[The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia is the site for this episode of WCW Saturday Night. Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Magnum T.A. welcome everyone to the show and talk briefly about the six man tag main event this evening before we are brought to the ring and the arrival of one of the newest ladies in World Championship Wrestling, the veteran wrestler The Fabulous Moolah! Moolah gets a mixed reaction from this crowd as she walks down to the ring wearing a cape on her back and her typical wrestling gear. She enters the ring and asks for a microphone. She looks around and shakes her head, telling the crowd that this is not the type of audience she is used to wrestling in front of. She says that a fabulous wrestler such as herself should be in front of an audience that can appreciate her talent. But she has come to WCW for one reason and one reason only and that is to become the WCW World Women's Champion. She has come to prove, once again, that she is the best by stepping on the necks of every single women's wrestler in this company. There's fly-by-night wrestlers like Malia Hosaka or Rockin' Robin. There's wrestlers that don't even deserve her attention like Madusa Miceli. She says that at the end of the day there is only one fabulous wrestler in this company and that is the Fabulous Moolah! She might have continued her insults but she is interrupted by some music playing.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WCW_1991/WendiRichter.jpg

[it's Wendi Richter! The announcers talk about the long history between these two women. Richter high fives the fans on her way down to the ring with Moolah yelling at her from inside the ring. Moolah is telling her not to come down to the ring. She is telling her not to bother with these ignorant fans. Richter enters the ring and begins by saying that these fans are the ones who pay their salary. These fans are the ones that they need to show respect to. But then Moolah would know nothing about respect, would she? She doesn't respect the business and the women who bust their butts inside this ring each and every night to entertain the fans who pay their hard-earned money. The only thing that Moolah has any respect for is spiders, isn't that right, Moolah? Moolah says that she did her job and she would do it again. Richter claims that she will be the first WCW World Women's Champion cleanly. Moolah disagrees and says that she will be the first WCW World Women's Champion. The argument leads to a match set up for next week between Moolah and Richter. Richter throws in a stipulation for the match. The loser of the match will not be able to compete to become the first WCW World Women's Champion. Moolah agrees and says she will beat Richter like she has done before. Richter leaves the ring without any physicality being shown in this argument. Moolah leaves shortly after.]

Match #1

Winner Moves On To The Ultimate Sacrifice Match At SuperBrawl: Crossroads

15 Minute Time Limit Match

Buddy Landel vs. Bob Backlund

[The opening contest here tonight is to determine the final wrestler in the Ultimate Sacrifice match at SuperBrawl: Crossroads. This is a very solid technical bout between these two wrestlers that has a lot of mat wrestling. Early in the bout, Backlund catches Landel with an atomic drop and then a clothesline to the back of the head. Backlund climbs to the second turnbuckle and goes for a diving knee drop but Landel rolls out of the way and Backlund's knee crashes on the mat. Landel goes right after the knee, brutalizing the knee in the way that only a Nature Boy can. Landel goes for the Figure Four but Backlund rolls him into a small package that only gets a two count when Landel kicks out. Landel gets right up and goes right back for the knee of Backlund, stomping on it and then locking in a kneebar. Backlund shakes his head, refusing to submit. Landel eventually releases the hold and lifts Backlund into a corner. He hits knife-edge chops on Backlund's chest and Backlund staggers out of the corner in pain. Landel kicks Backlund in the gut and goes for a vertical suplex but Backlund blocks the suplex. He lifts Landel instead and brings him over in a snap suplex before grabbing his knee in pain. Landel crawls into a corner and reaches into his trunks, pulling out a chain. He wraps the chain around his fist and huddles in the corner, waiting for Backlund. Backlund is slow to get to his feet. He stands in the center of the ring and Landel moves over, throwing a punch but Backlund ducks the punch. He wraps his arms around Landel and pushes him into the ropes, bringing him over in a roll-up that sends the chain flying out of the ring: One, Two, Three! Bob Backlund advances to the Ultimate Sacrifice match!]

Winner: Bob Backlund (Via Pinfall @ 12:23)

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WCW_1991/BobBacklund.jpg

[The interview stage is shown following the replay of Backlund's victory. Dusty Rhodes is standing by with the winner of that bout, Bob Backlund. Rhodes congratulates Backlund on the victory and going to the pay window but says that now he must enter the Ultimate Sacrifice match and make a decision on what he is willing to give up if he gets pinned or forced to submit. Backlund says that he plans on going into that match and winning the match so he doesn't have to worry about sacrificing anything. However, he has been thinking about what he has that's important to him to put on the line in this contest. He has come to the decision that if he gets pinned or forced to submit, he will retire from professional wrestling forever. That person will get his career. But, he says, he cannot go into a match thinking he is going to lose. He says he has a lot of respect for the other three men in the contest. However, he knows that he can beat them. But anything can happen when you have four men in the ring together. Rhodes says that he knows that's a big test of faith in putting your career on the line. He wishes Backlund all the luck in the world in eight days when he steps into the Ultimate Sacrifice match. With that, he sends things up to the ring announcer for our next contest.]

10 Minute Time Limit Match

The Royal Family vs. The Fantastics

[Our next contest is tag team action as The Royal Family step into the ring to take on The Fantastics. This is Bobby Fulton and Tommy Roger's first match back here in WCW and they look great against the team of Rip Morgan and Jack Victory. Jack Victory was definitely the weak link on his tag team and he is forced in the ring most of the time against a dominating Fantastics team. Bobby Fulton scores a near-victory when he catches Victory with a diving elbow drop off the top turnbuckle. But he only scores a two count on the ensuing pinfall. He tags in Tommy Rogers and Rogers keeps the fast pace going, knocking Rip Morgan off the apron and then catching Victory with a dropkick. He focuses on Victory, catching him with the move known as The Tomikaze. It is a reverse double underhook facebuster created by Tommy Rogers himself. With Victory planted on the mat, he tags in Fulton and Fulton heads for the top turnbuckle. Rogers stands in the corner, grabbing the hands of Fulton and they catch Victory with the Fantastic Flip, an assisted somersault senton bomb! Fulton makes the cover, hooking the leg: One, Two, Three! The Fantastics look great in picking up the win eight days before they compete for the WCW World Tag Team titles!]

Winners: The Fantastics (Via Pinfall @ 5:59)

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WCW_1991/RicFlair.jpg

[it is time, once again, for the Wrestling News Network hosted by Gordon Solie! Solie talks about this being the Wrestling NEWS Network but he has heard a rumor going around backstage that he feels he must address here tonight. There is a rumor that Eric Bischoff is working on a brand new show featuring WCW wrestlers to debut after SuperBrawl this year. He says that as far as he knows the rumors are, indeed, accurate. He says that he has been informed that, next week, we will hear a major announcement from Eric Bischoff regarding this and a decision that Bischoff claims will change the entire wrestling landscape. He says that he knows that everyone will be looking forward to that. Bischoff's last announcement was the advent of the Crossroads matches at SuperBrawl and the Ultimate Sacrifice match in the main event. Speaking of The Ultimate Sacrifice match, we know that Sting will put up the WCW World Heavyweight title, Rick Rude will put up his hair and Bob Backlund will put up his career. But we do not know what Ric Flair will put up in this contest. Perhaps we will find out now as Solie sends us to a pre-taped interview with The Nature Boy.]

[Ric Flair is shown in front of a WCW logo background. He says that the WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff has given him this time to speak about the Ultimate Sacrifice match at SuperBrawl. He says that Bischoff told him that he has to name what he is putting up in this match. He says that he has a lot of things that he has that other people might want. He lives in a big house on the big side of town. He has custom made clothes, Rolex watches, alligator shoes that cost more than what most people make in a year. But there is one thing that is more precious to him than all of that. He says that he is putting on the line the survival of the Four Horsemen in WCW. If he is pinned or submits, the Four Horsemen will be disbanded as a unit. But that's not going to happen because those three men are going to have to walk that aisle against the best wrestler in the business. They will have to face the limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling, dealing son of a gun. Ric Flair says he's the best wrestler in the business today. He's better than Sting. He's better than Bob Backlund. He's even better than Rick Rude. He says that he will prove it in eight days when he becomes the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Whoooo!]

Match #3

10 Minute Time Limit Match

Ric Flair vs. Atlantis

[Our third match this evening features the man we just heard from in The Nature Boy Ric Flair taking on the high flying luchador Atlantis. Atlantis is a seven year pro and it shows in the early going against Flair. He catches Flair with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker early on in the match, scoring a one count before Flair kicks out. Flair rolls out of the ring to take a breather but a breather is not something that can be had outside the ring against a luchador. Atlantis bounces off the ropes and goes for a Pescado but Flair moves out of the way and Atlantis lands hard on the mats at ringside. He grabs his knee, having twisted it on the fall and Flair pulls up Atlantis, going to work on the knee outside the ring and then inside the ring. Flair shoves Atlantis back into a corner and lights up his chest with those hard knife-edge chops. After three, Atlantis staggers out of the corner and Flair hits a chop block to the knee, bringing Atlantis to the mat. Flair grabs the legs and locks in the Figure Four Leglock in the center of the ring. The masked luchador tries to fight through the pain. The crowd tries to get behind him but he is forced to submit, giving The Nature Boy the win.]

Winner: Ric Flair (Via Submission @ 5:32)

[Just like last week, a video is shown promoting the WCW debut of the team known as The Miracle Violence Connection. The man known as Dr. Death is shown hitting a Doctor Bomb on a Japanese wrestler, slamming him down to the mat. Terry Bam Bam Gordy is shown hitting another Japanese wrestler with a high angle belly-to-back suplex. These two men are shown giving a promo, talking about how they dominated the Japanese wrestling scene but it's time to come back to America. They say that they are coming back to the top wrestling promotion in America when they come to WCW. They reiterate that it doesn't matter who the WCW World Tag Team Champions are when they come to this company. They will dominate each and every team in America just like they have done in Japan. A voiceover says that that this team will make their American debut in two weeks right here on WCW Saturday Night. With that, we move back to the ring for our next contest.]

Match #4

10 Minute Time Limit Match

Barry Windham vs. Wahoo McDaniel

[The fourth match of the evening is a match that could be a main event anywhere in the United States as Barry Windham of the Four Horsemen takes on the Native American Wahoo McDaniel. McDaniel is putting his headdress down in his corner when Windham rushes over and attacks Wahoo. He rams McDaniel's head in the corner and then brings him down with a body slam. Windham picks up the headdress and puts it on his head, dancing around the ring and mocking McDaniel. He takes off the headdress and puts it in the mouth of McDaniel, choking him with it. The referee warns Windham and removes the headdress from the ring. The crowd begins a chant of 'Wahoo, Wahoo!' Three minutes into the match, Windham goes for a German Suplex but McDaniel blocks it and spins around. He tosses Windham with a release German Suplex of his own. McDaniel begins a war dance around the ring, chopping down Windham when Windham gets to his feet. He picks up Windham and lifts him on his shoulders but Windham struggles and falls behind McDaniel. He spins McDaniel around and brings him down with a lariat. Windham picks up McDaniel and brings him to a corner. He lifts McDaniel up on the top turnbuckle and then climbs up -- Superplex! Windham floats over into a cover, hooking the leg: One, Two, Three!]

Winner: Barry Windham (Via Pinfall @ 6:14)

[Once the ring is cleared, Owen Hart makes his way out to the ring. He high fives the fans in the front row before he enters the ring and is given a microphone. Hart says that he has been representing WCW as the World Television Champion for a month. He says that he has defended this belt against anyone and everyone that has wanted a match. So he has decided to put an open challenge in the back for a match against him tonight. He says that he takes pride in being trained in the Dungeon in Canada. He says that some of the best wrestlers in the world were trained in that Dungeon. He says that wrestlers like Superstar Billy Graham and Greg Valentine are among the graduates of the Dungeon. Not to mention all of his brothers, of course. So the time for talking has come to an end. He invites the person who signed his open challenge to come out and meet him in the ring and get their shot at the WCW World Television title. There is silence for a moment and then someone comes out that Owen does not expect.]

WCW World Television Title Match

10 Minute Time Limit Match

Owen Hart defends vs. Keith Hart

[That someone is his older brother Keith Hart. Keith enters the ring and shakes hands and hugs his brother as the referee shows them both the WCW World Television title. The bell sounds and Keith goes for one more hug with his brother. But he turns that into a belly-to-belly suplex! Keith makes the cover: One, Two, Kickout! Almost a new champion in the very first minute of this contest. This contest goes back and forth within the first two minutes of the contest. The older Hart catches his brother with a couple of European Uppercuts, knocking him back into a corner. Keith Irish whips Owen across the ring and then charges after him -- Owen catches Keith with a body scissors. He twists that into a rollup, scoring a two count on his brother. Owen gets to his feet first and catches Keith with a kick to the head and then a standing enzuigiri that brings Keith back down to the mat. Owen lifts Keith and brings him over with a gutwrench suplex and then heads to the top turnbuckle. He waits for his older brother to reach his feet -- Missile Dropkick! He connects on Keith with his finisher and makes the cover: One, Two, Three! Another successful title defense by Owen Hart!]

[A video begins that takes place inside of a large mansion. Sitting in front of a desk is the lovely Alexandra York. She has a brand new laptop and seems to be inputting information into the computer. After all, her men have a title defense in eight days against three other tag teams. A door opens in the background revealing a towel-clad Sid Vicious. Vicious walks over to where York is sitting and gives her a kiss on the back of the head. He tells her that in eight days they will not just have the United States Tag Team titles, they will also have the United States title when he beats those three other men. York says she knows that he is going to win the title because he's going to have the help of the laptop computer. From another door, in comes Michael Wallstreet. He gives an angered look toward Sid Vicious and Alexandra York. He tells Vicious that he needs to stop distracting Alexandra York. She needs to finish inputting the information into the computer so that they make sure the York Foundation keeps the United States Tag Team titles. Vicious says that Wallstreet is just jealous because York wants him. He says that he's better than Wallstreet could ever be. Wallstreet begins approaching Vicious, seemingly ready to fight. York stands up between the two men and tells them both to grow up. She grabs her laptop and walks away from the scene. Wallstreet and Vicious stare at each other and Wallstreet tells Vicious not to distract York or there will be trouble. The scene ends with a staredown between the two York Foundation members.]

10 Minute Time Limit Match

Bull Nakano and Debbie Combs vs. Team America (Misty Blue and Heidi Lee Morgan)

[it's women tag team action this evening as Bull Nakano teams with Debbie Combs against the team of Misty Blue and Heidi Lee Morgan. All four women get some offense in during the match, showcasing the talent of WCW's Women's Division. Misty Blue hits Debbie Combs with a slingshot suplex early in the contest and might have scored a quick win if not for Bull Nakano coming in and breaking up the pinfall. Blue heads to the top turnbuckle and goes for the Misty Dive but Combs rolls out of the way and quickly tags in Nakano. A 'USA' chant gets loud in the arena as Nakano goes right after Blue. She chokes her on the middle rope for a four count from the referee before slingshotting her off the middle rope. Nakano goes over and knocks Heidi Lee Morgan off the apron with a forearm shot. Morgan quickly enters the ring but the referee cuts her off. In comes Debbie Combs and she and Nakano catch Blue with a double flapjack. Combs holds Blue down while Nakano heads for the top turnbuckle. Nakano leaps and lands on Blue with the diving guillotine legdrop! Nakano makes the cover: One, Two, Three!]

Winners: Bull Nakano and Debbie Combs (Via Pinfall @ 5:36)

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WCW_1991/Sting.jpg

[From the ring and women's action, we go to a pre-taped promo featuring one of the participants in our main event this evening, the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Sting! Sting is standing in front of a WCW background, bouncing on his heels as he is fired up as he usually is. He says that in eight days he is going to step inside the ring and face three other men where the only one he can trust to give him a clean match is Bob Backlund. He says that he has had his battles with Ric Flair in the past. He knows that Flair is the dirtiest player in the game. He knows what he's getting into with Flair. Then, there's Rick Rude along with that pipsqueak manager of his, Paul E. Dangerously. He says that he can expect Dangerously to get involved with his cell phone but he's ready for that. There's two other men who might feel the cell phone. He says that at SuperBrawl, he can admit that he doesn't want to end Bob Backlund's career. He says that he has a lot of respect for a legend of Bob Backlund's stature. That leaves him with dissolving the Horsemen or cutting Rick Rude's hair. He says that both of those are appealing to him. But, most importantly, he wants to walk away still the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. That means making sure that his shoulders are not pinned to the mat and that he is not put in a position to submit. He says that he knows he has the power of all the little Stingers in the audience. With them at his side, how can he lose? He says that in eight days he proves why he is the champ. He releases a howl and we go to the ring for our main event.]

TV Time Remaining Match

The Dangerous Alliance (Rick Rude, Larry Zbyszko and Bobby Eaton) vs. Brian Pillman, Sting and Lex Luger

[Our main event contest tonight is a six man tag team match and what a match this should be! After what the Dangerous Alliance had to say about him on WCW Power Hour, Brian Pillman tells his partners that he wants to start the match. He starts against The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko. Zbyszko taunts Pillman with an offer of a test of strength. Pillman accepts and then kicks Zbyszko in the gut to quickly break it off. He hits Zbyszko with a standing dropkick that knocks The Living Legend back in his corner. Zbyszko pulls himself up and moves to the center of the ring, locking up with Pillman. Pillman swings around Zbyszko and trips him to the mat. Pillman spins around and locks in a front facelock on the mat, trying to wear down Zbyszko. Zbyszko works his way around Pillman, releasing himself from the hold and locking a hammerlock on Pillman from behind. The two men work to their feet and Zbyszko shoves Pillman into the corner of the Dangerous Alliance. Zbyszko moves in and Pillman starts punching anything and everything that moves! He fights his way out of the wrong corner and drops Zbyszko with a spinning heel kick before he tags in Sting. Zbyszko quickly tags in Rude and Rick Rude goes face-to-face with the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Rude shoves Sting backward and Sting fires back with several right hands. He bounces off the ropes -- tripped by Paul E. Dangerously! The crowd boos but Rude goes right on Sting, working him over quickly in the corner of the Dangerous Alliance. Rude catches Sting with a forearm shot and then tags in Bobby Eaton. Eaton catches Sting with several kicks to the gut and then a swinging neckbreaker brings Sting to the mat. Eaton makes a cover but it is quickly broken up by Lex Luger. The Dangerous Alliance all begin taking turns to wear down Sting as he gets trapped in the wrong side of the ring, cut off from his partners. Rude catches Sting with a delayed backbreaker and shoves him to the mat. Rude stands and swivels his hips over the fallen Sting to boos from the crowd. Rude tags in Bobby Eaton and Eaton heads for the top turnbuckle. He takes aim at Sting and then leaps with the Alabama Jam -- Missed! Sting rolls out of the way! Eaton cries out in pain as the crowd gets solidly behind Sting. Both men begin crawling toward their corners. Beautiful Bobby tags in Larry Zbyszko but Sting tags in The Total Package Lex Luger!]

[The crowd here in the Omni goes crazy as Lex Luger enters the ring. He mows down Larry Zbyszko with three straight clotheslines. Zbyszko pops back up after the third one and rushes Luger -- Powerslam! Luger brings Zbyszko to the mat with his signature Powerslam! Luger makes the cover: One, Two, Broken Up By Bobby Eaton! Luger gets up and takes down Eaton with a clothesline. He turns around and Zbyszko catches him with a poke to the eye. Zbyszko goes for a Piledriver but Luger reverses it into a back body drop. Luger crawls over and tags in Brian Pillman! Pillman stands on the apron, waiting for Zbyszko to reach his feet. Zbyszko stands and Pillman springboards on the top rope for Air Pill -- NO! Zbyszko catches Pillman with a crescent kick instead! The crowd boos as Zbyszko tags in Rick Rude. Rude steps in and within moments a pier six brawl has broken out between all six men in the ring. The referee tries to regain control as Larry Zbyszko brawls with Sting, Bobby Eaton and Lex Luger spill out of the ring while fighting together and Rick Rude stands over a fallen Brian Pillman. Rude catches Pillman with an elbow drop and then stands up, looking down at the fallen body of the Cruiserweight. He pulls up Pillman and Pillman begins fighting back, throwing punches to Rude! Pillman catches Rude with a dropkick and then exits onto the apron. He calls for the Air Pillman but as he leaps to the top rope, Paul E. Dangerously strikes him in the back with the cellphone! Pillman spills to the mat and Rude moves in quickly -- Rude Awakening Neckbreaker! Rude makes a cover, hooking the leg:]

[When the ring and ringside area clear and following a commercial, the crowd cheers as 'Pomp And Circumstances' begins to play. Out from the back comes the man who made his WCW debut last week, 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage. He is accompanied to the ring by his wife and manager Miss Elizabeth. He holds the ropes open for Elizabeth and then follows her inside the ring. He asks for a microphone and stands in the center of the ring as a 'Savage' chant breaks out through the crowd here in the Omni. Savage begins the interview by saying that, since his arrival here in WCW, the sky is the limit for what he can do in this company. He says that his debut last week caused wrestling fans all over the world to freak out, freak out because the Macho Man has arrived in the best wrestling company in the business today. He says that he was given the opportunity to face off against a man that he respects more than any other man in the business today. He says that Ricky Steamboat is a man that earned his respect when they faced off in a match that so many people call the best match in the history of professional wrestling. That just means that he and Steamboat have to do whatever it takes to beat that match here in WCW. There will be a slight twist to the ending, though, because he plans to win the series and move forward to become the new WCW World Heavyweight champion. Ohhhh yeah, dig it! Before Savage can continue, he is interrupted by the playing of some very familiar music.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WCW_1991/RicFlair.jpg

[The crowd shows definite anticipation as Ric Flair struts from the back and makes his way to the ring. He steps inside and looks across toward Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth with an arrogant smile. He asks for and receives a microphone. Flair says that he came out here to give a welcome to Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth to his company, WCW. He says that Savage won't find this place as easy to rise to the top as he did that other place up north. Flair says that this company brings out the very best in you. He says that when you walk that aisle to face someone of the talent of Ric Flair, you are going to face the very best. It is so hard to be humble when you're the Nature Boy. Savage just gives a wild smile and says 'Ric Flair. So this is the famous Nature Boy.' Savage says that he has a message for Ric Flair. Yeah. He says that Ric Flair is no longer the biggest fish in the biggest pond. He says that he is going to prove that he is the biggest fish here in WCW. Flair tells him to try it and when he's done and left lying on the mat, Miss Elizabeth can come to Charlotte and take a ride on Space Mountain. Whoooo. Flair's words incense Savage and Savage goes after Flair, throwing punches and knocking Flair back in a corner. Flair covers up, blocking some of the punches from Savage and manages to get a poke to the eye of Savage. He turns things around, shoving Savage back in the corner and then begins lighting him up with knife edge chops. Flair drags Savage from the corner and lifts him up, bringing him down in a shinbreaker. Flair grabs the legs of Savage, setting him up for the Figure Four as Miss Elizabeth watches in horror in the background. Someone comes sprinting from the back and slides inside the ring.]

[it's Ricky Steamboat! Steamboat meets Randy Savage in eight days at SuperBrawl: Crossroads in the beginning of their best of seven series. Steamboat enters the ring and Ric Flair motions toward Savage, offering Steamboat a free shot at his SuperBrawl opponent. Instead, Steamboat shoves Flair to the mat! The Dragon waits for Flair to get to his feet and Steamboat catches him with several chops before clotheslining Flair up and over the top rope to the floor. Steamboat has the crowd solidly in his corner as he stares down at The Nature Boy. Randy Savage is helped to his feet by Miss Elizabeth in the background. Steamboat turns and goes face-to-face with the Macho Man. The Macho Man begins talking to The Dragon, telling him that the two of them will go at it in eight days. Steamboat tells him that it's what he wants. Steamboat says that they are going to bring the house down at SuperBrawl. The announcers talk about time running out here on WCW Saturday Night. They will see you this Friday for WCW Power Hour and a huge weekend of WCW wrestling action. Plus Eric Bischoff will have a major announcement on WCW Saturday Night! Make sure you tune in next week! We'll see you then!]

Prediction Contest

Due to my wanting to make more long-term plans within the diary, I am making a change to the prediction contest from this point forward. Instead of every month as I did the first two months, I have decided to make the prediction contests last six months. This gives plenty of time for a lot of changes to be made at the top here. It also gives you a chance that if you miss a show it's not the end of your chance to win.

For those of you who might be new to my diaries and the way I handle prediction contests, here is a brief breakdown. The person or people who score the most correct in their predictions each week receive one win. These wins will reset at the end of the prediction contest cycle.

Here are the standings following WCW Saturday Night Week 2 March 1991...

1. Zergon=2 Wins

2. Beejus=1 Win

JoshAllington=1 Win

4. KnowYourEnemy=0 Wins

Nobby_McDonald=0 Wins

horseman4lyfe=0 Wins

World Championship Wrestling

-This WCW Saturday Night will be a huge night as we will be twenty four hours away from WCW SuperBrawl. In honor of the Ultimate Sacrifice match, there will be a huge tag team match in the main event of the show. On one side, there will be Ric Flair and Rick Rude. On the other side, facing them, will be Sting and Bob Backlund. Which side will gain momentum as we move forward toward WCW SuperBrawl and the Ultimate Sacrifice match between these four men?

-Last week, Owen Hart issued an open challenge for anyone in the back to come out and face him. His opponent last week happened to be his older brother, Keith Hart. Because that went so well, Owen has decided to do the open challenge again this week. What wrestler will step up and face the WCW World Television Champion? Will we see another new debut or return of a wrestler this week?

-There is a major women's wrestling match this week on WCW Saturday Night. The match was set up on last week's WCW Saturday Night when The Fabulous Moolah and Wendi Richter went face-to-face for the first time in years. Following an argument between the two women, they agreed to go one on one tonight with the big stipulation that the loser cannot be the very first WCW World Women's Champion. Both women have that fire and they want to become the first Women's Champion. Tonight they have the opportunity to put one major challenger down. Who will step up and put their opponent down? Make sure you tune in and find out!

-At SuperBrawl: Crossroads, there will be a match for the WCW World Tag Team titles between the teams of Doom, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, The Rock 'N' Roll Express and The Fantastics. Tonight on WCW Saturday Night there will be an eight man tag match featuring these four teams as Doom teams with Anderson & Blanchard against The Rock 'N' Roll Express and The Fantastics. We should see some excellent wrestling only twenty four hours away from WCW SuperBrawl. What team will gain momentum heading for the big title match?

-We also want to mention that WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff is going to have a major announcement this evening. He says that this announcement will, once again, change the face of professional wrestling. Rumors are flying as to what this announcement will be. Rumors have been everything from a new show to a major signing and everything in between. The only way to find out is to tune in to WCW Saturday Night! Make sure you be there!

-Plus The Skyscrapers, Art Barr, La Parka, Big Van Vader and more. Make sure you tune in! BE THERE!

15 Minute Time Limit Match

Doom and Anderson & Blanchard vs. The Rock 'N' Roll Express and The Fantastics

Comments: Heel side feels slighly stronger to me here.

Loser Cannot Be The First WCW World Women's Champion

10 Minute Time Limit Match

The Fabulous Moolah vs. Wendi Richter

Comments: Going with the face here as I´d assume this will lead into feud when the loser costs the winner a chance to win the Women belt and it would make more sense to me for heel to be spiteful.

10 Minute Time Limit Match

The Skyscrapers vs. The Batten Twins

Comments: Squash

10 Minute Time Limit Match

La Parka vs. Art Barr

Comments: Not sure about this one but Barr seems to have slighly more going on at the moment.

WCW World Television Title Match

10 Minute Time Limit Match

Owen Hart defends vs. ???

Comments: Owen gets another win

TV Time Remaining Match

Ric Flair and Rick Rude vs. Sting and Bob Backlund

Comments: Backlund feels like a weak link here but I think this one is going to be a draw in order to sell the title match as "anyone can win this" match.

The Fantastics catch Butch Reed with a double clothesline and the match starts with The Rock 'N' Roll Express and The Fantastics in the ring while the teams of Doom and Anderson & Blanchard are left at ringside. The action returns inside the ring where Ricky Morton gets caught in the wrong corner. Butch Reed and Ron Simmons begin double-teaming Morton with forearm shots and a double flapjack that results in a two count on Morton. Reed yanks Morton to his feet and lifts him up in a press slam, bringing the Rock 'N' Roll Express member to the mat. Reed yanks up Morton and begins choking him on the middle rope as the crowd boos loudly. The referee reaches a four count and Reed releases before choking him again to the count of four. Rude catches Sting with a direct kick to the knee, bringing Sting down for a moment before Rude catches Sting with a punch. Rude turns and walks right into Backlund! Backlund begins throwing punches to Rude before he picks up the Ravishing One and body slams him to the mat. Backlund calls for the Crossface Chicken Wing but he is hit from behind by Paul E. Dangerously with that cell phone! Backlund goes right down to the mat but Sting manages to get to his feet. He sends Rude into a corner -- Stinger Splash! Rude falls to the mat and Sting goes for the legs but here comes Ric Flair! Flair rakes the eyes of Sting and then brings him to the mat with the shinbreaker. Ric Flair rolls out of the ring and grabs the WCW World Heavyweight title belt. He slides back in and he raises the belt up high. If this happens in twenty four hours we will see a brand new WCW World Heavyweight Champion! Or maybe we will see Rick Rude have to shave his head. Or maybe we will see Bob Backlund's career come to an end. Or maybe Ric Flair will lose and the Horsemen will be disbanded. One of those four things will happen tomorrow night when we have SuperBrawl: Crossroads and the Ultimate Sacrifice match. Make sure you contact your local cable operators and tell them that you want to see SuperBrawl! We'll see you there!]</span></em></p></div></blockquote></div><p></p>

Instead of every month as I did the first two months, I have decided to make the prediction contests last six months. This gives plenty of time for a lot of changes to be made at the top here. What a show we have to bring you this evening, including a main event called the Ultimate Sacrifice match. All four wrestlers competing in this match have given up something if they are pinned or forced to submit. If </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Sting</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> loses, he gives up the WCW World Heavyweight title to the winner. If </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Ric Flair</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> loses, The Four Horsemen are disbanded as a unit. If </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Rick Rude</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> loses, then the winner is allowed to shave his head. If </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Bob Backlund</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> loses, he must retire from professional wrestling. A lot is riding on the line during this match. Who will win and it's almost just as important to ask, who will lose this match?</span><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -The WCW United States title will be on the line as </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Lex Luger</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> defends the belt against </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Sid Vicious</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">, </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Dan Spivey</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Nikita Koloff</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> in a Crossroads match. The first pinfall or submission receives the WCW United States title. This means that it's every man for himself. Will this cause some division between The Skyscrapers? We have already seen the division between Lex Luger and Nikita Koloff. Which of these four wrestlers will head into the very first WCW Monday Nitro as the WCW United States Champion?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -The show is going to kick off with what can only be described as a huge contest as we begin the best of seven series. In the other corner is The Dragon </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Ricky Steamboat</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">! Both of these men are looking to pick up the first win in this series. Both would love to have the momentum of winning this first contest between the two men.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> -Plus Big Van Vader, Avalanche, The WCW World Tag Team titles defended and more. <p>Randy Savage - <em>Macho Man strikes first blood in the series.</em></p><p>

York Foundation - <em>Probably retaining despite Alexandria rather than because of her.</em></p><p>

Avalanche - <em>I'm going with Tenta because he's going to be on a written contract while Vader is still tied to New Japan.</em></p><p>

Arn and Tully - <em>Bring the limo around Barry, it's time for the party.</em></p><p>

Nikita Koloff - <em>A big win for the Homeland.</em></p><p>

Kevin Von Erich - <em>Total shot in the dark, really.</em></p><p>

Ric Flair - <em>Ric can go on to feud with a now US title-less Luger.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Sting is pinned to lose the title to the winner.</p>

<p>Best Of Seven Series Match</p><p>

Match #1</p><p>

<strong>Randy Savage</strong> vs. Ricky Steamboat</p><p>

Comments: <em>Randy takes his debut win to make this 1-0.</em></p><p> </p><p>

WCW United States Tag Team Titles Match</p><p>

<strong>The York Foundation</strong> defends vs. Larry Zbyszko and Bobby Eaton vs. The Smooth Operators vs. Dustin Rhodes and Wahoo McDaniel</p><p>

Comments: <em>There seem to be some problems within The York Foundation so I could see them losing belts here but I´m still going to go with them keeping the belts for now.</em></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Big Van Vader</strong> vs. Avalanche</p><p>

Comments: <em>Simpky going with who I see as bigger name here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

WCW World Tag Team Titles Match</p><p>

Doom defends vs. <strong>Anderson & Blanchard</strong> vs. The Rock 'N' Roll Express vs. The Fantastics</p><p>

Comments: <em>I´m probably wrong here but I have hard time going against Anderson & Blanchard on this one.</em></p><p> </p><p>

WCW United States Title Match</p><p>

Lex Luger defends vs. <strong>Sid Vicious</strong> vs. Dan Spivey vs. Nikita Koloff</p><p>

Comments: <em>This looks like Sid´s match to lose assuming that Spivey is happy to help his partner which I assume will be the case as they just got together again so I feel it´s bit too early for friction between the two.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Badstreet Strap Match</p><p>

Michael Hayes vs. <strong>Kevin Von Erich</strong></p><p>

Comments: <em>Could go either way.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Ultimate Sacrifice Match</p><p>

If Sting Is Pinned/Submits, He Loses The WCW World Heavyweight Title To The Winner</p><p>

If Ric Flair Is Pinned/Submits, The Four Horsemen Are Disbanded</p><p>

If Rick Rude Is Pinned/Submits, His Head Is Shaved</p><p>

If Bob Backlund Is Pinned/Submits, He Must Retire</p><p>

<strong>Sting</strong> defends vs. Ric Flair vs. Rick Rude vs. Bob Backlund</p><p>

Comments: <em>Sting losing would be the easiest solution here but I think he will retain this one. The bigger question is who will lose though.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Bonus Point: (Bold Which Of These You Think Happens)</p><p> </p><p>

If Sting Is Pinned/Submits, He Loses The WCW World Heavyweight Title To The Winner</p><p>

If Ric Flair Is Pinned/Submits, The Four Horsemen Are Disbanded</p><p>

<strong>If Rick Rude Is Pinned/Submits, His Head Is Shaved</strong></p><p>

If Bob Backlund Is Pinned/Submits, He Must Retire</p><p>

<em>Not sure if you have a picture to go with this option but I think this would be the most interesting outcome out of the four as it could allow you to give Rude some less often seen gimmick and thus move him into some new territory in terms of his character.</em></p>
