The Deadman enters the ring and brings up the lights, before bringing a microphone to his lips.....obviously the Phenom has something on his mind. He addresses Kane and Jim Cornette, stating that the longer they insist on continuing with this charade that The Undertaker had anything to do with the death of their parents, the longer the Deadman will spend torturing his brother in the fires of hell. He claims that the lies and deceit do nothing more than tarnish the memory of two people, who paid the ultimate price, when the only crime they were guilty of is loving their son...... "......Kane.....The Undertaker was born on that fateful night twenty years ago.....as all sense of humanity and normalcy burned away with my family and my home.....ultimately it was YOU Kane, that woke the Demon.....it was YOU Kane, that cast out the light from my world, forcing me to embrace the darkness......and it will be YOU Kane....who's going to wish that those fires had served him the same fate that it dealt our parents.....when I make your miserable life a living hell....." The Deadman says that he accepts the challenge laid out by Jim Cornette.....he WILL face his brother at the Survivor Series.....on not only the anniversary of his parents passing, but the anniversary of the Deadman's debut here in the WWF, six years earlier, at the 1990 Survivor Series......because at the Thanksgiving Tradition, at a time of family holidays, the Undertaker can think of nothing he would be more thankful for, than to have the opportunity to decimate his brother once and for all....... The trio stay far away from the ring, choosing to remain at the top of the entrance way.....but unsurprisingly Jim Cornette has something to say...... "......you know what Deadman, that's the first sensible thing I've heard you say.....that's an excellent idea, and we accept your challenge...." The Undertaker looks slightly confused by that....unsure as to what challenge he is supposed to have levied.....and Cornette smiles at the confusion.... "......you know......don't be coy.....like you said, three months is a long time away......so I'm going to give you something to keep you occupied....because in just three weeks, we have a little event coming up called In Your House.....and at that event, it's going to be The Undertaker.......vs Mankind....(Mankind's head snaps up at the sound of that, clearly he wasn't consulted first).....in a good old fashioned....Casket Match" Mankind likes the sound of that even less, and looks as though he is about to protest the decision, until Kane snaps his head in his direction, quieting him with a glare.....the Undertaker is happy enough though, and it looks like the Deadman and the Madman will be locking horns one more time. The Steiner Brothers have never been afraid to mix it up, just as adapt at punching a man in the face as they are at suplexing him out of his boots.....while the Dogs of War are two big, bad, brawling machines. The Dogs came out on the losing end of their debut bout here in the WWF, but they dominated the entire match, only coming up short due to a fluke count out. Unfortunately, here they are up against arguably one of the greatest Tag Teams of all time....and not only that....the Steiner's are p####d and out to make a statement, with Scott having one eye on a possible clash with Psycho Sid at In Your House. Neither of the Dog's are seven feet tall.....but they ain't exactly Rey Mysterio either.....but with a glimpse into Sid's future, Scotty still manages to send them both up and over with consecutive belly to belly suplexes. McMahon and Ross quickly exit their seats....Lawler is less forthcoming, until Kevin Nash forcibly removes him from his seat. Lawler looks ready to throw down, but Vince and Jim Ross pull him away, telling him it would be suicide. Justin Credible is particularly obnoxious here, snatching the King's crown from the desk and wearing it himself. Vince and co head to the back for the duration of the next match, while Shawn, Nash and Hall take up residence on the call. All six men turn and glare at the Spanish announce team, who rapidly get to their feet and depart as well.....tonight, ladies and gentlemen, your Comentario español will be bought to you by Triple H, Sean Waltman and King Justin Credible. I don't think the Champion was anticipating the audience at the commentary tables that he had in the form of the KLiQ however....who spend most of the match running the little luchador down, particularly Waltman on the Spanish announce table, who calls Rey a thief, just like all you Mexicans listening in. These two had a good little match, and it's a shame that the 'commentators' didn't pay much attention to it. Instead they spent the match cracking jokes, commenting on Rey's height and generally vowing to regain all the Titles that they recently lost. In the end Mysterio was able to complete his first successful defence, catching Lynn with a Hurracanrana into a pinfall combination. Nash, Hall, Waltman and Credible (still wearing the Kings Crown) move out from commentary and surround the ring, each standing by one of the four aprons on the floor. Mysterio knows what's coming next though, and he's not sticking around for it. He runs the ring, leaps and springboards off the top rope.....right over Kevin Nash's head.....and landing on the floor behind him, where he rolls through to absorb the impact and immediately bails into the crowd and away to safety. Nash has the decency to mutter that it was a "pretty impressive" move into a nearby camera, while Shawn Michaels sends us (rather professionally all things considered) to the back for our next segment. Neither of these men had a good night at Summerslam, with Helmsley dropping the Intercontinental Championship to the British Bulldog, and Bart coming out on the losing end to his brother Billy. Hunter fares better here though, because with Bart still adjusting to life as a singles wrestler, Helmsley is able to finish him off with a Pedigree in the middle of the ring for the one, two, three. ".....you'll come out here and attack me when my back is turned, just so long as you have a weapon in your hand.....but when I'm ready and waiting, you're nowhere to be seen....and THAT my friend, is why Sunny here spends every night with MY weapon in HER hand....and not yours...." Triple H continues to run Skip down, ranging from threats of violence, to more crude humour and d##k jokes. When it becomes clear that Skip isn't there this evening, Sunny takes a turn on the mic. She tells Skip that she doesn't know exactly what he thinks he's doing.....but it's because of him that her man isn't wearing Intercontinental Gold anymore...."and you know that gold is my favourite colour, just like diamonds are my best friends."....she goes on to say that her least favourite colour is green....and that's exactly what Skip is, green with envy because she traded up to a better model. She finishes up by telling him to go back to whatever hole it was that he crawled out of.....because if he insists on sticking his nose in KLiQ business?...well everyone saw last week, how well that worked out for people. Helmsley once again takes the mic a final time, telling Skip to listen to the advice of his former manager, and make Summerslam a one off appearance...."because I've already taken your woman.....don't make me take your career too......" On paper the former WWF Tag Team Champions should walk this....on tag team experience alone....but this is the WWF, and on paper doesn't matter, because as Vince McMahon has been telling us for years, anything can happen. What happened tonight was Ahmed and Jericho played off each other's strengths tremendously.....with Ahmed's strength being....well, his strength.....and Jericho using his speed and agility to compliment it. The KLiQ on the other hand, utilised their team approach, cutting the ring in half with Scott Hall doing most of the leg work, while Nash moved in for the heavy hits. In this case it was Chris Jericho that was the main focus of their attack, presumably in an attempt to soften the youngster up for Shawn Michaels......surprisingly though it didn't work....because come the end of the match, Jericho sent Nash tumbling to the outside, leaving Ahmed to hit Scott Hall with the Pearl River Plunge......which was then followed up by a Lionsault from Jericho, giving a surprisingly squeaky clean pinfall victory to the face contingent. The pair turn and look as though they are about to enter the ring where the victorious Lionheart and Ahmed are waiting.....they never get the opportunity though, because in a flash, Chris Jericho comes flying over the top rope, taking out the Heartbreak Kid and pummelling him with blow after blow after blow. Nash turns to help his buddy, but Ahmed is out of the ring to intercept him and we soon have a pier six brawl on the floor, that is only stopped when an army of backstage workers flood the arena to separate the four men. Vince McMahon frantically sends us too commercial, while Nash can be heard screaming in the background that Ahmed and Jericho are " DEAD MEN WALKING!!! This match isn't quite on the level of their partners match last week, but it's still a very, very good TV bout. Owen has aspirations of wearing Tag Team Gold with his brother.....with Bret's win last week, another Hart win here tonight would surely give the challengers a serious confidence boost ahead of their upcoming title match....but if there's one thing we've learnt about Stone Cold Steve Austin, it's that he won't go down without a fight......and he doesn't here either.....because come the end of the match, much like last week, we see one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions locked in the Sharpshooter....unlike Brian Pillman and his instantaneous submission however, Steve Austin doesn't look like he's going to quit anytime soon, and the commentators question exactly how long Hart would have to have the hold locked on, before Austin begins to risk serious injury? <img alt="SC2jCnQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ......turns out we aren't finding out tonight.....because Brian Pillman comes running down the aisle, slides into the ring and nails Owen with the tag title belt in the back of the head to break up the hold, causing an obvious and blatant disqualification loss for Austin, with back to back victories for the Harts. Pillman tells him that he'd rather apologise to one half of the Tag Team Champs now, than see the Harts take the titles at In Your House because Austin was no better than a lame mule. In the meantime Owen has groggily gotten back to his feet, only to be met with a kick in the gut by Pillman and a Stone Cold Stunner from Austin that drops him back to the mat. The Lose Cannon smirks down at Hart, telling his partner to cheer up. He might have lost the match but they can still have some fun. We had our biggest win yet in the Monday Night ratings war this week, pulling ahead of Nitro by more than a full point, as our 16.38 easily dispatched their 15.00.....not a small feat when you take into account the fact that six months ago, WCW was beating us by a full point....and more, every week....and it's not like Nitro has lost many viewers, they have always been in the 15.00 range.....it's more to do with the fact that we have gained so many viewers, because we were wayyyy down in the 14.00's when I first got the book. One of the biggest surprises of this weeks show, was seeing the KLiQ go down clean to the thrown together combo of Ahmed Johnson and Chris Jericho.....yeah, Kevin Nash has Scott Hall to thank for that one. Ahmed and Jericho were always coming away with the win, but it was certainly not going to be such a decisive one.....at least not until Scott Hall decided to pick a fight with Rowdy Roddy Piper before the show even started. Ironically however, it was Hall that was put on his ass in front of all the boys by the former amateur boxer.....which I figured was embarrassing enough that I didn't hit Hall with any formal punishment.....informally however, he got the pleasure of doing the job clean for Jericho in the middle of the ring. Between you and me, I'm getting kinda sick of the KLiQ's s##t......and fines don't seem to have an effect on them since they are earning so much god damn money....it's time to start hitting them where it really hurts.....right in the ego. While we are on the subject of the KLiQ, one Mr. Sean Waltman's contract is up for renewal....I have offered an extension, but WCW have also made a counter offer....I don't really want to be caught up in another bidding war so soon after the battle for Goldust's signature.....but on the other hand, I don't really want to lose Waltman either, so needs must. In a more positive bit of news, The Undertaker took me to one side after the show....a rarity trust me.....to let me know that he thought Raven was absolute gold on the microphone, and to get a microphone in his hand as often possible....that's good to know, since due to the nature of their characters, these two are bound to have a programme together somewhere down the line. I'm honestly very surprised at how good the segment ratings were on all of that last Raw. Everything clicked (pun intended?) into place so that even Lawler and Credible scored a nice number. And then two big A* segments to open and close the show! It looks like things are still really hot after Summerslam.

I'm getting the hint that Mankind may be transitioning away from Cornette and Kane very soon, as he is starting to (rightly) feel like he's being thrown to the wolves. I'll be very interested to see what role he plays after that... perhaps feeling left out will drive the crazy Mankind into the crazier Cactus Jack? Or will it break him and force him to become the "hippest cat in the land"? Either way, I'll be keeping an eye out for him.

Chris Jericho - Even if by DQ, Jericho picks up a win to help push him toward IYH.

Ahmed Johnson - I don't think Jericho will get it done at IYH, but by Survivor Series I could see Ahmed taking his shot and getting it done.

Goldust - Mero is pretty stagnated, Goldust picks up a nice win.

Southern Justice - Good call putting them with the M$C, a win here will solidify their new position.

Scorpio - Scorp has been pretty silent lately, but Raven costs Al the win.

It looks like things are still really hot after Summerslam.</div></blockquote> To be honest the segments saved the show this week, because a good chunk of the matches didn't fare so well....the Undertaker has been chucking out A-A* segments for fun since the beginning, I just haven't been able to utilise them much with the big layoff he had after Kane's "reveal". The KLiQ are out in force the second the intro has finished playing, and they are coming in off the back of a rather unsuccessful showing last week.....with Justin Credible, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall all on the losing side of their matches.....and with the WWF Champion Shawn Michaels finding out that Chris Jericho is far from intimidated by the Heartbreak Kid, there was really only Triple H that had a good night....of course whether or not he can continue that trend, all depends on how well he handles Ahmed Johnson tonight. They tease removing the commentators from their position on the announce table again, but eventually bypass them and enter the ring....and while the King isn't happy to see Justin Credible still sporting his crown, he has bought a replacement with him tonight....after all a King without a crown is no King at all. Michaels takes hold of a microphone and stares at the crowd for a moment, before finally beginning to speak. He tells the crowd that he's a little bit worried.....worried about the mental health of a large number of the so called superstars of the WWF, because for every Bret Hart or Scott Steiner or Steve Austin that he puts in their place, another moron who doesn't learn from others mistakes steps up and takes their place...... In all reality there's no real reason that Marc Mero couldn't be a big name around here. He's got a good look, decent workrate.....a smoking hot blonde on his arm.....all he really needs to do, is start picking up some decent wins......and a victory against Goldust would be a hell of a place to start. No me neither..... As far as this match goes, it's entertaining if nothing else. Scorpio isn't as flamboyant has he used to be since joining the Nation, but the boy can still fly, and isn't afraid to showboat about it. Al isn't flashy either......and certainly isn't a high flyer.....but he's got the fans on his side with his strange antics, and Head has developed a cult following of her own. Scorpio shows why he was the first WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, and very nearly picks up a victory with a somersault leg drop from the top, but Snow was able to drape a foot over the bottom rope to save the match. If he can stay clean then we just might be able to do something with him. This is your basic hype promo, with these three men being set to meet the Son's of Samoa at In Your House....but the Samoan team are far from 100%, which these three men are happy to take the credit for, even if realistically, it's the KLiQ that dos most of the hard work. Either way, at In Your House, this trio of Outlaws promise to finish what they started, and put the Son's out of action....for good. It's certainly a breath of fresh air for the former Pig Farmers, who have spent the best part of the year wallowing in mediocrity, with no real direction....and they certainly look focused and a lot more comfortable in their new roles. He got a modicum of revenge last week, teaming with Chris Jericho to defeat Hall and Nash, but how well he will fare against Helmsley is anyone's guess. Helmsley on the other hand, while he SHOULD be focused on the British Bulldog and regaining the intercontinental Championship, he has recently become sidetracked by the re-emergence of Sunny's former "client" Skip.....whether that was playing on his mind for the duration of this match was anyone's guess, but Helmsley certainly seemed distracted, often looking for attacks from the crowd that simply never came.......whatever the problem was it wound up costing him the match, because after his impressive victory last week, Ahmed put Hunter away here tonight with the Pearl River Plunge, as his quest of vengeance against the KLiQ continued. Hunter is down and seemingly out, and Sunny drops to her knees (not for the first time I'm sure *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*) to tend to him. Skip grabs a microphone, and because he's not exactly known for his promo ability, cuts right to the chase.....he says first of all, people can stop calling him Skip....Skip died the day Sunny left him for this sorry mess on the mat. He says that his name is Chris Candido, before telling an unconscious Helmsley (who I'm sure will hear this on a replay) that he's right, the day he took Sunny away from him, he took everything.......so if Helmsley wants his career, then he can have that too, because as far as Candido is concerned, he has nothing left to lose........BUT..........since Hunter took the only thing away from him that he ever loved.........then Helmsley has to put the only thing that HE ever loved up too........as well as the only thing Sunny ever loved........ ".....so it's pretty simple.......Hunter Hearst Helmsley, vs Chris Candido at In Your House......you win, that's it, I'm gone......out of the WWF forever, leaving you and Sunny to sail off happily into the sunset........but if I win........then YOU are out of the WWF for good.......no more KLiQ for you, no more Triple H, no more Sunny, no more lording it over the little guy.........just Hunter Hearst Helmsley, trying his best not to let the door hit him on the ass on his way out of it.........my career, vs your career......and that money grabbing b###h's meal ticket......let me know if you've got the balls to accept, or whether you keep them in Sunny's purse nowadays......" With that Candido drops the mic and returns back to the crowd, while Sunny screams after him that he's lost his damn mind. The Harts are surrounded by Wrestling memorabilia, while the Tag Team Champions are surrounded by empty beer glasses.....in fact an empty pitcher is sat upside down on top of one of the Championship belts. Bret starts the interview, saying that this is a perfect example of what he was talking about a few weeks ago....respect and tradition has been replaced by beer swilling rednecks, who use prestigious Championships as a beer coaster. Hart says that those Titles have been held by some of the greatest tag teams of all time......in fact Bret and Owen have both been proud holders of those Championships on separate occasions.....but come In Your House, they will be able to put the icing on the cake, when the Hart Brothers finally win the gold together. Austin and Pillman are typically unimpressed.....calling the Bret a dinosaur.....the last of a dying breed.....he says the only thing people give a damn about now, is about who's the baddest son of a bitch in the room.....he says that no one gives a damn about "tradition" and "respect", spitting the words out like they leave a bad taste in his mouth......all people want to see, is people getting their ass whipped, and don't no one whip ass like Stone Cold Steve Austin, and that's the bottom line. Owen says that it doesn't matter how tough Austin thinks he is, or how crazy Pillman claims to be.....he says at the end of the day, when they climb between those ropes at In Your House, it will be for a wrestling match....not a fight, not some bar room brawl.....a wrestling match.....and no one knows wrestling, like the Hart Family. Pillman pipes in here, saying no one knows how to bitch and moan like the Hart Family. Pillman says that unless they forgot, he trained in the Dungeon too.......and the only thing he learned from that rat infested dump, was how to take a bump without landing in cat p##s.....he says that people talk about the Dungeon like its sacred ground, and Stu Hart is some mighty deity.....when in reality, the boys have to wrestle the roaches for a dry towel, and Stu Hart is nothing more than an old man, trying his best not to s##t his adult diapers..... From there things descend into a shouting match (as they often do) with both teams throwing insults and threats at each other. McMahon eventually has to bring the segment to an end, saying that the two teams will be able to do their talking in the ring in less than two weeks time.....things have certainly heated up between these four men. The commentators play up the fact that Hall is keen for revenge against the young upstart who embarrassed him last week, when he pinned his shoulders to the mat clean as a whistle....while Jericho will be looking to capitalise on that victory with another win over the KLiQ, ahead of his shot at their leader Shawn Michaels.....and his WWF Championship. Lawler questions the whereabouts of the rest of the KLiQ, stating that they are usually at ringside to help their guys get the win. It turns out that winning this one was less important than teaching Lionheart a lesson though.....because following a near fall attempt by Jericho we are treated to a split screen shot of the action in the ring....as well as the action in the back, where Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman and Justin Credible are standing over a fallen Ahmed Johnson. Nash has an aluminium baseball bat in his hand, which he drops to the floor with a metallic clatter. Back in the ring and Jericho has firmly taken control in this one.....but with Scott Hall locked in the Liontamer, the entire KLiQ (with the exception of Triple H and Sunny) come running down the aisle and into the ring, where Nash breaks the hold up with a big boot.....leaving the official no choice other than to call for the bell. He takes the WWF Championship from around his waist and lays it out on the mat in front of him. He orders a stop to the beating, telling Jericho that his prize is right in front of him, all he has to do is take it. Slowly Jericho pushes himself up to all fours and begins to claw his way towards the Heartbreak Kid, and towards the richest prize in the game, the World Wrestling Federation Championship. He finally reaches his destination and he stares down at the gold plate of the Winged Eagle belt in front of him.....he reaches out and brushes his fingers over the prize for the briefest of seconds......before lunging his body upwards, using the momentum to swinging his fist right between the legs of the Heartbreak Kid. Michaels collapses in pain, clutching his groin.....but if Jericho was in trouble before, he's in even worse trouble now, as the KLiQ immediately pounce on the youngster, again serving him a savage beating while the WWF Champion tries to pull himself back to his feet. Jericho is pulled to a kneeling position and held in place for the killing blow. Shawn, finally somewhat recovered, begins to tune up the band, but two stomps of the mat into it and he's clutching at his groin again. He's clearly in too much pain to be kicking anyone, and tells Nash to ".....just stick him....." instead. Big Sexy is only too happy to oblige, whipping Lionheart high up in the air, before crashing him back down to the mat with a huge Jacknife....leaving the show to go off the air with the KLiQ once again standing tall. The biggest news for me this week was the fact that Sean Waltman put pen to paper on another three years with the WWF. He let pretty much everyone know that he would be stupid to leave now when he's part of the hottest thing in wrestling today, the KLiQ....and he gets to hang out with his buddies to boot.......yeah ok Sean, I'm sure the fat pay rise had nothing to do with it. Both Steve McMichael and Tony Schiavone re-signed with the competition this week, although to be fair we didn't even make a move for either man. McMichael has a good mouth on him, but he can't work a lick.....Schiavone, I like Tony.....and he's a fantastic announcer, I just don't see him fitting in at the announce desk here. WCW held their annual Fall Brawl event this week.....without a War Games match in sight....instead in the main event we were treated to WCW Champion Ric Flair, defending the gold against Meng.....in a match that was TV quality at best.....and believe it or not that was the best match of the night. The Semi Main saw Diamond Dallas Page defend the US Title against the Giant......and somehow the Blue Bloods managed to defend the Tag Titles against the mammoth team of Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow.....all in all a pretty bleak show.....I'm fairly sure War Games might have made a difference, but what do I know, I'm only booking the number 2 wrestling company in the world, Bischoff must be number 1 for a reason. Oh and in a bit of throwaway news, I tried to sign Randy Savage.....he turned me down.....on to Raw..... Ok I'm being flippant.....I'm quite sorry that we couldn't ink a deal with the Macho Man.
