Location is charged on a sliding scale based on attendance, a venue is a fixed cost.
MachismoX
I have to say it's pretty rough for me. The last two weeks prior to the demo were rough for me, I was jumping off the walls, kept telling my fiancé (who was entirely uninterested) "only four days until the new wrestling game, only three days until..." and now I've had a taste it's two more weeks! Having said all that, I completely understand why it is what it is. Just happy be playing now and helping out by reporting bugs and fixes as I see them. My wife has been hearing the same. Now every day she hears "I'm just gonna tweak this mod I converted...you know...get it like my last save." "I'm just gonna...I guess add another ten of the top 500 for each year." "I guess there's no reason I can't get more people's stats/popularity right. heh heh."

mrsplash
I'm loving it. It might say post 1, but I've been playing for many of the iterations, and his other titles, and I am really enjoying this the most to be honest, and cant wait for the full release. GREAT work Adam! jp49er80
I've kinda got used to the AI. There's bits I still find hard or irritating (MOVING SEGMENTS!!!!) but generally feel like I'm getting somewhat used to it.

There's bits I still find hard or irritating (MOVING SEGMENTS!!!!) but generally feel like I'm getting somewhat used to it. Yeah, the moving segments is BY FAR the worst part of the new UI... everything else I can deal with, but moving segments is pretty annoying. It's fine if you book a card from top to bottom or vice versa, but if you need to take a new segment from the top to the button it's really bad. jp49er80
Obviously I mean UI not AI...whoops... Yeah, I find that hard. The rest I feel it's a bit like when Facebook or Twitter changes, we all have a visceral reaction to it, but you get into it over time. TeemuFoundation
I'm starting to get used to it. The attribute assigning system in WMMA 5 does seem better, though.

FlightlessGypsy
Absolutely, finally having a game that seems to be flowing naturally and I'm on a laptop that's fullscreening and not even my main machine. By the time I get back to my main machine, it'll feel like a luxury hahaha. For those still getting overwhelmed by the new UI, I recommend starting with a smaller promotion and learning the basics from the beginning again. I have a nice little WLW game going that is running a whole lot less stressfully now that I'm not attempting to multitask like a mad man. stratusfaction
<p>I've been around since the beginning of time with Adam's games but I haven't been very vocal on the boards but I just wanted to throw out my reaction to the beta.</p><p> </p><p> I downloaded the beta, as soon as it came out, just like a lot of people did. I opened it up and went into the editor to check it out. I was right away overwhelmed by all the changes. I have adult adhd and there was just way too much going on visually (not good things). My anxiety levels started to rise and I knew that I had to close it. I went back in the next day and the same thing happened. </p><p> </p><p> Luckily, our community has created some pretty awesome skins already that are visually appealing and they were able to clean up a lot of the issues that I was having with the look of the UI. After downloading and changing the skin, I was able to fiddle with the editor and I even though it's way different than past games, I actually really like it. If you are a regular to this franchise, it will probably take you a little bit to get used to it but once you get a good skin, it doesn't look that bad.</p><p> </p><p> I started a game and again, I was overwhelmed by all the buttons on the bottom and also all the randomness of the buttons in Office. I know Adam worked really hard on this game, so I feel bad for saying this but things look like they were just thrown around with little thought. </p><p> </p><p> I decided to stick with it and just explore everything. The new additions to the game are pretty awesome and I am really looking forward to starting an actual game and really diving into the long term effects of these new additions.</p><p> </p><p> This game was supposed to cut down on the clicks, however I am finding myself clicking A LOT more in 2020. I don't know if it's because things just aren't where they make sense and should be or if my mind keeps going back to older games but I am clicking more.</p><p> </p><p> Overall, I think this game has potential to be amazing but it just needs a little TLC when it comes to the UI and placement of things. </p><p> </p><p> I have read all of these posts on here and I understand why a lot of people are upset but Adam is working on patches and the game hasn't even actually been released yet. He doesn't owe us anything because we haven't paid him anything for this game yet, so I think we all should continue to provide constructive feedback and let Adam continue to work to make the game better. </p><p> </p><p> The patches are being released every day, which is more than I can say for the WWE2k20 game! That game is still a super hot mess! Give Adam time to work on some of the things that we don't like about this game because his track record is pretty good. </p><p> </p><p> Also, do yourself a favor and download a good skin, your eyes will thank you <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
MapRef41N93W
This is nitpicky of me, but it bugs me that out of all the Japanese companies with "touring" schedules, only BHOTWG and PGHW actually run shows in multiple regions. The others (even WLW, who start with 48 popularity in every region except Tohoku, where they start at 52) have one show after another with "Tour" in the name despite running them all in the same place. I think it would be neat to change the standard "tour" show names from "_____ Tour Night #X" to "______ Series Night #X". This would work for the companies that do actually tour around the country as well as the ones that don't, since a fair number of real-life Japanese touring shows have the "series" label (e.g. AJPW's Excite Series, Summer Explosion Series, etc.). Tman2135
I skipped 2016 due to the taped shows issue. Trying out the trial now and man is this different from 2013. I hope the changes are well worth the learning curve I'll need to undergo.
