They were set to "default". When I get back to my game I'm going to try running a show with them switched to "normal" to see if that fixes it. Is this a bug? Or is there something I'm doing wrong?

 

Make sure your default setting isn't free.

 

Go to your Office and check the ticket prices in there. If that default ticket price setting was set to Free then any Events which have the Default price will be free

I was running a show in my WCW save and I had Cactus Jack vs. Vader in a deathmatch and the rating was like 54 because the fans didn't like the hardcore stuff.

 

What setting would I need to adjust in my product to eliminate this kind of reaction?

In 2020? You'd need to change the product itself.

Could be. Maybe run it by Adam in the tech support forum and see what he makes of it - although I expect he'll just say that now that the issue is resolved don't worry about it unless it happens again

Not able to access the game currently, is there a road agent note for a distracted ref finish?

 

If not I'll just use the regular distraction finish, just don't remember the phrasing off the top of my head

playing as tna in 2004 ruthless aggression, so this is the first time i have run a company using weekly events. while i actually really enjoy booking weekly events. im just unsure on the pros/cons of weekly events vs tv shows. my pop is rising slowly which doesnt particularly concern me to much. but was just wondering how much more my pop would raise if i added a extra weekly tv show would it raise my pop enough to make it worth the extra booking that came with a extra show. other option i was toying with, was alternatively. adding a "PPV special " every 2 months.. basically treating it as a next level event. that i can use to tie up all my current storylines. before resetting for the next 2 months.

If I want a tag team to dominate/squash, can I do this? Do I set both partners to dominate? Or just one? Can only one member of the team dominate or is it dependant on their Unit/Individual classification as a team?

 

Also, if I don’t chose to script the match or have it called in the ring, what exactly is supposed to be happening? Are the workers following a rough layout of the match? I get that it gives no bonus or penalty either way, I just don’t get what choosing neither is supposed to represent in reality.

If you own them, yes, you have to hire people for them. If you don't own them (they just accept your workers) then they will hire their own.

You plan the important bits, and make up the rest out there. If there's a 3 minute portion of your match where the heel beats down the babyface, you wouldn't plan every punch and stomp... unless you selected Scripted. You'd plan the big comeback though... unless you're calling in th ring. </p><p> </p><p> TLDR it's a mixture</p>

Question regarding toxic workers: I'm currently running a TCW fed (in March 2021), and Greg Gauge got himself in a scandal regarding his regular usage of prostitutes. He is now deemed to be toxic and essentially unusable for the foreseeable future until the storm has time to pass.

 

How long can I expect this toxicity to last? Does "foreseeable future" mean a month or two? 6 months? A year? Will I need to suspend him (give time off)? Naturally, his contract is up in 3 months, and I have huge plans for him going forward - he's become a major star (my #2 heel after Jay Chord), is the current leader of the Syndicate (having taken control of the group from Eddie Chandler after Wolf Hawkins turned face), and was scheduled to enter a storyline with Wolf after Wolf wins the TCW title from Chord at Total Mayhem in May.

Is there anything you can do to give new wrestlers making a surprise debut get an increased pop? Or just some way to show that they got a response from the crowd who maybe weren't expecting them?</p><p> </p><p>

It just seems to be quite vanilla and bland to have them "just appear", it would be great to know a way to maybe make the most out of a surprise appearance.</p><p> </p><p>

Any suggestions?</p>

Constant Error on certain date

 

Hello everyone,

 

Everytime I start a new save in TEW 2020, when i get to the first Sunday in January, and it goes to simulate the Sunday and go to the next day, I get a message saying, "Run Time Error 3021. No Current Record".

 

And i can never simulate past this date, so basically i can never play the game until it is fixed. Anyone else having this problem, or know how i can fix it? Thank you

Post in the technical support forum further down. Make sure you include what patch you are on and what database you are using. Also while you are advancing days at the top of the screen the game shows what is being processed. Note down what it says when you get the runtime error.

 

In addition some errors are covered in the faq in the technical support forum so you can check there for possible solutions.
