We got straight into the action after the announce team welcomed everyone to the show, as Tom Gilmore and Jack DeColt began to brawl backstage. Gilmore didn't want to wait for his match to officially begin, so he started it himself in Jack's locker room! Referees arrived on the scene with backstage officials and NOTBPW Match Maker Dark Angel, who declared that this match was indeed underway. Gilmore and DeColt threw each other into walls and Gilmore then went through a door as the brawl took itself into the hallway. Gilmore was thrown through a second door, and the door snapped clean in half as the two competitors found themselves in the men's communal locker room! Solomon Gold, Sonny Wildside, Ernest Youngman and The Ring Generals scattered and got out of there. Jack grabbed someone's gym bag and began strangling his rival with the handle. Things got brutal as Gilmore's face turned a dark shade of purple but he refused to tap. Jack then decided to drag Gilmore to the ring by his foot. Gilmore was almost unconscious, and couldn't fight back. His head bounced off the floor over and over again while he tried to regain his composure.

As Jack got to ringside, it was clear he had a plan. He reached under the apron, and pulled out Tom Gilmore's hammer with a blue handle! 'The Wild Man' began choking Gilmore with the handle of the hammer, and again the veteran fought hard. This time, he was able to flip Jack over into the corner and he landed upside down. The hammer lay next to Gilmore, but he pushed it out of the ring under the ropes, and fell out of the ring with it. Gilmore decided to set up a table, and the crowd loved it. But he hadn't taken Jack out enough, and 'The Wild Man' was soon back on top of Gilmore! He reigned down punches, with Gilmore struggling to cover up. Jack then went for his most trusted weapon: the steel chain! Slowly, and deliberately, Jack wrapped the chain around his fist and waited for Gilmore to get up. As Jack went for the knock out punch, Gilmore caught his arm and dropped into the 'Anger Management' Arm Bar!! Jack didn't tap out, but he screamed in agony. Gilmore released the chain from his fist, and threw it over his head to the outside of the ring. Jack used the opportunity to wriggle free and escape under the bottom rope. From the apron, Jack reached over the top rope and stood on the bottom one. But Gilmore pulled out a brilliantly timed Stunner, that along with the bottom rope, caused Jack to spring up high, and fall back through the table on the outside of the ring! Gilmore just had to crawl and drop out of the ring and fall into the cover to score a big win!

Two tag teams at very different stages of their careers here. The duo of former Elite members in CGC; Dan DaLay and John Maverick were teaming for the final time in NOTBPW as John Maverick's 'Retirement Tour' continues towards an eventual end. Meanwhile the Sons Of Anarchy; Logan DeColt and Robin DaLay are just getting started here. Robin recently turned on his Father Dan, and joined forces with the cocky and brash son of former NOTBPW General Manager Alex DeColt. Logan may be a DeColt by name, but he's also a DaLay, as his mother is Romy DaLay, the sister of Dan DaLay! It was the younger pairing that had the better of this match in the end. They isolated Maverick, not allowing the veteran to tag Dan into the contest. When the big man finally did get in, he seemed conflicted. He looked like he couldn't hit his son and his nephew as hard as he would normally hit an opponent, despite the way they've treated him in recent months. Going 'easy' on his opponents would cost him in the end, as he was put down with the finishing move HE made famous. The 'DaLay Down' headbutt by Robin DaLay was enough to earn the youngsters the victory.

Not Your Fault

With a tear in his eye, Dan DaLay tried to apologise to John Maverick for causing him to LOSE his final NOTBPW Pay-per-view Match...

But Maverick wouldn't accept his apology... He put his hands on DaLay's shoulders, and told him it wasn't his fault...

The crowd gave the two legendary competitors a standing ovation... and began a 'THANK YOU MAVER-ICK' chant...

'The Silent Threat' will compete for the final time, this week on NOTBPW Television... as he goes 1 on 1 with 'Angry' Tom Gilmore!!

A short match, and a very one-sided affair. Prometheus used his size and strength advantage to keep Aldous Blackfriar at bay. The fan favourite 'Dark Watch' was no match for the 'Dark Shadow', particularly as the big man had POISON in his corner! POISON barely had to get involved at all, but when he did, he was ruthlessly effective. Aldous had hit a couple of low dropkicks to try and chop Prometheus down. But when he headed to the top rope, POISON leapt into action and shoved Aldous off and onto his back! The referee didn't see it, but he was on hand to count to three after Prometheus hit his 'God Chop' finisher.

One Of Us Now

At the request of POISON, Prometheus scooped Aldous Blackfriar's lifeless body up from the mat and hoisted him onto his shoulders...

Prometheus carried Aldous to the back, as POISON stated that Aldous was 'One Of Us' now...

With Mutant not around, Aldous is all alone in NOTBPW right now... and he's no match for POISON and the imposing Prometheus...

Two teams with a genuine hatred for each other did battle here, for the NOTBPW Tag Team Titles. It was Edd Stone who screwed over former 'Animals' member Bryan Vessey, who is the Uncle of Cameron Vessey. Cameron and Christian Price split from The Animals after Stone caused Vessey to lose his job in NOTBPW, but 'The Enforcer' Tim Westybrook stayed loyal to Edd. Since Primed For Progress (Vessey and Price) won the Titles, they've faced a number of challenges, but Iron And Stone was by far their toughest. Not only is Tim Westybrook a big, strong, competitor, but Edd Stone knows exactly which buttons to press. He toys with the emotions of his opponents; causing them to get angry beyond words. Vessey and Price fell right into that trap, as Edd constantly mocked them, and Vessey's Uncle Bryan. Edd was able to use Price's momentum against him at one point, and he sent 'The Stud' out through the ropes. But the agile Price landed on his feet, and delivered a 'Stud Stopper' Stunner to Tim Westybrook! Vessey was neutralised by a super kick from Stone in the ring, but he didn't see Price slide in behind him to deliver his 'Stud Stopper' Stunner again, and retain the Gold!

One More Run

After the match, The CanAm Blondes strolled to the ring... The veteran pair looked cocky and arrogant to begin with...

However, the usually dislikeable Owen Love and The Natural became suddenly likeable, even if only for tonight...

Owen Love:
“Listen boys... We're not out here for any trouble... We're out here, because respectfully, we want to ask for... an opportunity at those NOTBPW Tag Team Titles...”

The Natural:
“Yeah look... We're not getting any younger... But we think... That we got ONE MORE RUN in us... So that we can equal the record number of reigns, currently held by The Dallas Brothers... at FIVE!!”

Both The CanAm Blondes AND Primed For Progress have four reigns each... So the record is up for grabs...

Cameron Vessey and Christian Price didn't want anything to do with the challenge of the Blondes... and they left the ring...

Love and Natural looked a little disappointed by the reaction of the Champs... and the crowd seemed on their side...

The NOTBPW Tag Team Division continues to grow in stature, and these two new teams are a testament to that. Hotstuff had a great run in the Ed Henson Memorial Tag Team Cup, but they returned to the Developmental company to continue their rise in Canada once it was finished. The Rebel Pirates are two well-travelled competitors who came together after a mutual dis-like of Ernest Youngman! Wade Orson and Trent Shaffer attempted to isolate Jay B in their corner, but the British brawler has a history of having his back against the wall and fighting his way out of trouble! The former boxer used big right hands combined with his quickness, to work his way back into his corner. He made the tag to Buff Martinez, and the Spaniard came in and managed to fight off both of his opponents. For the finish, Martinez dropped down to his knees to cause a malfunction at the junction between Orson and Shaffer, as the overzealous Shaffer hit a lariat on Orson by mistake, and the Brit fell hard out of the ring. Shaffer checked on his partner and as he turned around, he walked onto an 'El K.O' from Martinez. Martinez then tagged Jay B in, before flying through the ropes to take Orson down with a suicide dive. Jay B then hit his brutal 'Cash Crash' on Shaffer, and the win was theirs!

Match Explained

We took a close look at how the next match, tonight's Main Event Maple Leaf Mayhem Match, will be contested...

We're going to see two teams of five... Team Gino Montero/Steve DeColt versus Team James Hernandez...

The match will feature NO disqualifications... and Falls Count Anywhere... with all ten competitors being legal at the same time...

It will be contested under Iron Man Rules... Meaning the team who gains the most falls in 30 minutes, wins...

Once the Rules were explained, the ten competitors began to make their way to the ring...!!

Fall One...

We began with all ten men in the ring. Five on either side of the ring, staring at each other as the opening bell rang. James Hernandez told his men to stay back, and let their opponents come to them. It didn't take long for Jacob Jett to oblige. The NOTBPW Television Champion flew at his former tag team partner Seeker, and took his rival down at the knees. Everyone else stood and watched at first, until all hell broke loose! Steve DeColt and Luis Montero Jr. paired off and went to the outside, as did Gino Montero and James Hernandez. KC Glenn and Spencer Spade made their way to the stage, as the two youngsters continued their feud that began when Spade took Glenn's NOTBPW All Action Championship at Mid Summer Madness! They brawled through the curtain and we didn't cut back to them for a while. In the ring, the cocky 'Ace' Aaron Andrews was having his way with Donte Dunn. But he got too confident, and walked onto a 'Sunny Daze' spinning back fist!! Dunn fell into the cover, and Team Gino/DeColt picked up the first fall!

Fall Two...

James Hernandez climbed half-way into the ring, and pulled the lifeless Aaron Andrews out of it. He regrouped with Luis Montero Jr., and told his troops in no uncertain terms that their start was unacceptable. Then suddenly, Donte Dunn flew over the ropes and took Andrews out again, getting a bit of Luis Montero in the process, and sending the Mexican brawler into the guard rail. This allowed James Hernandez, who had ducked out of the way, to create some space and unleash with his 'Apparition #14' Spear and almost cut Dunn in half! Hernandez went for the cover, but Gino Montero made the save with a dropkick to Hernandez's face! We quickly cut backstage, to where KC Glenn and Spencer Spade's fight had made its way back towards the stage. The referee with them was beginning to put surgical gloves on and we quickly saw why. Glenn's head was busted wide open, and Spade was relentless in attacking the cut just above Glenn's eyebrow. As they came through the curtain, Glenn staggering out first, one of Spade's partners: Seeker was on hand to deliver the killer blow to Glenn. A chair shot to the face sent the youngster sprawling, and Spade landed in the cover to even things up!

Fall Three...

Chaos ensued next, as Jacob Jett joined the fight on the stage. He was armed though, as he carried a CHEESE GRATER!! The same cheese grater that Seeker had used on him in their First Blood match back at Glory!! Seeker backed away, as did Spencer Spade, and Jett helped KC Glenn to his feet. But the fan favourite took his eye off Spade, who set upon Jett with a flurry of fists. Seeker joined in, and they took 'The Amazing' Jett down to a knee. Seeker then hit a Shining Wizard that looked like it chipped Jett's tooth! Blood certainly began leaking from Jett's mouth! Seeing two of his teammates battered and bloodied, Steve DeColt arrived on the stage at this point. He hit his 'DeColt Stampede' on Seeker, and sent the veteran into the stage wall, causing a loud bang and crash! Spencer Spade then ran from the big DeColt Brother. 'The Supreme' Spade had been the man to attack Steve in the Super Slam Rumble, and this was Steve's chance at revenge. He eventually caught up to Spade, and locked him in a deep sleeper!! Spade tapped and tapped, but Steve kept the hold on until the youngster passed out!

Fall Four...

On noticing his team were down 2 to 1, James Hernandez sprung into action. He cut Donte Dunn in half with another 'Apparition #14', and this made it 3 on 1 at ringside. Gino Montero was up against Hernandez, Aaron Andrews, and his own brother Luis Montero Jr.! The 'Magnificent' Mexican fought bravely, but he was taken down by a running cross body from Andrews! But again, Steve DeColt was on hand to help even up the numbers. He brought KC Glenn with him, despite Glenn's inability to stand up without swaying due to the tremendous amount of blood he had lost. Glenn didn't put up much of a fight against Luis Montero, but Steve DeColt more than held his own against Hernandez and Andrews, despite being outnumbered! A chop block from behind by Andrews, followed by a spinning kick to the side of the head from Luis Montero Jr. took Steve down, and as he rose, he was met with the second biggest 'Apparition #14' Spear of the night from James Hernandez!! (The biggest spear was still to come...)!! The NOTBPW Canadian Champion waved Andrews and Montero Jr. away, wanting to make the pin himself. But when DeColt kicked out at 2, he changed his tactic! This time, he demanded that Luis and Andrews climbed on, and the three men pinned DeColt to even things up once again!

Fall Five...

The momentum was completely on the side of Team Hernandez now... KC Glenn was a bloody mess, and had to receive treatment at ringside; we still don't know how that happened but the chair shot from Seeker didn't help! Donte Dunn had taken two spears from James Hernandez, and Steve DeColt was taken out too. This left Gino Montero to fend off four men, as Seeker was down and out from Team Hernandez. Suddenly though, Gino got some help in the form of the NOTBPW Television Champion: Jacob Jett!! Jett flew over the top rope and landed on Luis Montero Jr.! He then began kicking anything that moved, and came close to making a name for himself by pinning James Hernandez! But 'Mr. Main Event' kicked out, and managed to grab Jett's leg in the process. Jett was a sitting duck now, as Spencer Spade delivered what can only be described as the 'knock out blow'. Spade's boot connected with the side of Jett's face in a move similar to Steve DeColt's 'DeColt Stampede', and it looked like it knocked Jett's remaining teeth out. It certainly knocked

out! Spade easily covered his victim, and for the first time in the match, Team Hernandez were in front... With just FIVE minutes to go in the match!!

Fall Six...

The final five minutes were slow paced, as all ten men in the match were exhausted. Most of them had taken finishing moves from their opponents, and a couple were losing blood. In fact, at this point KC Glenn was a shade of white a human being just should not be!! Team Hernandez had rallied around their leader 'Mainstream' James Hernandez, and he now had his full team of five IN the ring. Hernandez knew that Team Gino/DeColt needed a fall to even things up, and he had a plan. The tactic was 'King Of The Mountain'. He forced members of the opposing team to attempt to get into the ring, and then set upon them with two of his soldiers. KC Glenn, Donte Dunn and Jacob Jett all fell victim to vicious strikes that sent them flying off the apron to the floor below. As Steve DeColt climbed onto the edge of the ring though, Hernandez told his troops to back off, and let the veteran in. Steve begged for a 5 on 1 fight and the members of Team Hernandez licked their lips like a pack of hungry wolves! Before they could advance though, the pack of five wolves went down to four, as Gino Montero cracked a steel chair off the back of James Hernandez!! The NOTBPW Canadian Champion dropped to his knees, and then fell flat on his face as his teammates didn't know what to do. Now leaderless, they were up against the two most dangerous members of their opposing team.

They still outnumbered the fan favourites 4 to 2, but that didn't stop Gino Montero and Steve DeColt. 'Magnificent' Gino and 'The Outsider' Steve DeColt delivered strikes and kicks that an MMA fighter would have been proud of in their attempts to take members of Team Hernandez out. Everything they went for they landed, and it looked for all the world that they were going to score a pin. Time was running out though, and with every kick out at 2, things looked more desperate. Gino Montero then went on the rampage!! He hit his 'Destiny Explosion' (Canadian Destroyer) on Spencer Spade, and then hit another one on Seeker. However, when he had his brother Luis Montero Jr. in position, he hesitated. Luis dropped down to his knees, and held Gino's legs tightly. Gino tried to fight his way free but when he looked up, James Hernandez was there to deliver a giant 'Apparition #14'. The biggest spear of the night. Gino landed on the back of his head, and bounced so far that he fell into the ropes and dropped to the mat in the corner! Steve DeColt, who had hold of Aaron Andrews in a sleeper hold, was completely stunned! He let go of Andrews, and lined 'The Ace' up for his 'DeColt Stampede', but Luis Montero Jr. managed to get in between them and bundle Steve out through the ropes. Hernandez then picked up Gino's lifeless body, and delivered a super kick to the former Canadian Champion!! Gino hit the mat again, and Hernandez landed in the cover. This time nobody was kicking out, least of all Gino Montero, and Team Hernandez made it 4-2 with just a few seconds to spare!!

Victorious After Mayhem

After the match was over, the five members of Team Hernandez returned to the ring, and stood alongside their captain...

James Hernandez was handed his NOTBPW Canadian Title Belt, and Spencer Spade his All Action Title Belt...

The five men had sick, sadistic smiles on their faces... and looked as if they knew they were going to win all along...

**NOTE**

Those of you who followed my last NOTBPW/CGC Diary will know that it ended after an epic Maple Leaf Mayhem Match!!

That was a great way to end that diary, as all of the stories came to an end... Even though I had plans for after, it made sense...

You'll (hopefully) be pleased to know that for this diary, I really feel like I'm just getting started!!

Sad news coming out of SWF this weekend... Main Event talent Sammy Bach has been found dead at his home... Early reports suggest a drug overdose, but these details are still being confirmed... After becoming Wrestler Of The Year in 2016, and a lengthy run as TCW World Heavyweight Champion in 2017, Bach was offered the chance to join 'the big boys' in USPW... His employment there lasted just six months, during which time, almost all of his former TCW colleagues were killed in a tragic plane crash... He then signed for the other big company in the USA, SWF, where he immediately jumped into a new relationship with his manager Krissy Angelle! His ex-girlfriend Emma Chase has today come out and spoken to TMZ, suggesting that Bach indulged a little too much in the rock star life since joining her in SWF... She said the people who really knew him saw this coming, but that Bach did a great job of hiding his demons from most of the wrestling world... particularly the fans... Bach's death is a huge loss to the US wrestling scene, and wrestling as a whole... Thoughts are with his friends and family at this sad time...

I read that note at the end wrong at first and thought this was the end of the save. Thank god it's not though because it's a really good dynasty and another really good show tonight.

While the rating wasn't great for that main event, it was fantastic to read and sounds like it would be awesome to watch. Keep it up man
