Sad to see Chord passed away. Amazing show though! Ricky getting the spot seemed the most likely, Gilmore hinting at retirement makes me a little sad. Cant wait for Gino vs Hernandez has me all hyped.. cant wait to see what it delivers!

<p>'The Hillbilly Heartthrob' Solomon Gold [vs] <strong>'The Black Sheep' Logan DeColt</strong>-Moving Logan away from the DeColts seems like a good move right now. Allows you to build him up and then when he's more experienced and popular he can come for them again</p><p> </p><p>

'The Hillbilly Heartthrob' Solomon Gold [vs] 'The Black Sheep' Logan DeColt

Solomon Gold has been doing a lot of losing lately, and I see that continuing here especially against the silver spoon Logan.

'Country Strong' KC Glenn [vs] Erik Strong 'Though'

Strong had a quick 15 minutes of fame, but KC Glenn is legit and he uses Strong here as a stepping stone. In my save that's 13 years in, KC Glenn and Gino Montero are #1 and #2 in the world (both funny enough with SOTBPW) and ((eventually)) I see KC Glenn being one of your top guys.

'Cut Throat' Trent Shaffer [vs] 'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust

Faust was very valuable as "experienced wrestler with name value that can make people care about a match/feud that he will inevitably lose". Shaffer's not a guy I see any value in unfortunately (other than a tag team with Seeker) but I think he wins here.

Local Enhancement Talent [vs] El Fuego w/ Faith

Primed For Progress [vs] POISON & Prometheus

Going to lean on the shenanigans result. I don't see POISON getting pinned and Prometheus's first real loss is going to be a big deal (similar to Gargantuan's).

'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'Wild Man' Jack DeColt

Dunn isn't punching in the DeColt weight class yet, but this will be a good litmus test to get an idea of how close he is to it.

MAY 2018, WEEK 4…

Show Rating: 90

Announce Team:

9eHH4Wa.pnglNhSZHh.jpgeXOBXiC.jpg

Peter Michaels, Tom Townsend and Adrian Garcia

'The Outsider' Returns

0fRCEzS.jpg

Steve DeColt opened the show tonight... returning after a vicious assault at the hands of Gargantuan at Glory a little under two weeks ago...

Steve DeColt:
“Alright I'm gonna get right to it... Gargantuan... If you're here... Get out here NOW!!”

67IOoBB.jpg

It didn't take long for Gargantuan to answer the call... But bizarrely, he paced around the ring, and wouldn't get in...

Steve called him a coward, and told him he should get in the ring now, and face up to what he did at Glory...

Jh7M6Wu.jpg

A man we had never seen in NOTBPW before: Floyd Goldworthy, then strolled to the ring with a microphone...

Floyd Goldworthy:
“Mr. DeColt... You may not know me, but I am 'The Fast Buck' Floyd Goldworthy... and my friend Gargantuan doesn't deem you worthy of his time tonight... We thought about going after Gino Montero on his return... Claiming back his NOTBPW Canadian Championship... But we wanted a big match for Mid Summer Madness, and Gino already has one... So... Instead... We came after the biggest star in the company... 'The Outsider'... Steve DeColt... From now on... 'The Monster' has ME making his decisions for him... I'll tell him where to be, and when... and we'll see how long it takes him to rip through the entire NOTBPW roster!!”

Steve DeColt couldn't wait to accept the challenge... Steve versus Gargantuan at Mid Summer Madness!!

'The Hillbilly Heartthrob'
Solomon Gold
[vs] 'The Black Sheep'
Logan DeColt
w/ The CanAm Blondes

Solomon Gold and Logan DeColt are a similar age, but have had very different success levels in NOTBPW. Logan's Father Alex helped him get in the door, and thanks to his Uncle Jack, he's now aligned with the CanAm Blondes, who are looking after him and will protect him from attacks. Gold is a former tag team partner of The Natural of the CanAm Blondes, and they hate the youngster now. They helped Logan win, when Owen Love held Gold's leg, and he turned around and was hit with the 'DeColt Driver'.

Winner:
'The Black Sheep' Logan DeColt w/ The CanAm Blondes

Finish:
'DeColt Driver' (Brainbuster)

DaLays Never Liked DeColts

DvMqiS9.jpgIvyHiqr.jpg2q1vUIB.jpgYgbZl9s.jpgXP70MSR.jpgNx1U4Qa.jpg

Dan and Robin DaLay hit the ring when the final bell rang, wanting to get their hands on Logan DeColt for his attack on them at Glory!!

But the CanAm Blondes stood in their way... and things got tense... It looked like a fight was going to break out...

Dan DaLay:
“How about next week... The Blondes face The DaLays in a tag team match... And once we get through you guys, we get to get our hands on Logan!!”

Logan stood behind Natural and Love, poking fun at The DaLays... winding them up... But with Solomon Gold down and out, they were too outnumbered to do anything...

xiceyGo.jpg

Seeking Championships

vW08gfm.jpgOo1KdeV.jpg

Timothy Weightman was stood with Jacob Jett next, and Jett had a message for his former tag team partner Seeker...

Jacob Jett:
“Seeker doesn't get away from me that easily... Next week, I'm fighting Sayeed Ali 1 on 1... If I beat him... In a non-Title match... Then we make it a Triple Threat at Mid Summer Madness... Ali... versus Jett... versus Seeker... for the NOTBPW Television Title...”

Jett said that Seeker may have beat him at Glory, but he beat Seeker at Super Slam... So they are NOT done with each other...

'Country Strong'
KC Glenn
[vs]
Erik Strong
'Though'

Erik Strong began this match by flying at KC Glenn, and almost taking his head off with a lariat! Glenn was up against it from that point on, but he is a proud All Action Champion, and he fought back into it. In the end, he almost took Strong's head off with his 'Tune Up The Sunshine Band' finisher!

Winner:
'Country Strong' KC Glenn

Finish:
'Tune Up The Sunshine Band' Brogue Kick

WYUVp50.jpgI7nFupk.jpg

We cut backstage very quickly following KC Glenn's win, to where Dan Stone Jr. was running in a corridor with referees and officials!!

They turned a corner, and found Jeremy Stone beaten, bloodied, and left in a heap as doctors helped him...

Dan Stone was furious, and he demanded that Jeremy tell him who was responsible for the attack...

Between coughs and clear pain, Jeremy gave Dan the name he already knew was the answer...

Jeremy Stone:
“It... It... Was... Ace, man... Ace did this...”

'Ace' refers to Aaron Andrews, and a seething Dan Stone Jr. told the doctors to 'fix' his brother...

xiceyGo.jpg

Sign On The Dotted Line, Amigo

pbTaNg8.pngHvyKPXq.jpg

Gino Montero and James Hernandez headed to the ring next, for the contract signing for their NOTBPW Canadian Title Match at Mid Summer Madness...

The segment was supposed to be overseen by The Stone Brothers, but due to the attack on Jeremy, they were a little preoccupied...

With no one around to stop it, James Hernandez wanted to goad Gino Montero into a fight... and he picked up both microphones from the table...

James Hernandez:
“Yeah that's right... I've got BOTH microphones... Because what I'm about to say is infinitely more important than anything Gino Montero could say... Now Giiiino... Don't worry about the contract... It's not immigration paperwork... All you have to do... Is... Sign. On. The. Dotted. Line. Amigo... Comprende?!”

Gino took one look at Hernandez, and smiled... He grabbed the pen, and signed his signature... He then handed it over to Hernandez...

But then he took the contract and pen back... and pulled a microphone from his pocket!!

Gino Montero:
“Hey Hernandez... Maybe I should sign the contract TWICE huh...? Because a Gino Montero versus Gino Montero Match... is 'infinitely' more exciting than watching Gino Montero beat up James Hernandez!! But if you insist on joining me at Mid Summer Madness... Sign on the line, Gringo!!”

Hernandez wasn't best pleased with the comment, but he signed anyway... and then tipped the table over and onto Gino's lap!!

As Gino rose to his feet, Hernandez exploded out of the corner to deliver his 'Apparition #14' Spear, and take Gino down!!

Peter Michaels: “Good GOD what a spear!! That is one of the most brutal moves in the company gentlemen, but that one was more brutal than ever!!”

Adrian Garcia: “James Hernandez manipulated the situation here... He manipulated Gino, and goaded him into a fight... He knew exactly what he was doing!”

Tom Townsend: “It was a plan he hatched on the fly too Garcia... If the Stone Brothers had been out here, this wouldn't have gone down like this... and he has his tag team partner from last week: Aaron Andrews to thank for that...”

Peter Michaels: “Do you think it was on the fly? Or do you think Andrews and Hernandez were in cahoots all along?!”

Tom Townsend: “Good question Michaels... I'd say on the fly... Hernandez is smooth talking... He's got the gift of the gab, but he's also a VERY intelligent young man!!”

'Cut Throat'
Trent Shaffer
[vs] 'The Saviour of Wrestling'
Jonathan Faust

A great contest here, in which the two men in their mid-thirties told a fascinating story. Trent Shaffer attempted to break Jonathan Faust's staff by snapping it over his knee early on in the match, and Faust was furious! They brawled a little, and then Faust slammed Shaffer head first into the corner turnbuckle. The fight continued with Faust in control, until Shaffer collided with the referee during his comeback. Faust saw the opportunity, and almost broke his staff over the back of Shaffer's head! He then made some space, before unleashing with 'The Rod' as the referee came to.

Winner:
'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust

Finish:
'The Rod' (Running Knee)

Ace In The Hole

WYUVp50.jpg

Dan Stone Jr. stomped to the ring next, and grabbed a microphone... He called Aaron Andrews out, and 'The Ace' arrived on the stage...

WvpX9mr.jpg

Andrews seemed surprised to have been called onto the stage, and pointed at himself while looking around shrugging...

Dan Stone Jr.:
“Don't gimme that crap Andrews... You know why you're out here... You've been promising to bring NOTBPW down... You've said you're coming after us, and now you attacked my Brother Jeremy... So what do you want...!!!”

Andrews was still shocked... He asked where the proof was that the attacker was him... The word of Jeremy Stone is not enough!!

Aaron Andrews:
“Jeremy Stone's word has never been worth a damn in my opinion... But what I WANT... since you asked... is a MATCH... against YOU... At Mid Summer Madness!!”

Dan accepted the challenge, and we are ON for Mid Summer Madness!!

Teaming Up Again

0O80pXO.jpg6j66AjX.jpg

Backstage, Ernest Youngman and Wade Orson were talking about their tag team together... They've teamed eight times in the past...

Ernest Youngman:
“Hey man... We're teaming up again next week... I'm looking forward to another great match... and a great year... and hopefully we get another crack at the Ed Henson Memorial Cup next year!!”

Orson smiled, but as Youngman turned away, his smile turned to a frown... He wasn't exactly happy at the thought of teaming with Youngman again it seems...

Local Enhancement Talent
[vs]
El Fuego
w/ Faith

Much like Spencer Spade in recent weeks, El Fuego got a lot of help at ringside during this match. The help from Faith was all verbal, but she shouted on her encouragements to help make sure El Fuego scored a win. He hit his 'Iniciador de Fuego' Code Breaker on 7 minutes.

More Than One Client

XHsJIUA.jpg

Backstage an absolutely seething Spencer Spade was shown watching his manager Faith with another of her clients, El Fuego!!

Fuego and Spade have been in a rivalry for months now, ever since Spade arrived in NOTBPW... He doesn't trust the masked flier...

rXBD9rb.jpg

NOTBPW All Action Champion KC Glenn rocked up next... to say a few words to Spade...

KC Glenn:
“Listen, Spade... I wanted to say I appreciated your comments about me and my match with El Fuego last week... I respect you too, and I'm aware you're an excellent in-ring talent...”

Spade rolled his eyes again... and then shoved Glenn backwards!! The All Action Champion fell over a chair, and landed hard into some lockers!!

Gear and clothes fell on top of him, and he looked hurt by the fall and the collision!! He shot up quickly, but Spade had already fled the scene!!

Coast To Coast Most Wanted

tcvFxhG.jpgKrvshb6.jpggBSn5Vu.jpg

In their usual drinking spot, the Coast To Coast Connection were sat playing cards and nursing beers and cigars...

Sayeed Ali's NOTBPW Television Title Belt had its own seat as usual... and Ali lead the conversation between him, Ross Henry and Lenny Brown...

Sayeed Ali:
“So Jacob Jett and Seeker both want a shot at me...?! I guess that makes ME the 'World's Most Wanted'...”

Brown and Henry laughed like hyenas, and slapped their knees... Ali told his boys that they don't need to worry about Jett though...

Because next week, he will BEAT 'The Amazing' Jacob Jett 1 on 1... and he WON'T get added to the Title Match at Mid Summer Madness!!

Primed For Progress
(Cameron Vessey and Christian Price) [vs]
POISON & Prometheus

This match represented a huge opportunity for POISON and Prometheus, against the four time and current NOTBPW Tag Team Champions. They looked like they were closing in on a victory, having isolated and controlled Cameron Vessey, but 'The Second Generation Star' had managed to hit a spinning kick to POISON, and he was crawling towards Christian Price. But Price's legs got taken out from underneath him by the arriving Edd Stone!! The referee called for a disqualification!!

Iron And Stone Cause Mayhem

Edd Stone had brought Tim Westybrook with him, and they attacked their former friends Primed For Progress!!

Westybrook was then jumped by POISON, and Prometheus hit his 'God Chop' on Edd Stone!! Stone was knocked out, but Westybrook kept fighting!!

Primed For Progress regrouped, and watched on as a FOURTH tag team arrived for the fight!!

kC1LVum.jpgp0JUxPp.jpg

Aldous Blackfriar, with his 'muscle' Mutant in tow, ran to the ring to join the 'Mayhem'... and they went right after Primed For Progress!!

Mutant and Prometheus then fronted up to one another, and an epic battle of the beasts took place!!

Aldous Blackfriar and POISON were the only two who could break it up, but the monsters wanted to tare each other apart!!

The announce team called for someone to get control of the tag team division, otherwise this is going to keep happening!!

We transitioned into the same hype video we've seen for a few weeks... The numbers counted down from TWENTY to ELEVEN!!

No clues who the silhouetted bull represents... But the words 'They're Coming' make people think it's more than one person!!

And since the video aired after the same group of tag teams as last week, it HAS to be a tag team debuting!!

With the tag team division as strong as we've just seen, a new addition would make it one of the strongest in the world!!

If the countdown continues at this pace, we should find out who the bull represents next week?!

'The Barbadian Barbarian'
Donte Dunn
[vs] 'Wild Man'
Jack DeColt

A rare opportunity to Main Event NOTBPW Television here for Donte Dunn, and he snatched that opportunity with both hands! Jack DeColt represented a very difficult challenge for Dunn, but the fun-loving 'Barbadian Barbarian' seemed to relish it. He was the aggressor early on as Jack took a number of much needed breathers on the outside of the ring. Dunn got a little too confident at one point, and Jack was able to take control. He kept Dunn in close, and dictated the pace of the match. They brawled on the outside of the ring at one point, and Dunn held his own against the 'Wild Man'. For the finish though, the more experienced Jack was able to pull Dunn's hair as he attempted his 'Sunny Daze' spinning back fist. Jack then powered Dunn up for his 'End Of Days'!

'Wild Man' Jack DeColt

The Magic Of The Pre-Tape

i8ZqNob.jpgNluC4dT.jpg

In a pre-taped video, Tom Gilmore appeared on the screen... and Jack DeColt remained in the ring to watch it...

'Angry' Gilmore was sat in his garage as usual, and told Jack DeColt that he had been watching last week, when Jack attacked John Maverick...

Tom Gilmore:
“So the John Maverick Retirement Tour is on hold for the near future... possibly forever... I told you that I was enjoying the Tour, and now the Tour is off... What did you think I was going to do Jack...?! Well... What I did... Was record this show... In case I miss something... Because I didn't want to watch it live...”

Out of nowhere, Gilmore arrived BEHIND Jack DeColt in the ring!! He waited for Jack to slowly turn around, and then tackled the 'Wild Man' at the knees!!

Jack landed hard on the mat, and Gilmore began to tie him up, while delivering stiff right hands to Jack's temple!!

Jack tried to cover up, but more punches were getting through than weren't... But the big DeColt Brother was able to get his feet underneath Gilmore...

He kicked Gilmore backwards, and then kicked and wriggled his way out under the bottom rope...!!

Gilmore decided not to give chase, instead, he grabbed a microphone...

Tom Gilmore:
“You want me at Mid Summer Madness...?! You're ON!!”

Jack DeColt wanted Tom Gilmore at Mid Summer Madness... But the announce team weren't sure he wanted
'Angry'
Tom Gilmore!!

Peter Michaels: “So it's official gentlemen... Tom Gilmore will return to the ring, to battle Jack DeColt at Mid Summer Madness!”

Adrian Garcia: “Jack did what he said he was going to do... He got Gilmore out of obscurity, and the 'Angry' veteran has the 'Wild Man' in his sights now!!”

Tom Townsend: “Mid Summer Madness is shaping up to be the biggest even in YEARS guys...!! We have Steve DeColt versus Gargantuan... Gino Montero versus James Hernandez... Dan Stone Jr. versus Aaron Andrews... and now Tom Gilmore versus Jack DeColt!!”

Peter Michaels: “It's a quadruple Main Event gentlemen, and I for one think they are all HUGE matches... All that's left for me to say, is stay safe, and we'll see you next week!!”

That smooth mover Sammy Bach didn't take long... Three weeks into his SWF Contract, and he's already begun dating on screen manager Krissy Angelle!! Bach used to date SWF colour commentator Emma Chase, and she is thought to be 'fine' with the situation...

Former NOTBPW Employee Bryan Vessey made his WLW debut this week, and it was a HUGE success... He beat Nichiren Amagawa in the Main Event of their LuchaResu show and pulled an impressive 93! The show was boosted to an 84 overall, making it their highest rated episode since January, where three of the four shows were 85 and above...

<p>Local Enhancement Talent [vs] <strong>El Fuego w/ Faith</strong></p><p>

<em>The rub continues...</em></p><p> </p><p>

'The Man Without Fear' Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>'The Saviour of Wrestling' Jonathan Faust</strong></p><p>

<em>I went back and forth here. Faust's win last week could be to pass the momentum to Wildside here. But I think Faust is working to a MSM match, and this is another chance for him to get a solid win.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>'The Amazing' Jacob Jett</strong> [vs] 'Notorious' Sayeed Ali w/ The CTC</p><p>

<em>The triple threat stip looms large here, and I think that a DQ win gets Jett into the match at MSM.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Dan & Robin DaLay [vs] <strong>The CanAm Blondes (Owen Love & The Natural)</strong></p><p>

<em>I hope the DaLays become a thing. The father/son combo would be great for stories, and Dan could teach Robin a thing or two along the way. But they lose here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Donte Dunn & Akima Brave [vs] <strong>Wade Orson & ????</strong></p><p>

<em>The other one I flipped my initial prediction. I think the Brave/Dunn story is minor, but Orson has been hot since coming back and has a shot for a good MSM match.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>'Magnificent' Gino Montero</strong> [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews</p><p>

<em>This could be a barn burner. I could see this being a funny win for Andrews with a Hernandez distraction or something like that. But I am sticking with Gino for now.</em></p>
