I'm playing JCP and I noticed the starting storylines are a little behind for March of 1987.</p><p> </p><p> I'm using this as my primary source:</p><p> </p><p> <a href="http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com/jcp87.htm" rel="external nofollow">http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com/jcp87.htm</a></p><p> </p><p> Seems like the storylines are:</p><p> </p><p> BVR has just vocalized that he'll be siding with Dusty and Nikita against Ivan, Murdoch and Petrov.</p><p> </p><p> Blanchard and Ole have just started to go at one another over Ole's kid being "snot nosed" with Arn yet to pick a side (he chooses the Horsemen at the first TV of March 87).</p><p> </p><p> The Midnight Express have just had the titles they stole (without winning) from Windham and Ron Garvin taken back from them by Jim Crockett Jr. And Cornette threw a fireball at Ron Garvin, bringing Jimmy Garvin into the mix. Precious is also involved for some reason.</p><p> </p><p> And finally Ric Flair doesn't seem to have a storyline outside of being the champion, randomly harassing Precious, and fighting babyfaces from all over the world at whim.</p><p> </p><p> Edit:</p><p> </p><p> Dennis Condrey has a contract with the AWA instead of an exclusive PPA with JCP.</p><p> </p><p> Baron Von Rashke doesn't have a PPA with JCP.</p><p> </p><p> Ole Anderson is a babyface and said to have turned a year ago. Rick Savant Posted June 1, 2016 Share Posted June 1, 2016 <p>Sorry to be spamming you, but I'm thinking about the Midnight Express...</p><p> </p><p> So in real life Dennis Condrey disappears without a trace on March 25th, 1987... three weeks into the mod. </p><p> </p><p> So, it seems like the game should start with Condrey/Eaton and then there should be a narrative for Condrey's disappearance. Stan Lane is mentioned on TV in February, so he was clearly signed, but doesn't debut until March 14th.</p><p> </p><p> There doesn't seem to be a narrative for "worker disappears without a trace". Only in wrestling do situations as messy as these arise. We try to create the best possible workaround for every situation like this but it can be hard. </p><p> </p><p> The best way I think to handle it is to edit his retirement date so he should most likely finish up his career that year. A lot of guys have retirements dates set because of things like this, so many workers debuted and then retired 3 or 4 years later so it helps to fit reality. I'm not in front of the computer at the moment so can't check if he has a retirement date set but will check soon.</p><p> </p><p> I think the injury narrative may not work as he will just return to being an active worker when healed. This is the first mod I've ever done that doesn't have 'Go to the editor' notes, I really didn't like them as a lot of people missed them via simming or not paying attention and it's immersion breaking. He even worked WWE in August.</p><p> </p><p> You're primary source is great by the way, Wrestlingdata.com is always another good cross reference as history of misses AWA and others.</p><p> </p><p> Oh and...Eaton and Lane were tagging in April in JCP. Did Condrey not take his ball home...I'd need to go watch some shoot interview footage. Thehistoryofwwe.com has his match on March 24th listed as "Condrey's last appearance for 18 months". Beejus Posted June 1, 2016 Share Posted June 1, 2016 That actually sounds like a pretty simple fix then; Dennis could get your standard "one month contract plus tension/dislike of Crockett" so that he leaves at the end of the month. That way he leaves the company at the end of the month and then could still return by 1989, for if players go through recreating the MX vs. MX feud.
