping to get some sort of temporary connection soon as I’m itching to write and continue with the diary. If I have to connect my PC to my phones data then I will do! But anyone wondering, I’m still around and there will be an episode of Raw as soon as I can finish it off.

Again, hope everyone is staying safe during this crazy time :)
