This system has a lot of nuance, and I get that people love customization options, but sometimes it is fun being forced into things.

What's fun for one person may not be fun for another. Everyone should be able to play the game the way they want, as long as it's possible with the code. That's just good game design, and good business.

Otherwise you end up with something like say Front Office Football, which I bailed on years ago when it became apparent that it wasn't simulating NFL Football, but was simulating "NFL Football the way the developer thinks it ought to be played."

This is why I respect you so much, Genadi. Thank you for saying (in a polite way, I may add), what a lot of us are thinking.

I thought I was polite too but I've been given a warning for being " unflattering and inflammatory", that post was quoted as being the reason. Well I've tried to bring issues to light I feel are vital to the health of TEW as best I can.

At the risk of being banned again for being "inflammatory" or "unflattering" I won't be posting again. GL TEW, I hope you improve :)

Here's a reminder to those that have been saying that Adam, for some reason, wants to punish people for playing TEW a certain way. Right at the beginning of the handbook, Adam himself states that there are no right or wrong ways to play TEW. I'm sure he supports all forms of having fun with the game. All ways of play are valid, as per the Handbook. Now, I do agree that some decisions have been made that do limit the sandbox play specifically - although there have also been additions in favour of that - but I seriously doubt those limitations come from some weird place of malice, intended to punish certain types of players. I think they are simply either mistakes, oversights, limitations, or side effects, and whatnot. And I personally do hope some things are addressed during the beta phase, but we'll see. I just don't think Adam sits there thinking of ways to make the game less fun for casual players, or something. That's just silly. :p

Adam - "This turned the feature into a crutch for extremely lazy, brain-dead play. Spotting serious decline now needs to be done by properly engaging with the game...."

Yeah I'm done, peace out. Genadi :)

I get the point trying to be made here, but what's exactly wrong with wanting players to actually utilize the many other tools, features, and talent in a game rather than deliberately limiting themselves just because of what names show up in a list? Not to mention the absence of said list has no bearing on your choice to bury or fire anyone..

The point is you don't get to do both. You can't tell people it's a sandbox in which they're free to do whatever they want while also ranting about how one of the ways they play the game is lazy and brain dead.

This is of course completely ignoring the fact that it's still incredibly easy to tell if someone is in time decline or not, plus on the very same screen you have next big things which is even lazier, but the point I'm making isn't aimed at the feature itself, it's aimed at his lack of communication skills and weird arbitrary decisions that are made when nobody asked for them.

Also I feel obligated to remind everyone on the TEW team that this entire thing could have happened and had been corrected if Adam had, at any point in the past several months to a year, said to Derek "Hey while you're playing the game could you press print screen a couple times and send me the images to upload? Thanks bud."

Same for the NBT and Hot Prospects. Ultimately whether they are in the game or not it's still your choice who to push and who not to. Nothing is stopping you from doing that. I get the whole rant about it might rub people the wrong way as it's directed at a certain player base(and I was one of those people who used it that way) but I don't see any need to take it personally. It was a redundant resource because as you say it's not difficult to determine who's on decline anyway. .</p>

In regards to some of the restrictions added, I think it’s a good idea but I’d like the option to change it in the event that I want a more sandbox experience. This would include allowing me to edit the status of workers mid-game, the mentioned product adjustments and contract lengths.

<p>This is going to sound like I just want more free gameplay, but I am being 100% sincere...</p><p> </p><p>

Can you stretch out the beta limit to at least 6 months in-game instead of the 2 months it is now?</p><p> </p><p>

I am really concerned that there are bugs/issues that are being missed because of the shorter term nature of the beta.</p><p> </p><p>

2 in game months isn't enough for the game to show all the features (deaths, retirements, new workers, randomly generated companies, etc) all of which could have bugs attached to them.</p>

Okay, let's everyone cool it, okay? There's no need for all of this arguing. I like the beta, I've not had any technical issues (like, at all, it's actually kind of weird) and like the game more than 2016, but I can respect that other people have had different experiences and different opinions and that's fine. Everyone disagrees on something, let's stop saying the same things over and over again, 'kay? Negativity helps nobody.

So something really awesome is that on the bottom you can take away the buttons there and instead switch it between players (really good for multiplayer) or search for workers or companies. This actually makes it easy to do searching, albeit I had to experiment to find that.

Is there a faster way to get to the "personal info" screen to see a workers behaviour, relationships and tag teams?

This used to be a one click from the roster when viewing a worker, now it's two clicks.

I was checking that and now I am asking myself if there's even a way to get to relationships (personal information) via the roster screen loool. Like, if you can view their profile from the (top 25 matches, job history, etc...)

Can you do that for companies? when I search for companies there's no criteria to set and when I hit search all the companies disappear and it just says loading.
