Exlusive Written signed One night only with another company?

I am playing a Real World Mod, and am 1991 WCW. I am 1 week in and have Sting locked up in an exclusive written, but he signed a one night only with another company. Is this now something wrestlers can do or is this a glitch? It's never happened in other versions.

Is 22 people (working for $30/show and getting mad whenever they're left out) too ambitious? How can I address that? I don't want to cut down to, like, 10 people unless I have to, and I'd still have to pay locals to flesh out shows. Might as well keep a few guys around to job, right?

When I run locals, I do basically as you said in the latter personally and it works well for me. Have a low number of actual 'contracted' guys (basically the people I intend to revolve my company around), then day of show just hire locals to job. Also helps in keeping a strong focus of who your true players are.

As a side tip, I don't even bother with a tag team division in the first 3-6 months, because that simply means paying extra people for the night when you can just be saving money and doing only singles matches.

Going through the manual I noticed that you can reset momentum with a good gimmick change.

Other than that, how do I boost momentum off of ice cold for a wrestler who has been doing constant jobs?

Stop jobbing him out and put him into a hot storyline (even as 'support' ) and feature him in hot angles.

Hey!

In 2016 when you got a worker on loan for let's say 4 dates/matches you could look up how many matches he had left on his deal in case you forgot.

You could look up number of dates or time left.

In 2020 i can only find the contract lenght but not how many dates are left.

Am i missing something or is this feature not in the game?

Does anyone know if there's a way to reorder whether you book taped shows or live shows first on a day when you have both scheduled?

If I have both scheduled to book on the same day the taped ('B') show always comes in to be booked first, but as this is essentially my after-thought show and I book on the fly week to week, I'd rather book my live 'A' show first.

Trying not to use pre-booking, it's just not my style.

Go to "Events&TV" then at the bottom you should click the "show priority" and then switch the TV Order from Ascending to Descending

I'm curious why Starting companies can sign such popular workers.

Feels like prestige would need to be at a particular level with no popularity to get a realistic signing. Unless the worker had no money or had a relationship with someone involved i suppose.

Just starting from scratch it seems like a lot is obtainable that probably shouldn't be as far as employees.

Is anyone able to see worker stat growth notes from the road agents like in 2016?

I've been playing for months and haven't gotten any notes specifically letting me know about stat increases during matches or angles. Was this taken out for 2020?

It's no longer required.

The only directly applied skill increases are those acquired from a mentor, as of 1.05.

<p>I'm struggling a lot with this game. I don't know if it's me or the mod I'm using (Killing the Business), but after three shows I drop in size and fall into a slump.</p><p> </p><p>

Pretty much every segment I do is between 56 and 74. I'm playing as WWE, and at my first show I did, all segments except the first being part of storylines</p><p> </p><p>

1. Mr McMahon (pop 65) freestyle promo.</p><p>

8 minutes, rated on entertainment (80 cha, 70 mic, 80 act), non-scripted. </p><p>

<strong>Rating: 71</strong></p><p> </p><p>

2. Street Profits vs Murphy & Theory (all 55 pop)</p><p>

10 minutes, story telling, Dawkins to win, end with DQ, Street Profits have great chemistry</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 59</strong></p><p> </p><p>

3. Ciampa (pop 60), Gargano (pop 60), LeRae promo (pop 40)</p><p>

5 mins, Ciampa and Gargano rated on entertainment (70-80 for Ciampa, 55-70 for Gargano), Candice not rated, scripted</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 60</strong></p><p> </p><p>

4. Ruby Riott (40) vs Natalya (60)</p><p>

9 mins, Natalya to win by DQ</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 58</strong></p><p> </p><p>

5. Ciampa and Gargano brawl</p><p>

6 mins, both rated on Fighting</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 57</strong></p><p> </p><p>

6. Andrade (pop 60) vs Mysterio (pop 65)</p><p>

16 mins, Andrade to win by manager interference, tainted win. Andrade and Zelina have great chemistry</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 55</strong></p><p> </p><p>

7. Velveteen Dream and Samoa Joe promo</p><p>

10 minutes, both rated on entertainment (80 for Dream, 70-80 for Joe)</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 65</strong></p><p> </p><p>

8. AJ Styles (pop 80) vs Ricochet (pop 65)</p><p>

16 mins, Styles to win, tainted finish</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 67</strong></p><p> </p><p>

9. Black and Orton promo</p><p>

8 mins, Black rated on entertainment (55-70, non-scripted), Orton on overness (80)</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 73</strong></p><p> </p><p>

10. Seth Rollins (pop 80) vs Akira Tozawa (pop 40)</p><p>

16 mins, Rollins to win, decisive finish, they have great chemistry</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 74</strong></p><p> </p><p>

11. McIntyre attacks Rollins, Murphy and Theory interfere</p><p>

9 mins, Rollins and McIntyre rated on fighting, Murphy and Theory not rated</p><p>

<strong>Rating: 73</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Total rating: 65</p><p>

Lost popularity in 24 regions, don't have enough storylines going on.</p><p> </p><p>

Now, granted, the show may actually suck, I don't proclaim myself to be a good booker at all, just looking for tips and tricks on how to improve so I don't fall in size and into a slump after three shows.</p>

<p>On paper, it's not a bad show at all. I've noticed you dont use call in ring/scripted notes which could give a boost for people like AJ Styles, Rey, Andrade, Seth, etc. Open match also usually helps boost matches a bit as well.</p><p> </p><p>

It just looks like a problem WWE has in real life. There's simply not enough poplar stars for a Popularity>Performance fed. I wouldn't expect much more from what you put together the roster just seems particularly lacking. Maybe ending the brand split would help so that you'd have more people capable of moving to that 75-80 range for segments.</p>

Some gimmicks make losses (of almost any kind) hurt a worker more.</p><p> </p><p> I would second the 'open match' suggestion and also suggest scripting everybody's promos. If they're not Rock or Austin, script 'em. I've seen scripting raise a 66 rated angle to 72. TEW20 is different from 16 in that even with maxed out entertainment skills and popularity, that doesn't guarantee a 100 rated angle (it did in 16 but does not in 20). Knowing that, it should temper your expectations a bit.</p>

<p>Thanks guys. I'll try the scripting and open matches, with call in ring for the guys that can handle it.</p><p> </p><p>

Am I understanding you correctly if I say that the popularity is the biggest issue here, and that I need to build up guys popularity to a higher level in order to get the segment ratings needed to a) keep my size and b) keep my tv contracts? As of right now, all my broadcasters are unhappy with the show ratings so I assume they will cancel if I dont shape up soon.</p>
