Matthews will introduce footage of the moment Chris Adonis was injured, warning the viewers of “graphic content”. Providing a voiceover to the footage, Josh Matthews will pinpoint the exact moment that Chris Adonis “fully ruptured his Elbow MCL”, during his match with Brian Cage. Putting over Adonis managing to complete the match, Matthews will inform viewers that Chris will miss most of the rest of 2018 with the injury. Wishing Adonis a “full and successful recovery from everybody at Impact Wrestling”, Josh Matthews add that he knows that Chris will be back in the Six Sided ring at some point in the future. This will lead into the opening titles of the show.</div></blockquote> Out of the opening credits, the show will be introduced by Josh Matthews and Jeremy Borash. Running down the night’s show, the Main Event will be the major topic of discussion. Talking about last week, where Eddie Edwards and James Storm claimed that the Grand Championship was being “held hostage”, Josh Matthews will promote the Number One Contendership match in the Main Event between the two men. Eli Drake will say that he doesn’t know where Adonis is, but if he had to guess, he’d say that he starting running about this time last week, and he hasn’t stopped to look back. Drake will say that last week, Brian Cage showed the world why everybody - including Chris Adonis - should try to stay as far away from him as they possibly can. This will bring Eli Drake onto their future, pondering where they go from here. Eli Drake will say that for what it’s worth, despite Chris Adonis’ defeat last week, he was willing to face him tonight. Thinking about it, Eli says that is probably another reason why Chris Adonis “called in sick” tonight. Moving on, Drake will say that whether Adonis really is injured or not is neither here nor there, adding that what matters was the message they sent last week. Drake will say that they saw in practise, the very thing he has been pointing out for weeks. He will explain that when anarchy rules - and there’s nobody in charge - the law of the jungle applies. Drake will close his promo, saying that last week, Brian Cage demonstrated every word that he has said to be true, proclaiming that “in this lawless land… only the strong survive!” On that note, the two men will leave the ring. Returning to last week, Konnan will commend his “warriors” in their fight against Mayweather and “those guys from Japan”, calling it a shame that they couldn’t finish them off for good. Konnan will say that those 4 guys aren’t people you want on your back, but offer a solution to Ortiz & Santana. This will see Konnan inform them of a match tonight, between The Veterans of War and Marufuji & Nakajima. Ortiz will be pleased with this, saying “divide and conquer”. Konnan will be pleased he’s getting it, but explain that there’s more to it than that. Saying that “the white Mafia” don’t give them anything without taking something back, Konnan will add in order to get the match made, he had to agree that the match would be a Number One Contendership match. Rosemary will follow the stalling Sienna to the outside, where she will be struck with the Steel Chair. This will result in a comprehensive, one sided beatdown from KM & Sienna, leaving their rivals old cold in the ring. Once sufficient damage has been done, Sienna will raise her chair in the air, while KM will sit backwards on his, looking down on the former Decay members.</div></blockquote> Returning from the commercial break, the commentators will discuss a graphic which explains the new rules for the “Grand Championship”. They will use this time to talk about the upcoming Number One Contendership match in tonight’s Main Event. Graphic: The commentators will talk over the graphic which will recap the rules of the Grand Championship. This will explain the round based system, while adding the new rules which state that if the Grand Champion is Disqualified or is defeated by Countout, they will lose the Championship. It will also be noted that anybody who gets involved in a Grand Championship match will suffer severe consequences, should they affect the outcome of the contest. Having rejected Konnan’s idea that Johnny Impact sees him as a “second class citizen”, a distracted Moose was hit with a low blow from Konnan, confirming his place on the hitlist of LAX. Neutralising the involvement of Ivelisse Velez, Braxton Sutter made his Impact Wrestling return - saving his girlfriend from the numbers game of LAX. Despite not wanting to face her, Allie will point out that Ivelisse Velez couldn’t help but get involved in her match. As a result, Allie will call out Velez right now. Now with a microphone of her own, Ivelisse will rundown the ‘fangirl’ Allie, saying that she isn't a competitor, and she doesn't deserve to share the ring with her. Sutter will step up, telling Velez that if she believes that, then she doesn't deserve to be in this ring. Allie will say that if she came out here to reject the challenge again, then she’s wasting everybody’s time. Ivelisse Velez will come back at them, saying that just because she didn’t come out here for Allie, doesn’t mean she isn’t looking for a fight. Velez will then step up to Braxton Sutter, going nose to nose with him. Braxton will make it clear that he has no interest in fighting Velez, and will try instead to calm his girlfriend Allie down. When he turns back, asking Ivelisse “are you serious?”, he will be hit with a low blow by Diamante, who used the distraction to move out of Allie and Braxton’s view. While Allie will try to retaliate, she will find herself up against it, and the two female members of LAX will take her out. Dutt will say that their win last week didn’t prove anything to him, because one swallow doesn’t make a summer. Williams will say that a single victory doesn’t make them the new standard of the X Division, telling them to come back where they’ve a “couple of hundred more classics” under their belt. And Williams will say that last week was only an introduction, adding that DJ Z & Dezmond Xavier have a lot to learn. Telling Johnny and Moose that he is an “old man”, Konnan will hold his leg, managing to convince the two men in the ring that he isn’t in any condition to fight them. (1 minute) Returning from the break, the commentators will talk about the upcoming Main Event - a Grand Championship Number One Contendership match between Eddie Edwards and James Storm. They will add that the referee for the match will be the current Champion himself, Ethan Carter, introducing a video package of his issues with the two men in the match. Video Package: Footage will recap the rivalry between Ethan Carter and Edwards & Storm, which began after James Storm dissolved Team Impact after Bound For Glory. This resulted in Ethan Carter turning on the two men. Declaring them “enemies of Impact”, Ethan Carter made it his mission to remove them from the company. While his own version of “Team Impact” was quickly dispatched, Ethan Carter has continued his crusade against the men who he believes have turned their back on Impact Wrestling. James Storm will be apologetic, but the two men will continue to fight, with a now more distant Ethan Carter enjoying watching the two men go at it for longer than necessary. Eventually, James Storm will hit a “Last Call” Superkick, finding himself in a winning position, only for Ethan Carter to pull to same trick. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> James Storm will get up and confront Ethan Carter, who will point to his black and white striped shirt, as Storm gets heated. While James will make no contact with Ethan Carter, he will continue to berate the Special Guest Referee. Eddie Edwards will then make it back to his feet, clearly rocked by the Superkick. Holding his jaw, Edwards will say to Ethan “are we going to go all night?” Ethan Carter will laugh at the competitors, gesturing for them to continue fighting. With the two men now face to face, confused by where they go next, Ethan Carter will clap his hands, demanding that they keep fighting. From shaking their heads, James Storm will nod to Eddie Edwards, who will knowingly nod back. Then, when Ethan Carter next shouts at the pair to keep the match going, Eddie Edwards and James Storm will hit him with simultaneous Superkicks, knocking the Special Guest Referee out. Later in the night, the group looked to attack Katsuhiko Nakajima and Naomichi Marufuji, after the pair became the Number One Contenders to the World Tag Team Championships. </li><li>Johnny Impact continued to fight back against Alberto El Patron and LAX, and was joined in his battle by Moose. Having been at loggerheads recently, the two men appeared to be on the same page - united by their issues with Alberto El Patron, Konnan and LAX. </li><li>During the Main Event, Eddie Edwards went one on one with James Storm in a Number One Contendership match for the Grand Championship. Serving as the Special Guest Referee, Champion Ethan Carter screwed with the two contenders, a decision which was followed by Edwards and Storm hitting him with a Superkick. This will translate - following a hard hitting opening from Marufuji & Nakajima - to the World Tag Team Champions taking control early in the match. Throughout the match, the Pro-Wrestling NOAH representatives will continually look for a way back into the match, but will be undercut every step of the way. Eventually, they will begin to build momentum, only for Konnan to once again get involved. Marufuji will be annoyed by this, and when he goes to confront the leader of LAX, he will be rolled up. This will achieve a near fall, which LAX feel sure was a three.</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Arguing with the official, Homicide will climb on the ring apron to get his point across. Coming from the side, Katsuhiko Nakajima will Homicide with a Jumping High Kick, sending him crashing to the ground. From here, Marufuji & Nakajima will be given a fair chance, and will turn the match back in their favour. Thrown off by the lack of outside involvement, Ortiz & Santana will struggle to keep up with the Japanese duo and Ortiz will eventually find himself isolated. This will allow Marufuji & Nakajima to go in for the kill, with a Superkick from Naomichi Marufuji being followed immediately by a German Suplex from Katsuhiko Nakajima. With LAX beginning to regroup on the outside, the new Tag Team Champions will leave the ring.</div></blockquote> Coming back from the first commercial break, the commentators will discuss the events from the previous part, where Katsuhiko Nakajima and Naomichi Marufuji became the new World Tag Team Championships. The pair have drawn the ire of LAX after they stood up for Gail Kim, who the group had humiliated on her last night in Impact. When they reach the ring, Braxton Sutter will take a microphone. Showing no fear, Braxton will make a huge mistake in cutting in on LAX’s in-ring summit, but will be well aware of it. Sutter will ask the furious Konnan if he has his attention now, saying that he won’t be ignored by them anymore. He will say that if the ladies of LAX want to pick a fight with Allie, then the men of LAX have an issue with him. Konnan will be pissed off, but before he can go off on Braxton, Homicide will step up. Homicide will say that he doesn’t lace them up very often anymore, but he is willing to do it tonight to kick Braxton’s ass. Konnan will be unsure of this, but Braxton Sutter will be more than willing to fight Homicide. Therefore, Alberto tells Homicide that he can rest easy tonight, because he is more than willing to deal with the Braxton Sutter issue. Sutter will be happy with this, fired up to get a chance against the Impact World Champion. This will result in Konnan calming Homicide down, and leading LAX out of the ring. Now stood in the ring alone, Allie will look at Braxton Sutter concerned, but he will assure her that he is ready for the challenge of Alberto El Patron. The commentators will make it clear that they respect the courage of Braxton Sutter, but point to the damage Alberto has done to the likes of Johnny Impact as evidence that Sutter is in for a tough night.</div></blockquote> After promoting the Main Event for tonight’s show, a match just made between Alberto El Patron and Braxton Sutter, the commentators will use talk about the fired up Braxton Sutter having a huge opportunity tonight, as a way to discuss another frustrated competitor - Garza Jr. He is currently looking to build momentum in the X Division. This will lead into footage from last week. Video Package: Footage will show the finish to the match between Garza Jr. and Trevor Lee, where the influence of Andrew Everett and Caleb Konley helped The B.T.C leader to victory. Following the match, Matt Sydal (who joined commentary for the match) was confronted by Garza Jr., who was angered by the X Division Champion’s decision to remain neutral, despite Lee’s bending of the rules. He will explain that in this lawless land, only the strongest survive. Eli Drake will then close to the promo, saying that whoever ends up accepting their challenge, had better ready themselves for the full force of "Natural Selection". Because of this, she will explain that she is back in Impact Wrestling to start from the bottom, and to work hard to earn her spot in the Knockouts Division. After this, Taya will leave the ring, heading straight back up the ramp.</div></blockquote> Using the apparent change of heart from Taya as a segue, the commentators will discuss the events from recent weeks, where Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt have declared themselves “The Gatekeepers” and set about showing the likes of Dezmond Xavier and DJ Z that they are still the men to beat in the X Division. The balance of the division seems slightly skewed.</div></blockquote> Depends how you look at it. To me, there are currently 6 knockouts positioned as credible competitors. We have Allie, Rosemary and if you want to count her as a face at this point, Taya Valkyrie. On the heel side there is Sienna, Ivelisse Velez and Diamante. Other than those, the rest are just jobbers or side characters at the minute. The issue is probably with the lack of credible names in the division full stop. You're correct that we are lacking heels, but there aren't enough on either side really.

They will talk about the “fight back” against the dominant group, summing their feelings up in the final lines of the promo. It annoys me that the X Division Championship is the one title LAX doesn't seem to be targeting when they have a former X Division Champion in the group. ”Hard Justice”

This week’s Impact Wrestling will see a highly stacked card, as Impact’s Global distributors present: Hard Justice!

Of particular note, is the one on one Main Event match between Ethan Carter and Eddie Edwards - where two men of very different backgrounds, styles and approaches go one on one for the Grand Championship. Last week, Ethan Carter defeated James Storm - after the challenger had been assaulted in the back by a mystery assailant. Video footage which proved Ethan Carter’s whereabouts at the time of the assault would appear to clear him, but a sense of injustice remains over last week’s Main Event. Having claimed Edwards and Storm as “Enemies of Impact”, Ethan Carter has taken the position as “Impact’s Defender”, and will look to continue his mission to rid the company of his former “Team Impact” teammates.

Elsewhere, Homicide will make his return to singles action in Impact Wrestling, going one on one with Johnny Impact in a Street Fight. Having assaulted Johnny Impact with a Steel Pipe last week, LAX’s Homicide was challenged by the former Impact World Champion - who is currently suffering from a number of niggling injuries stemming from his rivalries with Alberto El Patron and LAX. Playing into the hands of Homicide, the opportunity to further add to Impact’s troubles was too tempting to turn down, and the LAX OG will return to the Impact Wrestling ring for a heated Street Fight this week!

Also, Crazzy Steve and Rosemary will face KM & Sienna, in a No DQ match which has been made to bring an end to their heated rivalry. Having had their opponent’s number during their earlier interactions, Crazzy Steve & Rosemary have been the victim of a series of sneak attacks from KM & Sienna, and will look to score revenge in a match where anything is legal! Meanwhile, X Division up and comers DJ Z & Dezmond Xavier will team up against The Gatekeepers, in a match which will see them attempt to prove they have the ability to hang with the two X Division veterans. Having claimed themselves to be the last bastions of a “Golden Age” in X Division history, Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt have spent the past month looking to establish themselves as the dominant force in the X Division.
