TEW 2020 Small Questions Thread

Recommended Posts

Hey, I've been looking at editor stuff a lot in a save I've made recently, and I'm trying to work out what Cornellverse characters would have the That Doesn't Work For Me, Brother trait. Does anyone know?

Looking at that trait, I would sort of compare that to someone who is 'difficult' when it comes to booking decisions. As a new player, I have limited C-Verse experience, but I've had a couple of wrestlers who were talented, who I liked and booked well, but always were 'grumpy' or difficult when they had to put someone else over. Mario de Silva and Gramm Gorman were two early guys I had whose runs in my promotion was cut short because they were just so difficult...and in Mario's case, his stamina became an issue for the longer, intense ACPW matches.

I don't really have any more examples because I tend to weed out and stay away from guys and girls who have those 'negative' traits that would lend themselves to this kind of behavior...and I haven't played with any of the bigger promotions where some of the 'stars' might be more likely to exhibit Hoganesque behavior.

Your math includes the initial cost of starting a 'bare bones' PC and 'adding' from there, correct? Just so this is clear.

just checked, this is correct. 10M medium new vs 3,475,000 to get to medium via the upgrades. To get to 100% for training and facilities is only 11,125,000 via the upgrade method, which is better than state of the art for about half

OK, cool, thanks for doing the math. I like to do creative gymnastics to 'cover' for minor 'game world' issues, like this, that may come up...I can kind of explain some of the increased cost to 'start' with a higher reputation in my head...but $6 mil might be a bit much. I guess you're mostly paying for the 'reputation' of never being anything less than a MED facility from the getgo. Sort of the appeal with building a state of the art facility to kind of flex on the industry and show workers you're a first class organization. A smaller promotion might say 'were going MED' right out of the gates, and pay a bit more for the facility and everything that goes into...and with a lot of stuff, the price tag is sort of a badge of honor...like a new sports stadium costing $1 billion when they could probably have built one just as nice for $700 mil, but the owner wanted the fancy taps in the bathroom...

...also maybe a bit of a built in penalty for running before you walk?

I was planning to make spencer spade my figurehead in a few months after I turn him Face. I was looking at the figurehead entry in the handbook and see no bonuses/penalties occur for a year. Should I actually make him figurehead now then or will there be issues if he is still heel in the lead up to the 1 year mark??

I'm sorry if this has been asked elsewhere, I'm not even sure what phrase to search for... I just bought this game yesterday, and I'm looking for a screen that was in 2016 where a worker would say "I think I should be competing for XYZ title." Is that still present in 2020, and if so, where can I find it?

Can anyone answer this for me?

Pretty sure you're going to be fine if you make him figurehead now.

It's indeed not there anymore. Honestly, I never used it in 2016 as I could figure it out myself. And if it isn't tied to morale losses, what does it matter?

The PC exploit has been fixed already. Nice, but I just made mine. Not sure how much I need to substract now. :p

I've not played the game since June. Has Adam added any 2020 pandemic parameters to the game? No audiences etc...?

Why? If you think it'd be 'fun', just add venues with capacity of 10 and host your events there.

Is it possible to set a worker as confirmed to be leaving, in the same vein as the AI does when contracts come up for renewal? I know you just simply don't renew them, but thought it could be useful for players to use, such as on the contracts list screen, or other organisation purposes. I suppose could also affect workers morale and other companies interest in them, but that's something for if its not in game already and for if it goes on the suggestions forum.
