Making “Non-Fighters” Actual Fighters

 

i’m here to ask is there a way to make a “non-fighter” a fighter? i currently have the mod and id like to make fighters like BJ Penn, GSP, Brock Lesnar, etc become fighters in my promotion. is there someway in editor i can make this happen?

I don't think so, except obviously before the game has started (through the editor).

ever since i’ve gotten the recent patch my wmma5 keeps somehow deleting and i keep having to copy and paste the recent patch of wmma back into it. it continuously crashes and deletes, would anyone know any tips or help for this situation?</p>

Is there any way to import belt lineage from another database? I figured i'd update ALL parts of my real world database I put hours into from Maxi's besides the Characters since im happy with what i've done, only to find out after deleting the belt lineages the Import button is there for cosmetics. This is insane. HOURS of work down the drain if there isn't some way to do this

 

EDIT if there is a way im missing, god i'd appreciate it. Just spent however long since this post looking through the files and such hoping to find something but I didn't Guess i'm gonna truck on without belt lineages

It sounds like you may be misunderstanding the instruction to "update" - you're not just updating Windows, you're specifically updating past 1909. If you follow the instructions in this thread it will fix your problem.

Is there any way to import belt lineage from another database?

 

I never tampered with them, usually because I like to start fresh without any lineages, but you shouldn't touch these at all.

 

They come with the "belts" - which is why you can't import them - but if you delete them, the belts also get cleansed.

 

Normally, if you import the belts from an established database they should reappear as long as the fighters' names are the same, which they should.

Anybody experience slow loading times in the Matchmaking screen? When I click on a fighter, it'll take like 5-10 seconds to load the profile. I have a decent PC build, so I'm pretty sure it's not that. I'm like almost 15 years in-game though, could that be it? Any fixes on making it load faster?

Isn't there a screen that shows the amount of stoppages and decisions throughout your entire company's (in-game) history? I can only find the one that displays it for the individual fighters.

Ive had this happen to me.....it wasn't in a particularly long game either (4-5 years in. I think it happens when you have a ton of people in your divisions but that's just my best guess. So like you said its like 5 to 10 seconds to load but once they load its ok, you can go from fighter to fighter within that division no problem... but once you choose a different weight class the loading begins again. I ultimately ended up quitting that save as it got stale, but thats what i remember. Having between 80 to 100 fighters across like 12 divisions.

So the game claims that there are 32 fighters in my heavyweight division for GAMMA. However the rankings only show 22 fighters and, more importantly, the match making only recognizes 22 fighters as well. Any idea what's going on here?

Rankings will only show people who have had five (I think?) or more fights. If they've had enough fights then click on the Update Rankings button.

Is your card too soon after a recent one?

Are your other ten fighters injured or under medical suspension?

Have they had a fight recently and aren't ready yet?

Are they not exclusive to GAMMA and have other fights booked?

Have their contracts with you started yet?

Do you have filters on for prelim only/main card only etc. which would filter them out?

Answering your questions in order here, as best as I can recall: 1) It wasn't, the last card was roughly two months previous.

 

2)I don't think they were. They were bottom of the card guys, who I'd wanted to put in a one night tournament in hopes of shaking things up.

 

3) I honestly don't recall at the moment. This one might be the answer.

 

4) I don't sign non-exclusive contracts.

 

5) I'm pretty sure they all had. There weren't any cuts to the heavyweight roster at that point, any hire would've been to replace somebody who'd been cut due to a big losing streak.

 

6) I don't do anything with those particular filters, so no.

How do I generate fighters with pictures?

 

You don't. You'll have to download a mod using "Free pictures" or make one yourself using the pictures you have.

Like the game just said that Esteban Vegas won the first two rounds in his fight with Petey Mack, then has him lose in a split decision. If it's not an accurate account of who's actually winning the fight, why bother having it in the game?

If they simply followed exactly what the commentary said then every fight would be called as a unanimous decision and there'd never be any "bad" calls.</p>

If a fighter signs a non-exclusive contract with a company, how long needs to pass until he will discuss contract with you? Six months or something like that?

Also, why would you use Throwaway shows?

I mean, I've done lesser shows, which is pretty much all my shows that's not on PPV. But a throwaway show seems... weird. You're doomed to lose money and popularity.

- Until there's one fight left or a month before it expires. Not 100% sure on the latter

 

- I never use Throwaways shows (what's in a name? ). I'd rather take a pop hit on a "bad" lesser show than schedule a show where the outcome just doesn't matter. At least the main event will have some traction. In theory, I would only use it if I wanted to be some sort of megacorp that controls all MMA fights and you literaly put dozens extra to create contenders. But it's just better to pick prospects and let the rest work their way up through the local show system, which works really well in my experience.

Is it possible to do a sort of "semi-sandbox" mode in a scratch-built setting where you have effectively a monopoly with every existing/popular fighter and and a ton of lucrative broadcast deals already signed?

Of course. You can either just play one promotion and just call your events differently (fi. be "UFC" but hold "Strikeforce" events). Or you can play as several players, though this is annoying as you have to skip through every day multiple times.

 

If you give yourself 1 billion dollars you can make all the broadcasters you want.

Maybe a dumb question, but here goes:

If you have a fighter signed on an exclusive deal, but he hasn't fought in a while (let's say a year or so), can they become unhappy or demand fights?

Is there any real world mods out there with remotely realistic stats? Carlos Condit & Nick Diaz should not be knocking out Khamzat Chimaev & Leon Edwards in 2021...

 

I know you can edit stats yourself but the mods ive seen need an awful lot of work. You’d basically need to re-do every fighters stats.
