From all I have read about it, Vince was actually a little sour about the ordeal, as he wanted to be the one cashing in on the popularity of the Sarge's likeness, but was unable to. Vince really thought that Iraqi Sympathizer would be the Russians 2.0 I guess. The problem is a large part of the country barely knew anything about Iraq let alone viewed them as "villains" before this. To where as when he did his fear mongering, foreign evil before it was countries like Iran, Russia, countries that we had a deeper history with and a more villainous history with. Kinda strange that JCP out "McMahon'd" him with the whole Russians thing. They did way more with communism and Russia, and evil foreigners than Vince did. I still maintain that Koloff vs. Hogan at Wrestlemania II in something like a "russian chain match" would have made all the money.
