Things are looking great in this diary so far. Sorry I haven't predicted and commented as much lately but things have been rather busy in my life.

Sorry to see Johnny Impact lose the belt but I understand why it was put on El Patron. LAX is looking strong here. They have all the belts. But how long will that last?

I am looking forward to seeing some real strong Impact alumni coming back to the promotion. Maybe Judas Mesias aka Mil Muertes comes back? If Impact could make a working agreement with Lucha Underground, they could bring in Rey Mysterio for a show or two. Rey Rey versus Alberto would be gold for Impact Wrestling even in Canada.

Closing out the package, the words of Josh Matthews will be replayed, as he declared: “Tonight was the Genesis of a ‘New Era’ in Impact Wrestling. This will lead the discussion away from Alberto El Patron and into LAX. Having formed a “working agreement” with Alberto El Patron, it will be put over that last week saw them debut a new member, as Ivelisse Velez humiliated Gail Kim in what was supposed to be her retirement speech. Borash will put over that as an utter show of disrespect, but point out that with the majority of the Gold in Impact Wrestling belonging to Alberto El Patron and his LAX allies, there is little anybody can do to stop them. Josh Matthews will talk about an “uneasy” balance of power in Impact Wrestling, which he puts down to the lack of an “authoritative presence” in the back. Alberto El Patron will say that justice prevailed not because he asked for an opportunity… but because he took it! El Patron will take the audience back to Slammiversary, where he proved himself as the “best of the best” when he defeated the “unstoppable force”, Lashley. Alberto will say that not long after that, an accusing finger was pointed at him, and those in charge believed it without question. El Patron will add that even though he was cleared of any wrongdoings, this company still stripped him of the Championship that he earned - simply because they had decided he “wasn’t the face they wanted representing their company”. Alberto will then ask the audience to name the two faces that they did chose were. He will then answer his own question, saying that Eli Drake and Johnny Impact took his spot at Bound For Glory, asking “what do those two men have in common?” El Patron will say that “you can add Eddie Edwards... James Storm… Ethan Carter and more to that list, the answer stays the same”. Quoting Konnan, El Patron will say that the leader of LAX had it right when he said that the “White Mafia” were running Impact Wrestling. Alberto El Patron will continue, saying that one by one, those “old boys” faded away, and where the power vacuum opened up, Alberto and LAX seized the opportunity! El Patron will say that last week, everybody saw that when it comes down to it, in an even one on one contest, Alberto El Patron is the “greatest competitor” in Impact Wrestling history! He will add that there was no LAX, no distracting the referee and no excuses for Johnny Impact. “There was just the Cross Armbreaker, Johnny Impact’s arm… and the sound of a bone crunching”. On this line, Johnny Impact’s music will play, and the former Champion will appear on the ramp. As he walks down the ramp, it will be noted that Johnny Impact’s arm is in a sling. <div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="BHbkbJD.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BHbkbJD.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div> Making his way to the ring, Johnny Impact will present a humbled figure, awkwardly entering the ring. The commentators will talk about the injury Impact sustained last week, after El Patron ruthlessly targeted his right arm. Taking a microphone in his left arm, Johnny Impact will be mocked by El Patron, who will extend his right arm, offering a handshake. The smug Alberto El Patron will of course be aware that Johnny’s injury will prevent him from accepting the handshake, even if he wanted to. Johnny Impact will see the humorous side, sarcastically saying “very funny”. From there, Johnny Impact will say that last week, Alberto El Patron was ruthless, he was aggressive and he held nothing back. But Johnny will add that he must admit, Alberto El Patron won the match fair and square. Impact may not have liked how he got there, but will concede that there is nothing El Patron did last week, that Johnny Impact wouldn’t have done in the same situation. Alberto El Patron will appear to be equally honest, saying that Johnny Impact’s performance last week proved that he deserves to be at the very top of Impact Wrestling. This will later be revealed as another of El Patron’s “jokes”, as he uses this to lead into an “offer” for Johnny Impact to take his rematch for the Impact World Championship tonight. Johnny Impact will point out his arm, saying that there’s no way he would be cleared to compete tonight. El Patron will laugh, knowing that there was never any chance of Johnny taking the match. He will then tell Impact that he “tried”, adding that if Johnny can’t compete, then him being out here is an insult to the “sacred ring” which they stand in. Johnny Impact will say that Alberto’s right, because he knows there is a bunch of guys willing to come out here tonight and prove themselves. For that reason, Johnny will agree to leave the ring - exiting with a parting message to the Impact World Champion. Johnny Impact will assure Alberto El Patron that his injury will heal, and he will come back stronger. Johnny will then put his hand on the centerplate of the Championship, which will anger El Patron. As El Patron gets in Johnny’s face, the former Champion will finish his statement, declaring that he doesn’t know when he’ll be back, but he will be coming for Alberto El Patron and the Impact World Championship. With that, Johnny Impact will leave the ring.</div></blockquote> Following on from that segment, the commentators will talk about Alberto’s rematch proposal, pointing out that El Patron only made the challenge because he knew that Impact was unable to compete. They will use this to segue into talk of the Heavyweight Championship match which will take place tonight, as Eddie Edwards defends NOAH’s GHC Heavyweight Championship, against Pro-Wrestling NOAH stalwart Naomichi Marufuji - the first time the Championship has been defended in North America. This discussion will lead into a “Tale of the Tape”, featuring the vital statistics of both Champion and Challenger. While Eddie Edwards will speak of his respect for his challenger, he will make it clear that he has zero intention of losing the GHC Heavyweight Championship, especially on his own turf.</div></blockquote> Video Package: Back from the break, footage will be shown from last week, recapping Brian Cage’s debut. Looking for someone to blame for his inability to regain the Impact World Champion, Eli Drake pointed the finger at the one man who has had his back throughout his run, Chris Adonis. Claiming that Chris Adonis had failed at his job, Eli Drake got in his former friends face. This resulted in Chris Adonis flipping, looking to put Drake in the Adonis Lock. When he eventually managed to secure the hold, Chris Adonis was jumped from behind, by the man who was recognised by Jeremy Borash as Brian Cage. Taking Chris Adonis out, and carrying his buddy to the back, the commentators suggested that Brian Cage is the “destructive force”, that will put the Impact Wrestling locker room “on notice”. Understanding “Survival of the Fittest”, Eli Drake will explain that he went out and got himself “the biggest, the baddest… and the strongest!” Eli Drake will continue, telling the audience that it wasn’t a difficult choice to make, with reaching out to his “old friend” being the “Natural Selection”. The two men will completely blow the furious Chris Adonis off, leaving him alone in the ring - frustrated with the situation.</div></blockquote> Video Package: Introducing footage from last week, Gail Kim’s retirement speech will be shown, as well as Konnan’s disrespectful decision to interrupt her. This led to a challenge from LAX, for Gail Kim to defend her Championship one last time. Following threats of violence towards her husband Robert Irvine, Gail agreed to the match, believing it to be against LAX’s Diamante. This proved to be incorrect, as Konnan introduced the newest member of LAX, Ivelisse Velez. Catching Gail Kim off guard, Velez was able to pick up the victory - becoming the new Knockouts Champion in shocking circumstances. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44295" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Location: In The Back Duration: 2 minutes Heading over to the back, footage from “last week” will be shown. An emotional Gail Kim will be seen, moments after he retirement celebration was ruined by LAX. Right now, Gail Kim will say that she just wants to get herself and her husband as far away from LAX as possible. In that he includes Alberto El Patron, who he describes as a “man of integrity”, and who proudly represent their people. Grabbing the camera, and speaking straight into it, Konnan will say that the old boys have lost their power, and with that, anybody who was ever part of the “White Mafia”, or who played under their rules, will suffer. Konnan will say that LAX are stronger than they’ve ever been, and Impact Wrestling had better watch out! Jeremy Borash will suggest that if they know what’s good for them, Ethan’s lackeys will leave the ring. Instead, they will start to direct Marufuji, ordering that he joins in the attack. Clearly not realising they had just cost the man the chance to become the GHC Heavyweight Champion, Barnes and Norv will be shocked when he refuses. They most certainly will not see what happens next coming. All of a sudden, Naomichi Marufuji will begin to take shots at Barnes and Fernum, hitting them with a series of stiff kicks and strikes which quickly and efficiently take the two men out. Eventually returning to his feet, Eddie Edwards will help remove the two men from the ring. This will allow the referee to hand him his GHC Heavyweight Championship. As the two men engage in a staredown, realising that this probably won’t be the last time they go at it, Eddie Edwards will make it clear that Marufuji will get another shot. With the two men shaking hands, ready for their future battle, Ethan Carter will make his way to the top of the ramp. <div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="bz46915.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bz46915.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div> Ethan will say that the attack may not have been successful, but even Dewey and Norv accept that they’re collateral damage. Sorry… about your damn luck!” James Storm will then drop the microphone and take out a bottle of beer. He will raise the bottle towards Eddie Edwards and Naomichi Marufuji in the ring, with all three men seen standing tall to end the show.</div></blockquote>

After the Main Event of last week’s show was sabotaged by “Team Impact”, Eddie Edwards saw only one way to solve the problem, and has called out Ethan Carter for a match this week. Having ruined a historic moment in Impact Wrestling history, Ethan Carter will this week have to face the GHC Heavyweight Champion. Looking to counterbalance the potential presence of Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum from “Team Impact”, James Storm has been named as the “Guest Enforcer” for the match. Last week, as Ethan Carter gloated about his actions, he was hit with Last Call Superkick by James Storm. Storm promised that as long as Carter continues his twisted crusade, Storm will be waiting behind him every step of the way…

There will also be Knockouts action this week, following a challenge made to LAX by Allie. Having humiliated Gail Kim, and taken the Knockouts Championship she was set to vacate, LAX’s Ivelisse Velez was called out by Allie - a long term friend of Gail Kim. Sharing many people’s disgust with the tactics used by LAX, after they threatened physical violence towards Gail’s husband, Allie has vowed that if Gail Kim can’t take revenge herself, then Allie will! While Allie’s challenge was accepted, she will this week face Diamante, and not the Knockouts Champion.

Of course, this is unlikely to be LAX’s only involvement of the night, as Konnan looks to protect Impact World Champion, and LAX ally, Alberto El Patron.

Also set for the night’s show, Chris Adonis will officially call out Eli Drake, looking for answers after Drake blamed him for his lack of recent success, two weeks ago. Bringing in Brian Cage to assault Chris Adonis, Eli Drake has claimed that he needed to “upgrade” from Chris Adonis, if he wishes to once again become the Impact World Champion. Chris Adonis didn’t buy this, and with Eli Drake’s claims that Impact Wrestling has become a “lawless land”, he intends to bring Eli Drake to justice - no matter what it takes!

Elsewhere, Sienna will look to get back to winning ways against Alisha Edwards, while Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt will call on backup as they look to gain revenge of the disrespectful B.T.C. The show will also feature the Impact Wrestling debut of Cody Deaner, as he goes one on one with the flashy and arrogant Idris Abraham.

Ethan will say that last week, Impact Wrestling meant nothing to Eddie Edwards, adding that he and his team had little choice but to remind Eddie Edwards, and Naomichi Marufuji, what show they were on. Initially looking terrified, the dememour of Dewey and Norv will change when Carter turns to them. At this time, they will act like they are up for the match. “Team Impact” will size up, with Dewey and Norv standing behind Ethan and telling Naomichi that “we’re all ready”. Ethan Carter will look to his two lackeys, with a confused look. He will then explain that if they think he’s getting involved with Marufuji tonight, they’ve got another thing coming. Speaking apologetically, Dewey Barnes will tell Ethan that they won’t be able to help him tonight. Ethan Carter will lose his cool, demanding that his men do as they are told. Launching into a tirade, about what they will have to sacrifice to be in “Team Impact”, Carter will stop when Dewey and Norv gingerly make it to their feet. Norv will look Ethan in the eyes, repeating the sentiment “Ethan… the answer is no”. The two men will then hobble out of the room, leaving Carter to consider his next move.</div></blockquote> Returning to ringside, discussion of Carter’s “right hand men” being unable to help him will be used to segue into talk about Eli Drake and his recent decision to cut ties with his right hand man. This will be followed by the introduction of a video package about the break up of Chris Adonis and Eli Drake’s alliance. Video Package: Going back to the first show of the year, the accusing finger of Eli Drake - pointed towards Chris Adonis - will mark the start of the story. Having blamed Chris Adonis for his failure to recapture the Impact World Championship, Eli Drake turned his back on his right-hand man, with the help of his “old friend” Brian Cage. Showing the brutal assault that Cage administered to Adonis, footage from last week will see Eli Drake and Brian Cage blowing Chris Adonis off, as he looked for answers from Eli Drake. Crashing Gail Kim’s retirement speech, LAX threatened Gail and her husband, coerced her into agreeing to one final title defence. Believing the match to be against Diamante, Gail Kim prepared for action, only to confronted by the debuting Ivelisse Velez. Attempting to turn Moose against the audience, Konnan claimed that the people don’t care about him. Moose disagreed, but Konnan continued - claiming that the Moose chant has nothing to do with Moose himself, and everything to do with the simple minded, pavlovian nature of the fans. Following the video package, the commentators continue to discuss Konnan’s words and Jeremy Borash will insist that the people are “with” Moose. Johnny Impact will say El Patron only claimed that because he is a “pollo”. Johnny Impact will then put over the roster, saying that everybody in the building knows that there are worthy challengers in the locker room. He will add that Alberto knows this too. Moose will say that he knows what Alberto El Patron is trying to do, and he understands why Konnan is trying to get in his head. Moose will add that he knows all about Alberto and Konnan’s “special relationship”, but say that he isn’t a stupid as they seem to think. Moose will then point all around the ring, saying that he feels the love of these people on a weekly basis, and there is nothing Konnan can do to change that. Moose will say that Konnan can believe all he likes that these people don’t care about him, because he knows for a fact that Konnan doesn’t have his interests at heart. On that note, Moose will turn to Johnny Impact, saying that nothing will stop him coming for Alberto El Patron. He will however wonder why Johnny called him out. Johnny will reply, explaining that just like the people, he believes in Moose. Johnny will say that right now, he can’t compete, and he wants to officially give his “endorsement” to Moose challenging for the Impact World Championship. Impact will say that there is just one thing, adding that as soon as he comes back, he wants to be next in line for the title! Moose will make it clear that he appreciates Johnny’s support, but will not be able to respond before the music of LAX hits. Konnan will once again make his way out of the LAX entrance. However, Moose will not look convinced, making it appear that Konnan’s words may be getting through to him. Despite the heated rivalry, the match will begin fairly slowly, based around the two men looking to one up each other. Sat at ringside, Eli Drake will make it clear that he has no intention of being involved in the match. Eventually, the intensity of the match will pick up, as the emotions of Chris Adonis come back to the surface. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> From here, Chris Adonis will mount a large amount of offence, culminating with him looking for the Adonis Lock. However, before the hold is completely locked in, Brian Cage will push his arms down, preventing the move from being put on. Having prevented the “unbreakable hold” from taking him down, Brian Cage will have to deal with Adonis looking to break him down, constantly looking for the Adonis Lock. When Chris Adonis once again comes close to securing the Adonis Lock, Brian Cage will drive his opponent back into the turnbuckle. Releasing himself, Brian Cage will then run towards Adonis, hitting him with a Corner Splash. Eli Drake will squeeze Chris Adonis’ cheeks, telling him “your ride on the gravy train... is over!” Eli Drake will then order Brian Cage to “get him up”, and Adonis will be brought back to his feet. Still on jelly legs, Chris Adonis will have to be delivered to Drake by Cage, who helps him to lift him up. Eli Drake will then deliver his signature “Gravy Train” to Chris Adonis, laying him out once again in the middle of the ring. Eli Drake will gloat about his actions to the audience, before crouching beside the man he has just taken out. Grabbing Adonis’ face once again, Eli Drake will tell Chris Adonis “you are finished!” before throwing his head back down into the canvas. Standing tall in the middle of the ring, Eli Drake will once again raise the hand of Brian Cage, as the show goes off the air. Agreeing with Eli Drake’s recent comments, Josh Matthews will sign off the show, saying that “in the lawless landscape of Impact Wrestling, anything goes… and only the strong survive!”</div></blockquote>

Chris Adonis Inured; Could Miss The Rest of the Year

Given the heated nature of his rivalry with Eli Drake and Brian Cage, it is with regret that ImpactWrestling.com must today announce an injury to Chris Adonis, suffered during his match with Brian Cage on last week’s Impact Wrestling. Undeterred by developments, Chris Adonis has vowed to be back, but will miss up to 9 months of action after sustaining the injury. Assessed immediately after the match, it was later revealed that Chris Adonis had suffered a “full rupture of his Elbow MLC”.

Everybody at Impact Wrestling wishes Chris Adonis a healthy recovery, with assurances that his place on the roster will remain open for his eventual return to the Six Sided ring. For further updates, check out Impact Wrestling - this Thursday on Pop!
