A new generation.....a new attitude?

<p>Really liked the foreshadowing there with Mankind and Raven... Mick is quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of your shows because he's starting what feels like a big character arc.</p><p> </p><p>

No Contest - <em>Sports Entertainment Finish when the rest of the Kliq, the Blonds, Jericho, the Nation, the 1994 Dallas Cowboys, and the entire Mormon Tabernacle Choir run-in on the match.</em></p><p>

Sycho Sid - <em>Powerbomb City.</em></p><p>

Chris Candido - <em>Chris picks up a good win en route to IYH.</em></p><p>

Rey Mysterio - <em>Can't wait to see Faarooq talk about this one, I'm digging the Nation's story of not getting chances while others do.</em></p><p>

Raven - <em>At some point I think DeMott will join Raven. I can't say I was ever a fan of Bill DeMott in general, but he does work good as a brutish heel enforcer, so if he finds his way into the "not-yet-Flock" I think he could shine a little more in a better suited role.</em></p>

The show itself opens with a brief recap of last weeks events, predominantly focusing on the show long antics of the KLiQ, from Shawn Michaels initial segment, to the closing beatdown of Chris Jericho, and everything in between......Ahmed Johnsons victory over Triple H, and the surprise career vs career challenge levied by Chris Candido afterwards. The recap ends on a shot of the KLiQ standing tall over a broken Chris Jericho and we go live to the arena, where the announcers welcome us to the show.</p><p> </p><p> Vince McMahon informs us that we are just six days away from the biggest night in young Chris Jericho's short career here in the WWF, as he is going to be going one on one with the WWF Champion, the Icon, the Showstopper, the Main Event, the man that's better than the best there is.....and that man's name, is the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. Jim Ross adds that it would be a remarkable feat, should the youngster be able to do what no one else has done since Shawn's reign of terror began, and that's not just beat the Champion, but beat him AND take that WWF Championship from around his waist. Jerry Lawler adds that Scott Steiner came close, defeating Shawn Michaels fair and square back at the King of the Ring in June, but legal dramas and fine print got in the way of him bringing home the gold....with a bit of luck, at In Your House, Chris Jericho will finish what Scott Steiner started.....and speaking of Jericho, here he comes.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......striding down the aisle with purpose, there's no stopping to slap hands with the fans or smile for pictures, he simply pics up a microphone, climbs into the ring, and gets a few things off his chest. Jericho might be relatively new to the WWF, less than a year into his tenure in fact, but he's grown in leaps and bounds since his debut back at the Royal Rumble, particularly in his microphone skills. The youngster is a natural talker and he uses that ability to its fullest potential here. He tells the crowd that if someone had told him a year ago that he would be headlining a World Wrestling Federation Pay Per View against Shawn Michaels for the WWF Championship, he wouldn't have said it was a dream come true......competing against ANYONE for the WWF Championship would have been a dream come true, but against Shawn Michaels, it would have just made it that much sweeter....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......see what you people don't know about me, is Shawn Michaels was one of the reasons that a skinny kid from Winnipeg in Canada, set out to be a wrestler in the first place. I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm not exactly the biggest guy in the locker room......I'm not the strongest.....I'm not the tallest.....I'm not the most muscular.......</em>(he pauses and smiles for a moment before continuing that)<em>.....I may well be the best looking, but that's not the point......it was 1990 when I packed my bags and took the long drive over to Calgary and signed up with the Hart's School of Wrestling.....see there was a tag team called The Rockers coming out here week after week on WWF TV and completely revolutionising the wrestling business.....and not just with their innovative aerial manoeuvres, or unique double team moves......they were revolutionising people's conceptions of what a professional wrestler was....and more importantly, what a professional wrestler looked like.....neither Marty Jannetty or Shawn Michaels were 6'6....neither man weighed 300lbs.....but they were still in here, week in and week out, wrestling men sometimes twice their size, and successfully too I may add.....</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> .....now I'm not gonna lie, the day you turned your back on Marty Jannetty, and drove his head through that Barber Shop window, I was just as disappointed in you as any other fan.....but at the same time, a part of me understood why you did what you did.....you'd already broken ground as a tag team wrestler, now you wanted to go out there on your own and prove that you could be a star....THE star......and because you weren't 6'6 or 300lbs, you needed to make an immediate first impression.....and boy did you ever....."</em></p><p> </p><p> Jericho goes on to say that he's not ashamed to admit that he modelled his early career on Shawn Michaels, even making a name for himself for a while in a pretty innovative tag team of his own called the Thrill Seekers....but just like Michaels, in his heart his only dream was to be the World Champion.....and to be competing for that World Championship against the Heartbreak Kid......WOULD.....have been a dream come true......</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......but instead of facing Shawn Michaels, the Heartbreak Kid.....the ground breaker.....the trailblazer.......I get to step into that ring with Shawn Michaels, the KLiQ coward......I get to step into that ring with a man more interested in breaking rules than breaking ground........a man who is happier to hide behind his OWN giant, Kevin Nash, than to slay them like he once did......a man who would rather stand back and watch his five little buddies do all the hard work, then swoop in like a vulture to pick the bones......make no mistake about it, I WILL step into this ring on Sunday and compete for the World Wrestling Federation Championship......I WILL step in this ring and wrestle the match of my life against Shawn Michaels......and I WILL walk out of In Your House as the new WWF Champion.......I just wish the Shawn Michaels I was facing, was the Shawn Michaels that I USED to respect....."</em> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Apparently the Champion has a rebuttal for the young Challenger, because he makes his way down to the ring.....surprisingly alone....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"......thanks for the history lesson kid.....and since you were so kind as to give me and all these people a history lesson, let me return the favour with a little lesson of my own.....a life lesson if you will.....because in this life, whenever you can stand up and truly call yourself an innovator.....everyone and everything that follows you is nothing more than a cheap imitation.......and there's nothing wrong with having icons to look up to.....hell, I had icons of my own......but I didn't become the World Wrestling Federation Champion by being a poor man's anybody else.......I became the World Wrestling Federation Champion, by being the very best......better than the best there is remember......the very best Shawn Michaels, that I could be.......</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> .......and I don't need a little walk down memory lane....I don't need a history lesson on the life of Shawn Michaels, because I was there....I lived it.....I lived through the mockery, because I wasn't 6'6.....because I didn't have 24 inch pythons "brother"......because no ones going to pay to see a scrawny little pretty boy like me "dude"......I lived through all that.....all the ass kickings, all the insurmountable odds and the immovable objects......and guess what, I lived through to the other side, because I would do WHATEVER it takes to get to the top, be that putting my body on the line night in and night out.....or surrounding myself with the perfect circle of friends.....</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> ......so understand this......a cheap Shawn Michaels knock off, is going to go down to the real deal, any day of the week and twice on Sunday's.....you can come out here and whine that I'm not the man you idolised.....that I don't have your respect....I don't give a damn.....because what I DO have, is the World Wrestling Federation Championship, and that's not going to change anytime soon.....especially, against a scrub like you......</em></p><p> </p><p> The two then begin trading verbal blows.....Jericho says that Michaels has forgot how to be the best, without the KLiQ backing him up....Michaels tells Jericho that he didn't need the KLiQ to beat Bret Hart last month at Summerslam, he certainly won't need them to beat him......Michaels says that he could have the KLiQ down here with him right now.....but he doesn't need to.....he tells Chris that he gets a pass tonight, stay out of Shawn's way.....stay out of the KLiQ's way, and you just might make it to In Your House in one piece.....GET in our way however......and what happened to Marty Jannetty on the Barber Shop, will be NOTHING compared to what happens to you.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> step into the ring against a man who may very well be competing in both his first AND his last match this year, should Hunter Hearst Helmsley decide to accept his career vs career, loser leaves the WWF challenge....and that mans name is Chris Candido. These two men's styles actually mesh really well, and they put on a hell of a match to open the show. </p><p> </p><p> They have a hard fought, back and forth battle, with both men coming close to picking up the victory on a number of occasions. In the end it comes down to something rather spectacular to finish this one off.....because with Candido positioned on the top rope looking for a missile dropkick, Waltman takes his legs out from under him, dropping him to a seated position on the turnbuckle. Waltman climbs up and attempts to hit a top rope hurricanrana, but at the last second the former Body Donna is able to reverse it into a Powerbomb......and from that height Waltman was never going to kick out.....big win for Chris Candido on his first Monday Night Raw showing of 1996......</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Chris Candido</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="bFSpyYx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bFSpyYx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MC3cI3I.jpg" data-src="https://i.Imgur.com/MC3cI3I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="pLtZNWI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pLtZNWI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......the question is, will it be his last? Because before he has even had chance to celebrate, Triple H has appeared at ringside, dragging Candido out to the floor, where he gets harshly introduced to the steel ring steps. Helmsley rolls his adversary back under the bottom rope, then follows behind him, dragging him to the middle of the ring and laying him out with a Pedigree for good measure. Sunny walks over to Hunter and drapes an arm over his shoulder, before handing him a microphone. </p><p> </p><p> He calls Candido a stupid son of a bitch, tells him that he could have just quietly come back to the WWF, happily gone about his business, and continued to admire Sunny from afar......but still been gainfully employed.....instead, you decided to come back and stick your nose in OUR lives.....and then, you have the audacity to challenge ME to a match.....career vs career......do you not know who I am? He tells Candido that if he wants to throw his life away over a dame, then that's fine by him......<em>"because I already took your woman.........at In Your House, I accept your challenge.......and I'm gonna take your whole damn life too."</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="NqqfCgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NqqfCgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="oJqc7jC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oJqc7jC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's straight to the next match following that revelation, that long opening segment really ate into the none wrestling portion of the rest of the night, but when Shawn Michaels get to talking, it's hard to get him to stop.</p><p> </p><p> As for the next match, it features the in ring debut of a man by the name of Raven, who the commentators spend a good portion of the match discussing......discussing and speculating on exactly what history this charismatic newcomer shares with the deranged Mankind. His opponent tonight, is the man somewhat responsible for the emergence of Raven to begin with.....apparent former disciple who went against his masters orders (despite the fact that he appears to be terrified of him) Bill DeMott.</p><p> </p><p> This match is pretty good all things considered. DeMott might not be the most spectacular worker in the world, but he has the basics down and is solid enough.......the same can be said for Raven, because what he lacks in ability he makes up for with sheer psychology......that and he has a presence on screen which demands attention. DeMott puts up a good fight, but Raven is accompanied by his merry band of followers, none of which interject themselves in the match at any time, but their presence is enough to unnerve poor giggling Bill, who eats a DDT which the announcers inform us Raven calls The Evenflow.....that's enough for the three count, DeMott is done.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Raven</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="oJqc7jC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oJqc7jC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NqqfCgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NqqfCgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="GDTWVB2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GDTWVB2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="0VN77xg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0VN77xg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vRMhRGa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vRMhRGa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tMF90pK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tMF90pK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With the match over, Raven's followers climb slowly into the ring and surround the fallen DeMott, while Raven takes a microphone.....</p><p> </p><p> <em>"....they say you can't choose your family.....but you can choose your friends.....I say, if you choose wisely, friend and family can soon be one and the same......see that's what you fail to understand Al Snow.....that's why Bill DeMotts betrayal cut me so deep.....because every man you see around me right now.....I took them from the brink of loneliness and despair....and offered them a sense of belonging.....I offered acceptance.....a home......because that is my sacrifice.......I take the lost souls of this world.....ANY lost soul......anyone who is missing a sense of purpose.....anyone who is walking alone in the dark......and I shine a light onto the path, that leads them to me.....that leads them.....home.......</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> ......but sacrifice is a funny thing Al, sometimes your sacrifice is in vein....sometimes your sacrifice is for naught......And sometimes.....sometimes you need to sacrifice something that only matters to you......in order to offer something that matters more to someone else.....</em></p><p> </p><p> Doink and the Fallen Angel pick DeMott up to his feet at this point, while the Dogs of War both stand in front of him, each with a hand wrapped around DeMotts throat.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cr5i0Lz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cr5i0Lz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......which brings Al Snow running down the aisle.....but before he can get into the ring, Raven tells him to stop......</p><p> </p><p> <em>".....before my Dog's of War send poor Bill here on a short trip, with a bad landing........as I was saying.....sometimes you need to sacrifice, for the good of another......just how far are you willing to go, to save your new found friend Al? Hendrix says that on Sunday, Psycho Sid will be going one on one with Scott Steiner.....but tonight, it's Rick that Sid will be going up against. DiBiase answers for Sid, telling Hendrix that it doesn't matter if it's Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, or their fat Momma Steiner, the result is going to be the same......and that's the Million Dollar Corporation coming out on the winning side. The Steiner's might think they are big and bad....but these three men here are bigger, badder and have better financial backing......because at the end of the day, the Million Dollar Man, always picks a winning side.</p><p> </p><p> Sid surprisingly interjects here, telling his manager that the Million Dollar Man doesn't need a side to beat the Steiner's......he doesn't need a Corporation, and he certainly doesn't need farmers.....all the Million Dollar Man needs, is The Master and Ruler of the World.....so do everyone a favour, and keep the "help" in the back.</p><p> </p><p> With that Sid walks off in search of his opponent, leaving DiBiase with a less than pleased look on his face, clearly not impressed with having his clients question his decisions in public.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img style="max-width:10%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg"></a><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img style="max-width:10%;</p><p> "src="<a href="https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg"></a></p><p> </p><p> Sid storms to the ring with a look of angry determination on his face for this one, clearly no pleased that his manager has felt the need to invest in some new toys for his Corporation and looking to show the world why Psycho Sid doesn't need any backup. Rick on the other hand does bring some back up with him, in the form of his brother Scott, Sid's opponent in just six days.</p><p> </p><p> Considering the workers involved, these two men actually have a pretty decent match, with Sid having plenty of verbal sparring with Scott down on the floor. The biggest question of the match was whether or not Psycho Sid needed that back up that Ted DiBiase was so desperate to provide.....and it was a question that we never really got an answer too. Because during one of his frequent visits to the floor to exchange words with Scott Steiner (unbeknown to Sid) DiBiase frantically motions to Mark Canterbury to make his way down to the ring, sneaking in behind the officials back, and dropping Rick with the Inverted DDT, before escaping like a thief in the night, damage done.</p><p> </p><p> Neither Sid nor Scott realise the impact that Canterbury has had on the match....all Sid knows is that Rick is down and prime for a Powerbomb. Sid never takes his eyes off Scott Steiner, as he drives his brother into the mat, screaming at him that "<em>you're staring at your future, boy"</em>, before covering for the one, the two, and the three.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Psycho Sid</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="P4qW3WS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/P4qW3WS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> After that entertaining little match, we are treated to a promo package featuring Mankind and The Undertaker. <p>Something very strange happened this week......we beat Nitro in the ratings war......which in itself isn't strange, we've been doing that on a weekly basis for months now.......no the strange thing wasn't that we beat them.....but the fact that we absolutely destroyed them......and I mean destroyed....17.56-14.87.......that's up nearly a whole point for us and down almost a full point for them.....putting us nearly three points clear for the week........and I have no idea why.</p><p> </p><p> I know we put on the better (if not somewhat disappointing) show this week.....I know we regularly put on the better show......but that's a hell of a lot of people turning WCW off and switching the WWF on.......maybe it was something to do with the main event of Nitro.....which bizarrely......incomprehensibly......saw WCW World Champion Ric Flair drop the title that he had held since December of 1995.....in a triple threat match......against Arn Anderson and Bam Bam Bigelow.....your new Champion? Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow.........yeah you saw that correctly.......Bam Bam Bigelow is the WCW World Champion.....a man who was teaming with Vader only a few weeks ago, to lose against the Blue Bloods.....is the Champion of a company which boasts the likes of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting, Luger.....hell even the Warrior would have been a better choice......his tag team partner Vader would have been a better choice. Not that Bam Bam is a bad worker, far from it......but World Champion? You tell me......but according to the ratings, he ain't gonna put butts in seats......what SHOULD put butts in seats however, is the September offering of In Your House.....and it's coming up....next.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="80KQxoo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/80KQxoo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for In Your House, Week 3, September 1996</strong> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>World Wrestling Federation Championship</strong></p><p> Shawn Michaels © vs. Chris Jericho</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship</strong></p><p> The British Bulldog © vs. Faarooq</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championships</strong></p><p> Steve Austin & Brian Pillman © vs. The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Owen Hart)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Casket Match</strong></p><p> The Undertaker vs. Mankind</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Loser Leaves The WWF</strong></p><p> Chris Candido vs. Triple H</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Scott Steiner vs Psycho Sid</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Ahmed Johnson vs. Scott Hall</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Al Snow vs. Raven</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Son's of Samoa (Rikishi, Kokina & Rocky Maivia) vs. The Texas Long Riders & Jesse James</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

Out of curiosity, and I don't know if I will be able to explain what I mean correctly.....how does everyone here view opening segments in Pay Per Views? I've taken to writing an opening segment in my write ups....(hype video plays, announcers welcome us etc)....but not actually booking it, because it seems like kind of an easy way to spam an A* rating and get the "this started the show strong" note or whatever it says. I could easily chuck my most over guys in a random video segment, but I don't know......does a promo package start a show off strong? Because personally I don't think it does......an angle/in ring promo (which is how I generally start my TV shows lol) then yeah, I can see that......or am I just overthinking things? Lol.....like I say, just seems like an easy way to spam a good rating

As many different threads across this board have discussed, the game is a sandbox and putting together angles with video packages that "spam" for ratings is only cheating if you think it is. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> In my own personal games I tend to do the announce/video segments on PPVs only and try to start to the TV's with either a hot angle or "work the crowd" match. </p><p> </p><p> Long story even longer, play the way that you like to. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> PS: Haven't predicted lately as I've fallen behind. Looking forward to having some time to catch up and I'm sure with this card, IYH will be an awesome show.</p>

<p>I tend to not book opening videos or announcer monologues anymore, when I used to do it all the time in TEW13. The reason being that I always make those minor angles, and minor angles won't give you a strong start to your show, no matter how good they are. Maybe that's a bit of a "power gamer" way to look at it, but that strong start bonus is not something I take lightly.</p><p> </p><p>

Shawn Michaels - <em>Jericho will put up a great fight, but his time won't be for a few more years.</em></p><p>

Faarooq - <em>A win here validates the Nation... but a DQ win would be very sweet, as it gives them way more fuel. Either way, Faarooq picks up the win.</em></p><p>

Hart Foundation - <em>I think Pillman is going to eventually join the Harts as he did IRL. This will take the belts away from he and Austin, giving Austin a blockade of Hart Foundation to take on. I know that the Harts aren't heels like they were IRL, but the point will be the same: put Austin over until he's ready to dominate prime time.</em></p><p>

Undertaker - <em>Taker builds more steam ahead of facing Kane... and poor Mick is left behind to pick up the pieces.</em></p><p>

Triple H - <em>With the headache H is backstage, I would almost go with Candido here, buuuuuuuut... I think Chris will be heading to ECW or Japan, he just can't become the star that H can.</em></p><p>

Scott Steiner - <em>I dig Sid's story, and I think it can continue pretty well if he loses here. Perhaps he even turns against Ted at some point soon?</em></p><p>

Ahmed Johnson - <em>Hall has become a bit of a stepping stone to Shawn lately, but it's really just how it goes with a big stable like that. Johnson gets big here (hehehe) and lines up to face Shawn down the line.</em></p><p>

Raven - <em>DeMott turns and joins the Nest.</em></p><p>

Sons - <em>Rocky is the one to watch here, he picks up the win to take his family to victory.</em></p>

We have the usual opening promo package, running down the storylines and events that are due to culminate (or continue) this evening, before we head down to the commentary table, where Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. They quickly run down tonight's matches, before the bell sounds and the Nation of Domination's music starts to play......</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> N/A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="j0BxFi5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/j0BxFi5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="w3aaloG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/w3aaloG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="FOurmAt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FOurmAt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......indicating that our first match this evening, will be for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, as the British Bulldog puts the gold on the line against Faarooq, who makes his way to the ring right now, along with the entire Nation of Domination. Bulldog makes the walk down the aisle last, as is befitting to the Champions of the World Wrestling Federation....and is all smiles as he proudly wears the Intercontinental Title around his waist.</p><p> </p><p> The match gets underway, and this was always going to be a hard hitting display. Both of these men are big brutish powerhouses that like to utilise high impact manoeuvres....and neither is particularly used to being on the receiving end. There's a very old school vibe at the start of this one. The two men lock up and jockey for position but it ends in a stalemate. Second attempt and this time Faarooq is able to catch a side headlock. Bulldog backs him into the ropes however and uses the momentum to push himself free, sending his opponent across the ring. Faarooq rebounds off the opposite side of the ring and attempts to drop the Bulldog with a shoulder tackle, but neither man gives an inch. Davey Boy invites him to try again, and again the two men collide but neither goes down. Bulldog flexes his biceps which infuriates Faarooq, leading to the Nation Member challenging his opponent to try a shoulder barge of his own. Smith obliges, but instead of steadying himself for the blow, Faarooq swings for a clothesline instead. The Bulldog counters that into a crucifix pinning attempt however, which gives him a very near fall early into the match.</p><p> </p><p> Faarooq gets back to his feet, flustered at how close he just came to losing the match, and offers the Bulldog a test of strength. Davey Boy didn't back down for a second, but the second he raised his arms Faarooq hit a stiff kick to the midsection. He tries an Irish Whip but the Champion reverses it, leapfrogging his opponent on the rebound and then hits a spinning powerslam as Faarooq comes back off the ropes. Bulldog continues to show his power, pounding on the Challenger, before hoisting him up over his head, dropping him with a press slam, and Faarooq bails to the floor.</p><p> </p><p> Bulldog follows the shook Challenger to the outside, and drives his opponent into the ring post post. Kama hops onto the apron to distract the official and Nelson Knight charges at Davey Boy.....who ducks.....leaving Knight to crash into Scorpio, sending him flying. The distraction was enough however, and Faarooq is able to blindside the Bulldog, sending him crashing kidney first into the steel ring steps....then rolls him back into the ring. Back between the ropes and Davey Boy swings with a wild right hand, but Faarooq ducks it and hits a big back suplex that leaves the Champion down and hurting. Bulldog rolls to his stomach in an attempt to push himself back to his feet, but Faarooq hits a series on knees to the back of his head and neck. The Challenger pulls Smith back to his feet and whips him into the turnbuckle, then drives his shoulder into the Bulldog's midsection a series of times. Irish whip into the opposite corner, this time followed up with a high back body drop.</p><p> </p><p> Bulldog uses the ropes to pull himself back to his feet, but Faarooq is waiting and runs through him with a big clothesline. He arrogantly places a foot on the Champions chest, raising his fist in the Nation's salute, but the cocky cover only earns him a one count. Again Bulldog gets back to his feet, and again the arrogance of Faarooq is on display, as he utilises Davey Boys signature delayed vertical suplex against him, this time following it up with a near fall. Another Irish Whip from the challenger, who drops his head for the back body drop again, this time however Davey Boy leaps over with a sunset flip....but before he can pull his opponent down for the pinfall attempt, Faarooq punches him right between the eyes. He drops to his knees over the chest of the Bulldog, arms raised in victory as the official makes the count.....Bulldog is able to hook his legs up under his opponents arms however, pulling Faarooq down for a pinfall attempt of his own that gets a two.</p><p> </p><p> This makes Faarooq mad, and he hurls the champion into the corner, where he stomps his opponent a few times, before mounting the middle rope to deliver a series of punches. Davey Boy is able to cut the flurry off midway through however, lifting Faarooq and walking him to the middle of the ring where he connects with an inverted atomic drop....backs up.....then flattens his opponent with a last ditch clothesline that leaves both men down on the mat. There is the customary ten count as neither man is on his feet, which the pair break by a count of nine, before laying into each other with punches. Bulldog gains the advantage here and goes on an offensive spree that sees him return the favour from earlier, hitting a delayed vertical suplex of his own. He goes for the cover but Kama jumps into the apron....only to be knocked off again by a running Dropkick from Smith. Scorpio is up next, but a right hand soon sends him back to the floor. The Champion goes to run the ropes, looking to connect with a clothesline, but Nelson reaches into the ring and trips the man, sending him crashing to the mat.</p><p> </p><p> The official has seen enough by now, and contemplates disqualifying Faarooq for the Nation's interference, but instead decides the best course of action is to send Kama, Nelson and Scorpio to the back, barring them from ringside. Faarooq is absolutely livid, screaming about conspiracies and that the "man" is just trying to screw the Nation again. He goes so far as to grab the referee by his shirt, but the official doesn't back down, telling Faarooq to concentrate on his opponent, not the man in the stripes. Faarooq turns to do just that......right into Davey Boys waiting arms, who scoops him up and crushes him with the Running Powerslam......three seconds later and the Champion retains.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> .....and <strong>Still</strong> WWF Intercontinental Champion, The British Bulldog.</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cr5i0Lz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cr5i0Lz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NqqfCgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NqqfCgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We head to the back now for the first interview segment of the evening.....not that there is much of an interview to be had. Raven himself has made quite the impression since his arrival, charismatic and not afraid to talk.....(even if what he says is sometimes a riddle in itself)......he has been front and centre of many angles since his arrival....including a brief interaction with Mankind, that the Announcers have been speculating about ever since.</p><p> </p><p> Al does indeed make his way out alone for this one....no Head, no Bill DeMott.....that may well prove to be his downfall however, because Raven is far from alone, flanked by the four man that Al defeated during Raven's trials.....Doink, Christopher Daniels and the Dogs of War, Wrath and Crush. Jim Ross remarks that Al Snow has never been the most stable person in the WWF, but coming out here alone for this one may well be the craziest thing he's done yet. The bell sounds and the two men come towards each other, where Raven stands, arms outstretched, telling Al that it's not too late to come home....the door is always open.....Snow has come too far and suffered through too much to stop now, and his answer to Raven is to tackle the man to the ground, where he delivers a succession of punches.</p><p> </p><p> Raven scurries away from the onslaught, and immediately rolls to the outside less than a minute into the match, but Snow is straight after him, continuing the attack, before finally slamming Raven's head into the safety barricade and whipping him into the ring apron, before throwing him back into the ring. Snow hits an inverted atomic drop, followed by a series of blows that drive Raven back into the corner. Snow snapmares his opponent out of the corner to the mat, before connecting with a running kneedrop. Raven tries to fight back with a trio of punches, but Snow puts a stop to that with a hard headbutt and an overhead release belly to belly. Snow is displaying a different side to himself here.....with both his aggression and technical levels turned up a notch. McMahon remarks that he's never seen Al Snow so focused....clearly Raven has awoken something in the usually distracted competitor. Raven tries to charge at Snow, but eats a swinging neckbreaker, then again bails to the floor.</p><p> </p><p> Snow is quick to follow once more though, and smashes Raven into the steel barricade....but he gets distracted by the presence of Doink, who is stalking up from the rear. Snow turns and decks the </p><p> Clown.....but this gives Raven the breather that he needed, and as Al turns and charges him, Raven is able to deliver a drop toe hold that smashes Snow face first into the steel steps. Back into the ring and Raven connects with a snap suplex, then delivers a running low dropkick to Al as he sits back up. Raven sends Snow into the ropes....Al ducks a clothesline and comes back with a sunset flip that draws him a surprise two count, but Raven kicks out, then hits Al with a running knee lift. He whips Snow hard into the corner, following it up with a hard corner clothesline which he transitions into a running bulldog for a near fall.</p><p> </p><p> Raven argues the count with the official, which causes enough of a distraction that The Fallen Angel is able to reach under the bottom rope and choke the life out of Snow. Clothesline attempt by Raven is ducked and countered with a sleeper attempt by Snow, but Raven soon counters that with a back suplex to break the hold and continue on the offence. He hits a series of right hand jabs, then decks his opponent with a discus lariat which scores him another near fall. Raven hooks Snow by the head and tries for the Evenflow DDT, but Al is too close to the ropes....so instead Raven whips Al across the ring and drops his head for a back drop attempt, but Snow stops short and manages to catch Raven with a double underhook suplex.</p><p> </p><p> Both men are down, Raven should be the fresher of the two, but Snow isn't going down without a fight. Back to their feet and it's a straight out fist fight as the competitors each try to gain the upper hand. Surprisingly its Snow who backs Raven up against the ropes, then Irish Whipping him across the ring and catching him with a side slam on the rebound. Raven gets thrown hard into the turnbuckles and Al backs up ready to charge.....he can't go anywhere though, because Doink has his foot gripped from on the floor. Snow finally shakes himself free (kicking his captor in the face for good measure) and runs the length of the ring looking to crush his opponent......unfortunately for him, Daniels has jumped onto the apron and pulled Raven out of harms way at the last moment, meaning Snow eats the turnbuckles......</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="NqqfCgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NqqfCgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......Bill DeMott has obviously seen enough, and comes running down the aisle, still with Head in his hands. Snow yells at him to get back to the locker rooms before he gets hurt, but DeMott isn't listening.....instead he starts clearing house at ringside, knocking both Doink and Daniels silly with a shot off Head a piece.......there's four men at ringside however.....and Wrath and Crush soon over power Bill, who despite his best efforts is on the receiving end of a Double Chokeslam onto the floor.....he probably should have followed Al's advice and stayed in the back......especially since Snow was now paying closer attention to what's happening on the outside of the ring, rather than what's happening inside.....which is why Raven is able to spin him around and then drive his skull into the canvas with the Evenflow DDT.....three seconds later and Raven has his first Pay Per View victory of his WWF career.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Raven</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="cr5i0Lz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cr5i0Lz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="oJqc7jC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oJqc7jC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The bell rings and Raven gets passed a microphone from Wrath. The two men go for the collar and elbow, but Hall quickly jabs a thumb to the eye oh Ahmed before they can lock up.....hits him with a series of right hands.....then scoops the big man up and launches him across the ring with an impressive looking fall away slam. So impressed with his own move is Hall, that he is too busy bending through the ropes giving Waltman the "too sweet" sign to notice that Ahmed Johnson completely no sold the attack, and is instantly back on his feet, waiting for Hall to turn around.</p><p> </p><p> Hall finally does just that, and is met by a rampaging Ahmed, who clotheslines the hell out of him, straight over the top rope and to the floor. Waltman is over quick as a flash to check on the condition of his buddy....he should have probably stayed where he was though, because Ahmed comes flailing over the top like a graceless boulder with a plancha that flattens both KLiQ men. Back inside the ring and Ahmed stays on the attack, hammering The Bad Guy around every side of the squared circle, before finally laying him out with some kind of one armed chokeslam/sit out spinebuster hybrid. This brings Waltman back into the action, as he hops up onto the apron, only to get sent flying from an Ahmed Johnson shoulder block that sends him sailing through the air and crashing into the steel barricade. It was an impressive sight, but it caused Ahmed to take his eye off the game, and Hall was quick to capitalise with a running knee to the kidneys and a back suplex to gain the advantage.</p><p> </p><p> Finally in control, Hall slows the pace right down. The Bad Guy might not be best known for his technical abilities, but he can certainly out-wrestle Ahmed, who usually relies on brute strength to carry him through his matches. Hall catches a hammerlock on Johnson, then drives him down to one knee....transitioning into an armbar....and then arrogantly paintbrushing his opponent around the back of the head....if there's one thing Scott Hall does well, it's play a cocky p###k. He comes off the second turnbuckle with an ax-handle attempt, but Ahmed snatches him mid-air with a bear hug.....Waltman is again up on the apron like a shot, drawing the attention of the official, and Hall is able to break the hold by raking the eyes, then (taking advantage of Waltman's distraction) hits Johnson right in the Johnson with a low blow. </p><p> </p><p> Hall tosses Ahmed to the outside, and now it's his turn to conveniently attract the attention of the referee, while Waltman gains a modicum of revenge for eating the steel barricade, by delivering a series of martial arts style kicks to the big man on the floor. Back inside the ring and the Bad Guy continues his attack. He picks up Ahmed, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck and the back of the tights (cue gratuitous buttock shot) and drives him shoulder first between the turnbuckles, hard into the steel post behind them. Johnson tries to fight back with a couple of right hands, but Hall cuts that off, dropping him throat first onto the top rope with a stun gun, then following right up with a bulldog that almost gets him the three count. </p><p> </p><p> Hall indicates that he's got this one in the bag, dusting his hands off and then motioning for the Razors Edge. He can't quite get the big man up though, and Ahmed ends up backdropping out of it. This clearly annoys Hall, who is back to his feet, whipping Johnson hard into the corner. He follows him in and delivers a series of stinging slaps to the face.....which does nothing more that wake Ahmed up....and severely p##s him off.....so much so that when Hall tries to hip toss him out of the corner, a wide eyed Ahmed blocks it, spins him around so that Hall is in the corner, delivers a series of hard right hands of his own, then hip tosses the Bad Guy halfway across the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Halls woken the sleeping giant now, and Ahmed goes on the attack with a series of hard hitting, high impact moves, that leaves The Bad Guy stunned. Ahmed connects with a spinebuster that very nearly gains him the three count, but Hall manage to get his shoulder up at the last second. Waltman is AGAIN back up onto the apron, this time Ahmed grabs him by the neck and tears his (gimmicked) KLiQ shirt right off his body, before beginning to shove it in his mouth. Scott Hall comes flying across the ring, looking to blindside Ahmed, but Johnson moves at the last minute and the two KLiQ men collide, with Waltman once more leaving his mark on the safety barrier. Hall staggers back to the middle of the ring and Ahmed spins him around, catches the double underhook, and drives him to the mat with the Pearl River Plunge......and with Waltman still down and out on the floor, there is no one there to break up the three count that follows.....Ahmed picks up a big, big victory here tonight against Scott Hall and the KLiQ.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Ahmed Johnson</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="y9AdL14.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Next up we go to some pre-recorded comments from the contestants in the next match.....first off it's the Steiner Brothers, who say that Sid might have been able to cheat his way to victory on Monday Night Raw....but tonight, he won't be that lucky.....(the camera pans back to show Rick Steiner bouncing a baseball bat up and down on the palm of his hand)....because Rick will be there at ringside.....and he's coming prepared to dish out some "Justice" of his own, if those pig farmers try to stick their snouts into the match again.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="NJr4NXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><span>http://i.imgur.com/k6DGuKj.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2Kz9qfQ.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> From there we go straight to the locker room of the Million Dollar Corporation, where DiBiase is standing by with Big Psycho Sid and Southern Justice. Scott will be looking to fare better against Sid than his brother did when the two men faced off on Raw.....although you could argue that without the (unwanted) help of Souther Justice, it may well have been Sid that found himself on the losing end that night. Sid has made it pretty clear that he doesn't want Canterbury and Knight sticking their noses into THIS match.....and DiBiase has agreed......but then the Million Dollar Man has never been known for his honesty, so time will tell.</p><p> </p><p> If you were looking for a five star classic out of this one then you were definitely looking in the wrong place, as this was a far from refined affair....but then this is Sid we are talking about.....and while Scott Steiner has yet to put in a bad showing since his break out programme with Shawn Michaels....(and again tonight, while this isn't a five star match, Scotty puts on a five star display).....the only man to drag anything even resembling a five star match out of Sid is Bret Hart. Regardless of that the crowd is massively into this....Scott's popularity has grown in leaps and bounds.....and Sid......well Sid is just never not over. He and Ahmed Johnson are two of the biggest lumbering behemoths in the WWF....and yet the fans love them regardless.</p><p> </p><p> You may have noticed that I've spent longer talking about the combatants than the match itself......that's because there are very few moves to actually call.....Sid and Steiner quite literally just beat the hell out of each other....as hard and as often as possible. There's no lock up when the bell rings, just two big bulls hammering each other with right hands. Sid powers Scotty all the way back to into the corner, drives a knee into his midsection, then delivers a series of clubbing blows to the back of the neck....Steiner quickly shakes that off though and grips Sid around the waist.....spinning around and hitting a very impressive belly to belly on the near seven footer. Sid gets back to his feet and Scotty runs at him, connecting with a big Steinerline....which rocks Sid, but the big man doesn't go down. Steiner runs the rope and tries for a second shot, this time however Sid gets the Big Boot up, almost taking his opponents head off.</p><p> </p><p> And so the match goes.....no one ever really manages to sustain a serious amount of offence, before his opponent counters with a big move of his own. DiBiase looks to be contemplating interfering on a few occasions, but if a glare from Sid doesn't put him off, then the sound of Rick Steiner slamming his baseball bat against the ring steps does. The match inevitably spills to the outside, where the action is just as (if not more) hard hitting. Both men get a taste of the ring post, Steiner because Sid slams him into it and Sid because Steiner moves when The big man charges at him. Sid taunts Rick Steiner a little bit on the floor, daring him to use the baseball bat...."if you've got the guts little man"....Rick obviously does have the guts, and goes to wind up the bat.....it's only Scott's interjection that prevents it, reminding his brother that he's here for Southern Justice, "....I got this....."</p><p> </p><p> The two men get back into the ring and continue to hammer each other, with Sid finally managing to sustain a small portion of uninterrupted offence. He catches Steiner with a Chokeslam, and is only half a second away from victory before Scott weakly gets a shoulder up. Sid stands over and screams to the crowd that he's the man, before signalling for the Powerbomb that would surely end the match. He does get the Steiner Brother up.....but in a last ditch effort, Scott manages to reverse it....not in a Frankensteiner per say, Sid is far too big for that......but he does hit a hurricanrana of sorts, which is enough to put the big man down. Scott crawls over to his opponent and mounts his back, locking in that Camel Clutch hold that he has utilised as of late......and that's when things get interesting..... </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/k6DGuKj.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2Kz9qfQ.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> .......because surely no one expected the Million Dollar Man to keep his word....and with Sid fading fast, Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight come charging down to ringside. Knight and DiBiase draw the attention of the official their way, while Canterbury slides into the ring......before he has a chance to do anything, Rick is in there like a flash, bat in hand, putting himself between Canterbury and his Brother. Knowing that Rick will keep Southern Justice at bay, Scott keeps the Camel Clutch locked on.....unfortunately that leaves his head wide open.......</p><p> </p><p> ........for Rick Steiner to turn around......</p><p> </p><p> ......and nail his brother right between the eyes with the baseball bat......</p><p> </p><p> .......Scott goes down like a sack of s##t, unconscious and unaware of the betrayal he has just suffered. The crowd are not happy......and let Rick Steiner know it.....not that he cares, because he rolls the still groggy Sid on top of his brother and he and Canterbury both exit the ring. DiBiase turns the ref around.....and three seconds later, Psycho Sid is your winner. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Psycho Sid</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="y9AdL14.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y9AdL14.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="NJr4NXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><span>http://i.imgur.com/k6DGuKj.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/2Kz9qfQ.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> If the crowd was shocked by the shocking betrayal they just witnessed, they were even more shocked by the events that followed.....because with both Sid and Steiner still down, DiBiase, Southern Justice and Rick Steiner re-enter the ring, where the Million Dollar Man retrieves a bulging envelope from his inside jacket pocket and passes it to Rick. Steiner opens it up and checks the contents, nods his head, then hands the package back to DiBiase for safe keeping.....because he needs both hands free for what comes next.....</p><p> </p><p> ......because what comes next, is Rick Steiner, Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight, beating the living hell out of Scott Steiner....so much so, that when Sid finally regains his senses and pulls himself to his feet, even he can't believe what he's seeing. To his credit, Candido ignores Sunny's barbs, and instead is utterly focused on his opponent. The two tie up to start the match, neither man gains the upper hand however and they end up jostling around the ring until the official finally has to separate them in the corner. Helmsley raises his arms indicating a clean break, but actually drives his knee into the midsection of his opponent. Hunter swings a right arm but Candido blocks it and turns it into an arm wringer, which he then transitions into a hammerlock and a drop toe hold....hopping back to his feet and performing some jumping jacks to mock Hunter.</p><p> </p><p> Not to be outdone, Helmsley manages to apply a Hammerlock of his own, but Candido runs at the ropes, before dropping down and sending Helmsley tumbling through and to the outside. Hunter re-enters the ring, but doesn't fare much better as Candido slowly dismantles him, until Helmsley is able to finally put a stop to that with a sucker punch and a hard clothesline. Candido is able to reverse an Irish Whip attempt to send Helmsley crashing into the corner, but posts himself with an attempted shoulder barge, when Sunny pulls her man out of harms way. Chris comes out of the corner, clearly favouring his shoulder, and Hunter is quick to capitalise with an arm breaker.....then Irish Whips Candido hard back into the corner, shoulder first. Again Candido comes out of the corner, but this time he walks right into a huge backbreaker from his opponent. Candido has a brief flurry of offensive moves in an attempt to make a comeback.....it doesn't last long however, after Hunter connects with a swinging neckbreaker.</p><p> </p><p> Back on the offence Helmsley whips Chris into the ropes, connecting with a high knee on the return. He pulls his opponent back to his feet, but Candido reverses it into a small package, which was a hairs width away from winning him the match.....but Hunter got the shoulder up, then almost takes Candido's head off with a clothesline when the two men get back to their feet. Even though Candido has come close to picking up a victory on a number of occasions, Hunter Hearst Helmsley is clearly firmly in control of this one....so much so that he nonchalantly tosses Candido to the outside, presumably just to toy with him.....but it soon becomes apparent that there were other methods to his madness, because he distracts the official long enough to afford Sunny the opportunity to skip (hehe) over to Candido and slap him right in the place, before hopping away with a huge smile on her face.</p><p> </p><p> The KLiQ power couple obviously believe that they have this one in the bag.....Hunter slows down the pace to taunt his opponent, telling him that his career is going to be over, all because of a woman.....and that he should have just let her go. He picks Candido up by the hair, telling him to kiss his career goodbye, then positions him for the Pedigree. He looks down at Sunny, telling her...."this ones for you baby"....as she blows him a kiss.....which is when Candido reaches forward, hooks Helmsleys legs and yanks them out from under him. With Hunters legs still in his grip, Candido rolls forward into a bridge, back across Helmsleys chest, legs gripped firmly in his hands as the official drops to the mat and counts.....</p><p> </p><p> One........</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Two.........</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Three.......</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> .......and just like that.....this one......just like Triple H's WWF career.......is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Chris Candido</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="pLtZNWI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pLtZNWI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bFSpyYx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bFSpyYx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MC3cI3I.jpg" data-src="https://i.Imgur.com/MC3cI3I.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The bell rings and Candido is out of there like a shot, bailing into the crowd, but not before politely telling Sunny to "....kiss my ass...." as he passes her. Mankind tells Dok that it doesn't matter the type of match, the stipulations involved don't mean anything.....the suffering involved doesn't mean anything......the only thing that means anything to Mankind......is going out there and tearing the Undertaker limb from limb ".....for me......for Kane......for my family.......and with Uncle Jimmy by my side, I can't fail......"</p><p> </p><p> Cornette interrupts, telling Mankind that yes, that's exactly why he is going to go out there and do just that ".....but it won't be with Jim Cornette by your side.......because the last time Jim Cornette was by your side in a match with the Undertaker, I almost got Chokeslammed to hell....." Mankind makes his way out first, and despite his choice of associates, he has slowly began to gather a smattering of support from sympathetic members of the crowd.</p><p> </p><p> The Undertakers entrance is spectacular as always.....even more so because he is followed to the ring by an army of Druids who are pushing the custom made Casket, complete with a wooden representation of Mankind's logo on the lid. The Deadman climbs into the ring and begins to raise the house lights.......but Mankind charges, attacking The Undertaker before he has even had a chance to disrobe. He pummels the Deadman with stiff looking rights and lefts, before pulling his coat from him, using one of the leather sleeves to choke the life (death?) out of his opponent, wailing like a banshee as he does so. Mankind sets up for that Stump Puller Piledriver.....but it's far too early in the match, and the Undertaker counters with a backdrop that sends Mankind sailing over the top rope, where he bounces off the lid of the wooden casket and smacks the floor with a thud.</p><p> </p><p> Taker follows him out and since there are no count-outs or disqualifications in this one, goes right to work on punishing Mankind on the outside. He rams him hard into the guard rail, before Irish Whipping him hard into the side of the casket.....following that up with a DDT onto the floor. Taker opens up the casket, looking to end this one early, but Mankind tackles him by the waist, driving him back first into the wooden structure, then rolls him back into the ring, where he lands a leg drop.....a series of stomps, complete with maniacal wails follows that....Mankind then drapes his opponent throat first across the middle rope, then runs and leaps, landing on the back of the Undertaker. Taker drops to the mat clutching at his throat and Mankind hits a series of knee drops right to the temple of his opponent, before indicating that he wants the Casket Lid opened. The officials at ringside oblige, and Mankind attempts to roll his opponent into the structure....but the Undertaker won't go in, clutching at the ropes to stop it.</p><p> </p><p> Realising that The Deadman isn't going down yet, Mankind rolls to the outside and picks up a steel chair, charging at his opponent who has pulled himself up to a standing position with the ring ropes. Mankind swings the weapon, but the Undertaker gets a foot up, booting the chair right into the face of Mankind instead. Taker turns and opens the casket lid, then turns back to pick up Mankind.....but Mankind is already up, and locks a surprise Mandible Claw on the Deadman, the momentum of which sends both men tumbling over the top rope and into the open casket. He holds on to the hold, but the landing obviously loosened his grip, because the Undertaker is able to reach out and grip at Mankinds throat like a vice......forcing both himself and his opponent to a standing position, before lifting Mankind up and Chokeslamming him from the casket, to the arena floor with a splat.</p><p> </p><p> Taker drops out of the casket and lands on the floor, where he picks his opponent up and drapes him half in, half out of the casket, before slamming the lid closed across his back a series of times, before taking a handful of hair and driving the back of Mankind's skull into the ground. Taker picks up his opponent, possibly looking to finish the match off, but in a last moment of desperation, Mankind is able to kick his opponent in the gut, then drive him into the ground with a Double-arm DDT, leaving both men down and in pain....and it takes a while for them to finally pull themselves to their feet.....both rolling into the ring at the same time. The two men go back to laying blows into each other....but the match has taken its toll on both competitors and the fists are swung slower now than they were earlier in the match. Undertaker gets the better deal out of the slugfest and backs his opponent into the corner. He Whips Mankind hard into the opposite turnbuckles, then comes charging in with a big corner splash....runs the ropes and then almost knocks Mankind's head off with a huge big boot, before running his thumb across his throat, indicating that this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> He hoists Mankind up onto his shoulder, looking to position for the Tombstone....but Mankind has been in this position before.....and reaches down, ramming his finger deep into the mouth of his opponent, latching on with the Mandible Claw. Still clutching onto the Deadman's back, the pair once again tumble over the ropes and into the open casket.....this time however Mankind is prepared, and as soon as they land, once again applies the Claw. The Undertaker is fading fast, but he has too much invested to give up now.....and he flails his arm out until he is able to grip the lid of the casket, pulling it down so that it smashes into the back of Mankind's head. It takes three blows, but Mankind finally releases the hold......Taker doesn't release his hold on the casket lid however.....and another three hard blows knock Mankind silly. Dragging both himself and his opponent to their feet.....while still standing inside the casket.....The Undertaker again lifts Mankind up in position for the Tombstone.....and this time there is no fight left in the Deranged One to counter it. Taker drops to his knees, driving his opponents skull into the wooden base....before tumbling forward and landing on the arena floor. The Phenom pulls himself up using the side of the casket........and slams the lid closed......this one.....thankfully for Mankind......is over. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> The Undertaker</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The match is done....and the Undertaker is spent.....but he isn't finished yet. The Undertaker rolls back into the ring, where Paul Bearer is waiting with a microphone and a lighter. </p><p> </p><p> He tells Kane and Jim Cornette that he's waited long enough.....and wasted enough time on Mankind.....he says it's simple....either Kane comes down to this ring and fights him now......or Mankind will suffer the same fate, that Kane inflicted upon their parents......</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="j24FAoX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/j24FAoX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tVfGex3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tVfGex3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......that does indeed bring Kane out.....along with his manager and mouthpiece.....but both men come to a halt at the top of the aisle way. Pillman who is exactly what he says he is....a madman.....and Austin....who, despite been a no good rule breaking son of a bitch, is arguably the number three guy in the company right now.....marginally more over than his opponent here tonight Bret Hart......and when you can say that the only two workers in the company higher on the totem pole than you are The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, then you know you're doing something right......especially when eight months ago you were solidly working the midcard as the Ringmaster.</p><p> </p><p> It's no secret that these two teams don't like each other....in fact Bret and Austin have built up quite the rivalry over the last year. Regardless of the fact that both men have had their problems with the KLiQ, they still seem to end up back against each other. The bell sounds to start this one and the Hollywood Blon.....erm.....I mean Austin and Pillman charge the challengers immediately. If the Harts aren't happy with the direction that the company has taken in recent months, they must hate this....because instead of a wrestling match they are greeted by a brawl......fortunately, for as good a technical wrestler both Bret and Owen are, neither man is unversed in the art of punching a guy in the face. The referee finally restores some order, sending Bret and Austin to their respective corners, leaving Owen and Pillman as the legal men....its Flyin' Brian and The Rocket, as Hart whips Pillman into the ropes and dropkicks him right in the jaw....Austin storms the ring, but he eats a dropkick too....then Bret joins in the fun and the Brothers drop the champs with stereo clotheslines and backdrops, sending the Champions bailing to the floor to regroup.</p><p> </p><p> The Champions get back into the action and Pillman tags in Austin. Stone Cold enters the ring and Bret makes it clear that he wants this one, asking his brother for the tag. Owen obliges and The Hitman and Stone Cold start throwing punches at each other, until Bret sends Austin into the ropes, doubling him over with a knee lift on the way back, followed by a swift Snap Suplex. Bret locks in an arm wringer and drags Austin to his corner, where he tags in Owen. Owen comes in from the top rope, dropping an ax handle on the arm that Bret was holding. Owen transitions from the arm wringer, to a hammer lock, straight into a side headlock, but Austin counters this with a back suplex to break the hold. Bret makes a quick tag to bring himself back into the match, catching Austin with a series of kicks to the gut, then drops him to the mat with a snapmere, before hitting a rolling neck snap on his downed opponent, before picking him up and tossing him through the ropes to the floor.</p><p> </p><p> Bret follows after him, and can be heard telling his opponent that if he wants a brawl, The Harts know how to brawl.....before slamming him right on the floor. Austin is slow to get up and backs away from the Hitman, but walks right into Owen, who delivers another body slam on the floor just to prove Bret's point. The action returns to the ring, where Bret tags in Owen....the Harts have been on fire in this one, but that all comes to a screeching halt when Austin is able to reverse an Irish Whip, and Pillman blindsides Owen from behind as he hits the ropes. Pillman tags in and hits a spinning neck breaker into Owen, before sending him hard into the neutral corner. Pillman charges, but Hart has the presence of mind to move out of the way. The Loose Cannon stops before colliding with the turnbuckles however, and turns to charge Owen again, this time Owen is ready with a backdrop that sends Pillman over the top rope....luckily for Brian through he lands on the apron and surprises Owen with a springboard dropkick right out of the Flyin' Brian playbook.</p><p> </p><p> Owen counters an Irish Whip, which Pillman in turn counters by holding onto the ropes as he hits them.....and in a mirror image of the previous sequence, Owen charges, gets backdropped over the ropes and lands on the apron.......Pillman was ready for this though and lands a quick dropkick that sends Owen flying off the apron to the floor, where he collides with a crash, sternum first into the crowd barrier as only the Harts can. Owen is slow to his feet, but to return the favour from earlier, Austin drops to the floor and delivers a big body slam on the outside, before returning to his corner. Pillman tells the official to count Hart out....the champs are happy to take the cheap victory, but at the count of nine Owen finally rolls back into the ring. </p><p> </p><p> For as good as Owen was playing the cowardly snivelling heel....he plays the face in peril role equally well....and does a wonderful Ricky Morton-esq display here, taking a constant beating, but still managing to get enough blows in to give the crowd their hope spots....before being cut off and put down by the Champs. Pillman whips him into the champions corner, where Austin holds the challenger for some open shots, but Owen is able to punch and elbow his way to freedom....and might have made it back to his corner, had Pillman not been quick enough to catch him with a drop toe hold, before reaching back to tag in Austin. Stone Cold drags Owen back to the corner, where he stomps a good old fashioned mud hole in him....stopping to turn and give Bret Hart the double middle finger.....then goes right back to stomping the snot out of Owen. He pulls Hart to his feet and drops him across the top rope with a Stun Gun that only scores a two count.....annoyed Austin covers again.....and again......before resuming his tactics of stomping the man while he's down. Owen fights to his feet and slowly fights back, but Austin cuts off a kick to the guts by catching hold of Harts foot. He stands their goading Owen, while the younger Hart hops up and down on one leg, before Bret yells at Austin, who turns his head, only to receive a middle finger from the Hitman in a stunning display of hypocrisy that infuriates the Tag Champ. Apparently it was all a distraction though, because it enables Owen to land an enzuguri to the back of Stone Colds head.....and finally, the King of Harts is able to make the hot tag.</p><p> </p><p> Bret comes in like a house of fire, taking it to both Austin and Pillman, who comes charging into the ring as well. Right hands for both of the Champions, before Bret slams their heads together with a double noggin knocker. Pillman runs at the Hitman, but Bret drops out of the way, pulling the top rope down as he does and Pillman sails to the floor. Russian Leg Sweep for Austin......Backbreaker......Elbow from the second rope......and then Bret locks in the Sharpshooter. Stone Cold is screaming in pain, but there's no quit in Austin....and just as the commentators are speculating how long he can hold on, Pillman comes flying off the top with a driving elbow to the back of the Hitman's head, breaking up the hold. Owen gets back into the action, and we have pandemonium as all four men go at it in the ring.....and the pandemonium only worsens with the arrival of..... </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .......Scott Hall and Kevin Nash......who are still both clearly fuming, not only at the fact that the Harts were front and centre and leading the cheers as Triple H was evicted from the building.....but at the fact that the Harts have this Title Shot and not them.....for once they don't actually physically interfere in the match......but they do draw the attention of both Bret and Owen, with promises of retribution.....so much so that Pillman is able to toss Owen over the top rope from behind, while Austin spins the Hitman round, kicks him in the gut.....and drops him with the Stone Cold Stunner......and three seconds later, the Champs retain, in a very good match that was only tarnished by the ending. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> ....and <strong>Still</strong> WWF Tag Team Champions.....Steve Austin & Brian Pillman</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cxFuo6U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cxFuo6U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ysgc13U.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ysgc13U.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="LjBLTcA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LjBLTcA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SC2jCnQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SC2jCnQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Austin and Pillman are handed their belts as Hall tosses Owen under the bottom rope next to his brother, and he and Nash climb into the ring. The KLiQ and the Champions face off for a moment, before Nash dismisses them with a shake of his hand, telling them to take their belts and get out of here ".....we have bigger fish to fry tonight.....but keep those belts warm, because we'll be coming for them soon...." Surprisingly Austin and Pillman meekly back down, stepping aside so that Hall and Nash can stand over the Harts, clearly looking to lay a beating.........</p><p> </p><p> ..........instead what they get however, is a Tag Team Title a piece.....smashed into the back of their heads.....neither Austin or Pillman are about to be dismissed that easily. The KLiQ go down and the tag Champs starts stomping the crap out of them. The Harts are back to their feet now.....and Bret and Owen each lock eyes with Austin and Pillman for a moment, who hold their hands up in a "go ahead" motion......and ten seconds later, both Big Sexy and The Bad Guy are screaming in pain, as Bret and Owen both have a Sharpshooter locked on. The Champions look suspiciously like they are contemplating blindsiding the Hart Brothers from behind.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="IYJgUWD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IYJgUWD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="pzXetTl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pzXetTl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......when Justin Credible and Sean Waltman come running down the aisle.....not that they do much......other than eat a Stunner from Austin and a Time Bomb from Pillman......which leaves them flat on their backs while Hall and Nash continue to scream in the Sharpshooters........following on from Summerslam and this has NOT been a good night for the KLiQ again......and the World Title match is next.......if Chris Jericho somehow manages to capture the gold from Shawn Michaels, where does that leave them?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="AFgXK1C.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AFgXK1C.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This was a big, big ask for Young Chris Jericho.....his first WWF Title match and his first WWF Pay Per View main event......a big ask for anyone.....but take into account the fact that while Jericho has come on in leaps and bounds since January (a literal no body who was scraping the barrel at Enhancement Level) he is still not quite at the main event level.....more of an upper midcard.....so like I say, asking him to step up and headline a Pay Per View? big ask.......but boy did he deliver. He and Shawn put on a hell of a show, and one that was certainly worth of its Main Event placement.</p><p> </p><p> The match starts with The Heartbreak Kid, arrogantly chastising the young Challenger, for having the fall to think that he can hang with the Showstopper.....he can be heard telling Jericho that watching a few Shawn Michaels matches, does not mean that he is anywhere on Shawns level. Jericho's response is to lay a big right hand on the Champion, and this one is under way. A jostling of position early on ends with Jericho taking a ride a cross the ring with an Irish whip....but as Michaels drops his head for a back drop he gets hit with a facebuster instead. A flurry of offence from the challenger, which sees Michaels take his upside down flip in the corner off an Irish whip, only to be clotheslines out and to the floor on his landing. HBK Los to take a breather, but Jericho comes steaming through the middle ropes with a tope, that sends Shawn crashing into the steel barriers. Jericho rolls back into the ring to break the count, before trying a springboard splash over the top.....Michaels is ready this time however and moves out of the way so that all Jericho hits is floor......hard. Shawn picks the hurt challenger up onto his shoulder and charges at the corner, posting him on the steel pole, then rolling him back into the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Back between the ropes, and HBK executes a shoulderbreaker on the same limb that just met the steel....then stomps on it for good measure. McMahon remarks that Shawn Michaels is not usually one to isolate a body part and Lawler replies that no, he's not.....but it's going to be difficult for Jericho to apply that Lion Tamer submission with only one arm. Jericho tries to fight back, but Michaels cuts him off and folds his arm up his back, delivering a body slam onto the shoulder. An arm wringer and a series of elbows later is followed up by Michaels ramming Jericho hard shoulder first into the turnbuckles.....with Jim Ross remarking that this was not the offence they expected to see, when neither of these two men is afraid to fly, to which McMahon's answer is that Chris Jericho was probably not expecting this style of offence either.....which is why it's been so effective thus far. </p><p> </p><p> Shawn takes a breather, taking Jericho down to the mat and wrenching the arm.....but Lionheart won't quit and manages to fight back to a vertical base and hits a series of punches with his good arm, before (in what Jim Ross calls a Rookie Mistake) trying to connect with his bad arm, which Michaels blocks, grabs hold of, and drops down hard to the mat with an armbreaker. With his confidence at an all time high, Michaels climbs to the top, looking for that elbow drop that he utilises so well.....but he takes too long showboating for the crowd and by the time he leaps Jericho has moved.....and now it's Michaels that drives his own arm into the mat. The two men are slow to their feet....and Jericho has to use the turnbuckles to help him stand. Shawn sees this and charges, but again Jericho moves and it's the WWF Champion that gets posted in the corner this time. Chris fires back with some shots, but Michaels bundles him over the top rope. He lands on the apron and Shawn attempts to suplex him back inside the ring, but Jericho puts a block to that.....and in a spot often teased but never delivered, Jericho actually suplexes Michaels up, over the top.....and both men crash to the arena floor below.</p><p> </p><p> Both men are hurt from that exchange, and the referee begins his count. Michaels doesn't look like he's moving anytime soon, and McMahon remarks that a count out here would ensure that the Champion retains his Title.....but at a count of nine, Jericho is able to roll himself in.....and then back out of the ring.....breaking the count and saving his title aspirations. The two men continue to brawl on the floor, and Michaels ends up getting back dropped right into the crowd....again Jericho has to break the ten count....and this time when he returns to the floor, he begins to strip the announce table of monitors and other assorted items, before positioning it slightly away from the ring. He takes hold of Michael's and drags him over towards the table, looking as though he's planning on suplexing the Champ through it....but Michaels cuts him off and drives his back into the ring apron, before rolling him back inside the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring and Jericho is down, so Michaels backs up to the corner and begins to tune up the band. He waits for Jericho to stand, then let's fly....but Lionheart blocks the kick and sweeps the legs, looking to apply the Lion Tamer.....Michaels is wriggling like mad though so Jericho repositions and slingshots him into the turnbuckles. The Showstopper is just that though....and he lands in the second rope, before climbing to the top, presumably looking for that Moonsault....but Jericho is up after him. The two men both stand unsteadily on the top rope, with Jericho looking like he's trying to hit a top rope back suplex, while Michaels is trying to elbow free.....instead what happens is both men tumble and fall all the way to the outside, where they crash through the announce table that explodes on impact.</p><p> </p><p> A sea of medical personal come running down to the ring to check on the two competitors, along with the official and Vince McMahon.....and it looks for all intent and purposes that this one is over and a no contest is going to be declared......and for a good few minutes....far past the mandatory ten count....it appears that is exactly what's happening....but as the medical personnel begin to try and help the two competitors backstage, they begin throwing them to one side and resume hammering blows at each other......security try to separate them, but they also get tossed to one side.....and in the end the official declares that the match will continue....but since they are on the outside, begins his count. They are still fighting as they wearily roll into the ring....exchanging right after right.....until Michaels finally whips Jericho hard into the buckle....and follows in after him.....Jericho is able to use the top rope to leap up however and Shawn goes underneath him where he hits the corner chest first...........but quick as a flash, the second Jericho's feet hit the mat........BANG.........Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere. Jericho collapses in a heap.....Michaels collapses on top of him......and three seconds later, the Champ retains in a very hard fought battle.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> ....and <strong>Still</strong> WWF Champion.....Shawn Michaels</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="bN15JFv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bN15JFv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="7M1mABh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7M1mABh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tsQXS32.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tsQXS32.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="IYJgUWD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IYJgUWD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="pzXetTl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pzXetTl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The (remainder) of the KLiQ rush the ring to check on Michaels.....pulling him to his feet and laying the WWF Championship over his shoulder in celebration. Michaels slowly regains his senses and abruptly shoves his teammates away and walks over to Jericho. He drops down and helps his opponent to his feet.......and as the KLiQ look on in shock, in a rare show of respect......he offers his hand to Lionheart. You can see the disappointment in defeat on the face of Jericho......and it takes him a few moments......but finally he accepts the hand of Michaels, who slaps him on the back, telling him he did good....before raising Jericho's hand in the air for the crowd......</p><p> </p><p> ........and Superkicking him in the face again.........,</p><p> </p><p> With the KLiQ laughing Michaels takes Waltmans shirt off him and drapes it KLiQ side up over the fallen Jericho......before dropping down for his signature poses, shouting to a heavily booing crowd that "......that's why......I'm the man......" as the show signs off on the sickening image that despite all their failings tonight......the KLiQ still hold the top prize in wrestling today. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>The biggest shock to most of our fans coming out of In Your House, wasn't Chris Jericho's star making display......or Rick Steiner's shocking turn on his brother Scott......or Raven's sacrifice to save Mankind......no the biggest shock coming out of In Your House, was the fact that Mr. Paul Levesque.....Hunter Hearst Helmsley.....Triple H......is no longer employed by the World Wrestling Federation. I think most people believed that we had seen the last of Chris Candido.....either another Drug violation, or simply having nothing for him.....but nothing could be further from the truth.....the plain truth is that Helmsley requested his release.....and I was more than happy to grant it. Apparently (according to Mr. Helmsley) I didn't know how to book a decent storyline, refused to put an obvious main event talent (his words not mine) in the main event.....didn't know how to book an obvious star like him correctly.....etc, etc, etc.....</p><p> </p><p> Obviously the rest of the KLiQ weren't happy by this (the real life kliq that is.....not the on-screen one, because Justin Credible was f#####g ecstatic backstage) and cited these very reasons for their buddy leaving. However when I pointed out the fact that a) Helmsley had a pretty damn good undefeated run...... b) a WWF Intercontinental Title reign..... c) got paired with the number one female in wrestling today..... and d) had a pretty dominant run along with the rest of the KLiQ, they finally started to see things my way......and the fact was, that for every dickish move he made, I either fined his stupid ass, or punished him on screen.....he didn't like the fact that I wouldn't let him get away with being a douche.....and he took his ball and went home....they were still p####d don't get me wrong.....but now at least some of their anger was directed at Mr. Levesque instead of just me. Nash said he could understand him leaving for a better deal somewhere else, but Hunter has just made himself unemployed with no official offer on the table anywhere else....and that's just bad business sense......</p><p> </p><p> Either way, goodbye Hunter Hearst Helmsley.....and good luck in your future endeavours....you for one will not be missed by me.</p><p> </p><p> In other KLiQ news, a minor shock to some saw Ahmed Johnson pick a victory up over Scott Hall.....and in pretty convincing fashion. Scott Hall truly is the total package.....a big, big man, with the wrestling abilities, psychology, star presence and microphone skills that would put most others to shame.....Scott Hall could....and should.....be a World Champion in any promotion he's in.....the reason Scott Hall HASN'T been a World Champion in every promotion that he's in however....is Scott Hall....Scott has let his demons get the best of him on more than one occasion, and is simply too unreliable to push to the very top. The last thing you want come Wrestlemania, is your World Champion not turning up to the event, (or your Intercontinental Champion not showing up to the Royal Rumble as we saw this year) because he's busy getting wasted down the 'Friendly Tap'.....and now, at 37 years of age....probably due to the years of alcohol and pharmaceutical abuse, Scott is showing every single year of that age, and unfortunately it's beginning to effect his ring work. Nothing overly noticeable yet, but he's definitely on the decline.....I only hope he can stay straight and sober long enough to enjoy however many years he has left in the ring, because the man truly is a natural....as well as a tragic example of wasted talent.</p><p> </p><p> Barry Windham did Rocky Maivia a huge favour giving him the pinfall at In Your House....I hope the kid realises what a privilege it should be to get the victory over a veteran of Barry's calibre....especially when Windham went all out and broke his foot in the process. It's nothing to serious, and he should be back in action within a month....luckily no one was to blame, it was just a freak accident, but at least the Samoan's had the decency to seek Barry out after the show to check on him....good form. Anyway, that's another Pay Per View down.....time to build towards the next.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>OOC:</strong> On the subject of Triple H. Helmsley has been furious with me for the best part of four-five months now.....made even worse by numerous fines and warnings.....the fight with Scorpio, the fight with Credible.....another fight the day of IYH with Barry Horowitz of all people....he was a royal pain in my backside....and asked for his release the day after Summerslam. Now I could have refused and stroked his ego and probably got him back on side given enough time, money and willingness to look the other way to his crap.....then I thought f##k it.....he might be one of the biggest names in Wrestling today, but that's with hindsight, and if this game was real, no way would I be pegging 1996 Hunter Hearst Helmsley as a 12 times (or whatever he is now) World Champion......and in fact, with the grief he causes backstage, I'd probably hold the door open for him to leave. So I quickly cobbled together a way to write him out.....just so happens that Candido was back from rehab at the same time. I was originally going to edit his contract down to one day remaining and let it lapse, but it turns out putting Candido over on this show was enough for him to request his release again, saving me the bother. Mr. Stephanie McMahon is now officially unemployed.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 4, September 1996</strong> </p><p> </p><p> Steve Austin, Brian Pillman, Bret Hart & Owen Hart vs. The KLiQ (Hall/Nash/Waltman/Credible)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship</strong></p><p> The British Bulldog © vs. Goldust</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Match to determine the #1 Contender for the WWF Championship</strong></p><p> Ahmed Johnson vs. Psycho Sid</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Al Snow vs. Mankind</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> The Son's of Samoa (Rikishi & Kokina) vs. The Nation of Domination (Kama & Nelson Knight)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

<p>Really liked IYH, the end with Shawn felt perfect. Your explanation of why Hunter is gone works, he got a much bigger send-off than he probably should have.</p><p> </p><p>

Currently not a thing, sat in the unemployment line.....I'm sure he won't be out of work for long though, WCW will no doubt snap him up at some point. He's not quite at main event level (for me anyway) but he's still probably the biggest name free agent out there.....plus when you consider that Bam Bam Bigelow is their Champion, and Hogan is still feuding with Abdullah the Butcher, they could certainly use the shot in the arm.....although I may have to edit his name if they do sign him. He's classed as Hunter Hearst Helmsley in the database and that's my trademark damn it lol

Week 4, September 1996

Lawrence Joel Coliseum

ATT: 14,600

TV: 17.03

We are just 24 hours removed from In Your House, and as is the custom, we are greeted with the usual still image opening featuring the highlights of the show.....Rick Steiner selling out and turning on his brother Scott, The Undertaker putting the final nail into the coffin of Mankind, before Raven's surprising sacrifice.....the final match of Hunter Hearst Helmsley's WWF career, as he came out on the wrong side of a Loser leaves town match with Chris Candido.....and the possible career making performance of Young Chris Jericho, who despite not walking out of In Your House the WWF Champion, took Shawn Michaels to his very limit.

Down to ringside and we are greeted by the ever present combination of Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler, who welcome us to another jam packed edition of Monday Night Raw. Lawler is quick to gloat about the exit of Triple H last night, stating that's one down, five to go.....

bN15JFv.jpg7M1mABh.jpgtsQXS32.jpgIYJgUWD.jpgpzXetTl.jpg

MC3cI3I.jpg

......and speaking of the five to go, out they come now to open the show, accompanied by the vivacious Sunny, who (unsurprisingly considering her history) has seemingly moved on from Triple H already, as she walks arm in arm down the aisle with the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, complete with Shawn's WWF Championship draped over her shoulder. They pass the announcers, where Credible is quick to exchange words with Lawler, still wearing the King's Crown from a few weeks ago, then head straight to the ring, where Sunny hands a microphone to the WWF Champion.

Michaels pauses for a moment to look at the men surrounding him, (with a slightly confused look on his face) saying that something's not right.....there's something missing from this picture. He mimes using his fingers to count in an overly dramatic display, before snapping his fingers in a eureka moment, saying he's got it....it's not someTHING that's missing, but someONE.....and that one is Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Michaels says that make no mistake, there will be repercussions because of this.....Candido, The Harts....and anyone else that was stood laughing as Helmsley was evicted from the building.....but the fact of the matter is, Hunter Hearst Helmsley is no longer employed by the World Wrestling Federation.....because he simply wasn't good enough! There is no way that Triple H should have lost to a scrub like Chris Candido, and yet this morning, Candido woke up with a WWF contract, and Hunter didn't....

".......but then again......you (pointing at Waltman) should never have lost the Light Heavyweight Title to that little Mexican Midget, Rey Mysterio.....and you two (pointing at Hall and Nash) should certainly never have lost the Tag Team Titles to Austin and Pillman....."

.....Nash looks down at Michaels for a moments, before telling him two things....the first being that they were never actually beat to lose those Tag Titles, that was the Steiner Punks......and the second.....is that Shawn Michaels needs to get that finger out of his face, before Big Sexy breaks it off......Nash tells him to remember that he's here because he's Michaels friend, NOT because he's Michaels subject.....Shawn slowly drops his hand, and while he doesn't apologise, his tone is definitely more respectful, as he tells Nash that he might not have physically lost at Summerslam.....

"......but you didn't win either.....and you're NOT holding the WWF Tag Team Titles now because of that.....It's becoming a little bit tedious now, coming out here week in and week out, repeating the same statement over and over again......because right now....and I've got the gold belt to back it up.....the only one around here that's holding up their end of the deal......is the reigning WWF Champion, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels....."

......Michaels says that it's about time that the rest of the KLiQ, started following his lead.......starting with tonight......by destroying The Hart Foundation, Steve Austin and Brian Pillman.......and THEN......take back those WWF Tag Team Championships......AND.....the Light Heavyweight Championships.......otherwise they're about as much use as Triple H, and may as well hand in their KLiQ shirts right now.....

Waltman seems to take the dressing down well, telling Michaels that Mysterio is as good as done.......Hall and Nash however don't take being spoken too in such a manner quite as kindly......telling Shawn that they'll take back those Tag Team Title because THEY want to, not because he's telling them.......and as for taking off these shirts? Well, Shawn is welcome to try and make them.....but that might not go so well for the Champ. It looks like there's a little bit of dissension in the ranks of the KLiQ, but Waltman and Credible prove the cooler heads, calming the situation down while Sunny coo's in Michaels ear....and eventually the five men leave, the same way they came in.....as a unit.

The British Bulldog is back in action, and back defending his Intercontinental Championship. Davey Boy promised to be a fighting Champion, and he's living up to that promise so far.....tonight will be no walk in the park however.....because he's going one on one with a former Intercontinental Champion.....and a man that only had to forfeit the Championship due to injury.....and that man's name is Goldust.

Goldust is a wrestler who goes under the radar a lot here in the WWF.....an underrated worker, with an underrated win/loss record that more than justifies his shot here.....although arguably since his last big victory came at the hands of Chris Jericho, Goldust would have plenty of justification to stake claim to a Word Title opportunity. He has to settle for the second tier title here tonight however......and even that doesn't go according to plan....because the Bulldog is able to carry his recent run of good form INTO this match......and carries the Intercontinental Championship OUT of it.....picking up a solid pinfall victory after hitting Goldust with the Running Powerslam.

Winner: .....and Still WWF Intercontinental Champion, The British Bulldog.

Hey look, it's Dok Hendrix.....and he's in his usual position....backstage. He's not alone though (that would be kind of pointless) as he is joined by the Nation of Domination, who are watching the British Bulldog celebrate his successful Title defence in the ring. Dok asks Faarooq for his thoughts on the defeat he suffered last night, at the hands of Davey Boy Smith.....

"......defeat at who's hands? Because I'll tell you now Dok, the British Bulldog never defeated Faarooq last night......no, it was the "Man" that defeated Faarooq last night......it was bogus officiating that defeated Faarooq last night.....because last night, not only were Nelson, Kama and Scorpio ordered to leave the ringside area.....for absolutely no reason may I add......but the official then placed his hands on ME!.....shoved ME into the Bulldog.....and then delivered the fastest count known to man......in another blatant attempt to keep the Nation down.....but then I shouldn't be surprised......I don't fit the WWF Corporate mould for what a Champion should look like......there's a little too much "colour" in this picture.....if you get my meaning.....because I certainly didn't see the referee placing his hands on the whiter than white English Boy.....did you?....."

9iWOj1g.jpg5xwXg1I.jpgVoT036M.jpg

......before Dok can answer however, we have some new arrivals backstage......The Sons of Samoa.....who are beaming after their victory last night. Rikishi tells Faarooq to change the tune, he's heard this one enough already. He tells Faarooq that the only thing holding the Nation down, is the ten tonne chip that they carry on their shoulders. He says that the SoS ain't no pretty blonde haired blue eyed boys.....but they get plenty of opportunities around here.....in fact they have the opportunity right now.....to shut the Nation's mouths once and for all.

Faarooq looks the trio up and down for a moment, before sucking his teeth at them.....telling them to wise up.....

".......you think you got it all good now? But give it six weeks and they'll have you bouncing coconuts off each other's heads.....if anything, YOU should be working WITH the Nation.....NOT against them......you three won last night.....does that mean you get a shot at Austin and Pillman tonight? Hell no, you get to tangle with the brothers that cause the brass problems......we'll see you out in that ring......but ask yourself this.....are you really getting the opportunities you think you are?...."

The two groups leave, and Hendrix is about to sign off back to ringside, when a woman can be heard pleading in the background to be left alone.....being the crack investigative journalist that he is, Dok tells the camera man to follow him as they look for the source of the sound.....

5ARJfr6.jpgdYDRIuH.jpgKnKSFDq.jpg

.....and just around the corner they find Sable.....back to the wall, as Billy Gunn and Mr. Perfect crowd around her, each with an arm placed up against the wall, basically caging her in. She's pleading with them to just let her past, stating that she just wants to go and find Marc. Gunn and Perfect aren't having any of it, laughing as they tell her that she should ditch the loser and come party with the Bad Ass of the WWF. She's adamant that she isn't interested however....not that this dastardly duo care, as they attempt to drag her off down the corridor anyway......

wdkMubP.jpg

......which is when Marc Mero comes flying into shot, crashing into Gunn and laying a series of punches into the side of his head. Unfortunately, while Mr. Perfect might not be cleared to wrestle....he's perfectly capable of fighting.....and nails Mero in the back of the head with a stiff kick that knocks him off his client and to the floor, where the two men descend on him, laughing as they stomp the snot out of him, before finally walking away, telling Sable that she missed her opportunity....as the curvy blonde checks on her man.

We do indeed have the Sons of Samoa facing off against the Nation of Domination next, as Rikishi and Kokina square up against Kama and Nelson. Rocky comes down with the SoS, taking up residence on the floor in their corner....while Faarooq and Scorpio accompany their Nation Brothers to the ring. Faarooq is very vocal on the outside.....particularly whenever young Rocky Maivia is in earshot......telling him that he should know the injustice and prejudice that the Nation fight every day.....after all, his father Rocky Johnson was one half of the first black WWF Tag Team Championship team in history.....HE knows the struggle with the "Man" is real. To his credit Maivia brushes the comments off, preferring to focus on the action in the ring.

As for the action in the ring.....we have two mammoth men going at it.....Kokina and Nelson Knight.....who the King informs us have the combined weight of a Jumbo Jet....(they don't....obviously.....but you get the point he was trying to make....they heavy)....and then there's Kama and Rikishi....neither of which are known for their finesse. So obviously we have a rather heavy hitting affair as four big old men punch the senses out of each other. Rocky keeps an eye on the match for as long as he can, but he's soon sucked into an exchange of words with Faarooq.....which is when Scorpio is able to trip Rikishi from the outside.....who walks straight into a big boot from Kama....followed up by a HUGE splash from Nelson.....scrape that Samoan up off the mat, because he's done.

There's a brief promo package, pimping the In Your House encore, then we are back down to ringside, where Lionheart is making his way down the aisle. He has a disheartened look on his face, but the crowd don't care that he lost last night.....if anything he has a fan base following the loss than he had before it. He thanks the crowd for the warm reception, but says that he was hoping to have been stood here tonight with the WWF Championship around his sexier than average waist....unfortunately that wasn't to be.....and despite his best effort, he lost to the better man last night.....because like him or not, Shawn Michaels won that match with no help from anybody....no cheating....no interference.....he won, I lost....no excuses.......it was after the match that the true Shawn Michaels came out.....kicking me right in the face....instead of admiring the fact, that Chris Jericho took WWF Champion Shawn Michaels, to the very limit.....

"......and as much as it kills me to say it, following that match, I was fully prepared to walk down to this ring.....congratulate you on a job well done, and openly admit, that the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels IS the Showstopper.....IS the icon.....IS the main event.....but instead, now I feel like coming out here and saying that the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels IS a jackass.....IS a disappointment.....IS the worst Champion since Stan the man Stasiak......you might think you're the Captain of the KLiQ.........the Coolest Cat in town.....but Captain Crunch is cooler than you.....Chris Jericho is cooler than Shawn Michaels.........and The Heartbreak Kid ain't got nothing......on the Ayatollah of Rock n Rolla......"

.....Jericho goes on to say that is Shawn Michaels wants to kick him in the face again......then at least have the cajonies to do it in a rematch......for the WWF Championship.......or did Triple H, Old Happy Harry Hard-On....take Michaels balls with him when he was kicked out of the building last night?

bN15JFv.jpg

......surprisingly that brings out the Champ, who walks out onto the entrance way with a microphone in one hand, while the other is on his hip as he over enthusiastically mimes a big laugh, before telling Jericho that.....

"......that was funny.......you're a funny guy Chris.....of course, I'd rather be the World Wrestling Federation Champion than a comedian, but that's just me.......now as far as giving you a rematch for the WWF Championship goes? Chris, I did a little research on you......after you clearly know so much about me, I thought it only fair that I learnt a little bit more about you......and see the thing is.....you're going to be a little bit too busy, to be worrying about me and the WWF Championship....."

46EV5Y1.jpg

....no sooner had Michaels finished talking, then a mystery man comes flying into the ring behind Jericho, almost taking his head off with a clothesline to the back of the head....

".....I believe you two know each other.....but for the nice ladies and gentlemen in the audience and at home, let me introduce you to Lance Storm.....this is Chris Jericho's Marty Jannetty....the former partner that he stabbed in the back for a taste of fame and fortune.....hey Lance, just be grateful that there were no windows near by when he dumped you......I'll leave you two to get re-aquatinted....bye bye funny man...."

.....and they do get re-acquainted....or at least Chris Jericho's face gets re-aquatinted with Lance Storms fist.....as the newcomer mounts young Jericho, raining down blows to his face, before gripping hold of him and spinning him over into a Single Leg Boston Crab, that has Jericho screaming in agony, until the officials finally hit the ring and break up the assault.....but Chris Jericho is still in a lot of pain as we go to commercial.

We're back from commercial, and we go from one promo straight to another.....although this is less of a promo and more of a Challenge.....as Al Snow makes his way down to the ring. He's minus Head.....and minus Bill DeMott.....but what he does have, is a microphone in his hand and a determined look on his face. He climbs into the ring and instantly calls out Raven.....he says no Head, no Bill.....none of your little followers.....just you and me....right here.....right now.......

P4qW3WS.jpg

......Snow does get someone......but it's not Raven.....instead it's Mankind that comes walking down the aisle, much to the confusion of Al. Mankind rolls into the ring, taking the microphone off him and telling him that Raven won't be coming out tonight.....he says that last night, Raven did something for him, that NOBODY else ever has......

"......and what he did for me.....was pay the ultimate sacrifice......he stared death himself in the face....and he felt my pain because of it.......you've got him all wrong Al.....if he's got a place in his family for even a monster like me.....then he truly is a god among men......you shouldn't be fighting him....you should be embracing him....he offered to take you to paradise....but you'd rather dance in purgatory with Bill DeMott, than bask in the glow of immortality at the right hand of greatness....."

Snow looks at Mankind dumbfounded, before telling Mankind that he might just be the only one around here who can make even Al look sane.....he says that Mankind has never been more wrong about anything in his life....he says Raven is no God.....and there is no right hand of greatness.....just lies and manipulations.....he says that Raven will use Mankind, just like everybody else has.....and if Mankind is really looking for a home....for a family.....then he should be looking at Al Snow and Bill DeMott.....friendship and equality.....looking out for each other, not looking out for the interests of one.......

......this infuriates Mankind, who says that the only person Raven was looking out for on Sunday......when he offered himself up as a sacrifice to the Undertaker.....was Mankind.....and woe betide anyone that says differently......he says that Snow came out here tonight looking for a fight.....then a fight is what he's going to get.......but it won't be Raven....it will be Mankind.

Mankind hasn't had much luck in recent weeks....back to back Pay Per View losses to the Undertaker, abandonment from the people he thought closest to him....he was close to turning into the red headed stepchild of the WWF....unwanted and I liked by all.....at least until Raven came along.....and did something for Mankind that no one else ever has. Clearly Mankind doesn't take that lightly, and is fiercely protective of his new found friend.....the question is however, is Raven looking for friendship? Or is Raven looking for a means to an end?

Al Snow obviously thinks the latter, and spends a good portion of the match trying to convince Mankind of exactly that....Snow tells the Deranged One, that he doesn't want to fight him....he wants to help him......unfortunately Mankind isn't listening. This is a pretty good brawl from these two, especially for a match that came out of nowhere.....unsurprisingly however Raven's rabble of wrong doers made their impact in the match.....just not quite in the traditional way.....

NqqfCgY.jpgGDTWVB2.jpg0VN77xg.jpgvRMhRGa.jpgtMF90pK.jpg

.....because as the match goes on, the video screen flickers to life, showing Bill DeMott on the floor of the locker room, curled up into the foetal position....while Doink, Daniels and the Dogs of War beat the tar out of him. Snow sees this and halts his attack.....just long enough for Mankind to nail him with a Double Arm DDT....which gives him the victory.

The match is over.....but instead of the soothing sounds of Mankind's victory music, we are treated to an explosion of fire.....as Kane makes his way down the aisle, with Jim Cornette by his side. The two men climb into the ring, stepping over Al Snow, who is slowly regaining his senses. Cornette tells Mankind that he had one job to do last night.....

"......and you couldn't even do that right.....you failed at that, just like you failed in every other aspect of your pathetic life....it's no wonder that you've been alone all your life.....because who the heck would want to be around a failure like you......if you want to run off and play happy families with Raven, then feel free.....but Kane has a little parting gift for you before you go......."

With that Kane's arm snaps out as he clutches Mankind by the throat. Al Snow is back to his feet and sees the scene unfold before him......he's torn though, because he can also still see Raven's followers surrounding a fallen Bill DeMott on the video screen. He looks back and forth between the two scenarios for a moment, before mouthing an apology to Mankind and dashing out of the ring and to the back, seemingly to help out Bill.

Cornette laughs, telling Mankind "....see.....no one cares about pathetic little Mankind....poor little monster that no one loves....." He nods at Kane.....and one Chokeslam and a Tombstone later.....and Mankind has been left lying again.

While they clear the carnage from the ring, we head to a quick video package of The Hardy's latest training session with the Legion of Doom. Again we see Matt and Jeff getting pummelled by the Multi-Time Tag Team Champions.....but the Brothers Hardy are definitely getting more offence in than the have in recent weeks. When the session has ended the video transitions to a shot of all four men sat together, where Hawk hands the brothers a sheet of paper. He tells them to get ready.....because the team written down on that sheet, will be their next opponents. The Hardy's look at the sheet and both seem mildly surprised at what they see, before nodding their heads and telling the LoD that they got this.

Next up we have the Million Dollar Corporation making their way out....complete with newest recruit....an almost unrecognisable Rick Steiner.....I say almost unrecognisable, because gone is the trademark amateur wrestling head gear and letterman jacket......instead he is sporting an expensive looking blue designer suit....however fashion was clearly never Steiners strongest suit (pardon the pun) as he is shirtless under the expensive jacket....with a gold dollar sign medallion type necklace proudly adorning his upper chest. DiBiase tells the crowd to take a look at the new and improved Million Dollar Corporation.....he says that at least ONE of the Steiner Brothers had the good sense to take him up on his offer.....ladies and gentlemen, this is Rick Steiner.

There's an abundance of boos as Steiner takes the microphone....he tells the crowd to shut up, before thanking DiBiase and adding that....

"......Rick Steiner? Make that Rich Steiner......because my wallet is bursting with cash.....you know, a lot of people keep asking me the same stupid question.....'Rich,' they ask me...'why did you go and turn your back on your muscle head brother Scott?'......and the answer is simple.....I didn't!!!.....Scott turned his back on me months ago, it's just that you people were too busy cheering him to notice......"

Steiner goes on to say that he and his Brother are supposed to be a team.....but ever since he got his first shot at the WWF Title back at the King of the Ring, all Scott Steiner has cared about, is Scott Steiner.....He says that while Scotty was focused on Shawn Michaels and the WWF Title, it was Big Brother Rich, that got his ass handed to him, week in and week out by the KLiQ.....and Scott was never there to watch his back.....Scott was never by his side......Scott was too busy looking out for Scott.....well now it's time that Rich Steiner, started looking out for number one......and you can be damn sure that as part of the Million Dollar Corporation....there will always be someone there to watch his back.

DiBiase takes back the microphone, and tells the crowd that thanks to his superior negotiating tactics, this man right here, Rick Steiner.....

"......that's Rich Steiner Mr. DiBiase....."

.....this man right here, Rich Steiner....will be going one on one at In Your House.....with the British Bulldog, for the WWF Intercontinental Championship......and once Psycho Sid here puts an end to Ahmed Johnson next.....HE will be facing Shawn Michaels, for the WWF Championship.....because everything is coming up gold, for the Million Dollar Man.

Ted is about to break out that cackle of his, when Sid again stops him with a hand on his shoulder....he tells him that yes, he will beat Ahmed Johnson next.....and yes, he will beat Shawn Michaels at In Your House......but tonight he's going to prove that he can do it alone.....and he wants EVERYBODY....including DiBiase to go to the back and let him do what he does best......

".....because I didn't need those sheep farmers help to beat Rick Steiner here........."

".......actually, that's Rich Steiner......"

"......and I certainly didn't need RICK Steiner's help, to beat his brother Scott.....so do us all a favour.....get out of the ring.....walk to the back.....and let the Master and the Ruler of the World do his thing......"

For once DiBiase agrees without persuasion, and the remainder of the Corporation head to the back, leaving Sid in the ring, awaiting his opponent.

That opponent is none other than Ahmed Johnson, who wastes no time in coming down to the ring. Ahmed has been on somewhat of a roll recently....and has been running through the KLiQ, looking for exactly this opportunity.....a chance at a shot at Shawn Michaels and the World Wrestling Federation Championship.....he's going to have to work hard to earn that shot however.....as he's up against a big, big man.....and a big, big man with a lot to prove....as much to himself as everybody else, because Psycho Sid truly believes that he doesn't need anybody's help to pick up a victory here in the WWF......and maybe he's right.......but we don't find that answer out tonight.....

http://i.imgur.com/k6DGuKj.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/2Kz9qfQ.jpg

.....because despite Sid's explicit instructions, we still get Southern Justice making their way down to the ring mid way through this hard hitting contest. Sid turns and screams at Dennis Knight to get out of here.....and the official echo's his sentiments.....which is why neither man sees Mark Canterbury roll into the ring and nail Johnson from behind with an Inverted DDT.....before leaving as quickly as he arrived. Sid turns around, and unaware of the interference, snatches Ahmed up and nails him with a Powerbomb, giving him both the victory, and the Title opportunity against Shawn Michaels at In Your House.

He grabs each man by the throat, screaming that he didn't want any interference.....before hoisting both man up in the air with a huge double Chokeslam. He walks over to Ahmed and helps him to his feet, apologising for Southern Justice's actions.....before screaming into a nearby camera to Ted DiBiase, that he's sick of not being listened too.....

It's time for the main event of the evening.....and to say that we have a tale of two teams would be an understatement. On one side we have the well oiled machine that is the KLiQ....and on the other.....well.....to say that the WWF Tag Team Champions Steve Austin and Brian Pillman don't get along with their reluctant partners Bret and Owen Hart, would be an understatement......and in all honesty the Champions find themselves at a bit of a disadvantage....because not only do their opponents want to take away their Championship gold, so do their teammates.

At the beginning of the match however, the Harts and the Tag Champs are able to surprisingly work well together, putting aside their dislike of each other long enough to dominate the opening minutes.....but predictably this doesn't last long, and after Owen Hart accidentally collides with Steve Austin, Austin clocks him in the mouth, leaving him to the mercy of the merciless KLiQ. Much like at In Your House, Hart plays a fantastic face in peril....even more so here because the four KLiQ men frequently use their numbers to split the ring in half, as well as using one man to distract the official, while the other three triple team Hart.

Owen is eventually able to make the tag to his brother....and things descend into chaos as they are known to do....its in that ensuing chaos that the end of this comes.....because as the Harts, Austin and Pillman are cleaning house, the Hitman accidentally elbows Stone Cold in the face.....leading to Austin dropping him with a Stunner.....the rest of the KLiQ clear the ring, leaving Nash to stick the already hurt Hitman with the Jacknife.....and just like that the KLiQ win.

With the match won, the KLiQ are still looking to make their mark after a lacklustre showing at In Your House.....and boy do they.....because with Bret Hart down and out, they already have a man advantage.....and when Hall nails Owen with a steel chair, that man advantage doubles as all four KLiQ members go to town on Steve Austin and Brian Pillman. With Hall, Waltman and Credible holding Austin back, Nash drags Pillman over to the announce table by his hair.....and after shoving McMahon, Lawler and Ross out of the way, Jacknifes the Loose Cannon straight through the wood.

Austin is struggling like a madman, but it gets him nowhere as his three captors beat him down to the ground. Nash walks over to the steel ring steps, and in a move we have seen a few times now, drags them away from the corner.....picks up Austin......and Jacknifes him down straight onto the unforgiving steel. Austin is down, Pillman is down.....both Hart Brothers are down.....the KLiQ are anything but.....and head back into the ring, Credible picking up the WWF Tag Team Championships on his way.....and as Hall and Nash are handed the straps, they hold them high in the air, telling the crowd that these belts are coming home to the KLiQ......at In Your House.
