TheChef
The source that sometimes wrestlers don't want to sign longer contracts is posted by Adam a couple of posts before you. Well, that wasn't in Adam's original response, he's edited that in afterwards, but thanks for pointing it out because I would have missed it otherwise. Looks like you were right and longer contracts aren't always a positive. I've never come across this before but it will change the way I play the game. I've never been one to hand out 10-year contracts, but I always thought a good way to boost an offer was to add a year or two. Turns out I've been wrong all this time. Thanks for the info. TNoire
The source that sometimes wrestlers don't want to sign longer contracts is posted by Adam a couple of posts before you. In my experience (no proof) older wrestlers prefer longer deals, as they will still be earning the same money as they deteriorate. Younger wrestlers are the ones to consider long contracts as deals that stop them getting pay rises. I was wondering about that. I just got into a negotiation "battle" with USPW over two workers, and offered them very similar offers, i.e. higher pay, 10 years, etc. and one signed with me and the other did not. The one that did not was younger but only by a couple of years (both in their 20s still though). The one that signed with me was "driven", and senior in age by a couple of years. The other was "irrepresible" and signed with USPW despite the higher pay, etc. So now I am wondering if maybe there are certain personalities that care less about money on the table and more about company loyalty. (both were USPW employees that popped up in my newsfeed since they were up for renewal and on my shortlist)

Also, a wrestler is more likely to sign with you if you already employ some of their friends or family.

Not for nothing, but the one I was able to sign was "not a natural" and noticeably mediocre in skill level, while the one that got away/stayed with USPW was "100% Face" and more capable of higher level matches. Edit: However, since I am still early in the game this "mediocre" performer will be my biggest worker in terms of popularity. One big chip I could put on the table was doing away with the iron-clad clause. Sometimes if it seems the negotiations are very evenly split I can tip the odds (sometimes by quite a bit) by slipping them the same deal as last time but taking that out. I've watched larger companies completely back out after using that tactic.
TNoire
Developmental Companies and TV Deals Is there a way to force your developmental company to seek out a TV deal?
danyp92
Is there a way to force your developmental company to seek out a TV deal? You can make the deal yourself. In the child companies screen you can click broadcasting and then view all broadcasting, like you would do to make a deal for your company. If the child company doesn't have a tv show you can make one from the schedule screen (always from the child companies screen.)

Bobby Brown
What exactly don't you understand about them? They're fairly simple maybe i think a little too complicated. as example. in the editor: Jack Evans ... i want him to fight as masked Blitzkrieg in Japan, Mexico & Lucha Underground and as Jack Evans everywhere else. i made 4 alter egos for him ... Blitzkrieg (Japan, Mexico, Lucha) and Jack Evans (no restrictions). what would be the best thing to do, for having the Blitzkrieg alter ego's having the same mask everywhere. aaand what does default mask in the alter ego section mean? is this the mask that is worn by the main character (the person itself?) AlaskanHero
I've never really played Japanese companies before, so I was wondering, if someone with loyalty gets really over in a company, to the point their asking price would go way up, is there a chance they'll leave that company? I guess there is a chance, since the chances are determined using numerical variables and given that no number is greater than infinity. Part of the fun of the game is finding how far you can go until the odds finally overcome the obstacle.

I would need to do some testing but in this situation due to the small companies using “ongoing” deals it doesn’t seem like they would ever enter a negotiation period. But I cannot see where one goes to upgrade those values? Yeah i don't find it neither. Most of the time, i would give them a show in my own network. The solution, like i think ShaunGBD is suggesting, would be to add a new player from the settings as the owner of the child company, increase the production values and then remove the new player. Dave_Scott
So I made a dev company and gave them some title belts but.. it's been months and they haven't assigned any of them except the women's. Any reason for this?

Any reason for this? Probably because they don't have anyone eligible to fight for them. If it's a main event title, for example, only stars and major stars fight for that title. If it's a tag title, there needs to be enough teams in the division, etc.

Skallux
hey, I wondered, is there an overview of your current roster which tells you with a simple yes or no who is getting travel paid in their contract? I really thought it was in the game but maybe it was in TEW16 and not 20 anymore or something like that?
Tew101
Just read patch notes how much more often are attributes assigned to new workers? Before it was RARE! So excited that got addressed. Talking to people out of retirement and contract/wages adjustments look interesting as well. Very excited with these updates. Now time to figure out new save. tana
Is there a cap set by the game on how many companies can function in a region without some getting into money problems and going out of business?
Teh_Showtime
Is there a cap set by the game on how many companies can function in a region without some getting into money problems and going out of business? There’s no direct cap but more promotions means more competition and probably companies pushing their production levels way up before they can afford it. The AI is very one dimensional in that way. I’m not sure if regional battles effect attendance or not anymore but that’s part of it too.
