I know we are past some suggestions but I had a thought today about how your companies hall of fame is purely cosmetic and there had to be a way to make it mean *something*. What I came up with was inducting someone gives them a large morale boost (maybe a bit smaller depending on personality). It could also be a way to fix a bad relationship as the wrestler could see the induction as a sign of respect. Furthermore, the wrestler could completely reject the induction all together if they had a bad relationship with the company, like a hatred with the owner. Also, if a wrestler feels like he should have been inducted by a certain time and hasn't, it could cause a negative relationship (he could think of it as being snubbed. ) All of it would have to do with personality, relationships and a bit of randomness. Just some thoughts I've had to make that part of the game actually mean something.

Maybe there could be RNG created news stories that pop up, revealing exact contract lengths for workers? That's kinda how it is in real life, isn't it? It's the dirt sheets that cover this stuff.

Then for ease have something on the worker profile page such as "Contract Details" with options like "Available/Unknown". Then you can access some information if they have options on what is available. Contract Length, Whether Company or Worker have said they wont resign, contract value, contract perks. With some traits making it more likely that information gets shared.

Edit: It could have like a chance to roll when contracts are first signed and then when tension builds between Owner/Booker & Workers as well as a random event.

Why not? Is it not common knowledge in wrestling when contracts end? Marty Scurll, Revival, Matt Hardy, the list goes on.

It's not common knowledge when contracts are specifically over. WWE and AEW don't make the terms of their contracts public, the sheets post what they know, but as a general rule I can't look up the specific length of someone's contract -- we only know it is up when they start negotiating or turn down a deal. For instance, we know around when Adam Cole signed his contract -- we at least know when it was announced, but we don't know the specific length of time he is signed for. When Moxley signed with AEW all we got was that he signed a multi-year deal. We don't know if it is a two year deal or a three year deal or even a four year.

So I don't feel we should have the specific knowledge of when someone's contract is up until they are within the renegotiation window. Once they've hit that window -- sure -- but otherwise, it leaves some mystery just like we have in real life.

I don't see why we aren't supposed to know. WMMA let's you view everyone's contract details' date=' including when they're up.[/quote']

This is because in Mixed Martial Arts fighters sign for a specific number of fights, wrestling contracts work differently. You may get a four-fight contract, etc... So the contracts just work differently than in wrestling.

looking forward to playing TEW2020 on my Lenovo Flex to get through my graveyard shifts.

Lenovo brothers! I have a Lenovo Yoga that has been great for over 2 years. I dropped it & did some pixel damage to the top corner so now it is always brighter on that side of the screen but it's still an awesome laptop for me.

Also Glad to see Adam confirmed you could see the contract duration on any company screen. I really like that.

Just thinking about it, in 2016 does having a strong relationship with a wrestler in another company help you when doing contract negotiations? Say he's working for WCW with no loyalty to the company. His contract comes up & he has a strong relationship with you "The owner of the company" & you offer him 21,000$ for his contract but WCW offers him 23,000$. Benefits & contract length are the same on both sides. Does him liking us make him more likely to sign with us?

Workers have always taken their relationships with others workers into consideration when handling negotiations, being more willing to sign with places that have their friends on the roster and less willing to sign places with their enemies on the roster. There's no exact dollar amount on it though since it's always varied by worker personalities, overness, company size etc.... but it's there. It's why it can be very hard to get someone like Champagne Lover away from SOTBPW in TEW16, because he's already super over in his area, tends to build a lot of positive relationships in the company and is figurehead for the company too.

<p>This probably seems like a silly thing to care about as it’s probably one of the least important aspects of the game, but I like how much time is seemingly going into new interface graphics. I love the game and am not really all about graphics but I can’t help but think about how dated TEW2016 looks when I load it up after Football Manager!</p><p> </p><p>

Not long now, looking forward to it. Should probably start thinking about designing some logos and whatnot for my first game. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

In layman's terms, it sounds like modifications convert from TEW16 to TEW20 pretty well but as always, there will be some work for modification makers to do to ensure all the new features work correctly. I've read through the features list more times than I can count and it doesn't SEEM like any of the additions will be conversion-impacting to the point of breaking a mod. I mean, TEW 2013 mods converted to TEW 2016 were fully playable. It just didn't make full use of some of the new additions, and the game world did funky things because of the broadcaster changes.</p>

I must ask this, after seeing the regions already made and what is left to do on Adam's recent journal updates...what happened to India? Not that I will miss it if it got scrapped, as something covering (more) different parts of Asia and expanding some of the already existing regions would be nicer, but a new region is better than none. Plus India is fertile territory for some interesting concepts, especially in recent mods.

And I did not see it mentioned recently. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned as an upcoming region for this iteration of TEW, was it not?

If I remember correctly, when Australia was added is was pretty much a wasteland that was there to develop. I bet India will be very much the same.</p>

When they added Australia did they act like it was an expansion team where new history and new everything or did they act like it had its own history and been their for years.

Figure they will do that with India

Australia got built out to have had a wrestling scene that had gone silent and was revitalized with APW.

Not exactly gone silent, more like full of minor, short-lived promotions not really worth mentioning. APW's description, if I remember correctly, mentions that it started as an attempt to unite some of the smaller companies into one big promotion. I'm guessing India will be similar, with local shows that never made it out of their hometown until now.

That be cool. Can't wait to see the new wrestlers
