He welcomes us to the show, before stating that due to the actions of Kevin Nash last week, and to prevent any possible situations from escalating, both Nash AND the Undertaker have been ordered to take the night off. The crowd don't like this, but they do pop when McMahon says he wants to bring out now, a man who has more than a few questions to answer, and that man is none other than the WWF Champion Bret Hart.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="f0DEmgK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/f0DEmgK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Hart comes down to the ring with the World Title around his waist to a good reaction, despite Jerry Lawlers remarks the crowd are clearly still behind the Hitman. Bret gives his sunglasses to a young fan at ringside, before climbing between the ropes and shaking hands with Vince.</p><p> </p><p> McMahon thanks Bret for his time, but says that there are a number of questions that the world need answering. He asks Bret directly if he is working in cahoots with Kevin Nash to keep his title. Harts answer is a blunt "No". He says that the day he needs help to retain his title, is the day he no longer deserves to be WWF Champion, and on that day, if the day comes when the better man beats me fair and square....I'll hand over this Title with no qualms or complaining, coming back stronger than ever to reclaim the gold. Vince says that's all well and good, but why in that case, has Kevin Nash been constantly interfering in his title defences? Bret says that Nash has said time and time again that he wants to be the man to take the Title from him, it's as simple as that. He has asked for a title shot, Bret accepted, the only thing that stopped the match from taking place, was Gorilla Monsoon.</p><p> </p><p> Vince says that surely even Bret can see why people would be suspicious, with Kevin Nash going around attacking people left right and centre, taking out the Undertakers manager Paul Bearer, attacking the Deadman with a chair....but never once laying a finger on the Hitman....it leaves people with questions. Hart says he doesn't care about people's questions, he cares about retaining the WWF Championship week in and week out on his own merit, he cares about knowing that despite what people say, he is a man of integrity and dignity.....he is a fighting champion, and will put the belt on the line, week in, week out, against all comers.....be that the Undertaker, Kevin Nash....or Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania.</p><p> </p><p> Vince tells Bret that defending the title at Wrestlemania might be a pipe dream if the Undertaker has anything to say on the matter. He directs everyone to the little video screen in the RAW sign on the entrance way, saying that The Undertaker might not be here tonight, but he had these words to say to the Hitman as he was leaving the arena last week. Cue the video and we have pre recorded footage of Doc Hendrix stopping the Deadman at the exit following his assault at the hands of Kevin Nash a week ago. It's short but sweet, as a clearly angry Deadman tells both Bret and Nash that the gates of hell will soon be opening for both of them, and until that WWF Title is around his waist, he will not Rest In Peace.</p><p> </p><p> Bret is un-phased, he said he asked for the cage match to prove that he can beat the Undertaker one on one, no questions asked.....and that's exactly what he's going to do. McMahon thanks Bret for his time, telling him that he hopes he's a man of his word at In Your House as we go to commercial.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="KMJ08GR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KMJ08GR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="zEp3Eup.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zEp3Eup.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS <img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHR4YiB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2sHqNDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2sHqNDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> After his stellar work last week, we have a three man announce team tonight, as Jim Ross joins Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler at the commentary booth. The first match of the evening features two former WWF Tag Team Championship duos, both looking to gain another shot at the Gold. The Smoking Gunns, Billy and Bart, vs Nation of Domination members Bobby and Nelson Knight. It's a decent match, with a lot of back and forth action, but the Gunns are clearly distracted by the fact that they have suffered from sneak attacks for the last few weeks from Barry Windham and an as yet unnamed ally....and they were right to be on their guard, because the match did indeed come to a conclusion as the result of outside influences, however not the outside influence you would think. </p><p> </p><p> While the commentary team are busy informing us that the Gunns are going to have a real problem pinning big Nelson Knights shoulders to the mat, Chris Jericho makes his way to ringside. Clearly fed up with the Nations repeated (failed) attempts to beat him down, he's out here to even a score. And he does just that, because while Nelson is distracted by the presence of Jericho, the Gunns are able to catch Bobby with the Sidewinder for the 1, 2, 3 for the win, as Jericho heads to the back, mission accomplished.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> The Smoking Gunns</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="KMJ08GR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KMJ08GR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="zEp3Eup.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zEp3Eup.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With the match over, and the Nation heading to the back, presumably in chase of Jericho, the Gunns don't bother wasting time celebrating the victory. Instead they instantly start to scan the crowd, looking for the next possible attack. When it doesn't come Billy calls for a microphone and the pair call out their assailants, asking them where are they this week? The Gunns are ready for them....or do they only wanna fight when the Gunns have their backs turned like a pair of yellow bellied cowards? Still no response, Billy says that "one way or another, this thing ain't over." and the pair leave the ring, heading back up the aisle slapping hands with the fans, finally able to celebrate their win.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="SVOW7yS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SVOW7yS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bgKzLED.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bgKzLED.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> They reach the entrance way though and two figure come flying out from the back, nearly turning the duo inside out with synchronised lariets. They put the boots to Billy and Bart, before Windham picks up the microphone that was conveniently left by the entrance. He tells the Gunns that his name is Barry Windham and his partner here is Justin Bradshaw....and they are a real pair of Texan men....not some wannabe cowboys running around wearing fake spurs and firing cap guns....these two Texan Long Riders are going to break them in half and send them crying back home to their mothers.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="FOurmAt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FOurmAt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHR4YiB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2sHqNDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2sHqNDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> We go to the back following that, where the Nation of Domination are stood by with Doc Hendrix. The Knights are still sweaty from their match, and Nelson is out of breath from the brisk walk to the back he just did. Doc asks them for their thoughts on the actions of Chris Jericho, and says that with the momentum fully behind him, is Scorpio worried about the safety of his Light Heavyweight Championship come In Your House....Faarooq tells Hendrix to shut up before he snaps his scrawny little neck like a twig.....he says that the Nation are here to take titles and make a statement, by any means necessary....they already have one title, so next week, Faarooq is going to make that statement when he breaks Chris Jericho in half in the middle of that ring. He says that by the end of the night, Jericho won't be in any condition to make it to In Your House.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="aj4V2Qw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aj4V2Qw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS <img alt="uQZlsIM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uQZlsIM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Speaking of the Light Heavyweight Championship, we have a bout here between two men who will be looking to make an impact in the division, and a stamp on the rankings for a title shot. Young Chavo is still learning his craft, but he's only going to get better being in the ring with workers like Hakushi. Unfortunately for the young Guerrero, tonight wasn't his night, as the White Ninja put him away with a moonsault for the win.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Hakushi</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> D+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="RysxCKJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RysxCKJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cq3ouNg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cq3ouNg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Much like last week, the crowd are treated to the arrival of the Intercontinental Champion, Razor Ramon and The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. The pair head to the ring with all the usual glitz and glamour, pose for the crowd (or in Shawn's case, does a little strip tease for the crowd.) before grabbing a pair of mics and getting a few things off their chest. Michaels goes first, saying that last week he challenged Kevin Nash to a match at In Your House. "Now as of yet, the Big Man has yet to answer me, but if I know Kev.....and believe me, I do.....he's not one to back down from a fight, and a fight is just what he's going to get. Now I don't know what's going on between you and Bret Hart, but believe me when I say this.....should the Hitman, somehow make it past The Undertaker at In Your House....he'll have a first class ticket to Wrestlemania, where he will be facing me, the next WWF World Champion.....in the main event of the biggest show of the year. Nash, there is no way on gods green earth that you are going to stick your nose into that match.....I've worked too hard to get this shot, this is my destiny and I'm not going to let some 7 foot tall prima-donna do anything to jeopardise that. So at In Your House, it IS going to be me vs you.....and The Heartbreak Kid's gonna take you out of the pack, jack, with some sweet chin music. You're a big man, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall....and if you think for one second that I can't get this big boot of mine 7 feet up in the air, just watch what I do to Sid later tonight, because he's going to topple like a stack of dimes, courtesy of the Heartbreak Kid....why? Because I can."</p><p> </p><p> Razor gets on the stick next, telling Shawn to save just a little bit of Nash for the Bad Guy, because once he's taken care of "that gold faced freak, Razor Ramon, he coming for you big man, because nobody puts their hands on the Bad Guy."</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Y9FHBdx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y9FHBdx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="o3LlZPp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/o3LlZPp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Before Razor can say much more, he's interrupted by the music of his opponent come the PPV, but it's not Goldust that walks the aisle, it's his beautiful assistant Marlena, and instead of her usual cigar, she's carrying a golden box, complete with fancy bow. She gets into the ring and walks slowly over to Ramon, handing him the box and telling him that it's just a small gift from Goldust to him. While Razor is trying to suspiciously unwrap the box, Marlena has turned her attention to Michaels who tells her he's feeling left out.....where's his gift? Marlena smiles and runs her hands over the chest of Michaels, telling him "right here.....all you have to do is unwrap it." </p><p> </p><p> In the mean time, Ramon has opened the box and is staring confused at the contents, he hands it back to Marlena, asking her what it is. She reaches into the box, and pulls out a handful of sparkling gold powder "why, it's Gold Dust silly" and processes to throw the contents of her hand into the face of Michaels, who drops to the mat rubbing his eyes.....it was all a distraction, what a ruse, I'm sure nobody saw that coming.....what Razor didn't see coming however, was the figure of the number one contender for the Intercontinental Champion, as Goldust sneaks into the ring behind Ramon and lays a beating on him. Razor is hurt, but not as hurt as when Goldust takes him to the outside, and sends him hard into the steel ring steps, leaving him down and out. He tells Michaels that he's sorry, nothing personal, but "three's a crowd" and the Golden couple head to the back, leaving a furious Shawn Michaels and unconscious Razor Ramon in their wake. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="1I82LvM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1I82LvM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="y6o2RXS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y6o2RXS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> After the British Bulldogs controversial victory last week over his brother, Scott Steiner is looking for revenge tonight, against Davey Boy's partner Owen Hart. Steiner is a house of fire at the start of this one, throwing Hart around the ring like a rag doll in an impressive display of strength. Owen bumps like a king (of Harts) for the bigger man, that is until he is able to gain the upper hand through nefarious means and the distraction of the Bulldog. </p><p> </p><p> A perfectly good match however soon gets interrupted, as mid way through the bout we are treated to a split screen of the live action in the ring....and the action that is apparently happening in the back. Obviously still seething from the assault last week, Ahmed Johnson is bouncing Jeff Jarrett off the walls backstage, and it doesn't take long for the fleeing image of Jarrett to stumble his way into the aisle way and down to ringside, with Ahmed hot on his heels. The distraction means Steiner takes his eye of the match just long enough for Hart to catch him from behind with a roll up, a hand full of tights and the 1, 2, 3 for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Owen Hart</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="kbzSPDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kbzSPDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="1I82LvM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1I82LvM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8mSuiYR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mSuiYR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ip6t6qd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ip6t6qd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="y6o2RXS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/y6o2RXS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="AvJwLJZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AvJwLJZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The match might be over, but the action certainly isn't, because with the Steiners clearly furious at suffering back to back losses to the champions, and Ahmed is still keen to get his hands on Jarrett, it doesn't take long for a pier six brawl to break out....it also doesn't take long for the fan favourites to gain the advantage with the trio of Owen, Bulldog and Jarrett retreating to the back after an impressive display of strength by Scott Steiner sees Hart gorilla pressed overhead and tossed over the top rope, crashing into his tag team partner and Jarrett, leaving the Steiners and Johnson to celebrate in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="ruTrAjH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ruTrAjH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="3FSadDF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3FSadDF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS <img alt="fy3lNd5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fy3lNd5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CFe97xQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CFe97xQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Tag team action here, and a decent match, as the Godwinns face the Million Dollar Corporation pairing of the 123 Kid and Tatanka. Ted congratulates his team, clearly pleased to see them back to winning ways, before picking up a mic. He runs down both Savio Vega, telling him that Steve Austin will make him pay the price for turning down the Million Dollar Man....and Shawn Michaels, telling him that when Sid has finished with him tonight, he'll be in no fit state to make it to Wrestlemania, leaving the main event open for the highest bidder....."and that bidder will be me and my monster Sid, because everybody has a price, for the Million Dollar Man" before hitting his signature laugh and passing the microphone to Austin.</p><p> </p><p> Austin starts trash talking Vega, he tells him that the wait is almost over, the contracts have been signed and more importantly, Austin's fee has been agreed, blah, blah, blah.....it's a bit of a bland promo to be fair. Austin clearly has some microphone skills, but there's a running thought through everyone in the back that it's being hampered by this "Ringmaster" gimmick. Fortunately the promo comes to an end when a drink flys into the ring from the crowd, hitting The Kid and soaking him. The Corporation are irate, and DiBiase demands that the fan is evicted from the building, telling everyone that the peons in the crowd don't deserve to be graced with the greatness that's before them. The show goes to commercial but not until the cameras catch sight of a hooded figure being escorted from his seat.....but he's not going quietly and they have to physically remove him. Shawn and Sid have history, as the commentators reflect on Sids time as Michaels bodyguard and his subsequent turning on on him. This is a good match, with lots of back and forth action and Michaels does indeed hold his own against the bigger man....clearly much to DiBiase's displeasure, as he ends up calling to the back for reinforcements. Austin makes his way to ringside, obviously with bad intentions on his mind, but before he can interject himself into the match he is jumped by Savio Vega who beats on his In Your House opponent for a while before chasing him to the back. Meanwhile in the ring, Michaels is able to slither out of a Powerbomb attempt, before taking two steps back and almost taking Sids head off with some Sweet Chin Music, giving him the victory and momentum going into his match with Kevin Nash.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Shawn Michaels</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="cq3ouNg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cq3ouNg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="fy3lNd5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fy3lNd5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CFe97xQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CFe97xQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With Austin otherwise detained with Savio Vega, it falls to Tatanka and The 123 Kid to provide the mandatory post match attack, and the pair come running down to the ring as Shawn celebrates. The two pound on Michaels long enough for Sid to recover from the Sweet Chin Music, and before you know it a three on one beatdown ensues. That is until some familiar music starts to play....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="8mYpag9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mYpag9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .....and Kevin Nash makes his way to the ring. McMahon loses his mind, saying that Nash was not supposed to be here, and that things have gone from bad to worse for the Heartbreak Kid. Nash climbs into the ring, but instead of laying into Michaels, he goes to work on the Corporation, sending Tatanka and The Kid flying first, before DiBiase decides that retreat is the best option and the Corporation head to the back. The commentators are confused as to why Nash would save Michaels, especially when the two have to face off at In Your House....the confusion doesn't last for long though, as Nash only helps Michaels to his feet for long enough to throw him to the outside, where he starts to clear the announce desk. McMahon shouts at him not to do this, he's done enough but Nash isn't listening and positions Shawn for the Jackknife, clearly planning on sending him for a ride through the wood, that is until.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> .....The Hitman comes running out, steel chair in hand. Vince says finally some help for HBK, but The King says not to be so sure.....he's probably out here to help Nash take out his Wrestlemania opponent. Hart reaches the two men, and swings the steel chair hard, aiming for Big Sexy, but Nash sees it coming and pulls Michaels in front of him, meaning that HBK takes the chair shot full force in the head, crumpling to the floor unconscious. Nash backs away smirking with his hands raised in surrender, shouting "you're welcome pal" at Hart, as the Hitman checks on the fallen Shawn Michaels and the show fades to black.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>So Raw went off without a hitch for the first time since the Royal Rumble....well the show itself anyway. Before the show was a different matter.....and as usual it was a member of the Kliq giving me a headache. No not Razor....not even Shawn....no this time Mr Paul Michael Levesque, otherwise known as midcarder to the stars Hunter Hearst Helmsley decided to show his running buddies that he could be just as much as an ass as they could be. He spent most of the afternoon giving Scorpio s##t, telling him to make the most of the Light Heavyweight Championship while he's got it, because it's the only gold a bingo hall reject like him will ever hold. Scorpio took it like a class act, but Hunter took it one step too far and eventually the pair had to be separated. A few of the boys calmed Scorpio down and were talking him into walking away, that's when Levesque showed his true colours, sucker punching 2 Cold while his back was turned.</p><p> </p><p> The Kliq got Hunter out of there just as Faarooq and the rest of the Nation showed up, I swear to god if the cameras had been rolling you would have thought it was an angle the way it went down. Scorpio was rightly p###ed and who could blame him, he wanted me to suspend Levesque on the spot but I settled for a rather hefty fine.....Scorpio wasn't happy with the decision, calling it a soft cop out for a member of the Kliq. In reality, Kliq member or not, unless it was a regular occurrence, this wouldn't be something I'd suspend anyone for....there's a lot of testosterone in any wrestling locker room (both natural and chemical) and fights are bound to break out, the boys are all big enough to sort it out amongst themselves.....Despite the "soft" fine, Hunter wasn't happy, saying it was all blown up out of proportion and he shouldn't be paying anything. Surprisingly, Nash, Razor, Shawn and even Waltman were thrilled by my decision, I think they knew I would have been perfectly within my right to suspend their boy there and then had I so chosen and they shut Helmsley up pretty quickly. I swear to got this group of a##holes will give me an ulcer. </p><p> </p><p> WCW held their sixth annual Superbrawl event the night before Raw.....what a cluster that was. Their World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair defended the Title against Meng of all people, in the semi-main event of the evening.....well what was the main event I hear you ask? I'll tell you....the main event of WCW Superbrawl VI was a six man tag team bout, featuring Sting.....Hacksaw Jim Duggan and (rather inexplicably) The Disco Inferno, beating the star studded trio of Kevin Sullivan, Chris Benoit and Bobby Eaton. No Hogan wrestling, no Warrior wrestling, no Vader wrestling, no Luger wrestling....Hogan got into a verbal confrontation with Big Bubba and Warrior and Luger had a mini pull apart brawl. And that was their sole contribution to the show.....sounds like another episode of Nitro to me, not one of your main Pay Per View events.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of Nitro, thanks to an episode of Baywatch airing, which featured a number of WCW wrestlers, Nitro's ratings took a huge jump this week, from a 9.48 last week, to a 17.07, almost a full 3 points higher than Raw for the first time this year....and how did they thank all those new viewers? By giving them Harlem Heat defending the World Tag Team Titles against The Warlord and The Shark....those extra viewers really should have tuned into Raw instead....hopefully next week they will, because it's the go home show for In Your House. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 4 February 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> Duke "The Dumpster" Droese vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley</p><p> </p><p> The Texas Long Riders (Windham & Bradshaw) vs The Hardy Boys</p><p> </p><p> Chris Jericho vs Faarooq</p><p> </p><p> Ahmed Johnson & The Steiner Brothers vs Jeff Jarrett, Owen Hart & The British Bulldog</p><p> </p><p> The Undertaker vs Kevin Nash</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> OOC: Just a quick thanks to everyone who predicted and for the positive feedback, it's nice to know that people are enjoying my effort</p>

As usual though it's not long until the rest of the Nation makes them self know, and Scorpio causes the distraction which gives his leader the upper hand. Jericho shows the crowd why they call him Lionheart though, weathering the beating that's delivered from his larger opponent, seemingly kicking out of everything Faarooq can hit him with. The youngster even manages to turn the tides back in his favour, at least until (with the referee distracted by Kama) Scorpio is able to nail him in the back of the head with a spin kick, the momentum of which staggers Jericho into Faarooqs waiting arms. Faarooq hoists his opponent onto his shoulder and delivers a reverse Powerslam, that he's dubbed "The Dominator", driving Jericho face down into the mat and out for the 1, 2, 3.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Faarooq</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="FOurmAt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FOurmAt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHR4YiB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2sHqNDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2sHqNDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The Nation have been trying to lay a gang style beat down on Jericho for weeks now, Lionheart has always been too quick for them however and always found away to escape. No theatrics, no dancing, no pyro, it's all business this week. Michaels takes the mic and tells Kevin Nash that if he thinks for one second that a little chair shot is going to be enough to put him out, then he's as stupid as he is tall....and he's pretty god damn tall...."big man, in six days time, you've gotta get in this ring with your maker.....you've got to get in this ring with the man that put you where you are today.....you've got to get in this ring, with The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels....this little reign of terror that you've got going on? He tells Goldust that he hasn't forgotten about what happened last week and that he's told Razor that after he's had his fun kicking the bizarre ones painted tail all over the place, to save just a little bit for old HBK, because they're going to tangle sometime soon.....and last but not least, the final bump in the road, Bret Hart. He tells the Hitman that he doesn't know what little deal him and Nash have worked out, but it won't be enough....and no matter how many chairs you swing at me, it won't be enough....and don't try and play it off as an accident, because both you know Bret, and I know, you saw Nash shove me in front of that chair shot....you could have stopped yourself....but you saw a chance to take me out and you took it. Ahmed, Scott and Rick all had power and strength in abundance and used every ounce of both to their advantage, bouncing Jarrett and Hart all over the ring. The Bulldog held his own in the power department, but it was the cunning and underhand tactics of Jeff and Owen that tipped this one in their favour, as Jarrett pulled down the top rope off an Owen Irish whip, sending Ahmed crashing to the floor. </p><p> </p><p> From there the trio of Jarrett, Owen and The Bulldog used every dirty trick in their arsenal, often double and triple teaming Johnson, with Jarrett taking great pleasure in working the leg on the lead up to their match at In Your House. Eventually the Steiner's had seen enough and ended up rushing the ring as this one erupted into a wild brawl. The end came as Scott had Owen up on his shoulders. Rick had headed up to the top rope, looking for his bulldog, but THE Bulldog knocked his legs out from under him, crotching him on the turnbuckle. Scotty dropped Owen and went to check on his brother, which gave Jarrett and Davey Boy the chance to grab Hart and hightail it to the back, clearly deciding to live to fight another day.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> Ahmed Johnson and The Steiner Brothers (via intentional count-out)</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Dok Hendrix collars the WWF Champion Bret Hart just before he's due to go out and referee the main event. He asks him how he feels about being the referee. Bret says its not the first match he's officiated and maybe this will show everyone that there is no deal been made with Kevin Nash, because everyone is going to see him call this straight down the middle. Dok asks him about Shawn Michaels comments earlier, but Bret brushes it off, he says the chair shot last week was clearly an accident, but if Shawns got something to say then there's two things he can do...."that's say it to my face, or wait till Wrestlemania and do his talking in the ring. Now if you'll excuse me Dok, I've got a match to officiate."</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="8mYpag9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mYpag9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> So here it is, the main event that the crowd has clearly been waiting for all night, because they are red hot. Bret comes out to officiate and gets somewhat of a mixed reaction, followed by Nash next and finally The Undertaker, accompanied for the first time in weeks by a clearly injured Paul Bearer. The Deadman cuts his usual lengthy walk to the ring short though, as he comes to a halt halfway down the aisle. He looks at Nash for a moment, before looking at Bearer and telling his manager to go to the back out of harms way. Nash finds this hilarious, shouting at the Deadman that the backs not safe, he was in the back when he had his last little "accident."</p><p> </p><p> The match gets underway and the Hitman does indeed call it straight down the middle....in so far that he doesn't count out or disqualify either man when there was ample opportunity to do so. The King claims that Harts letting them beat the hell out of each other so that he has an easy ride in six days when he has to step inside a steel cage with the Deadman. McMahon says the King might be right, because both men could have been counted out ten times over and there have been numerous infractions of the rules. The two men continue to battle it out on the floor though and the Hitman continues to let it go, telling the time keeper that there needs to be a winner.</p><p> </p><p> As the match nears a close Shawn Michaels makes his way down to ringside....not to interfere with the match however, he has clearly just heard the Hitman's pre-match comments. He gets up on the apron and starts yelling at Hart that "you want me to say it to your face? Bring your face over here Bretty Boy." Hart does indeed take his face over there, and the two get into a war of words. In the meantime Nash and The Undertaker have made it back into the ring. Big Daddy Cool clearly sees an opportunity, and whips the Deadman hard into the back of the Hitman, the force of which sends Hart crashing into Michaels and Michaels in turn crashing to the floor. Taker staggers back into the middle of the ring and with Bret momentarily distracted Nash drops to his knees and hits a hellacious low blow to the Deadman, before picking him up in the Jackknife Powerbomb and slamming him hard to the mat. Hart turns around in time to see Nash make the cover....3 seconds later and we have a winner.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Kevin Nash</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="FxGHYUx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FxGHYUx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cq3ouNg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cq3ouNg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rnLgWN8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnLgWN8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> With the victory in the bag Nash slaps Bret hard on the shoulder with a loud "thanks buddy" before climbing out over the top rope, stopping to tell Michaels "I'll see you on Sunday" and heading to the back. Michaels recovers his senses and dives into the ring to continue his war of words with the Hitman, shoving him for knocking him to the floor. The two continue to argue, push and shove until Michaels finally shoves Bret hard enough that he collides with an Undertaker just getting back to his feet. Quick as a flash the Deadman wraps his hand around the throat of the WWF Champion and choke slams him straight to hell. As the show comes to a close we fade to black to the sounds of Vince McMahon yelling at us to buy the Pay Per View.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A*</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>Before I make my predictions, I just would like to say I really enjoy this style of commentary and am quite curious to know how you'd book '96 or what you'd do with Hall & Nash.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF Title - Steel Cage Match</strong></p><p>

<strong>Bret Hart</strong> vs The Undertaker</p><p> </p><p>

Bret wins, thanks to Kevin Nash shenanigans, and this could help lead to two matches at Mania.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Shawn Michaels</strong> vs Kevin Nash</p><p> </p><p>

Shawn needs to win this one, though it could be with Taker shenanigans or not.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF Intercontinental Title</strong></p><p>

<strong>Razor Ramon</strong> vs Goldust</p><p> </p><p>

The match we never got at the Rumble, even if Razor shows up pissed out of his mind, he still needs to win. I'd really suggest him losing at Mania if he's not coming back. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF Tag Team Titles</strong></p><p>

<strong>Owen Hart & The British Bulldog</strong> vs The Steiner Brothers</p><p> </p><p>

Call me a little biased, but I love Camp Cornette more than I do the Steiners... I'd prefer them to win.</p><p> </p><p>

Savio Vega vs <strong>The Ringmaster</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Ringmaster needs to just dominate on PPV.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF Light Heavyweight Title</strong></p><p>

<strong>Scorpio</strong> vs Chris Jericho</p><p> </p><p>

Scorpio wins to set up a Mania match with Jericho winning.</p><p> </p><p>

Phatu vs <strong>Hunter Hearst Helmsley</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Trips wins here but ultimately loses at Mania (hopefully not to Warrior though).</p><p> </p><p>

The Smoking Gunns vs <strong>Texas Long Riders</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>#1 Contenders Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship</strong></p><p>

Ahmed Johnson vs <strong>Jeff Jarrett</strong></p><p> </p><p>

As much as I dislike Jarrett, he's the right decision here.</p>

Along with The King and Jim Ross he tells us that tonight, the WWF Title will be defended inside of a 15 feet high steel cage. The King says he can't wait, because after The Undertaker choke slammed Bret Hart straight to hell on Raw last Monday, tonight the Hitman will finally have that smug look wiped off his face...."or should I say ground off his face, because the Undertaker is going to grind Bret Harts face into those unforgiving steel bars so bad, even his own mother won't recognise him....although she's that senile McMahon, she probably wouldn't even recognise him right now hahahaha."</p><p> </p><p> McMahon ignores the jibe, instead saying that on top of that, will we finally see the end of Kevin Nash's reign of terror, as he goes one on one with his now former friend, the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels....but before all that, we are going to decide a number one contender for the WWF Intercontinental Championship as Ahmed Johnson goes up against Jeff Jarrett.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>#1 Contenders match for the Intercontinental Championship</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="kbzSPDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kbzSPDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="Ip6t6qd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ip6t6qd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> One of these two men will walk out of In Your House with a guaranteed shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Ahmed Johnson is out first, to a good pop from the crowd. Despite the fact that he sounds like he has a mouthful of marbles when he speaks and struggles to string together a coherent sentence, the WWF fans have really taken a liking to Mr Johnson. Jarrett is next out (obviously) and he garners an altogether opposite reaction....I guess there aren't many Country Music fans in attendance tonight.</p><p> </p><p> As far as the match itself, this one was pretty good. These two know each other pretty well by now and despite Ahmed's obvious limitations, Jarrett is a good enough worker to carry him to a decent contest. Ahmed starts off strong with a lot of power moves, which Jeff sells like a champ. Johnson is a (clumsy) house of fire, but his enthusiasm gets the better of him on the outside, as Jarrett is able to reverse an Irish Whip attempt, sending Ahmed crashing knees first into the steel steps.</p><p> </p><p> Seeing the opening that he's been waiting for, Double J goes to work on the legs of the big man. The King has always been a big fan of Jarrett and points out the brilliance in this, because not only does it soften up those knees for when Jeff hooks in the figure four but it also negates Ahmed's big power move, the Pearl River Plunge. Jim Ross agrees, saying the big man is going to struggle to lift Jarrett on two bad wheels. </p><p> </p><p> It's a good plan as well, because Ahmed tries to rally back on a number of occasions, but each time his legs betray him, either buckling under the weight of a big power move, or simply by Jarrett clipping him to regain the advantage. Double J looks to have this one in the bag along with a shot at the Intercontinental Champion, whomever that may be after tonight, but Johnson isn't going down without a fight, even when Jarrett finally locks in the Figure Four leg lock right in the middle of the ring. Ahmed's legs might be weakened, but he still had plenty of power in those thick arms and he is able to drag himself to the ropes, breaking up the hold.</p><p> </p><p> Jarrett looks frustrated as to what it's going to take to keep the big man down....desperate times call for desperate measures and Double J goes to unfamiliar grounds, up on the top rope, looking for a dropkick to knock Ahmed silly. Jarrett leaps and flys, legs outstretched.....straight into the waiting arms of Johnson. Ahmed might not have the leg strength to pick Jeff up for the Pearl River Plunge, but with Jarrett sailing high, all the big man had to do was snatch him mid air and drive him into the mat with a sit down Powerbomb, giving him the victory AND a shot at the WWF Intercontinental Championship.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> and NEW #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship....Ahmed Johnson</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p></div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><div></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kbzSPDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kbzSPDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> As Ahmed is limping his way back up the aisle, Dok Hendrix stops him to congratulate him on his victory. The two Texans come out first, followed by the Gunns (who get a decent reaction). </p><p> </p><p> The former Tag Team Champions start strong in this one, there's no time for collar and elbow tie ups, as both Billy and Bart charge Windham and Bradshaw respectively, swinging rights and lefts that rock their opponents until both of the Long Riders are stunned and propped up against the ropes....duel dropkicks a few seconds later send The Texans flying over the top, crashing down onto the floor. </p><p> </p><p> The Gunns follow them and dish out some more punishment on the floor, but it's not long before Windham and Bradshaw prove themselves the better brawlers, making the most of the outside environment, as Billy winds up getting his head bounced off the steel ring post and Bart is rudely introduced to the safety barrier.</p><p> </p><p> Back inside the ring and we finally have a standard tag team bout, as the Long Riders cut the ring in half, isolating Bart near their corner and punishing him with frequent tags and high impact moves. Windham is clearly the captain of the team, shouting instructions to his younger protege, with Bradshaw clearly a keen learner. Eventually though it's the more inexperienced man that costs them the advantage. As he whips Bart into the neutral corner and charges hard, looking to splash the life out of his opponent, Gunn manages to move out of the way at the last second and Bradshaw hits noting but turnbuckle, knocking the wind out of himself and giving his opponent the opportunity to finally make the tag.</p><p> </p><p> Billy gets into the match and unloads on both Windham and Bradshaw, clearly eager to prove that this cowboy isn't ready to be put out to pasture just yet. He holds his own against the Texans long enough for Bart to gather a second wind and before long we have all four men going at it again. Windham finds himself tackled to the outside by Bart, where Gunn whips him into the steel steps. He turns around just in time to see Bradshaw running at the ropes, ready to come off and take Billy's head off with a big Lariat. Showing his experience Bart quickly trips Bradshaw, who loses his footing for a second, before regaining his composure and turning his attention to the Smoking Gunn on the floor. Seeing the opportunity Billy quickly rolls the Texan up from behind and pins his shoulders to the mat for the 1, 2, 3.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> The Smoking Gunns</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="KMJ08GR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KMJ08GR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="zEp3Eup.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zEp3Eup.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SVOW7yS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SVOW7yS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bgKzLED.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bgKzLED.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The Gunns pick up the victory, using their tag team experience over the youngster Bradshaw. Jim Ross calls it great teamwork, where as The King says it was blatant cheating and Billy and Bart should be ashamed of themselves. Whatever it was the Gunns don't get to celebrate for long, as Windham is back inside the squared circle....and he's bought a bull rope in with him that was stashed under the ring. </p><p> </p><p> He nails Bart in the back of the head with the metal cowbell, just as Bradshaw turns Billy inside out with a Lariat. They drag Bart to the side of the ring, hook the bull rope around his neck.....and toss the former tag team champion over the top rope, choking the life out of him. Bradshaw cranks back on the makeshift noose, while Windham stomps on Billy until security and officials finally break up the assault and the Texas Long Riders head to the back, shouting at the Gunns that "this ain't over boys."</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rHqoB6y.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHqoB6y.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="b965MKg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/b965MKg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> After that vicious display of aggression it's time to introduce a little bit of class into the Pay Per View....no not Dok Hendrix, I'm talking about his guest for this interview, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, decked out in an elegant looking long coat and walking cane, accompanied as always by the beautiful Sunny.</p><p> </p><p> Phatu's music can be heard playing in the background as a cut scene shows the big man making his way to the ring for his match against Helmsley. Dok asks Hunter about his chances for this upcoming bout, which causes Helmsley to glance at him with a look of distain. He tells Hendrix that if he goes back and checks the record books he'll see that Hunter Hearst Helmsley has an impeccable undefeated record here in the WWF and a dirty little street rat like Phatu won't be able to do anything to sully that. Sunny pipes in that after tonight is over and done with, her client will be moving on to bigger, better.....and far better smelling things than Phatu. Because this man right here is going to be your next undefeated, undisputed, WWF Intercontinental Champion.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C+</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="WQovKz9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WQovKz9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="rHqoB6y.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHqoB6y.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's the privileged man vs the common man here....and while Phatu might not be a polka dot wearing, son of a plumber, he does have the size advantage thanks to his ample waist size (they grow those island boys big.) Helmsley is obviously proud of his strength and tries to Irish whip Phatu, who roots himself to the spot and doesn't move. When that doesn't work Hunter gets some momentum from rebounding off the ropes and charges Phatu with a shoulder barge. Phatu however is the proverbial immovable object and Helmsley finds himself bouncing off the big man and winds up flat on his back on the mat. A few more power moves by Hunter are thwarted and Phatu looks like he's having fun in there....he has less fun however after he backs Helmsley into the corner and is on the receiving end of a thumb to the eye while the referee is trying to separate them.</p><p> </p><p> Finally finding the advantage he was looking for, Hunter manages to get the big man to the mat with a Ric Flair-esque chop block to the knee, which he follows up with a big knee drop to the skull of his opponent. Obviously realising that lying flat on his back negates Phatu's size and weight advantage, Helmsley does everything in his power to keep the man down. He focuses a lot of his attack on the head of Phatu, which the King points out is smart because these Samoans have notoriously thick skulls, so working the head will now will mean the pedigree has more impact later. Having sufficiently weakened the big man, Helmsley whips him hard into the corner, where he follows up with the classic mounted 10 punch combo. He kicks Phatu in his ample gut and hooks his arms for the Pedigree.....its too soon though....and too close to the ropes, as Phatu is able to backdrop Helmsley up and over the top to the floor.</p><p> </p><p> Hunter just makes it back in the ring at the count of 9 and charges at Phatu....but gets planted on his back with a big savate kick to the jaw. With the advantage back with Phatu, he goes to work on Helmsley and hits him with a big belly to belly and a seated senton splash for the two count. Helmsley looks to be in big trouble, but there's a reason that the Connecticut Blue Blood is undefeated here in the WWF...and part of that reason recently has been Sunny....because as Phatu goes up top to deliver a big splash that would have undoubtedly won him the match, Sunny surreptitiously slides Hunters walking cane into the ring, before hopping onto the apron, which distracts both the referee and Phatu alike. With the referees back turned and with his opponents focus on his manager, Helmsley grabs the cane from the corner of the ring and charges Phatu, driving the point of the cane into the throat of the big man. Phatu crashes to the mat, clutching at his windpipe. One Pedigree later we have a winner and more importantly, we still have an undefeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> Hunter Hearst Helmsley</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="FOurmAt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FOurmAt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PST0d7r.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PST0d7r.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rHR4YiB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rHR4YiB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2sHqNDo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2sHqNDo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's time for our first title match of the evening....or is it? Because after the Nation left Young Chris Jericho laying just 6 days ago, there is serious doubt that the Challenger will even be here tonight. Scorpio obviously don't think so, because the Champion comes out first for this one (don't you just hate that) flanked by the other members of the Nation. The five men stand tall in the centre of the ring, before raising their fist in the salute of the Nation. Faarooq picks up a microphone and tells the crowd that "if you were expecting to see a WWF Light Heavyweight Title match tonight, then you're all even stupider than you look. On Monday night, the Nation of Domination took Chris Jericho and we squashed him like a bug under our heel." He goes on to tell the referee to go ahead and ring the bell.....count to ten....and declare Scorpio the winner of this match by forfeit for failure to compete. </p><p> </p><p> The referee seems reluctant to do so but once the five men surround him and back him into the corner, he appears to change his mind and is just about to signal for the bell, when Chris Jericho's theme music starts to play and the challenger himself makes his way from the back. Walking slowly and with a slight limp, Jericho has his ribs heavily taped (after being on the receiving end of a huge splash from Nelson Knight) and is clearly favouring them, but he's here and he looks ready to compete regardless of his condition. At the sound of his music a look of disbelief washed over Scorpio, but that morphed into a huge grin when he saw how gingerly Jericho was walking.</p><p> </p><p> The Challenger climbs slowly into the ring and tells the referee to ring the bell. The official spends about a minute trying to talk Jericho out of competing in his current condition, but Jericho is adamant that he wants to compete....so the referee does the only other thing he can think of....he ejects the rest of the Nation members from ringside. Faarooq looks like he's going to have a problem with the officials decision, but Scorpio calms him down and tells him to go to the back, motioning to his opponent and telling the leader of the Nation not to worry "this won't take long, look at the chump" as they leave.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="VVW29pq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VVW29pq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="yiIP524.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yiIP524.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="eLDIoSz.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLDIoSz.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The Nation head to the back and the referee rings the bell. Jericho comes in for the collar and elbow tie up, Scorpio however fakes the lock up and kicks Jericho square into his unprotected ribs while his hands were raised. There's no babyface shine to start this one, as its all Scorpio from there on in. Instead of his usual more high flying offence, Scorpio focuses all his attention on the injured midriff of the Challenger. Hard whips into the turnbuckles, reverse back breakers, side suplexes and high back drops....its all high impact and its all seriously hurting Jericho. Scorpio tosses his opponent to the floor and lands a springboard splash, not giving Jericho a second to breath as he picks him up and drops him rib first onto the steel safety rail. </p><p> </p><p> Rolling Jericho back into the ring, he picks him up for a suplex, but instead of dropping him back he drops him forward, doubling him up over the top rope. Jericho slowly pulls himself to his feet with help from the ropes, but he gets caught with a superkick by Scorpio, which is followed up with a top rope leg drop and the cover. Showing why his nickname is Lionheart though, Jericho manages to get the shoulder up at 2. Scorpio looks annoyed but only for a second before the cocky look comes back on his face. He picks Jericho up, only to slam him back down to the mat hard near the corner. He shouts to the crowd that its all over and gives the signal for the 450 splash before heading up top. Standing confidently on the top turnbuckle, he raises his fist and shouts "by any means necessary" before sailing through the air in a 450 degree rotation.....and landing flat on his face on the empty mat....Jericho moved out of the way!!! </p><p> </p><p> Having avoided unquestionable defeat at the last minute, Lionheart tries to rally a comeback, but it's a comeback that mainly consists of right and left hands, after a backdrop attempt left the Challenger clutching at his rib cage. Rights and lefts are enough to rock the Champion though and leave him frustrated enough to make mistakes as Jericho is able to somehow counter a dropkick attempt into a powerbomb, but he's in too much pain to make the cover. He pulls himself to his feet using the turnbuckles just as Scorpio charges and leaps for a splash attempt, but Jericho moves and the Champion collides with the corner pads, giving Lionheart the opportunity to roll him up for the near fall. Back to their feet Scorpio whips the Challenger into the ropes but Jericho ducks a clothesline attempt and surprises Scorpio with a one handed bulldog. Seeing his opportunity and with his opponent down on the mat, Jericho comes off the ropes with a Lionsault, the same move that finished off Bobby Knight.....but it was a move too far as Scorpio gets his knees up, destroying Jericho's ribs even more. The Champion heads to the top and crushes his opponent with a picture perfect 450 Splash which is too much for Jericho's injured ribs to take, this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> and STILL WWF Light Heavyweight Champion, Scorpio</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> C-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rc3NoDZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rc3NoDZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="NJr4NXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cH2CWBn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cH2CWBn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tTABVbX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tTABVbX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="fy3lNd5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fy3lNd5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CFe97xQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CFe97xQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> After that impressive display of heart by Chris Jericho, we head to the back where Dok Hendrix is standing by with comments from the Million Dollar Corporation. Ted DiBiase speaks first, telling Savio Vega that the time for talking has come to an end, it's time for somebody to put their money where their mouth is....."and nobody has more money than the Million Dollar Man" before finishing off with his signature laugh. The Ringmaster is next, he tells Savio that while he shouldn't have turned down DiBiases offer to join the corporation in the first place, tonight The Ringmaster is going to show his benefactor exactly why Savio would have been a bad investment....because this stone cold killer, is going to put an end to you once and for all.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="psGDxMK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/psGDxMK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="cH2CWBn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cH2CWBn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The Ringmaster is out first for this one, accompanied by his manager but without any other members of the Corporation lurking around which makes a change. Savio is out next (obviously) and he's clearly in a hurry to finally get his hands on the Ringmaster, because he's shrugging his waist coat off half way down the aisle and charges the rest of the way, sliding quickly into the ring. The Ringmaster is just as eager to prove his worth to DiBiase and meets his opponent head on. This is an out and out brawl, which is something different than we have seen from the Ringmaster since his debut, (who has been more of a mat based technical wrestler) but he more than holds his own against the man from Puerto Rico. Before long the two men are rolling around on the mat, trading stuff looking blows, eventually tumbling to the outside where they continue to inflict punishment on each other. </p><p> </p><p> They make it back inside the ring before the referee counts them both out, but continue to rain blows on each other, until the official finally try's to separate them as they are locked in the corner. The Ringmaster shows why DiBiase thinks so highly of him though, because while the referee is between them, he plants a kick hard down low, which leaves Savio writhing on the mat. DiBiase barks advice from ringside, telling his client to "slow the match down....make him wrestle your kind of match." To which he replies, "I'm the damn Ringmaster.....every kind of match is my kind of match."</p><p> </p><p> Savio is still down on the mat and is on the receiving end of a number of brutal knee drops to the back of the neck, followed up with a big double elbow drop from the middle rope. The Ringmaster continues to punish Vega, focusing mainly on the neck, which is in theory to set up for the Million Dollar Dream. Savio attempts to fight back, and stings The Ringmaster with some stiff chops, backing him into the ropes, his assault is cut short though as his opponent manages to lift Vega up, dropping him throat first on the top rope with a Stun Gun, again focusing on the neck area. Pinfall attempt but Savio is able to get the shoulder up at 2. This is followed up with a Million Dollar Dream attempt, but Vega blocks it and nails the Ringmaster with a Jawbreaker.</p><p> </p><p> Savio finally fights back with the crowd rallying behind him and again chops his opponent back into the ropes, this time managing to Irish Whip him across the ring and connecting with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. He slams The Ringmaster hard to the mats and runs the ropes looking for a running knee drop, but DiBiase reaches in and trips him from the outside. Vega regains his footing and turns his back to his opponent to yell at DiBiase, but that was his final mistake of the evening as he left himself wide open for The Million Dollar Dream to be applied from behind. Savio tries his hardest to fight out of the hold, but it's not too long before he's unconscious and the official puts a stop to the match.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> The Ringmaster</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="NJr4NXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NJr4NXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cH2CWBn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cH2CWBn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The match is over but The Ringmaster isn't letting go of the hold, DiBiase wants him to punish Vega some more for daring to turn down The Million Dollar Man. Ted even gets some blows in for good measure, stomping and kicking Savio while he's helpless. A slew of officials storm the ring and finally the Million Dollar Duo stop the assault and head back up the aisle. They stop half way to celebrate, but it's a short lived celebration as out of nowhere a hooded fan at ringside unloads an entire cup of stone cold soda in the face of The Ringmaster. The Challengers are out first to a thunderous ovation, the fans are really getting behind this team, followed by the Champions.</p><p> </p><p> Owen and Rick start the match and it's a surprisingly technical opening. Owen thought he could out wrestle Steiner, who usually focuses on more power based moves, but Rick reminds us that he was quite the prolific amateur wrestler back in Michigan State University, leaving Hart on the mat with a number of takedowns. Owen charges Rick but Steiner is able to reverse it, gets behind his man and tosses Hart halfway across the ring with a release German Suplex. The Bulldog hops into the ring, trying to catch Rick unaware but he runs straight into Scott, who in turn tosses him halfway across the ring, this time with an over head belly to belly. The Champions bail to the floor to regroup while Rick runs around the ring barking, before dropping to his hands and knees as Scott stands over him in the signature Steiner pose.</p><p> </p><p> The match gets going again and the Bulldog is in there, keen to put is power to good use....unfortunately he's in the ring with Scott Steiner. Davey tries to knock Scott down with a shoulder barge but Steiner doesn't budge and the Bulldog winds up on his ass. A second and third attempt wield the same result and the fourth time round Scott catches Smith with a big powerslam for the near fall. Clearly at a loss for what to do to gain the advantage, the champs do what they do best.....cheat. Bulldog Irish whips Scott into the ropes, where he is met to a knee to the kidneys by Owen, followed by a big clothesline to the back of the neck by the Bulldog after Steiner turns and swings at Hart.</p><p> </p><p> Finally in control of the match the Champions grind down Scott with a mix of power and speed. Owen even hits an impressive belly to belly suplex of his own which he celebrates by climbing onto the second turnbuckle and providing the crowd with an obnoxious "woooooooo." In an impressive display of his own, the Bulldog shows off his strength, gorilla pressing Steiner, as well as holding him up for a long delayed suplex. The two men double team the challenger in their corner, with the illegal man often assaulting Scott while his counterpart has the referees attention. This goes on for some time until Scott is finally able to make the hot tag (and it was a hot tag, the crowd were eating the match up) to his brother Rick, who storms into the ring like a madman. Gone is his earlier technical display, he's back to pure smash mouth power.</p><p> </p><p> He clears the ring momentarily until his brother is able to get back in the fight and it's not long until the Steiner Brothers have this one firmly in hand. Owen gets a stiff Steinerline over the top rope and Scott lifts The Bulldog up on his shoulders. Rick climbs to the top rope and Davey Boy gets driven head first into the canvas with a big bulldog on the Bulldog. This one is over, Scott makes the cover and the Referee makes the count, one.....two....thr......no! Owen Hart is back in the ring and he has nailed Scott in the back of the head with one of the Tag Team Titles right in front of the official, who has little choice but to call for the bell and disqualify Hart and Smith.</p><p> </p><p> Rick checks with his brother as Owen drags Davey to the outside. The Champions grab their gold belts and beat a hasty retreat up the aisle and to the back.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner(s):</strong> The Steiner Brothers (via Disqualification).......however, a title can not change hands as the result of either count out or disqualification, therefore STILL WWF Tag Team Champions....Owen Hart and The British Bulldog</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="KnKSFDq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KnKSFDq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="RysxCKJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RysxCKJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Following that we go to the back, where Mr. Perfect is standing by with comments from Razor Ramon. Perfect tells Razor that he knows a thing or two about holding Intercontinental Gold, seeing how he was a Perfect Intercontinental Champion, then a Perfect Executive Consultant....he's been a Perfect Colour Commentator and soon he'll be the Perfect manager, once he finds a client who is close enough to his standard. In the mean time he's going to be the Perfect Interviewer around here. Razor says nobody is Perfect Chico, not even the Bad Guy....but what will be perfect, will be when Razor Ramon walks that aisle....and finally slaps the paint off that overgrown freak Goldust.</p><p> </p><p> Ramon goes to walk off as his music starts to play in the arena, but he's stopped by Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett says Ahmed Johnson's win tonight was a fluke and if Ramon has any guts, he'll put the IC strap on the line tomorrow night, against him, Jeff Jarrett.....that's J-E-Double F J-A-Double R-E-Double T. Razor tells Jarrett that he's got a match right now, but Ahmed won that fight fair and square, and it'll be an honour to face him for this belt.....as for you? No shot for you Chico.....you're nothing but a loser man....now if you don't mind, the Bad Guy's gotta go do what he does best and that's beat people up.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="j0BxFi5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/j0BxFi5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="RysxCKJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RysxCKJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="Y9FHBdx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Y9FHBdx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It's finally time for Goldust to get the title match that was supposed to happen at the Royal Rumble. It's now four weeks later and if Razor wasn't ready to rip Goldust apart then, he certainly is now, especially after the sneak attack a few weeks back. Goldust comes out first, accompanied as always by the beautiful Marlena who positions herself at ringside after an usher brings down her directors chair. The Intercontinental Champion is out next, clad out in the cool yellow trunks that he never wore often enough for my liking. He hits his signature pose in the middle of the ring and a shower of pyro rains down on him.</p><p> </p><p> The official rings the bell to get this one underway, Goldust slowly rubs is hands up and down his own body before blowing a kiss at Ramon......that didn't go down well.....Razor snapped, (sick and tired of the games and innuendos that have been a staple of Goldust's strategy so far) and charges at the Challenger, tackling him to the mat and beating the holy hell out of him. Right hand after right, left fist after left, Ramon beats on Goldust until the official finally drags him off, his knuckles covered in gold paint. He picks his opponent up of the mat and tosses him to the outside to punish him some more. He bounces Goldust's head off the steel ring post, the steel steps and finally the announce table. Goldust looks to be in serious trouble, but is able to move (fall?) out of the way of a charging Ramon, who crashes into the steel ring post himself.</p><p> </p><p> Goldust rolls his man back into the ring and starts his offence....it's a strange mix of brawling and flirting, but it's working for him, he's one of the hottest heels in the business right now, the crowds despise him and they let him know it tonight as they cheer on the Bad Guy. Ramon does rally back on a number of occasions, (usually fired up because Goldust has done something disturbing like caressed his chest), but it never lasts long, Ramon's temper causes him to make mistakes that the challenger capitalises on. The King says that he doesn't know what Goldust's deal is, but if this is all a ploy to get Ramon's head out of the game, then it's working wonders at the minute.</p><p> </p><p> Unfortunately for Goldust, it doesn't work forever and Razor is able to get back on the offence, after reversing a bulldog attempt by simply tossing Goldie across the ring. A cross body attempt is reversed into a "sack of s##t" as Ramon liked to call it for the near fall. Razor even hits his opponent with a "choke slam type manoeuvre" expertly called as much by Vince McMahon. The Bad Guy slaps his hands together in a "he's done" motion, before signalling for the Razors Edge. He hooks Goldust in position, but before he can hit it Marlena is up on the apron, almost as if she was trying to get the referees attention.......it worked too....because with the official distracted by Goldust's Director and VP at Shattered Dreams Productions.....he totally missed Jeff Jarrett running down the aisle, guitar in hand. He slides into the ring behind Razor and blasts him over the back of the head with the acoustic equaliser.....I'm not sure how the referee didn't hear that, but he didn't.....apparently he didn't see all the debris over the mat either. What he did see, was Goldust nailing Razor with a reverse DDT and making the cover.....three seconds later and we have a winner, as Jarrett retreats up the aisle yelling into a camera "who's a loser now boy?"</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> ....and NEW WWF Intercontinental Champion....Goldust </p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p> </p><p> <img alt="cq3ouNg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cq3ouNg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> VS. <img alt="8mYpag9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mYpag9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Before the next bout we are treated to some pre recorded comments from both competitors taped earlier in the day. Shawn says that tonight he's going to do exactly what he said he would do and that's put an end to Nash's one man crusade....then it's in to Wrestlemania, to fulfil that boyhood dream. Nash says that there won't be any dream fulfilled, because after tonight, Shawn won't make it to Wrestlemania.....hell, he might not make it to the end of the show.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the arena and Kevin Nash's music starts to play, as the man who's been meddling in everybody's business recently makes his way to the ring. He stands in the centre of the mat with his fist raised as pyro explodes around him. The opening bars of HBK's music blasts to life and Nash positions into a fighting pose, yelling at Michaels to "get your pansy ass down to this ring so I can kick it." The crowd gets out of their seat in anticipation for this one, but Michaels makes them wait.....and wait......and wait.....wait, what's going on? </p><p> </p><p> The music stops playing and the fans in the arena aren't happy. The King on commentary says that Michaels is clearly shaking in his boots behind a locked door, too scared to face Kevin Nash. Vince McMahon says that Shawn Michaels has never been scared of a fight. Nash is pacing the ring like a caged animal, when the music starts to play again.....again no Shawn Michaels to be seen. The big screen on the entrance ramp suddenly shows live footage from the back, where we see the clearly unconscious and prone body of The Heartbreak Kid, laid out in a hallway, the remnants of a shattered table scattered all around him. In the ring Kevin Nash has a look of mock surprise on his face, before bursting out laughing and demanding a microphone from ringside. As the big screen shows medical staff and company officials tending to Shawn Michaels, Nash tells the crowd that it "looks like the Heartbreak Kid done broke his neck." Big Sexy says he warned Shawn what would happen, he told him that he wouldn't be going to Wrestlemania.....the only place he's going, is to the hospital.</p><p> </p><p> And it looks like he's right, because they have finally loaded Michaels carefully on a stretch and are wheeling him to a waiting ambulance as we speak. Nash tells the crowd that his work here is done, looks like they won't be seeing Big Daddy Cool in action tonight, so he's going to go to the back and watch the WWF Title match. He drops the mic and goes to exit the ring but is interrupted by some lesser known music....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="bY22RaO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bY22RaO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......its Aldo Montoya....he stops at the entrance with a microphone. He tells Nash that someone needs to teach him a lesson, that you can't just go around putting people through tables.....so tonight, he's gonna kick his ass. Nash tells Aldo that he must be stupid....."you look like crap (he does look rather unkempt, he hasn't shaved in a while by the look of the hair on the only visible parts of his face) and last time I saw you I nearly ended your career.....you wanna fight? The viewers at home are treated to a video recap of the events leading up to this match, while the crowd in attendance get to watch the thrilling action of lots of workers, rushing to assemble the big blue steel cage. With all that out of the way it's time for the entrances. The Deadman is out first, with Paul Bearer by his side. Bearer is still clearly banged up, but he's well enough to at least carry the Urn with him today. The Champion is next out, to a somewhat mixed response. As the two competitors ready themselves for battle, Vince McMahon informs us that Shawn Michaels has arrived at a local medical facility and we will have more information on his condition tomorrow night on Raw.....The King says that they had better make that a double room, because Aldo Montoya will be needing a bed too.</p><p> </p><p> The bell rings and this one is under way. The rules are pretty simple here, because there's only one.....escape the cage and you're the WWF Champion. Bret instantly goes for the legs of the Challenger, trying to take the Deadman to the mat, but the Undertaker is having none of it, hammering the Hitman with stiff clubbing blows to his lower back. It's your basic big man vs little man strategy, as Bret tries to ground his opponent, while the Undertaker relays on his power to punish the Champion. After levelling the Hitman with a big boot, Bret is first to taste the steel, as The Undertaker picks him up from the mat and slams his head hard against the solid bars. Hart shakes off the cobwebs and manages to rock the Challenger with some stiff looking fists, before trying with an Irish whip attempt. The Undertaker however reverses that, and Bret hits the turnbuckles hard, sternum first as only Bret Hart can.</p><p> </p><p> Running out of options Bret finally manages to gain the upper hand with a stiff kick to Takers leg, followed by a knee breaker a-la Ric Flair. With the Deadman finally down Hart works on the knee with kicks and stomps, before wrapping the leg around the bottom rope for leverage and wrenching back on it. Bret climbs the cage in the first escape attempt of the night, but Taker still has plenty in the tank and is able to yank the Hitman down from the wall and to the mat. Bret goes back to the knee and The King says that's how stupid The Hitman is, because there's no submissions in this. Jim Ross remarks that there might be no submission, but it the Undertaker can't walk, he certainly can't climb.</p><p> </p><p> There's no real sustained periods of dominance for either men in this one though, because for all Brets focus on the knee of the Deadman, The Undertaker still had plenty of offence in this back and forth battle for the belt. Bret makes it halfway up the cage, The Undertaker pulls him down, The Deadman climbs the cage and The Hitman pulls him down. Hart charges his opponent but The Undertaker is able to use his own momentum against him and The Hitman slams face first into the unforgiving steel, busting himself wide open. Taker picks up the Champion and drives him hard into the mat with a chokeslam, before climbing the cage. With his face the proverbial crimson mask however The Hitman is able to drag himself up after him, delivering a brutal superplex from the top of the cage.</p><p> </p><p> Both men are down for far more than the usual 10 count, but that doesn't matter in this one. Finally the pair are able to pull themselves to their feet and start slugging it out. Blood is flying from the head of the Hitman with each blow and the Champion is fading, so much so that The Undertaker is able to hit another Choke Slam, before running a thumb across his throat signalling for the end. He picks up Hart, positions him, and drives his bleeding head into the mat with a hellacious Tombstone. If pin falls counted in this one we would have a new champion right there. They don't count though, so the Undertaker makes the slow accent up the side of the steel cage and just about makes it to the top, when a familiar face makes his way down the aisle.....</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="8mYpag9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8mYpag9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> ......Kevin Nash.....shouting insults to The Deadman all the way. The two engage in a war of words which finishes with Nash shouting, "you might think you're safe in that cage, but your fat manager is out here with me." Nash grabs Paul Bearer by the throat and the Undertaker starts to climb over the top, but Big Sexy puts a stop to that, telling him "one more step and I'll snap his chubby little neck like a twig."</p><p> </p><p> The camera pans out to a wide shot and we see Bret Hart on the opposite side of the ring, crawling through the open cage door. The Undertaker notices it about the same time as we do, but it's too late, the Hitman drags himself through the opening and collapses on the floor outside.....this one is over.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Winner:</strong> .....and STILL WWF World Champion.....Bret Hart.</p><p> <strong>Rating:</strong> A</p><p> </p><p> Bret is handed his title and his music starts to play, he hasn't even noticed the 7 foot frame of Kevin Nash, who has released Paul Bearer from his grip, but stands, middle finger raise, staring at a furious looking Undertaker who is still perched atop the cage as the Pay Per View comes to an end.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Final Rating:</strong> B</p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p>

<p>All in all I was really pleased with the way In Your House went down, there was a lot of positive feedback from the dirtsheets, but more importantly the boys were pleased with the show too. There were a few pleasant surprises for me match wise.....Hunter and Phatu had a great match, their chemistry in the ring was off the chart, everything they did clicked. This was only ever supposed to be a throwaway storyline to introduce Sunny as Helmsleys new manager, but if they could rekindle that same chemistry at Wrestlemania then this one may have to continue. The second surprise was the fact that much like Hunter and Phatu, The Ringmaster and Savio just clicked together in their match. I really need to move Austin away from the Ringmaster gimmick though, it's awful....his "stone cold killer" line at the Pay Per View made me sit up and take notice....and as good as his and Savio's match was, there won't be a rematch at Mania, I've got something bigger lined up for Steve. </p><p> </p><p> The biggest surprise for me though was the amount of chemistry between Kevin Nash and Aldo Montoya, even in a throwaway match these two just gelled in the ring.....although the fact that Nash is currently white hot can't have hurt matters either.</p><p> </p><p> I've also offered a contract to one of the competition, we are a little bit light on babyfaces in the midcard....credible babyfaces anyway, so I'm hoping some fresh faces will shake things up.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of contracts, both Nash and Razors contracts are up as of now.....I've offered them both new deals, both far more money than I would have liked.....especially Nash who wanted both creative control and hiring veto clauses added.....there was no way I was giving him either of those, the pr##k has enough sway around here as it is. Unfortunately not including the clauses meant I had to offer a higher amount. WCW haven't approached either man yet as far as I know, but part of me wonders if keeping them around is worth the hassle they bring.....we'll see.....either way we are 4 weeks away from Wrestlemania.....4 weeks away from MY Wrestlemania, with tonight's Raw being the first step.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43289" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong>Preview for Monday Night Raw, Week 1, March 1996</strong></p><p> </p><p> Phatu vs Isaac Yankem</p><p> </p><p> Savio Vega vs Faarooq</p><p> </p><p> The Godwinns vs The Harris Boys</p><p> </p><p> Ahmed Johnson vs The Ringmaster</p><p> </p><p> Kevin Nash vs Psycho Sid</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> On a side note, thanks to everyone that made their predictions, I know the Shawn/Nash match was a spot of false advertising but hey.....there is always a reason lol</p>

What a great PPV and a few of the results surprised me in the end. I may be wrong but it seems like you're building towards a fatal 4 way in the main event of Wrestlemania which would be great but if it's Taker vs Kevin Nash and Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels then that could be just as good.

Ok ok so the ppv knocked me off my high horse of predictions. Great swerves sir. Twisting indeed

Indeed. Of course I marked out for the Aldo. TOLD YOU HE'S MONEY :) every thing he does is Just incredible....even if it is just selling.

Phatu vs Isaac Yankem

With help from H3/Sunny. Neither of these guys impress me...yet. Jacobs will, Phatu Will just get like his name sounds...Fat too.

Savio Vega vs Faarooq

Another eh. Seems like your working The NOD so we'll always bet on black.

The Godwinns vs The Harris Boys

Sure those guys. I hope no one breaks they're neck.

Ahmed Johnson vs The Ringmaster

Week 1, March 1996

Fleet Center

ATT: 18,000

TV: 14.48

The show opens with highlight stills of the previous nights In Your House event before we are introduced to the nights show by our three man announce team of Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross. They talk about last nights event, about Kevin Nash's continued path of destruction and promise us that Shawn Michaels will join us via live video feed from his San Antonio home tonight.

8mYpag9.jpg

Speaking of Kevin Nash, he's been all over these shows as of late and tonight is no exception as the big mans music starts to play, and Big Sexy makes his way to the ring. He stops by the announcers and says something about them not getting too attached to that table they're sat at, while Vince calls him deplorable. Nash gets into the ring with a microphone in hand and a cocky smirk on his face.

He waits for the crowd to die down a bit before he starts talking, telling everyone that he is starting to feel a case of déjà vu around here.....every week is the same....he comes out here, demands a title shot, gets turned down.....someone gets hurt....well last night was no different, apart from the fact that it was TWO people that got hurt....and one of them, was your supposed number one contender and one half of the Wrestlemania main event.

"So let's make this simple.....Gorilla Monsoon, I know you're in the back there Monkey Man, last night I put Shawn Michaels straight through a table and onto the concrete floor....he landed hard right on his occipital protuberance and I don't think he's going to be making it to Wrestlemania. They way I see it, you're a man down for the main event, well guess what, I got your man right here....Big Sexy, Kevin Nash....now come out here, make the match, bring your paperwork and the contracts and let's make this official."

YMbnf57.jpg

That does indeed bring out Gorilla Monsoon, but he looks far from happy. He tells Nash that his actions as of late have been despicable and as far as he is concerned, despicable actions deserve despicable consequences. As the President of the World Wrestling Federation, he can't be seen to be rewarding martial law, and if there's one thing we know for sure, it's that Shawn Michaels is one of the most resilient superstars in WWF history. "Until I receive written confirmation from The Heartbreak Kid's physician, that he is physically unable to compete at Wrestlemania, well as far as I'm concerned that match still stands and it will be Shawn Michaels, not you Mr Nash, that goes one on one with Bret Hart for the WWF Championship....."

Nash if furious to hear this....and to be honest, so are a few of the fans in attendance who clearly like this new Big Daddy Cool. He looks to be about to blow a gasket before Monsoon interrupts him.

"......BUT......and there is a but, it would be remiss of me not to have a contingency plan in place, in the event that The Heartbreak Kid is unable to take part in the match.....therefore, tonight, you Kevin Nash will not be handed a shot at the WWF Title, you will have to earn it. Because IF Shawn Michaels is unable to compete in the main event of Wrestlemania......and IF you can beat a man equal in both size and strength tonight......IF you can defeat Psycho Sid, then maybe, just maybe, you'll get that shot at Bret Hart that you so clearly want.....but if you lose? Then you can forget about it pal, you can kiss that title match goodbye."

Nash smiles, before telling Monsoon, that's good enough for me Monkey Boy....."Hey Sid.....you're a dead man."

After putting on a valiant display last night against the still undefeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Phatu is keen to get back to winning ways. He's got his work cut out for him here though, as he's facing off against the 7 foot tall sadistic dentist Isaac Yankem. Although for a 7 foot sadist Yankem does seem to find himself on his back counting the lights an awful lot and this match is no difference. Yankem might have said goodbye to a few of his brown teeth after Phatu picks up the win with a big thrust kick, followed by a flying headbutt from the top.

Winner: Phatu

Dok Hendrix is out in the aisle as Phatu makes his way to the back, he asks him about his loss to Hunter Hearst Helmsley at In Your House. Phatu says when someone comes at him and beats him man to man, Phatu will be the first one to shake their hand and congratulate them. "But Hunter Hearst Helmsley, you ain't no man brother.....you knew you couldn't beat this big man in a fair fight, so you got your woman to interfere, and then nearly collapsed my windpipe with a cane.....you think this is over? Brother we're not finished, not by a long shot."

Out next, is the worlds greatest singer, the worlds greatest entertainer and the worlds greatest wrestler.....will he cut the worlds greatest promo? Well no....but it was a decent promo non the less, as J-E-Double F, J-A-Double R-E-Double T, Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring.

Jeff is thought of by many as one of the ones to watch in the WWF, he could even be one of the next big things with a slight tweaking of his gimmick, (I'm not sure the country singer character has legs.) and tonight he's out to address the man that he cost the WWF Intercontinental Championship, Razor Ramon. He tells the Bad Guy that he's probably feeling pretty sorry for himself about now.....being on the receiving end of one of old Double J's greatest hits....but he's only got himself to blame, all he had to do was give Jarrett a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, but he was he was too chicken. Then again, if he HAD given Double J a shot at the title, he would have lost the gold regardless, so really Razor has nothing to complain about.

RysxCKJ.jpg

Apparently the former Intercontinental Champion doesn't feel the same way, because he comes tearing down the aisle with a look of fury on his face. He slides into the ring and pounces straight onto Jarrett, peppering him with right hands. Jeff tries to wriggle out of his grasp but winds up being on the receiving end of a number of stomps that send him scurrying to the outside and running to the back. Still furious, Ramon picks up Jarretts discarded microphone, yelling at Double J to "get back down here.....hey Chico, hey yo....you can run....but you can't hide man.....one way or another, Razor Ramon, he gonna put an end to you. You think I beat you bad the last time we were in this ring together? That gonna be nothing compared to what you got coming."

We come back from commercial to find the Nation of Domination already stood in the centre of the ring. Scorpio is wearing his Light Heavyweight Championship proudly around his waist. They give the Nation salute for a moment, before Faarooq takes a mic. He says that last night, this man right here (slapping Scorpio on the shoulder) showed the world the real meaning of the word Champion....he showed the world what the Nation of Domination is all about....he broke that little flea Chris Jericho in half....he beat him that badly, that he isn't even able to compete tonight, he's sat at home, sipping on an apple juice, nursing his bad ribs, watching Monday Night Raw on the TV, just like you losers in the crowd spend every Monday night doing. If he knows what's good for him, that's where he'll stay....because a BOY like him, doesn't belong in the same ring as any of the MEN in the Nation. Scorpio pipes in that they had better start looking for new challengers for him, because he's washing his hands of that loser Chris Jericho. Faarooq says it's time for Nation business....."Savio Vega, you and me, we going to tangle in a minute.....but you can save yourself a world of hurt.....there's a spot for you in the Nation brother, all you gotta do, it walk down that aisle, lay your ass down on this mat....and when the referee counts three.....you'll be part of the family.

Savio does indeed walk down that aisle, but he doesn't lay his ass down, no matter how much Faarooq tries to convince him....the leader of the Nation loses his temper and slaps Vega square in the face. This does not go down well with the fiery Puerto Rican, who slaps Faarooq back....twice. The official evicts the other nation members from the ring, (where they take up residence at ringside) and calls for the bell.

Savio had one of the matches of the night with The Ringmaster at In Your House, unfortunately for him coming up on the losing end....but he made a lot of people sit up and take notice. Faarooq on the other hand, didn't even have a match on the PPV, he's been focused on strengthening the Nation, now it's time for him to start showing what he can do in the ring.....apparently what he's really good at, is cheating.....because the numbers game catch up with Savio and he's not able to concentrate on his opponent with 4 other men on the outside. After constant interference Faarooq is finally able to hit him with a Dominator for the three count.

The match is over and the entire Nation stands over a fallen Savio Vega. Faarooq yells at Nelson Knight to "pick his sorry ass up" which Knight obediently obliges. It looks like Savio is about to enter a world of hurt, but instead of beating him down Faarooq grips a hold of his face telling him that he has "one week to make the right decision....next time, we won't be so forgiving"....before letting go of Vega, who collapses to the mat in exhaustion.

After that display of gang warfare, it's time for tag team action. Before the bout gets underway we are treated to the presence of the WWF Tag Team Champions Owen Hart and The British Bulldog, who join the announce table for commentary. Vince asks them what they are doing out there and Owen tells him that, now they have defeated the Steiner Brothers, they are out scouting their next challengers....that could be one of these two teams....Vince said that they didn't defeat the Steiner Brothers but Owen cuts him off saying that they are still the Champs, "that makes us the winners.....and the Steiner Morons the losers McMahon."

In the meantime there is a match going on in the ring, it's not a spectacular match but it's entertaining enough as Paul Ellering watches his men pick up a much needed victory in the tag team division.

Owen and The Bulldog get to their feet at the announce table and applaud the victors, telling Vince that "there are some real challengers McMahon" when they are rudely interrupted by the sounds of the Steiner Brothers music and the Michigan Natives making their way to ringside. They pick up mics on route and head around to the Champions. Scott yells at them loudly that if they had any guts, they'd be putting those titles on the line one more time, against the greatest team around here, The Steiner Brothers.....Rick....Rick just barks.

Owen tells them that they had their shot last night and they couldn't get the job done, they're moving on to more deserving opponents....."like the two men behind you."

m0VMdA6.jpgi4fICHd.jpg

Ron and Don are obviously not pleased with The Steiners stealing their spotlight (after all let's face it, they haven't won too many matches) and under the instruction of their manager, start pounding on Rick and Scott from the back, culminating in each or the brothers Steiner getting driven into the steel steps as the Champions walk away laughing.

After that assault we return from commercial and Vince McMahon informs us that we have Shawn Michaels, live via satellite feed from his San Antonio home. We go to a split screen with Vince on one side and a neck brace wearing HBK on the other.....he's not alone though, he has an elderly gentleman by his side. Vince thanks Shawn for taking the time out of his recovery to speak to us but first things first, the question everybody wants to know...."how are you feeling.....how bad is the neck.....and possibly more importantly than anything, will you be cleared to fight at Wrestlemania....will you be able to fulfil that boyhood dream?"

Shawn looks downcast and takes a while to answer. He says right now, he feels like he's been run over by a steamroller. Right now, if he had to step in the ring with Bret Hart for the World Wrestling Federation Championship.....that boyhood dream would be nothing more than a pipe dream....."but that's now Vin-Man....and Wrestlemania is still 3 weeks away.....so you can bet your ass I'll be walking out of the biggest event of the year, boyhood dream achieved, your NEW, WWF World Heavyweight Champion. Kevin Nash, you think this is going to put me down....keep me out? Friend, you obviously don't know me as well as I thought you did.....you will have to kill me to stop me competing at Wrestlemania.....and jack, you just ain't good enough."

Lawler pipes in from the sidelines, asking Shawn who the "geriatric in the adult diapers is." Michaels replies that The King is very funny, but he wants to watch that his mouth doesn't get him into trouble....he introduces the man as Jose Lothario...."this man trained me when I first broke into the business....this man, put Shawn Michaels on the path to greatness....and this man is going to make sure I fight back to full health, Nash, big man.....you might have put me down....but this man, is going to pick me back up, put me back together, and watch from the sidelines, as the dreams of a 12 year old boy, become a reality for me and all my great fans."

Vince tells Shawn that he has a huge target on his back.....because should Kevin Nash defeat Psycho Sid tonight....and should Shawn be unable to compete at Wrestlemania, then Big Daddy Cool will be taking his place in the title match.....which means that it's in Kevin Nash's best interest, that Shawn Michaels....is in no condition to perform at the grandest stage of them all. Jose Lothario interrupts, telling McMahon that the next time Kevin Nash comes within arms....or should that be legs length of his student, Shawn Michaels will kick his head off his shoulders.

Michaels winds up the interview by addressing Bret Hart....he tells the Hitman that Nash has saved his title for the last time......"because I GUARANTEE.....that nothing, and no one....is coming between me and the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.....now if you don't mind Vince, we've got work to do."

It's time to get back to the action here, as the new number one contender to the Intercontinental Championship, Ahmed Johnson, goes up against arguably a future number one contender to the Intercontinental Championship in The Ringmaster. Both men were victorious in their respective matches last night and both are keen to continue their winning ways. They have a good little match, with The Ringmaster bumping all over (and outside) the ring for Johnson. Ahmed even hits one of his signature (and scary) dives over the top rope which sends his opponent crashing into his own manager.

All this high octane action obviously intrigues the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Goldust, who makes his way down the aisle with his valet Marlena. Ahmed warns Goldust not to get involved but The Bizarre One holds his hands up in surrender, telling Ahmed that he just wanted to "see this big....mmmm....Johnson that everyone is talking about." before squatting down next to Marlena who has seated herself in her ever present directors chair. Marlena reaches over and massages Goldust's head as the action continues in the ring.

DiBiase, still not happy about being sent sprawling to the floor earlier by his own client, starts barking orders at The Ringmaster, who barks back that "I got this", before getting punched square in the face. Rolling to the outside to gather his composure, The Ringmaster is berated by the Million Dollar Man, who tells him "I thought you 'got this'...maybe next time if you listened to me you would have 'got it'" The Ringmaster replays that maybe next time if you shut the hell up and let me do what I do best, I would have got it."

Ahmed comes up behind DiBiase, but the Ringmaster shoves his manager out of harms way and slams Johnson hard into the crowd barrier. Goldust works his way around to the fallen Ahmed and begins slowly massaging the big man back to life. This infuriates Johnson, who shoves Goldust hard back on onto his ass.....Goldust however seems to enjoy the attention and starts rubbing himself all over. Back in the ring the action continues, with both competitors getting an equal amount of offence that is finally interrupted by the same hooded "fan" that has plagued The Ringmaster for the last few weeks. He shoves DiBiase hard in the back from the front row of the crowd, which causes the Ringmaster to roll to the outside, grabbing the "fan" by the front of his jacket and finally removing the hood. Unfortunately it doesn't reveal much because the "fan" is wearing one of those hideous Bret Hart rubber masks. The Ringmaster is taken aback for a moment and that moment costs him, because he gets flipped off by the masked man, before getting slapped square in the face.

The fan scarpers and for a minute it looks like the Ringmaster is going to give chase, but DiBiase alerts him that the refs count is up to 9 and he runs, sliding urgently into the ring.....straight into the waiting arms of Ahmed, who hooks his opponent and drives him to the mat with the Pearl River Plunge for the win.

Winner: Ahmed Johnson

Rating: B-

Johnson celebrates his win, before inviting the Intercontinental Champion to join him in fisty cuffs in the ring, but Goldust refuses, blowing him a kiss as he backs up the aisle, telling him that "the anticipation always accentuates the pleasure.....patience, you beautiful man."

A promo airs for Wrestlemania before we come back live to the arena. There's a moment of silence until suddenly some very familiar music starts to play

yNnL1sJ.jpg

The crowd erupts as the lone figure of Rowdy Roddy Piper walks out from the back. He stands at the top of the aisle soaking in the ovation with a huge grin on his face, before making his way down to the ring. He picks up a microphone on route and obviously has something to say. He takes to the middle of the squared circle and waits for the crowd to die down, as Vince remarks what a surprise it is to see Piper, who hasn't been seen here in the WWF for quite some time....but then don't forget, "anything can happen in the WWF" after all.

Piper thanks the crowd for the warm welcome, but says he's here tonight for one reason and one reason only, and that is to address The Hitman, Bret Hart. He cordially invites the WWF Champion to join him in the ring.

FxGHYUx.jpg

Not one to disappoint The Hitman makes his way from the back, gold belt gleaming around his waist and heads to the ring, where he shakes hands with Hot Rod. These two have quite the storied history together but obviously remain good friends. Piper thanks Bret for coming out, before going on to tell him that one of the proudest moments of his career, was walking into Wrestlemania VIII to defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against "the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.....I was honoured to compete in the same ring against you and I couldn't have asked for a better opponent to lose that prestigious Title to....especially when 6 months later, that same man went on to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion....a Champion who defended the title proudly against any and all comers, big and small, week in week out, night after night, you did what you do best and that's walk down that aisle, step between these ropes....and wrestle.....you would come down here and win, lose or draw you could walk to the back every single night with your head held high, because you knew that you had given it your all and left it all in the ring." Piper pauses for breath before looking Bret square in the eyes and asking...."what happened to that man Bret?"

Bret looks confused for a minute asking Piper what he means. "What do I mean? What I mean....is when was the last time you were able to walk to the back after a title defence, look in the mirror and tell the reflection looking back at you, that you were the better man....when was the last time that you looked down at the WWF Chanpionship....and truly felt like you deserved it.....when was the last time YOU defended that title....because as far as I'm concerned, the only reason you're holding that belt today.....is because of Kevin Nash."

Bret stops Piper there, asking him who he thinks he is "Jimminy Cricket? Who died and made him the conscience of the WWF.....Piper says he's not the conscience of anyone, hell, if you'd watched any of his matches in the last 15 years you'd know he "don't have no conscience myself." What he did have, was respect for The Hitman, and that respect is fading by the week. Hart interrupts him and gives the same speech he's been giving for weeks now, about Nash interfering, about it being out of his control, etc, etc....Hart says that Wrestlemania is still a month away, but he's sick and tired of people questioning his reign as WWF Champion....of people talking like either Shawn Michaels or Kevin Nash taking the belt off him being a forgone conclusion....."I am, the World Wrestling Federation Champion.....I am the best there is, the best there was and the the best there ever will be......and I will prove that decisively, when I walk out of Wrestlemania, still the WWF Champion, be that against Shawn Michaels....or Kevin Nash.....I've beaten them both before, I can beat them both again.....on my own, with no help from anyone.....as for being a fighting Champion, I will put this title on the line any time, any where against anyone.....so how about this, you don't respect me? You don't think I deserve this title? Consider this an open challenge.....for next week and every single week leading up to Wrestlemania. Anyone, anyone at all that wants a shot at this belt.....I'll be stood right here, in the middle of the ring, waiting to excellently execute them.....anybody....even you Piper."

With that Bret shoves the microphone into the chest of Hot Rod and heads to the back without another word.

It's time for the main event of the evening and Mr Perfect collars Kevin Nash just as he's about to go out to the ring. Perfect asks Nash about Shawn Michaels comments earlier, where he said he will be at Wrestlemania and will be competing for the WWF Championship.....Nash's answer is short and sweet, he tells Perfect that tonight, he's going to go out there and dismantle Sid....then, when I've won that match....all I gotta do, is make sure that Shawn Michaels is in no condition to perform at Wrestlemania......and we all know, that Big Daddy Cool is more than capable of that.

It's time for the main event of the evening and the battle of the big men. These two know each other very well, having bored the crowds to tears in matches throughout 1995, this is a little bit different though as both men are playing the heel role.

As a match itself, it's about as good as you can expect from Nash vs Sid. Hard hitting, smash mouth, no one leaving their feet. Nash is far more aggressive in this one though than he was in their previous encounters when he was more interested in pandering to the crowd. Sid inflicts a good amount of punishment on the former WWF Champion, but Kevin Nash is a man on a mission and fights back with everything it's worth. He finally hoists Sid up on his shoulders in an impressive display of strength, dropping him face first on the top turnbuckle with Snake eyes, before levelling him with a big boot and signalling for the Jackknife Powerbomb. He puts the big man in position and gets ready to lift him, in a move that will surely win him the match, when suddenly the lights go out.

rnLgWN8.jpg

The lights come back on and The Deadman is stood, not two feet away from Nash, who jumps back in surprise, releasing Sid in the process. The Undertaker looks at Nash, looks at the official, gives Nash the finger......and punches Sid square in the face. Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is over......and your winner? Psycho Sid. The referee had no choice but to disqualify Kevin Nash for outside interference.

Nash looks on in horror as he sees his Wrestlemania dream slip through his fingers. He starts screaming at the official to restart the match, yelling "this is bull###t" and when the referee won't acquiesce, Nash Jackknifes him for his troubles, before turning his attention to The Undertaker. The two men look ready to tear each other apart, but a slew of officials and security guards hit the ring and manage to keep the two competitors separated as the show fades to black.
