What's Going on in Your Game?

Unless Your company gets bigger than the other he works on, he will still go there when booked, leaving u without his presence. Try to bring your events in days where his other company doesn't have anything booked.

That's just it, CZCW DIDN'T have anything booked on the day of that show, because they never have shows on the same day as NYCW.  The AI keeps booking him to other COTT feds, despite me having already booked him.

So the issue is yours.  The AI does this in advance so it shows on your Availability screen. Just move your show?

There shouldn't BE an issue.  I'd arranged the booking at the beginning of that month, so he shouldn't be taking bookings the night before the show given he already had one.

Surely all you have actually done is get him on a single appearance COTT? What the AI does after that is inconsequential.

What I can't say is why the other booking is given priority. That's likely down to size.  All seems quite reasonable, based on the information given.

Check your availability,  move your show if needed.  Seems straightforward enough.

Size matters, he will always suit up with the bigger company. You have to move the show.

Sadly, the match isn't technically booked until the night of the show. The advance booking is more of a organizational tool for the user than a true booking mechanic. This would be a great idea for the suggestion forum though.

I deleted a thread i started at General Discussions after @Jaysin suggested me this thread, thank you. So this is what I wrote there.

This is the Dinasties forum thread of my company:

Global Entertainment Wrestling (CVerse 20)

The current situation of GEW is this:

- We are in the Season 4 (Year 2023 in game) in GEW history.

- GEW has progressed from a Small company (25 pop in North West at start) and starting funds of $2.5M to Medium size company and is currently the #7 company in the world and #3 in USA earning a lot of money each month (last year we finished with $3M but this year the amount will be significantly higher).

- In Season 4, SWF is the most popular company in the world, with TCW second, while USPW has gone through a handful of disgraces and its future looks very dark although they somehow managed to avoid bankruptcy, they are in debt and are still #3 in the world but #4 in USA behind GEW. At the end of each year I release the popularity and economic stats if someone is interested.

- We are in an alliance, GWA (Global Wrestling Alliance) with ACPW, CILL, EX2010 and FCW. All of them have grown to Medium size too, except FCW, which is now a Developmental Company of GEW, as I bought them when they were heavily in debt.

- GEW started hiring some of the best wrestlers in small companies (Nelson Callum, Ernest Youngman, Frederique...) and free agents or wrestlers set to leave (like Koshiro Ino). As the company grew we began to compete for some 'stars' hiring Chris Flynn, Roger Cage, Steven Parker, Kirk Jameson...

Right now GEW is entering a phase where competing with the biggest companies is not that far and signing big names is getting easier. As the core product is World Fusion and the aim of the company is to become a 'Global' company it feels natural to add talents from anywhere and is part of the spirit to combine wrestlers with different origins and styles, that is also a strategy to make things easier to add good wrestlers as almost nobody is out of the box.

I thought it would be difficult to continue the story at this point, as I've never gone that deep in the game, but I'm surprised that so many possible paths are opening right now and also the young prospects I have at FCW are looking very promising, I'd say more promising than the ones SWF and TCW have.

I'm also interested if anyone have any advice about these topics:

· Any strategies to reduce the gap between your company and those giants (in this game SWF and TCW) and be able to compete, when you are getting closer. For example, would you invest in a Performance Center when you've got the money or continue to hire the best possible wrestlers?

· Any possible problems when you've gone that far in the game

Running a "Tiny" (23 Pop and growing) company in the South West in the C-Verse. About to end Year 4. GSW and IPW just became "Medium" and raided 50% of my fed, including ALL my top draws, except Jack Avatar for obvious reasons lol. What a way of refreshing my Roster and storylines!!!

Now I am scouring the Free Agent pool to see what it can be of help out there!

I can tell You, not much!

TNA Victory Road 2006!

One last victory lap for 2006…

Main Event: “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (C) vs. “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship- The last match in the trilogy between Styles and Daniels. The first one ending a 60 minute draw. The second one ending after Christian Cage interfered calling a double DQ. Daniels has expressed his doubts that can he beat even Styles, while AJ defeated Cage on the last Impact! Before Victory Road. Who will win? the “Phenomenal One” or the “Fallen Angel”?

Semi-Final/Grudge Match: Kurt Angle vs. “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage- A grudge match going all the way back to Unbreakable, when Cage with the help of Team Canada beat Angle to retain the NWA title. But when Cage attacked Styles & Daniels in their NWA title match, costing the fans and both men an conclusion of what started at Scarifice, Angle and TNA in general had enough! The following week, commissioners Dusty Rhodes & Roddy Piper announced that Kurt Angle would fight Christian Cage at Victory Road! But in the next week Cage, being slimy as he is, threatened for Team Canada to go on STRIKE if he didn’t get what he wanted! He wanted a NWA title match! So Rhodes & Piper can to an agreement that week that if Team Canada can win a 4 on 4 elimination match, Cage would get an NWA title shot the next Impact! And that Team Canada did! Cage would then LOSE his title match against Styles. So now can Cage survive a mauling from the Olympic Gold Medalist?

“The Leading Man” “The Viper” Randy Orton vs. “The Icon” Sting- This is all started after RKO Productions beat the team of  Jerry Lynn, Amazing Red, Ultimo Dragon, and Raven on Impact! Orton, who pinned Raven to win the match, said after that anyone who’s from that company in Georgia is a complete loser. Only to be interrupted by the Icon himself. But Orton didn’t take the warning, next week after beating Raven 1-on-1, He and the rest of his entourage attacked the former NWA Champion. But surprisingly, Sting comes out to save his fellow WCW alumni and a former rival (Sting and Raven had a feud when I first started the save in 2004). A week later Orton & Jarrett (RK-Jarrett) LOST to Raven & Sting, giving Orton his first loss in TNA! Sting then announces at Victory Road him and Orton will have at it! On the last show before Victory Road, Ultimo Dragon, Scott Steiner, Raven and Sting (all former WCW wrestlers) beat RKO Productions. Can the former “Legend Killer” take down “The Icon”? (Also no one has mentioned the fact that “The Director” Jeff Jarrett is also WCW. Funny right?)

Lance Storm (C) vs. Matt Sydal for the T̶N̶A̶ ̶X̶-̶D̶i̶v̶i̶s̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶h̶i̶p Canadian Light-Heavyweight Championship- After beating Elix Skipper at Scarifice, the following Impact! Storm announced that the TNA X-Division title is now the CANADIAN LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP?! The following week, Matt Sydal won a shot at the X-Division title in a 4-way. Can Sydal overcome the odds to get the X-Division championship back to TNA?

No Disqualifications Match: CM Punk vs. Kenny Omega [If Punk wins, he gets the SES, If Omega wins, Punk leaves TNA]- For almost the entire year, TNA has been locked in this rivalry between Punk, Steel, Cabana and The SES. We many turns, betrayals and now Cabana is out injured. Well, Punk wants to end it once and for all! After Omega refusing to fight to Punk multiple times, he finally budges after Punk keeps costing him matches. But Omega will fight him one condition! If Punk does he win, he gets the SES back. But if Omega wins, CM Punk is gone for good this time! Now we will see who finishes the war!

International Dream Match: “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe vs. “Dangerous K” Toshiaki Kawada- Samoa Joe continues his battles against Japan’s greatest wrestlers as he fights Toshiaki Kawada! Joe beat Minoru Suzuki & Yuji Nagata before this, and surprisingly, Kawada knocked Joe down on Impact! Can Dangerous K stop Joe’s rampage?

the Latin American Xchange (“The Notorious 187” Homicide & “Super Mex” Hernandez w/ Konnan) (C) vs. America’s Most Wanted (“The Cowboy” James Storm & “Wildcat Chris Harris) for the L.A.X. 5150 Latin American Tag Championship [If AMW Lose, They Must Disband]- After losing to the MCMG at Scarifice, AMW made a shocking announcement, they want a shot at the 5150 tag titles! But the next week L.A.X. refuses, before Konnan and AMW get into a debate of whether L.A.X. really want to help latino community, with Konnan sighting diversity and representation, and AMW saying L.A.X. just doesn’t want to face any tough teams. But Konnan keeps his answer as no, until Homicide and Hernandez say they aren’t cowards and if gringos want to get beat they can! But on one condition, AMW lose, they’re done as a team! AMW fearless as ever, accept! The following Impact! Storm pins the undefeated Hernandez in a singles match. Now, AMW stay together, or will L.A.X. disband one of TNA’s most iconic tag teams?

the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) (C) vs. Team Canada (Robert Roode & Eric Young) for the NWA World Tag Team Championship- Roode & Young has always been seen as Team Canada’s B-Team, but after Roode pinned Alex Shelley on Impact!, they requested a shot at the NWA World Tag Titles, which MCMG granted! Is it time for Roode & Young to finally step up?

*Any matches not mentioned will be shown on the card.

Talking Points:

-CHRISTOPHER DANIELS HAS FINALLY WON THE NWA WORLD TITLE!

-L.A.X. has defeated AMW, which AMW is over!

-Afterwards, James Storm brutally attacks Chris Harris!

-Roode & Young have won the NWA World Tag Team Championship!

-Randy Orton previews his latest movie!

-Rhodes & Piper announce two new tournaments similar to the X-Elevation! The Bound For Glory Tag and singles Series! They also announce the Knockouts are coming to TNA!

Thank you guys for enjoying TNA in 2006, as we now move on to 2007!

1992-2007, Wrestle Kingdom is on the horizon, just a few days left to sim. I'd like to go over the card!

IWGP Heavyweight: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kenta Kobashi (c)

Tanahashi would suffer two defeats to Kobashi in 2006, one in the New Japan Cup, and another in the G1. A year prior to that, Tanahashi would retain his title, and survive in a 60 minute draw against Kobashi, making their singles record 2-0-1 in favor of Kobashi. Tanahashi would vow to get back on track and would do so by winning the G1, well, Tanahashi would just do that. Although it isn't a secret, in their 8 encounters total (incl. tag/multi) Kobashi is 8-2-1. This is Tanahashi's worst record both singles and total since debuting. Not only that, but Kobashi winning Wrestler of the Year 2006? Can the odds be against the Ace any harder? A battle of the best babyfaces of all time commences soon!

IWGP Intercontinental: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jun Akiyama (c)

A match between two men who have had major ups and downs the past few years. Nakamura would lose it all last year and take a short (kayfabe) hiatus after losing both his Heavyweight title shot earned through winning a New Japan Cup tournament win, and his Intercontinental title to Chris Jericho all in the same month (April.) Jun Akiyama would find himself battling Jericho all throughout the year, both before and after he was IC champion. In fact, Jericho's first IC title reign came at Dontaku 2005 when he defeated Akiyama. At Dontaku 2006... Akiyama would once again fall. Thankfully Jericho's arrogance finally gave Akiyama an opening to re-challenge after a victory vs. a returning Chris Benoit. This is Jun Akiyama proving he should be a top guy and Nakamura's confidence being once again put to the test. Can Akiyama get out Kobashi's shadow? Can Nakamura get out of Tanahashi's? Both men have so much to prove.

Special Faction Warfare (if Mutoh-gun Loses, they MUST disband): Mutoh-gun vs. Sekigun

Keiji Mutoh throughout the year has shown a more desperate side of himself, his body is failing, one of his greatest rivals in Chono retired. Mutoh desperate to keep his position at the top did everything he could and ended up at an all-time low. At Power Struggle in November, Keiji Mutoh offered Tanahashi a deal, a one vs. one match. If Mutoh were to win this, well, the main event would be a triple threat. As we can see... that was not the outcome Mutoh wanted. What would happen if he lost? Tanahashi could assemble a team of 5 and if Mutoh-gun lost they'd disband. The members are as follows: Mutoh-gun: Keiji Mutoh, Daisuke Sekimoto, Jinsei Shinzaki, Masato Yakushiji, and Naoki Sano, for Sekigun: Kensuke Sasaki, Naomichi Marufuji, Osamu Nishmura, Masakatsu Funaki, and Minoru Tanaka.

Special Singles Match: Shinya Hashimoto vs. Minoru Suzuki

A year ago, this main evented Wrestle Kingdom. An insult to both men? Or perhaps just a sign of times. Minoru Suzuki would hate either answer. As last year, Shinya Hashimoto dethroned him in the main event for the title. Hashimoto would go on to exclaim that the "old guard" isn't dead yet, as long as he still stands strong. With Chono gone and retired, and Mutoh in the spot he is in... perhaps Hashimoto's words rang true a year ago, but how quickly can things change. Meanwhile Minoru Suzuki needs to defeat Hashimoto, in fact, the winner of this match will likely be in the front of the line to challenge for whoever wins the main event.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight: Jushin "Thunder" Liger vs. Hayabusa vs. Great Sasuke vs. Rey Misterio Jr (c)

A match that sort of culminated by Misterio being unable to defeat Liger. The issue is, Misterio and Hayabusa were set to compete at Wrestle Kingdom. Misterio felt "deflated" by failing to defeat a rival and mentor in Liger. So why Great Sasuke? Sasuke has wins over Hayabusa and Liger, all from this year. It became a mess and since all members are on good terms and are in the Sekigun faction, they agreed to this.

IWGP United States: Chris Benoit vs. Dave Finlay (c)

Okay, being honest, this match is almost a throwaway. Benoit has returned for his final years in NJPW, the story is very simple, two absolute brutal gaijin want a wrestling match against one another. I figured with all the hype and story-centric matches at the top of the card, something with less "intensity" and a more simpler format would fit well. I'm half-bullshitting, but hey, it worked out. Finlay is 48, and not in time decline and Benoit is 39 and is. So that's how she goes.

IWGP Joshi: Michiko Omukai vs. Aja Kong (c)

Michiko Omukai is a name you probably wouldn't expect to read when it comes to a big spot at Wrestle Kingdom... and yet, she is here. She won the Joshi Cup (16 man elimination tournament held in November) by defeating a surprise entrant in Bull Nakano in the finals. Why? Truthfully... she is over as hell for some reason. 85 popularity just from the tourney alone, Nakano was going to be the real winner, but I pivoted, despite Nakano being more over. Aja Kong has been on an absolute monster run, plus she has already defeated Michiko before. Is this her chance to get her revenge? Or will Aja Kong continue to barrel through the competition?

IWGP Tag Team: Rampage (Rhino & Tetsuhiro Kuroda) vs. The New Headshrinkers (Afa Jr. / Alofa)

Rhino is a man on a mission. The man main evented Power Struggle against Kobashi! He managed to win the Tag League with Kuroda, as well, and thus he finds himself, while not IWGP Heavyweight champion, potentially a Tag Team champion. Funnily enough at 93 overness, the Tag League was Rhino's first title/accolade ever. In any promotion. Regardless, the Gore is nonstop, and it seems unlikely The New Headshrinkers cant stop the Tag League winners... or can they? This is the same team who scored just as well as Rampage in the Tag League, only losing to a tiebreaker to the A Block winners: Jericho and Benoit. They also defeated DX to even hold the titles in the first place. The New Headshrinkers might not be fan favorites, they might not be the hottest new team on the block, but they seemed to have found their groove and have beaten teams more seasoned and proven than Rampage.

NEVER Openweight: Akira Taue vs. SUWAMA (c)

SUWAMA has been a fast rising star in New Japan, defeating Yuki Ishikawa for the title in November at Power Struggle. He would target the aging Akira Taue throughout the year and finally lured the big man in by promising a title shot at Wrestle Kingdom. Perhaps a final shot for Taue to hold gold. Still, SUWAMA is backed by the ever cunning Masahiro Chono and it is unlikely Taue will have a fair fight ahead of him.

NEVER Openweight Trios: Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano, Togi Makabe vs. Yoshi Tatsu, Naruki Doi, SUGI

Since the introduction of the NEVER branch, Tomohiro Ishii has been a fixture. The only multi-time winner for the NEVER Openweight singles title, Great Bash Heel has been feuding with Yuji Nagata's newly formed Blue Justice Army all of last year, to see it reach its culmination in some form, is always a plus. These titles barely have any real story or weight to them, so I did my best alright?

Junior Heavyweight Tag Titles: Super Crazy & Cerebro Negro vs. Los Traumas

I admit... the JHW Tag titles have been the "CMLL showcase" title, or more specifically, the "Luchador" showcase. Eddie & Chavo, Los Traumas, and Super Crazy & Cerebro Negro have helped spark a division that was primarily being ran by... Gedo & Jado. I admit they still aren't perfect, but this is a simple Luchador rivalry, and I hope to expand these titles and treat them better like I have been with the Heavyweight Tag titles.

Outside of "filler" or unimportant matches, these are the major ones worth mentioning/talking about. Excited to start a new year with New Japan especially as my roster continues to alter/change with the new generation of workers stepping up.

Yes! I'd recommend highly to lock down guys you absolutely cannot afford to lose, and secure a bigger TV deal ASAP. I don't know your situation but the hardest part is generally surviving the price increases, though I do find them to be a bit easier in recent games, they can still sneak up on a newer or inexperienced player (not implying you are either btw!) So, basically, any guy(s) or girl(s) that are carrying your ratings, they are your must secures. SWF/USPW/TCW can and will snag them, and since they are larger they often more enticing the workers.

Thank you for your advice. Although I haven't gone this far in my thread yet, in-game I'm getting a good flow of money each month, thank to PPV, ticket sales and merchandise (Enviable level) in that order, but almost getting the same amount from each of them. TV deals still don't represent that much because I still don't qualify for Big coverage broadcasters, which is my target (I'm close to that but it's getting hard to rise my popularity in Puerto Rico which is funny as I do own FCW as a developmental company but they are more popular in PR than my company), so I only sign 3 month contracts while waiting to reach the requirements. I also have a subscription network but only in Canada, UK, Japan and Oceania to fill areas where I didn't qualify for a good deal as it's still too expensive to have a bigger network. In this fourth year I'm starting to surprise SWF and TCW when they have to renew some big contracts, which seemed impossible a few months ago. Which I find interesting now is that at some points it seems that the gap between my company and the top 2 is reducing faster and then much slower like this year. Maybe in the fifth year my company will be really close to them or maybe it will be almost the same.

Mod - Cverse '97 by Derek B

My hiring and booking style heavily favours the ultra-talented, all-around performers.  I've said, talking with friends, that if I could have 3 or 4 guys like Flair/Angle/Jericho, it doesn't really matter who else I've got.

Company - HGC (renamed TCW, because the original name is awful)

Currently start of March 98, about to start the build for the main matches for TM2 in May.

The 3 big matches are Nemesis (c) vs Sean McFly for the World title, Steve Flash vs Eric Tyler, and, for the final time EVER, Rip Chord vs Sam Strong. (I know I said I'm a sucker for talent, but drawing money is important too)

Also getting ready to put the tag belts on the Vesseys for the first time.  Larry, sadly, is past his prime so it will be their only run with the belts, but it will complete my goal of giving each of the 4 legendary teams TCW/HGC start with a run with them.  The plan is to have them drop the belts in the fall, so I have time to have one turn on the other and Larry put Bryan over before his contract expires at the end of the year.

The two ancient legends, Rip and Sam, are under contract until the end of 99, so they are going to spend the rest of their days doing a long, slow job to the next generation, which includes Dan Stone Jr, a reformed The Hype, Vengeance, and Jack Bruce, just to name a few.  I feel like Sam may make an issue of this, but Dread's PGHW contract expires in June, and I have extremely deep pockets.

I hired more or less everyone from the indie scene that has any amount of promise.  I have around 110 wrestlers under contract currently, between main roster and developmental.  In my defense of this, I'm trying to make a Junior division to compete with Burning Hammer's, and I have a healthy tag team division, and I don't really believe in tag team guys wrestling singles matches.

Finally back to playing for the first time in probably over a year. Usuaully play Road to Glory, but  decided to start up a new SWF game. Also using Derek B's 97 CVerse as that's been my favorite mod since I first played it. Get to use all the wonderful characters I've grown to love over the past decade of playing this game, but from the start of their careers!

Anyways, I've made my first round of signings to get a backbone of the roster to slowly build. I took a look at the title histories and noticed that between May of 1996 and January of 2004, the only 2 men to hold the SWF Championship were Christian Faith and Sam Keith, save for an 8 month reign by Sean McFly. As much as I love these 2 characters, I can tell you that history won't be repeating itself in this scenario!

The major change I've made going into this save, is while I will be replicating the Nemesis vs Tommy Cornell 15 minute bloody brawl, I will not be replicating the consequences of that. Nemesis will be fired, but in kayfabe, while Cornell will be relatively free of consequence as he was just following the veteran's lead. This will lead to an Austin-McMahon type relationship between Nemesis and Eisen. World Title plans are to have Keith defend against Streens at When Hell Freezes over. Faith wins the battle royal on that same infamous card that sees Nemesis "fired" and will take the title off Keith at Nothing To Lose in February. Faith will hold the belt until Nemesis usurps him at The Supreme Challenge. How do we get there? Well, The Pain Alliance are going to terrorize SWF in Nemesis' short lived absence, eventually incapacitating Richard Eisen himself! Jerry Eisen, acting as interim owner while his father is out dealing with the repercussions of a beatdown at the hands of Big Smack Scott and Kurt Laramee, reinstates Nemesis as a member of the active roster, only if he promises to end the violence against his father.

As for the other member of that infamous bloody brawl, Tommy Cornell will see his career take a slight turn. While Nemesis' firing will lead the vacating of the North American Championship, Cornell won't be allowed to compete for that title. As a result, he gets a little more aggressive, eventually taking out his frustrations on Eric Eisen. Jerry, ever the protector of his family, punishes Cornell's bad behavior by making his Supreme Challenge opponent, none other than Bruce The Giant. If I'm able to build Tommy up, then he'll be getting the win and my main feud coming out of Supreme Challenge will be Cornell and Nemesis.

The Lords of War are going to dominate the tag team division, likely until I can sign The Demons of Rage. Unless I find another tag team I'm insterested in building up to that level, I don't see a reason to take the belts off of them. They'll be going over The Perfect Storm at When Hell Freezes Over.

North American title plans are a bit more up in the wind. I'd like to use that as a title that can help elevate my up and comers. Don't have a very large midcard, but I do have plenty of names that I plan on elevating to that. The most immediate name is going to be Runaway Train. He's someone I want to elevate to feed to whichever babyface I have take the SWF Championship off of Nemesis. Other names that I'm going to have invest time in building up are Axxis Jr, Danny Bruce, Jim Force, R.K. Hayes, Rich Money, Shawn Gonzalez and Vengeance. I'll eventually sign the other long time SWF guys like Angry Gilmore, Brandon James, Lobster Warrior, Enygma, Rogue and Squeeky McClean to round out that midcard title picture, but I'd like for them to get a little more seasoning on the indies first. Alternatively, The Big Easy and Mr. Supreme may be the primary guys for this midcard title, as I've always love both (especially Mr. Supreme) but I'm not sure either have a SWF Championship reign in their future.

Thank you so much! I do normally get invested but I am always hesitant to share what's been going on but I've been trying to be fairly transparent about this save. Not sure why but it has been really fun! It's even kept me MORE into this save, if that makes sense. For example, with the loss of Akira Taue, Dan Severn, Kazuo Yamazaki, and soon Toshiaki Kawada, my tag team division that I have been building up has woefully fallen apart in a sense. All four guys were essentially main event tag team guys (and Severn/Kawada were great solo acts too!) My plans to get The Headshrinkers over apparently flopped a bit, as Alofa is stuck at 77 and Afa Jr. is stuck at 70, which really sucks! On the plus side, despite my failing Heavyweight tag division, my singles divisions are all thriving and a lot of guys have found their spot and are comfortably rotating in and out of contention. My main event scene has almost fully shuffled now. Kobashi, Hashimoto and to a lesser extent Sasaki (though you could say he has been upper midcard for a while now) are the only ones left from the 90s/early 00s era. And truthfully, Hashimoto is done winning the main title. Kobashi might have another reign if he doesn't hit decline. Regardless of that February has arrived and that means Fighting Spirit Unleashed is here! Let's go over the important matches on the card/results!

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag: Los Traumas (c) def. Los Guerrero's

A rivalry that has been on and off throughout the year. Los Traumas has been building up a steady resume of conquered opponents, including Gedo & Jado, Super Crazy & Cerebro Negro, and recently Pentagon Black (Jr!) and Ozz. Now to face the team they have never beaten and win? It's clear Los Traumas are setting themselves up to be a fixture in the Jr. Tag Team division.

IWGP Tag Team: RAMPAGE (c) def. Wild Justice (Nagata/Nakanishi)

A successful first defense for the newly crowned team in Rampage. Rhino continues to be massively over at 90+ pop, and I have plans for Nagata this year. Nakanishi is being carried at this point, he never developed into a good worker, and never got past 70 pop, and is now nearing 40. It's honestly my favorite part of Tag Teams though, Nakanishi can reliably lose, and Nagata can reliably beat any other team. So, I'm not really complaining.

Special Singles Match: Samoa Joe def. Toshiaki Kawada

Joe is here, yeah. He got called up after Wrestle Kingdom and immediately made an impact by targeting Kawada, who just saw his stablemate Akira Taue retire. This will eventually lead up to the iconic Kobashi vs. Joe match, just obviously under different circumstances. That is a ways away though, and for now I'm trying to push Joe in the hopes I can get a solid upper midcard/main eventer out of him.

NEVER Openweight: SUWAMA (c) def. Masato Yakushiji

Masato has been a victim of bullying by Chono's faction (which still needs a freakin' name, I've been using Skirmish) and it was on full display here. This was a match, yes. But the deck was so obviously stacked against Masato that he had no real chance of actually winning. Enough was enough though, when Blue Justice Army got involved to make the save on a beaten down Masato, who would find his home after leaving Mutoh-gun.

IWGP United States: Osamu Nishmura def. Dave Finlay (c)

Thanks Finlay for saving this title as Carlito left me as soon as he freaking won it at Dontaku last year. Gave Finlay a "right place, right time" then decided to reward him for being almost 50 and not in time decline. Nishmura has been "stuck" in Fujinami's shadow and has been in a holding pattern since then.. which is strangely a storyline going for 5 years now. Nishmura is probably his generations Goto for me... which hurts because I'm a Goto diehard fan. Either way, Nishmura is constantly at 85 popularity, can slot into any spot on the card, and needs to be rewarded damn it!

IWGP Joshi: Bull Nakano def. Aja Kong (c)

I still feel guilty about having Michiko lose at Wrestle Kingdom, AFTER defeating Nakano for the Joshi Cup, only to have Nakano win it 2 months later. But... Nakano has 90 popularity and is putting on banger after banger, and Aja Kong's reign has run its course.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight: Koji Kanemoto def. Rey Misterio Jr (c)

Koji Kanemoto lost his home in Mutoh-gun, not only that but he was omitted from the list of "best Junior Heavyweights" when Misterio named the likes of Hayabusa, Ultimo, and Liger. Kanemoto took offense and aligned himself with the dastardly Suzuki-gun and attacked Misterio after a match the day after WK. This culminated here, and with the help of Suzuki-gun, allowed Kanemoto to obtain his 3rd reign, his first reign in 11 years! (He was helping build up my JHW tag division)

IWGP Intercontinental: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) def. Kensuke Sasaki

Nakamura has been Tanahashi's tag team partner through thick and thin, even when he looked set to join Chono's nefarious group, or when Mutoh attempted to lure him over. Of course this comes with the negative of facing the 1B to many 1A opponents, Shinya Hashimoto's 1B is of course Sasaki. A stalwart, and one of the most decorated champions in New Japan history. Sasaki would also be responsible for disbanding Mutoh-gun in the first place at WK. Nakamura survived, and showed he has the ability to hang with some of the best in the world.

IWGP Heavyweight: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) def. Shinya Hashimoto

Maybe it is fate, that in their epic 5 match rivalry, that Hashimoto's age and body fail him. Indeed, at 2-2 a piece in singles action, and running off a fantastic year prior, Hashimoto looked poised to "shock" everyone and end Tanahashi's reign at 0 defenses. Unfortunately, the quicker, more agile, and cocky Tanahashi would prove that strong style needs to evolve or else Tanahashi will reign supreme for a very long time. For Hashimoto it wasn't just a title loss, it was perhaps one of the final nails left in the coffin for the old guard.

Post Match I rarely do these but Steve Austin's title expired, and I offered him a deal. Made sure that it'd be "one of the two offers" he'd accept, and he picked me over WWF, who I let him go to in the first place. They treated him like shit, but not the Rock, weirdly enough. Suzuki-gun came out and attacked Tana/Hashimoto after the match, Steve made the save. This is likely Steve's farewell tour as he is getting up there, but not in decline.

Next post will likely be the New Japan Cup!

Thanks for all the kind words guys, one of my favorite communities.

The New Japan Cup and Sakura Genesis has concluded, and I had to pivot hard by a simple mistake! I forgot to put Yuji Nagata, the supposed winner, in the actual tournament! Oh my Gosh, I hate when that happens. Still, I got it all sorted out!

The 2007 New Japan Cup Winner is.... Minoru Suzuki

Suzuki, was actually the original planned winner of the 2007 NJ Cup, which I penned in all the way back in 2003, however, the changed winner was going to be Yuji Nagata. That is alright, it worked out because Suzuki is sort of Tanahashi's biggest rival outside of Kobashi. Can't believe I forgot! Also on the New Japan Cup card was

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag: Los Traumas (c) def. Suzuki-gun (TAICHI & Taka Michinoku)

Their 5th defense with the titles, it looks like Los Traumas has evolved the division, and is destroying any and everyone. The current record defenses in a singular reign is 8, held by Koji Kanemoto & Jinsei Shinzaki. Are they going the distance? Or is it only a matter of time before guys like Liger & Hayabusa or even Kanemoto & Shinzaki come for the title?

With that out of the way, Sakura Genesis 2007 is also in the books, and it was a great event! I think. I always sort of coast until after the New Japan Cup, where a lot of the stuff starts to pick up and new storylines get firmly placed. So let's go over the major matches.

NEVER Openweight: SUWAMA (c) Def. Masato Yakushiji

I know, this isn't a repost, this is the night of rematches, I promise it has a point. Without the help of Chono's nefarious goons, SUWAMA was alone to fend with Masato Yakushiji, and with Blue Justice backing up, this was a closer back and forth affair. Sadly, Yakushiji came just shy of defeating the cocky champion.

IWGP United States Heavyweight: Osamu Nishmura (c) def. Chris Benoit

Benoit's second attempt already at the title, and he falls 0-2 on the year for it. This match was nearly impromptu, with a week before the event, Benoit and Jericho would defeat Nishmura and Funaki (and injuring Funaki damn you!) thankfully, Nishmura showcased his prowess, and as a champion he begins to look more and more like Fujinami.

IWGP Intercontinental: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) def. Tomohiro Ishii

An easy match to book when Ishii is the one who knocked Nakamura out of the New Japan Cup. Not much of a story beyond that, but it did end with some justice and retribution! To make matters worse, Ishii sustained a major concussion, and will have to vacate the Six Man titles. Sucks..

IWGP Junior Heavyweight: Koji Kanemoto (c) def. Rey Misterio Jr.

See? Rematches. Koji and Rey weren't done after their first match, and similar to SUWAMA, Kanemoto did have help. Sadly, unlike the Openweight title match, Kanemoto continued to receive support from his new faction mates Suzuki-gun. Misterio falls further down the pecking order after having a fantastic 2006. Perhaps the BOSJ tournament will be the spark that ignites him!

IWGP Heavyweight Tag: RAMPAGE (c) def. Two Cool Dudes (Dave Finlay/Mick Foley)

I really did name them Two Cool Dudes, it was originally "Two Old Dudes" but I didn't want Two Old Dudes beating my entire roster. So... I had to change it. Plus I think Mick would legitimately name a tag team this, as he is no longer the Cactus Jack of old, or even Mankind. He is just goofy Mick. Regardless, Rhino continues to carry the team and continues to achieve new heights. It's going to take a well established team at this point to knock off Rhino and Kuroda.

IWGP Joshi: Bull Nakano (c) def. Michiko Omukai

Seriously, this made me sad three times I've booked it. Well, not this specific match but Michiko losing all 3 times. She defeated Bull Nakano so she had a legitimate shot here, but sadly after 3 attempts especially so close together, Michiko is unlikely to receive a title shot again anytime soon, and will likely return to JWP (where she is tag team champ, and booker so, yknow.)

IWGP Heavyweight: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) def. Minoru Suzuki

2-1 for Tanahashi, much to Suzuki's frustration. New Japan Cup winner is cursed, where so far NOBODY has converted. Either way with Tanahashi's victory, and Suzuki now looking to face a returning Stone Cold, his next opponent is none other than Chris Jericho, but I have major plans for this and it isn't so simple. Because Jericho just lost a match to Yuji Nagata last week (it was supposed to be in the freaking New Japan Cup damn it) and Nagata wants a shot if Jericho thinks he deserves it. Nagata is special as he was Tanahashi's first real feud when he returned from a short excursion. For the first time in a very long time (1996, and 2000, both involving Mutoh, fun fact!) a triple threat for the title has been made!

I’m running CGC in @lavelleuk’s 2022 Alt Cverse as an Alex DeColt redemption arc. He’s out of therapy and back in charge, letting his three brothers and Edd Stone go under the logic that their salaries are unsustainable in CGC’s diminished state, and the company must overcome their DeColt dependence to thrive again.

He has 22 enemies but every time a PPV scores 40+ (soon to be 50+ to increase the challenge), it helps convince people he’s really changed and one relationship is repaired (chosen using a random number generator). The first two rolls were non-events – people under written contracts – but the third may present an opportunity to rehire someone valuable and claw back a little credibility.

It’s a really rough roster: four of the top five draws are 46 or older and in decline, there’s not much underneath and one of the few bright prospects, Flip Simkins, already handed in his notice. I’m really enjoying it though as I have very little spare time right now and not having much talent to carefully nurture makes it easier to zip through shows without too much micromanagement.

We just got through WrestleFestival, where 49-year-old Brett Fraser won his first world title: a feel-good moment that probably came across more as feel-how-far-we’ve-fallen. But there was some non-geriatric success, including Skip Beau retaining the Canadian Title against Alex DeColt in the Day 1 main event (so much for overcoming the DeColt dependence) and our first signing Bradley Blaze putting in the performance of the weekend on his debut (just a shame his gimmick bombed).

Now we’re on the road to Ultimate Showdown. I’ve got the next three PPVs mapped out, plus the signings and key storyline developments needed to get there. The most fun challenge will be booking In The Company Of Legends around the obstacle of most of the company’s legends hating the owner.

Emergent gameplay and my favourite TEW save I've ever done or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love ZomBoy

I got TEW 2020 upon release and wanted to start a save with a smaller company to get to grips with both the changes to the game world and new mechanics. I've still got the save going now and I've been going back to it off and on since day one. I haven't simmed that far through it yet because of periods where I'm playing other saves and even longer periods where I just burn out on TEW altogether. I chose to play as PSW because I hadn't really booked them before and I wanted a company that didn't run lots of angles so I could just sim through stuff. As I hadn't played PSW before I didn't really know many of the guys on their roster - and a few I wasn't sure if they had even been in older versions of the game because they weren't familiar to me.

Among these new faces were The Legion of Blood. I liked the Legion Of Blood right away. I liked their names. I liked their gimmick. I especially liked their willingness to destroy their bodies for me for not very much money in front of crowds of no more than 250 people. I always like an occult gimmick and I find them very useful for booking second tier bad guys. I just find it's easy to insert them into random feuds because who can really know Wicked Lester's motives or how his mind works, right? And that was exactly the role I had them down for. Always intended to keep them around as good second level gatekeeper mini-boss types, always handy for a bit of the old ultraviolence. In the back of my mind I earmarked Lester and ZomBoy for potential pushes down the line. They're young, I thought to myself, if they surprise me and get really good then who knows.

So I carried on with the game. All my younger stars of course got poached. Brandon James came in and took the company to new heights.  Angry Gilmore came in and helped do the same. Vendetta and Acid stuck around and got pushes - these were my big hopes for creating home grown stars. In the background the Legion Of Blood were always there. Being relied on to challenge for the National championship or act as a stepping stone/road block for whatever babyface was getting a push. They were getting better too. Lester had become really quite solid in the ring. ZomBoy had improved his fundamentals a good bit too and he was really developing his flashiness. He was getting over.

I had a vague idea that ZomBoy would probably outgrow the Legion eventually and I could have a good rivalry going with he and Lester. Plenty of bloody matches there. That's where Grandmaster Phunk enters the picture. Phunk had come in to pop some ratings and fill the gaping chasm left at the top of the card when TCW and USPW gutted my roster. But now his main event run had wrapped up and I was looking to cycle him down the card and build some younger guys. Phunk clearly had the same idea because he surprised me by offering to put ZomBoy over - twice. I hadn't planned for this but I was happy to roll with it and move some things around storyline wise. ZomBoy's split with the Legion had just been expedited.

So the feud went thus. Grandmaster Phunk teamed up with Jebediah & Andrew Harper to take on the Legion who had been terrorising all three men. Big six man match in which ZomBoy shocks everyone by scoring the pin fall for his team on the future PSW Hall Of Famer. You would think that Wicked Lester would be happy but on the contrary, he's jealous that it was his subordinate who got the win. The plan now is to sow the seeds of division with Lester becoming jealous of ZomBoy who will enjoy repeated successes while Lester repeatedly fails in his own endeavours. Meanwhile I was to have Grandmaster Phunk gain respect for ZomBoy. He would reach out to ZomBoy and encourage him to leave the Legion of Blood, eventually forming a team with him to battle Lester and Deathwish. Grandmaster Phunk and ZomBoy is not a pairing I ever thought was in the cards but I liked the idea. Bit of an odd couple. Emergent gameplay.

At the next show Lester has a shot at Acid's National Championship (even though he didn't get the win at the last show. ZomBoy did). ZomBoy meanwhile is going one on one with Grandmaster Phunk who is eager for revenge. ZomBoy does it again. He gets the win all by himself, 1 on 1. Wicked Lester fails to defeat Acid. Worse Wicked Lester absolutely destroys his knee during the match and is out for over a year. This thing was just about to get rolling and we had a TV show on an actual TV station starting that week, none of this WrestleWorld nonsense. Plans change. Emergent gameplay.

Without Lester to carry the feud I had to pivot. Now Deathwish and ZomBoy are lost. Lester has disappeared. They start losing tag matches. Every week. Our first three TV shows they lose tag matches, all the while lamenting Lester's absence, unable to function without his guidance. After a few weeks Phunk approaches ZomBoy and tells him he doesn't need Lester. ZomBoy didn't need Lester when he beat Phunk 1 on 1 and he doesn't need him now. ZomBoy is conflicted and his brother Deathwish chastises him. He warns him not to listen to Phunk and to remain loyal. Eventually of course they split, ZomBoy teams up with Phunk who now acts as an on-screen mentor for him (God knows ZomBoy can't do his own promos) and ZomBoy wins the feud with Deathwish.

I had the idea to turn him face and have him as my Darby Allin. The weird little underdog guy who does insane stunts and hangs out with his cool uncle. When I turned him face he needed a gimmick change. Well his new Undead Underdog gimmick has a legendary rating. This is all going swimmingly.

So again the save file goes on, ZomBoy and Phunk are over and they're a useful part of the shows but they're not major players. Acid, Vendetta and Hammer Hadley keep getting pushes. Ernest Youngman comes home. My big plans were to unify the National Championship and PSW Championship and name a PSW WORLD Champion. I'd been pushing Hammer Hadley as my version of Taz, just totally unstoppable, holding the National Championship for over a year. Acid is the PSW Champion and I had to keep him warm while I worked towards the unification bout at Steel City StarFest. I had the idea to trade the belt with Angry Gilmore. Acid would drop the belt at Endgame and then at the January show would win it back in a Mask vs Title match. Then one defence in February and on to Hammer Hadley.

Endgame comes and goes, Gilmore wins the belt and it's on to New Year Revolution. Emergent gameplay. Plans change. First TV after winning the title Gilmore comes to me and offers to put ZomBoy over. The promise is only good for one month so it's now or never. Could ZomBoy really win the PSW Championship? From wrestling machine Angry Gilmore? He's been a great presence in the locker room, he's never missed a show, he's taken a ton of crazy bumps for me. He was over enough. He has good star quality. I thought why the hell not, he's earned it!

And that's what went down in my game most recently. At New Year Revolution ZomBoy beat Gilmore for the PSW Championship. I never planned for him to turn face when he did. I never planned to push him as strongly as I have. I certainly never intended to put the belt on him. The game thrust all of these things upon me. It's been the best journey I've ever had with one of my guys in any version of TEW. I love the save and I love ZomBoy.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I've been hosting a 3 Play co-op in the Cverse, where each of us is the Big 3 and instead of competing for the best score, just write our own stories and have fun, we've all now hit our biggest shows since we're in July and I thought it would be fun to write out what's been going on in the biggest companies at the moment, although a lot has been edited/dumbed down for inside jokes sake and because we all act like we're 5 when we're playing this game "Competitively".
Supreme Wrestling Federation (me)

We've had a good year in the land of Supreme, we've just had the Supreme Challenge XL and we're about to launch a SWF Network (with its own title to boot!), hoping to take the #1 spot back in America! On the Wrestling side of things Mikey Lau defeated Remo for the SWF World Heavyweight Championship after winning our version of the Royal Rumble, and shocked the world by beating our dominate champion in a great match, however the real main event (literally and figuratively) was the long awaited showdown between good and evil. Rocky Golden survived the Supreme Cell (HIAC) against Scythe and his 'mentor' Ash Campbell in a 99 rated classic. Rocky finally got over his personal fears and defeated his sworn enemy, but this won't be the last of the odd alliance between Ash and Scythe...not by a long shot. Another big story was another ending of a long feud, this time YEARS in the making, Valiant drove Rogue, his long time rival not just off a balcony in the arena, but out of the SWF as a whole. His time as a prime manipulator in the SWF is no more. The rest of the card was just as good, as Spencer Spade beat Steven Parker in a star making performance, The Awesomeness secured the Tag Titles for a 3rd time, T-Bone Bright dominated the bitter vet Enygma in record time to secure his first title in the big leagues, Mainstream Hernandez & Matty Faith finally ended a 6 month long feud, and The Atom (Prime 98-2001 rock gimmick) beat some of the biggest upcoming names in the SWF to win the first ever "Golden Ticket" (Money In The Bank). We've had some great new signings here as well, with Marc Speed debuting in a face to face with Angry Gilmore (who won a showcase battle royale), Fro Sure, Rich & Famous, & Logan Wolfsbaine already beginning a rise up the card, while American Flash, Findlay O'Farraday are looking for a hot debut, and The Heartbreak Express, Inner City Express, James Diaz, and Xavi Ferrera are soon heading up to RIPW for some new national exposure. Things are looking quite up indeed.

United States Pro Wrestling

Technically the #1 promotion in the world, some "Interesting" Russo esque booking has made things questioned, but overall a good product and potential talent, and right after their big Declaration of Independence show it'll be interesting to see how the player on them handles things. The biggest story out of the 4th of July event is Nicky Champion winning his record 7th USPW World Championship (technically the 8th, but the less said about the Disqualification finish in a battle royal incident the better) from Rich Money and his cohorts in the business (Which now is made up of Johnny Money (Greed) Kirk Jameson, Papa Swoll, Dusty Ducont, and Tana Da Money (Tana The Mighty), it would be foolish to think Rich will be taking this lying down however, and a rematch has already been made. Elsewhere Steve Frehley used a botched assault by Bulldozer Brandon Smith to get an edge over Rich Law, now standing 1 to 1 in a series of matches, Pariah beat Melody in a face vs face encounter to win the women's title, National Champion Casey Valentine and Sterling Whitlock have formed an odd friendship after trading that title back and fourth for the last few months, and Alicia Strong lost in a shock upset to Tiffany Jade. Some lesser names got some air time as well as Jack Jackson beat James Justice to the rights over the letter J (not really but you laughed, you know it) and Mr Lucha III was a shock replacement partner for Roger Cage to beat the Supreme Dream Team (Grandmaster Phunk & Greg Black) for the USPW World Tag Team Titles. With some younger names like Julius Moor, Morgan Malone, NOT Regular Joe (A heel turn which caused the tears of many in our group) being pushed, and The Puerto Rican Boys, Electric Dreamer, Mutant, Hell's Bouncer, and Garry The Entertainer about to arrive who knows what will be the future of USPW....

Total Championship Wrestling

Last but not least is everyone's favorite TCW! The former problem of having big names not be stolen is no longer an issue for them, and in fact have many new arrivals since their big event in May, but for continuity sake, we'll pick up after their big event last month in June, Excessive Force.  TCW World Champion Jay Chord tore the house down against longtime rival TCW Mighty Mo in the main event even without the help of his new stablemates Davis Wayne Newton & Nelson Callum in The Enlightenment, but a 93 match would be haunting for Jay as not only has another old rival in Sammy Bach thrown his hat into the ring for a new title shot, but recently debuted Jacob Jett got a huge pop (even if he left USPW on "bad terms" with Nicky and Nicky's ex wife Persephone *wink wink*) when he also called out the champ on TV this week. Other notable matches had Freddy Huggins got a dirty pin on the ACE of TCW Aaron Andrews, and won't stop running his mouth in (great rated) promos, Wolf Hawkins exited a sad slump of losses over One Man Army, with help from newest Syndicate member Ricky DeColt, Sammy Bach beat Pablo Rodriguez in a #1 contender ship match, and Andre Jones beat Greg Gauge to end a lengthy TV title reign. A Youth movement of sorts is occurring, as Roderick Remus, Seth Whitehead and Ernest Youngman are already up and ready, and new signings Acid II, Going Costal, Tigre Salvaje Jr are looking to make a splash, Phil Vibert is going to apparently sign for some unknown purpose, and a former British master manipulator had to end up somewhere...

so what do you guys think, some interesting booking no? Like any, hate them all (that's fair), just thought I'd share this fun save :D

I will tell you this much; once you have your own decently wide-ranging subscription network, you’re on easy street. Free money, unthinkably fast pop gains, and you never have to worry about getting kicked off. As soon as you have enough money to make a subscription broadcaster with decent coverage, you should do it.

I feel like it’s broken how profitable that is.

Underground Pro Wrestling: May 2026

This save has been super fun. Started a new Road To Glory in January 2023 (run by Joey Janela), so close to 3 and a half years of ups and downs.

Main Players

Tracy Williams: My first ever World Champion, and has been an absolute measuring stick for the company from that moment onward. Consistently good and has slotted nicely in to that upper carder who can be a main eventer when needed.

Tim Donst: No matter how many times I do a real world save, I can not help but sign Tim Donst and push the hell out of him. A 5x world champion and has been the most influential member of the roster for the entire existence of the company. Currently sitting at 73 over in the US and my goodness that makes me happy, the fact that Tim Donst never got a shot in a big company is an absolute travesty.

Greetings From Dingley (Slex and Adam Brooks): I'm an Australian and much like Donst, I can't help but push my favourite local workers. Slex and Brooksy are fantastic, and I hope one day the rest of the world can experience them on a big stage, they absolutely deserve it. Slex has won the world championship twice and together they have won the tag team titles four times. Slex is starting to slow down a bit, and Brooksy is surely not to far away from capturing his first world championship.

Kevin Steen and Sami Zayn: January 2025 was a big time for UPW. Sadly Triple H passed away, leaving the running of WWE solely on Stephanie McMahon. Her first action as booker was a big cull, a lot of the ageing roster was released (along with some strange decisions that I was happy to take advantage of). UPW snapped up Kevin and Sami as soon as they could. Steen won the World Championship his first night in the company, showing that he was there to make waves. Together they have also held the tag team titles once and had worked extensively with younger talent helping them get over.

Adam Priest: Mr. Consistency, since day one he has been the one to watch on any given show. A three time tag team champion with tag partner Josh Woods, Priest is also the current UPW World Heavyweight Champion, a title he has defended in absolute banger matchups. From unemployed to world champion, Priest has been an integral part of the company and lives that never say die attitude the company lives by.

Tyler Bate: Another worked part of the 2025 WWE exile, and my god UPW are happy for that to be the case. The man who held the world championship for the longest time (the title is defended every week and can jump around quite quickly) so Bate is well respected by the crowd at UPW. He also held the tag team titles with WALTER before WALTER was snapped up by AEW on a very sad day for UPW fans everywhere.

The New Era Begins Now

With UPW's roster being relatively untouched for their entire history (barring the lose of Mike Bailey to Dragongate and Katsuhiko Nakajima back to NOAH) AEW has swopped in the last 2 months and signed the majority of UPW's upper card. Andrade, Alex Zayne, WALTER, Effy, Mance Warner, Chris Bey, Jonathan Gresham and Bestia 666 have all signed exclusive contracts with AEW, leaving UPW with significantly less star power than they had at the start of the year. To counteract this, UPW have put pen to paper with several new workers. Trevor Lee, Dezmond Xavier, Alec Price, Jacob Fatu, Yuma Aoyagi, Chris Brookes and Calvin Tankman have all been brought in to try and balance out roster. Hopefully these new signings can fill in some huge holes that have been left gapping from these loses.

Current Power Rankings

Wins and loses matter, so does momentum, so here is the current roster ranked on form:

1. Adam Priest (UPW World Heavyweight Champion)
2. Cole Radrick (UPW Tag Team Champion)
3. Gavin McGavin (UPW Tag Team Champion)
4. Dezmond Xavier (UPW United States Champion)
5. Tim Donst

Don’t you have a YouTube channel? Seems like I recognize the name but anyway if so you should put this on it

A lot has been going on in my NJPW save. Though I admit, it has mostly been the "beginning" of a new season, you know? Not the most exciting things. I'm going to go over the BOSJ tournament though, which I guess has a more international flair, who are also much younger. Prince Devitt was meant to debut here for NJPW but tore his rotator cuff and is out for another 6 more months. Sadly. In parenthesis I will speak what happened and why it happened, but I was trying to get a lot of younger guys over... and it pains me to say but I think it was a huge failure lol. I pivoted hard and had to make some changes mid tourney, but thankfully it was okay. Just a bit alarming to see my Junior Heavyweight roster stagnating.

A Block:

Koji Kanemoto (12 pts)

The IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion rarely made any mistakes, only losing to Naruki Doi by fluke, he also lost to Rey Misterio Jr, which isn't shocking. What really hurt Kanemoto was his 2(!) draws! A 30 minute draw to Hayabusa, and on Night 9 to Ultimo Dragon, which had heavy final implications.

Ultimo Dragon (13 pts)

Throughout the tournament it almost seemed obvious that Ultimo Dragon was heading to the finals, but Ultimo would tie with the winner and end up losing out due to having been defeated to him earlier in the tournament. Where did Ultimo go wrong? He lost to Naruki Doi and Jinsei Shinzaki, two matches that Ultimo should have easily won.

Masato Yoshino (6 pts)

A debut that many were excited for, the Blue Justice Prodigy did his absolute best, but losing to his brethren in Naruki Doi and SUGI, plus falling to the veterans really hurt him. Still, 6 points in their debut isn't abysmal, considering this was one of the hardest blocks. (I couldn't get him over, I tried giving him wins early on but he seemed capped at 75. I'm not sure if I'll give up on him, but Blue Justice as a whole has been really a flop.)

Rey Misterio Jr (10 pts)

A frustratingly good performance but leaves a lot to be desired for Rey Misterio. Dropping a match to Yoshino didn't help, and he lost to everyone but Koji Kanemoto when it came to the veterans. Given his momentum last year, this was a huge downgrade for last years winner.

Trauma I (6 pts)

A debut, but Trauma I is also a seasoned tag wrestler and perhaps... he was a little exposed here. Still, being a former Junior Heavyweight tag team champion is impressive. (Couldn't get him past 76 popularity... sucks.)

SUGI (10 pts)

Sugi was looking dominant early on, even defeating Ultimo Dragon. But towards the end he slowed down badly and was unable to compete at his frantic high pace as he has become known for. (Out of the ones mentioned so far, I tried the hardest with Sugi.. and he seems stuck at 79... maybe he can be a tag team guy, but at this rate top champion is out of the question)

Naruki Doi (10 pts)

Vowing to avenge his 8 point debut, and proclaiming he will have a positive record, Doi really showed up. He impressed and looks like he has a nice future in NJPW. Sadly, he was in an extremely difficult block, because perhaps if he was in B block... maybe he'd be in the finals. (Doi... gained exactly 0 popularity in this tournament. Literally 0, and he beat Hayabusa and Kanemoto. That is such a bad sign. Hate the pop system in this game grrr.)

Jayson Paul (4 pts)

The worst of the debuts, Jayson Paul felt a little out of his depth throughout the tournament, which is a shame because the matches he won were the matches everything clicked. His match with Sugi and Jinsei Shinzaki, both wins, he was dominant and a well oiled all-arounder. Given he is a 2x OVW Heavyweight champion, many expected a lot more. (Okay, he actually gained popularity. 7 points to be exact, he is at 77. A scary number that doesn't tell me he is going to get more over... but I will try and continue with him because I love JTG.)

A BLOCK WINNER: Hayabusa (13 pts)

Hayabusa had a fantastic showing, looking pretty great throughout but looked more and more ready to become the 2nd place or even 3rd place runner up, drawing to Kanemoto early drained Hayabusa and he dropped matches to way easier opponents, while Ultimo Dragon swept the competition almost until the very end. Hayabusa may have won, but the way he won felt extremely low. He won by technicality and even if Hayabusa doesn't win at the finals, it is obvious he and Ultimo have unfinished business.

B Block:

Great Sasuke (10 pts)

To many, Sasuke has had the biggest babyface return of anyone. He came back to NJPW and finally won the title, only to lose it instantly. Fast forward to BOSJ of 2006, and he loses in the finals. Fast forward to BOSJ 2007... and here he is. Solid. While his popularity remains strong, Sasuke has to be wondering what could he possibly do? Only one singular title to his name and with 0 defenses... Sasuke may need to shake up his attitude or align himself with a newer faction as with Sekigun he already looks stale, and he is amongst the likes of Liger, Rey, and Hayabusa. (Going to see if I can turn Great Sasuke heel, and give him a bit of revitalization but still waiting to pull the trigger.)

Super Crazy (Replaced by KENTA) 4 pts (8 pts)

Kenta managed to acquire 4 extra points, Super Crazy tore his quad, sadly. KENTA showed up and kicked ass, showcasing a brutal offensive style that is rare in the division. It is a shame for the injury, but also a shame that the replacement wasn't in his own spot, because who knows how well he'd have done in his debut.

Trauma II (8 pts)

Trauma II arguably did pretty well in his debut. He lost to people that were veterans and elite talents like Eddie Guerrero, and Liger and defeated those that were on his level, he even scored an upset on Great Sasuke! Trauma II might be a tag team guy, but he definitely can hang in singles action. (He got to 83 pop which made me decently happy, but he is capped at that. So close, but at least this confirms he'll have many title reigns in the tag division.)

Naoki Sano (8 pts)

Time continues to chip away at Naoki Sano, who is one of the most technically sound juniors in the division. But perhaps he looked a little exposed out there. He lost his faction in Mutoh-gun, he is getting up in age, and he quite frankly hasn't evolved. Sano has done better, well, Sano has won, in fact just two years again. So we'll see what might happen for his future, but at 42... how much longer can he continue? (Sano is great, just stale like Sasuke. Thinking of pairing them actually, or Makabe.)

Eddie Guerrero (10 pts)

If one person could be described as Eddie's enemy.. it'd be Eddie. His temper and his ego has been his undoing since forever. Able to beat the Ligers, the Hayabusas, and the Sasukes, but losing to new guys like Daniel Makabe? Eddie has done his best work with his nephew Chavo Guerrero, but you can see he still hopes for more singles action, though Eddie is already an extremely decorated champion.

La Sombra (8 pts)

The youngest entrant at 17, La Sombra impressed many with his high flying yet well rounded style. Even picking up a victory over Great Sasuke. Still, at just 17 it is hard to tell what the future has in store for La Sombra, and for now he will be back in CMLL after the tour. (He actually got to 85 popularity and is the biggest success, so I'm very excited to use La Sombra just because we all know he can be heavyweight too!)

Daniel Makabe (8 pts)

Daniel Makabe played no games in this tournament, he went in unheard of and impressed everyone. His technical prowess (hes got like 87 technical) blended well, and even seemed to be an evolved style of Sano's. 8 points isn't a bad debut, and the crowd now knows Makabe's name. (He went from 67 pop, to 80. I'm stoked and hoping he goes up from there.)

Shinjiro Otani (10 pts)

Otani has slowed down over the years, this isn't a secret. Injuries plague him. 10 points for Otani is 10 points for Rey Misterio Jr. You know they could have done better and they didn't. Regardless of why, not much needs to be said for Otani. Perhaps he will do better next time, when he is motivated. Or perhaps it is time for Otani to move up to heavyweight? It's been a long time since anything new has happened for Otani.

Masaaki Mochizuki (6 pts)

Mochizuki returned to NJPW in 2001, and... since then? Nothing. He has been a solid hand for Sekigun and that is all. It's a mystery why Mochizuki is still struggling to find his feet but 6 points is definitely a huge step back from his 10 points a  year ago. (Mochizuki is capped at 75, tried for 5 years to see if I can somehow get him over and just can't. Either gonna put him in a tag team or just send him down to developmental and be a main event guy there as I like him a lot)

B Block Winner: Jushin "Thunder" Liger (14 pts)

This is the most dominant Liger we have seen in recent memory. Only dropping two matches, one actually being Mochizuki, and the other being to Otani. Liger won every other match convincingly and he now faces fellow Sekigun member Hayabusa in the finals. The two have been rivals, champions together, and now both stand in each other's way as they both vie to stay at the very top of the mountain!

I accidentally posted my reply earlier than I wanted! So sorry for the weird edit.
